Though many sides use the openness of the Internet; it is becoming more effective for the conservative view, because the Internet circumvents the main stream media. Now a single blogger can take a major politician down. Now one stupid comment that would have never see the light of day is on Youtube 5 minutes after it was uttered. The conservative message is being read, watched and listen to by millions more every year, people seek their news, it is no longer spoon fed to them.
As the left more and more realizes that the public actually has an educated opinion, the more they over react and prove that their ideas cannot survive the light of day. They try to pass laws like Net-Nuetrality and The Fairness Doctrine, which only benefit them and stifle all other discussion. So that their historically monstrous ideas can be tried again to the peoples demise.
They always complain about the voices against them with smears; “Limbaugh the drug addict”, “The Tea Baggers”, never actually debating ideas, just muck raking for distracting purposes. Because they can not defend their ideas since that would be defending the indefensible.
Global warming B.S. began rapidly crumbling when hackers exposed 1000’s of e-mails, which proved what many of us already new; they were scamming us. Algore is now just a fat blowhard with almost no credibility, who refuses to debate anyone on the merits of his big scam. Every time one of their scams becomes exposed they give it another name, now it’s “climate change”. As they get called out by proof they go hysterical; Algore says if you are a “denier” aka like a Nazi, you are as bad as being a racist like his father was.
They tell the right to shut up and just go with their loser ideas, they scream and shout like a petulant child, never taking blame. Stupid paranoia is bubbling up so much in them that the over reaction is becoming hysterical. Within hours of launching http://www.attackwatch.com and the accompanying twitter account, the Obama re-election committee had committed the biggest Inetrnet mistake ever for a campaign. Their once savvy-ness of the Internet has become an Achilles‘s heal of terabyte magnitude.
I wish someone would build a website using lie detection software which put truth/lie meters under politicians while they gave speeches, rambling evasive answers at press conferences, not to mention debates. An app would be nice as well. Imagine a world where these guys had to tell the truth all the time, all of them!
The Internet hopefully in time will expose more and more corruption against all citizens everywhere. I wonder how Algore feels now about inventing the Internet, I sure know why Obama wanted an Internet kill switch.
Hmmm…seems to me I read somewhere someone had suggested an alliance of English-speaking countries under one banner…???
What would that be…America, Australia, New Zealand, UK,…what else…

As state, local and federal officials brace for a major offshore drilling operation to begin between Cuba in Key West in December, another exploratory well may be drilled a year later in the Bahamas.
The Bahamian and Cuban governments on Oct. 3 signed an agreement delimiting the two nations’ maritime borders after nearly 40 years of negotiations. The move cleared a major obstacle in the way of the Bahamas’ oil exploration goals since leases identified for their potential oil finds are near Cuban waters.

When I was a cadet, all plebes were required to memorize the definition of leather, which, if time has not dulled my memory, ran thus, “If the fresh skin of an animal be divested of hair and other extraneous matter and be immersed in a saturated solution of tannic acid, chemical combinations occur which transform the hide into a fibrous tissue insoluble in and impervious to water; this is leather.”
Similarly, when the subject of this conference is immersed in the cerebral fluid of Regular Soldiers, it emerges not theory, but tactics.
The chemistry of legal phraseology and erudite philosophy which produce these tactics are in fact as little germane to our work as are the metamorphoses of the tanning vat.
Since, however, no picture is wholly satisfactory without a background, we shall make a brief examination of the historical and legal aspect of the subject before entering upon it’s tactics.
Middle East History—It Happened In March
By Donald Neff
It was 12 years ago, on March 14, 1983, that the commandant of the Marine Corps sent a highly unusual letter to the secretary of defense expressing frustration and anger at Israel. General R.H. Barrow charged that Israeli troops were deliberately threatening the lives of Marines serving as peacekeepers in Lebanon. There was, he wrote, a systematic pattern of harassment by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) that was resulting in “life-threatening situations, replete with verbal degradation of the officers, their uniform and country.”
Barrow’s letter added: “It is inconceivable to me why Americans serving in peacekeeping roles must be harassed, endangered by an ally…It is evident to me, and the opinion of the U.S. commanders afloat and ashore, that the incidents between the Marines and the IDF are timed, orchestrated, and executed for obtuse Israeli political purposes.”1
…..Before the current constitution was drafted, there was never any mention or acceptance of the notion that there was a (U)nited States, or that any single nation existed with power over the states. Quite the contrary was the case. It is very troubling that so many Americans have been fooled into believing that the constitution is the basis of our freedom. Nothing could be further from the truth, and nothing could be more misunderstood!
Recently, those like Tom Mullen and Bill Buppert have explained thoroughly why the constitution is not what it is made out to be, and many others have properly denounced this misleading document as well, but the general thinking is still very misguided.
Most continue to laud and worship this very flawed piece of parchment, and continue to believe that it is the creator and savior of liberty. Liberty lies in the essence of man, not in documents secretly drafted in the dark of night by the few. The free spirit of the people must awaken before any real freedom becomes evident, and in that awakening they must realize the great importance of the individual and of individual responsibility.
My intent here is not to claim that our original constitution, The Articles of Confederation, were a perfect set of rules, or that any set of rules established by simple men could be perfect. My intent is to expose the lie that is our current constitution.
If we as a people could see the truth of why our original constitution was completely scrapped in favor of our current one, maybe a more widespread anger would arise. Once it is accepted that the Hamiltonians in 1787 staged a coup to destroy states rights in favor of federal power, and to destroy individual liberty in favor of nationalism, then maybe more will begin to question their false idolization of the constitution. One could only hope for such an awakening.
Before this constitution, there was no power whatsoever for the federal government to tax. That was left entirely to the individual states. Now the Feds have an unlimited power to tax. In Article 1, Section 8, the taxing clause states, “Congress has the power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts, and excises for the common defense and general welfare of the United States.” I see no limits mentioned here whatsoever, and given the term “General Welfare” of the (U)nited States, there is no reason to believe that any restriction was intended.
Many so-called constitutional scholars will argue this, saying that all spending must be “constitutional”, or within the confines of the taxing and spending clauses, but these arguments can easily be refuted given the broad and sweeping language in this section.
This was in my opinion done explicitly by design. Article 1, Section 8 is nothing if it is not an all-encompassing, unrestricted, and explicit enabler of unlimited governmental power…..

There are going to be many lawsuits filed to keep Obama/Soetoro/Dunham off the ballot in 2012. Take money to the bank on that.
During the current on-going battle over Obama/Soetoro’s usurpation of the office of the president and Americans trying to understand the difference between U.S. citizen and ‘natural born citizen’ as required by the U.S. Constitution, John McCain’s name continues to be used as an example of a natural born citizen. But, is it true?
The chicanery that went on back in 2008 was for a reason, because as we know, nothing that goes on in the District of Criminals isn’t well thought out by the evil doers.
Please note the dates of importance: McCain was born in 1936. Johnny boy claims he was born in a military hospital that wasn’t even authorized until 1941. Act surprised. McCain lied and the lackeys in the “mainstream” media and cable network anchors were either too lazy to do serious research or politically biased to expose the truth. Again.

In other words, if you print a t-shirt or produce a publication with a TSA logo, the government may soon be able to arrest and prosecute you.
The language states that it would be illegal to “convey the impression” that you are representing the TSA, but this interpretation would likely be left to federal prosecutors.
In the past, satire was protected under the First Amendment, but it may soon be illegal to poke fun at the TSA or use its logo or even utter its name. Notice there is no exception in the above language for parody……

was once known as ‘The World’s Foremost Authority’.
Professor Irwin Corey, comedian, actor and left-wing political activist, strolls along Manhattan’s East 35th Street pan-handling every day, seven days a week, for the last 17 years.
Of course professor Corey – who has enjoyed a long and illustrious career spanning Broadway, television, theatre and comedy clubs – does not need the money.
In fact he is not even homeless, despite his scruffy, scrawny appearance, but has an apartment in an affluent area of New York which he believes to be worth $3.5million.
His reasons for posing as a homeless down-and-outer and hassling drivers for change are two-fold: Since his wife of seventy years Fran died in May he said it helps beat the loneliness.
The 97-year-old also donates all the money he raises – sometimes up to $250 a day – to a charity that buys medical supplies for children in Cuba.

Bernard Goetz became famous for his Dec. 1984 jaw dropping 5 shot quick fire response to four black assailants in a Manhattan subway car with his unlicensed .38 caliber J frame Smith and Wesson revolver.
Goetz hit all four of the “youths” who, when the shooting occurred on that NY City # 2 train, had fourteen criminal bench warrants against them.
Q: Based on what you’ve been through between Dec.22nd 1984 and today, if you were faced with the same situation now would you shoot them again and how would you have acted differently?
“If I was carrying a gun, in the same situation I would do the same thing, namely shoot as many as I can as quickly as I can. The reason for this is because they were almost on top of me. When Troy Canty was asked how close he came to me, he said “I could have touched his face.”
Q: How did you manage to get out of the train and get to the next station in one piece when you escaped? “Running on the subway tracks is no big deal. I did that as a teenager and so have many others.”
Q: Recently we’ve seen flash mobs stealing in stores and beating innocent people. Do you believe there are now thousands of Bernard Goetz’s out there who are about to stand up for their rights but on a more massive scale than we’ve ever dreamed?
“25 years ago my main concern was violent crime and 2nd amendment rights, but I’m not concerned with that now. If another mass shooting of criminals happens again it probably won’t be in New York, but in a high crime area like Detroit, Chicago….

SOUTH BEND – Minus suspected fakes, then Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama likely fell short of the number of signatures needed to appear on the 2008 Indiana primary ballot, and it’s possible his opponent, Hillary Clinton, did as well, according to information obtained by The Tribune as part of an investigation into suspected ballot petition fraud.
Trent Deckard, Democratic co-director of the state Election Division, in an e-mail Thursday told The Tribune Obama’s 2008 petition for primary ballot placement in the state contained just 534 certified signatures in the 2nd Congressional District. Clinton’s petition contained 704 certified signatures, he said.
Presidential candidates must collect at least 500 signatures in each of the state’s nine congressional districts to appear on the statewide primary ballot in Indiana.
As reported Sunday, The Tribune, in conjunction with Howey Politics Indiana, has uncovered scores of fake signatures on both the Obama and Clinton petitions in the 2nd Congressional District and specifically St. Joseph County. ~ snip ~
Responding to the ballot question, state Republican Party Chair Eric Holcomb said in a statement Thursday: “I’ve consistently said Barack Obama earned his narrow victory in Indiana. If these new allegations are true, that’s no longer the case. He wouldn’t have visited the state 48 times and aired countless commercials because he wouldn’t have even been on the primary ballot.”
Holcomb, who has called on the Department of Justice to investigate the Clinton and Obama petitions, also responded to a report that the suspected fake Obama petition pages passed through the county voter registration office on days when the Republican member of the office was out.
“The evidence currently suggests this was clearly not a clerical error or simple oversight,” Holcomb said. “Multiple crimes have been committed in a brazen violation of the public trust against the people of Indiana and our electoral process.”
…..The Republican leadership is telling the American people that they will do whatever they please because, in the end, we will be forced to vote for the candidate that they choose behind closed doors.
They are wrong.
If the political elites, both Republican and Democrat elites, feel free to ignore the Constitution and consider themselves above the law, then our republic is already sliding down the slippery slope towards ruin.
In my opinion, it would be better to let the system collapse and rebuild it than sanction the continuation of corruption in Washington, D.C.
The Founding Fathers warned us that we could face just such a situation when America would be transformed from a government of laws to a government of greedy and evil men.
I would rather not vote at all than vote for Mitt Romney.

Republican Congressman says Obama should have troops on standby for military response

Confirmation of this fact comes in the form of a study from the University of Minnesota, published to the Smart Politics blog.

The purpose of this tract is to inform you of the great urgency there now is in the world for each and every person to be reconciled to God. The Bible is the Word of God! Everything the Bible declares has the full authority of God Himself. Now, at this time, information is coming forth from the Bible which clearly reveals God’s plan for Judgment Day and the end of the world itself. The Bible has opened up its secrets concerning the timeline of history. This information was never previously known because God had closed up His Word blocking any attempt to gain knowledge of the end of the world. We read about this in the book of Daniel:
Ayatollah Khomeini, leader of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, had a saying: “The Americans cannot do a damned thing.” Tehran has tested that proposition time and again – conspiring, over three decades, to kill Americans in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Afghanistan.
Now we have learned of an audacious plot to launch terrorist attacks on American soil. One hesitates to imagine the consequences if, after this, we allow Khomeini’s heirs to acquire nuclear weapons. No one will be able to say we were not warned.
Lessons? Short term, Iran must be made to pay a price. The sanctions implemented so far have been only a shot across the bow. There is much more that can be done to isolate Iran economically and diplomatically. In addition, the millions of Iranians who oppose the theocratic regime should be supported and empowered. And there are other measures, more painful, that can be taken. We need to make clear that they are very much on the table.
Longer term, we need to finally recognize that Iran and other self-proclaimed jihadi regimes and groups are waging a war – a real war, not a metaphoric war. In response, America’s economic policies must become national security policies. As Bernie Marcus, the entrepreneur who founded the Home Depot recently said: “If the country is not strong economically, we can’t be strong period.”
Energy policy also must become national security policy. Right now, 97 percent of all transportation systems in the United States can run only on petroleum-based products. That makes oil a strategic community, one whose price is manipulated by OPEC, a conspiracy in restraint of trade dominated by Iran and other regimes hostile to America.
If transportation fuel were more abundant and cheaper, that would weaken OPEC – while strengthening both our economy and national security. How do we get there from here?
Most immediately: Re-open the Gulf of Mexico to oil production. In 2010, following an offshore drilling rig explosion, the federal government instituted a moratorium on deepwater drilling in the Gulf and halted much of the shallow-water drilling as well. It was essential to find out whether other rigs were at risk. Once that question was answered, the moratorium was lifted – in theory. In fact, the Interior Department has been refusing to issue permits for offshore operations.
David Holt, president of the Consumer Energy Alliance, a pro-energy advocacy group, calculates that 200,000 jobs have been killed as a result, and that another 380,000 are threatened.
But re-opening the Gulf for energy production, he said, would “create thousands of new jobs in nearly every state across the country, spur economic growth and enhance our national security.” More precisely, he cited a recent study concluding that increasing permit approvals for oil and gas exploration in the Gulf would “create 230,000 new jobs …bolster U.S. gross domestic product by $44 billion and generate nearly $12 billion in revenue to state and federal treasuries. In addition, opening the Gulf would increase domestic oil production by more than 400,000 barrels per day, reducing U.S. spending on imported oil by $15 billion.”
The Gulf is not the only area where vast amounts of energy are waiting to be tapped. The development of new technologies and techniques, such as “horizontal drilling” and hydraulic fracturing, have made it possible to recover vast amounts of oil and natural gas from the Bakken oil fields of Montana and North Dakota, and the Marcellus Shale in the Appalachian Basin.
But when Harold Hamm, the discoverer of the Bakken oil fields, recently told President Obama about “the revolution in the oil and gas industry and how we have the capacity to produce enough oil to enable America to replace OPEC,” Obama was dismissive, as the Wall Street Journal’s Steve Moore reported:
“[Obama] turned to me and said, ‘Oil and gas will be important for the next few years. But we need to go on to green and alternative energy. [Energy] Secretary [Steven] Chu has assured me that within five years, we can have a battery developed that will make a car with the equivalent of 130 miles per gallon.'” Mr. Hamm holds his head in his hands and says, “Even if you believed that, why would you want to stop oil and gas development? It was pretty disappointing.”…..

“Grenade-walking” part of “Gunwalker” scandal
(CBS News) There’s a new twist in the government’s “gunwalking” scandal involving an even more dangerous weapon: grenades.
CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson, who has reported on this story from the beginning, said on “The Early Show” that the investigation into the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF)’s so-called “Fast and Furious” operation branches out to a case involving grenades. Sources tell her a suspect was left to traffic and manufacture them for Mexican drug cartels.
Police say Jean Baptiste Kingery, a U.S. citizen, was a veritable grenade machine. He’s accused of smuggling parts for as many as 2,000 grenades into Mexico for killer drug cartels — sometimes under the direct watch of U.S. law enforcement.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Grenades are weapons-of-choice for the cartels. An attack on Aug. 25 in a Monterrey, Mexico casino killed 53 people.
Sources tell CBS News that, in January 2010, ATF had Kingery under surveillance after he bought about 50 grenade bodies and headed to Mexico. But they say prosecutors wouldn’t agree to make a case. So, as ATF agents looked on, Kingery and the grenade parts crossed the border — and simply disappeared.
Six months later, Kingery allegedly got caught leaving the U.S. for Mexico with 114 disassembled grenades in a tire. One ATF agent told investigators he literally begged prosecutors to keep Kingery in custody this time, fearing he was supplying narco-terrorists, but was again ordered to let Kingery go.

Iran Terror Plot: No Evidence
There is no mystery where the Occupy Wall Street movement came from: It is an offspring of the same false narrative about the causes of the financial crisis that exculpated the government and brought us the Dodd-Frank Act. According to this story, the financial crisis and ensuing deep recession was caused by a reckless private sector driven by greed and insufficiently regulated. It is no wonder that people who hear this tale repeated endlessly in the media turn on Wall Street to express their frustration with the current conditions in the economy. Their anger should be directed at those who developed and supported the federal government’s housing policies that were responsible for the financial crisis. – Wall Street Journal
Dominant Social Theme: Look here, look here … It’s government policies, see! Don’t look THERE. Don’t look at central banking. Look away from there. Look here … at government.
Free-Market Analysis: Peter Wallison, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and member of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission has had a high profile of late, publishing several articles in the Wall Street Journal (see excerpt above) blaming government rather than the private sector for the 2008 meltdown.
When the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission (FCIC), he tells us, reported in January that the 2008 crisis was caused by “lax regulation, greed on Wall Street and faulty risk management at banks and other financial firms, few were surprised.”…..
Now it’s starting to get real serious:
Though initially skeptical that top Iranian regime figures were behind a plot to assassinate Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Washington, U.S. government officials became convinced by the operation’s money trail and now consider it likely that Iran’s supreme leader was aware of the plan.
“This is the kind of operation — the assassination of a diplomat on foreign soil — that would have been vetted at the highest levels of the Iranian government,” said a senior U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about sensitive analyses. “We can’t prove that, but we do not think it was a rogue operation in any way.”
…..Hamilton now had the ways and means to make real his storied dream: “A national debt, if it is not excessive, will be to us a national blessing.” The moneyed interests saw the advantage of monetizing the debt. By assuming the state’s debts at the national government level, a means of controlling commerce and taxation became an implied task of the central government. This may have been the first incident of the debtors from the Revolutionary War convincing their Hamiltonian allies that if they had the national government bear the debt and relieve them of responsibility, this could be used as the means to establish the coveted national bank to start the issuance of government currency not to mention the driver for increased taxation.
All the puzzle pieces had finally locked into place. Royce eloquently explains what has transpired in Hologram of Liberty: “To put a ‘gun’ in the hands of the new national government was the primary object, the great sine qua non, of the Constitution. A comprehensive de jure authority of Congress backed with de facto guns.” The Confederation is defeated and the long train of usurpation, centralization and tyranny leaves the station for what has become American history.
Hamilton’s machinations and influence probably single-handedly turned the product of this secret confab into one of the most successful instruments of political oppression before even the creation of the USSR. What makes it even more sublime as a tool of big government is the sophisticated propaganda and hagiographic enterprise which has both spontaneously and through careful planning suborned the public’s skepticism of the nature of the machine erected to control their behavior, which has resulted in an almost religious observance of all things Constitutional. Carefully cultivated over two hundred years, this religious idolatry had certainly fogged the thinking of this writer for most of his adult life. This sleeper has awakened.
Ask yourself this question: have the robed government employees who read the Constitutional tea leaves for the most part defended individual liberty or have they rubber-stamped the exponential growth of power and control of the colossus that sits astride the Potomac?
“Our constitutions purport to be established by ‘the people,’ and, in theory, ‘all the people’ consent to such government as the constitutions authorize. But this consent of ‘the people’ exists only in theory. It has no existence in fact. Government is in reality established by the few; and these few assume the consent of all the rest, without any such consent being actually given.”

Why Ron Paul Is Dominating by James E. Miller
Why Ron Paul Is Dominating by James E. Miller:
Bringing scrutiny to an institution that has operated almost a century in the dark is quite an accomplishment. And it’s all due to Paul’s unwavering drive to move the discussion from not limiting the growth of government but to stop it in its tracks and shift the clutch in reverse.
The GOP presidential primary contest will ultimately come down to Mitt Romney vs. Ron Paul. Romney will get the financial backing of the banksters and K Street crowd. If he goes on to face President Obama in the general election, America will be choosing between two shades of the same candidate. It won’t be an election but a continuation of the status quo.
Paul has an uphill battle to win the Republican nomination, but as far as making history and changing how millions of people view their government and equally corrupt financial system, he has already won. As David Franke says, “Ron Paul creates polls rather than responds to them.”
Not too shabby for a country doctor…..

The Fix by Jim Davies
The Fix by Jim Davies:
Happily there’s no shortage of accounts of the devastation governments cause, and Lew Rockwell’s own The Fascist Threat is one of the strongest and most recent. However I’ve not read many that suggest what can be done to fix it. Given then that government is so utterly destructive of civilized society that it clearly has to be eliminated, how can that be done?
I suggest the first essential step is to recognize that nothing else will cut it. Partial pregnancy is not an option; “limited government” is an oxymoron and two and a quarter centuries of malignant growth confirm that even in America, it’s impossible. Government will always use such power as it has, to acquire more power; as fast as it can without provoking the fatal question “Government – who needs it?”
So that must be the aim: total abolition.
One further, vital objective: resurrection must be prevented. Imagine all government disappeared, today at 9.00 am. By noon, the shrieks will resound: Where’s my welfare check? By evening, Pols will be rushing to fill the void, respond to the demand, and by next week government will be back in place. Additionally, the will to govern is so powerful that Pols would strive to resurrect the corpse of government even if…..

Does the government work for us or do we work for the government? Can the federal government take credit for saving us from a plot of its own creation? Tonight, has the federal government kept us safe or does it just want us to think that it has kept us safe?
Since the tragedy of 9/11, numerous crazies and low-level copy-cats have engaged in criminal behavior which they hoped would result in the deaths of innocent Americans and somehow advance the cause of jihad. If you ask the leadership of the FBI, most of whose field agents are tireless, dedicated, Constitution-supporting professionals, it will tell you that it has foiled about seventeen plots to kill Americans during the past ten years. What it will not tell you is that there have been twenty foiled plots; and of them, three were interrupted by members of the public. The seventeen that were interrupted by the feds were created by them.
We all remember the three that were foiled by diligent Americans: The shoe bomber, the underwear bomber, and the Times Square bomber. In all of these cases, the crimes charged were those of attempting to kill and conspiring with others to do so. In all three of those cases, alert Americans on transcontinental flights on or the streets of New York told authorities of bizarre behavior, or actually subdued the threats themselves. There was no foiling by the FBI. The plotters were – thankfully – bumbling fools who had poorly planned their criminal behavior, and who ended up harming no one. All three are serving life terms.
But the more curious cases are the remaining seventeen for which the federal government has taken credit. They all have a common and reprehensible thread. They were planned…..
BOOK WARNS OF END Fri Oct 14 2011 07:00:25 ET
“As the faith that gave birth to the West is dying in the West, peoples of European descent from the steppes of Russia to the coast of California have begun to die out, as the Third World treks north to claim the estate. The last decade provided corroborating if not conclusive proof that we are in the Indian Summer of our civilization.”
So begins Pat Buchanan in his hardcore work, SUICIDE OF A SUPERPOWER.
“Will America Survive to 2025?”
Buchanan, set for maximum controversy, launches all rockets at introduction “Disintegrating Nation” — and does not let up for 400-plus pages.
“America is disintegrating. The centrifugal forces pulling us apart are growing inexorably. What unites us is dissolving. And this is true of Western Civilization….Meanwhile, the state is failing in its most fundamental duties. It is no longer able to defend our borders, balance our budgets, or win our wars.”

WHAT IS TRUE CONSERVATISM?
(May 5, 2010) — I can’t believe CINO-infested Townhall has allowed one of its authors, Diana West, to mention the natural born Citizenship issue. I quit reading Townhall in disgust about six months ago because Townhall would not touch this fundamental Constitutional issue. I found Ms. West’s article via a Google search. Perhaps I should give Townhall another chance?
With this in mind, I just ran a Google advanced search on the phrase “natural born,” limited only to the “townhall.com” domain and found no other recent articles on this subject — an absolute zero (you know, just like the _resident-in-chief). There were quite a few hits from reader comments, so at least Townhall is not actively squelching all mention of the eligibility issue, but sadly, it appears that Diana West is the only regular Townhall author who is willing to formally broach this important subject in defense of the Constitution.
With that in mind, I think I will go ahead with my cancellation of Townhall.com and just keep an eye out for individual Diana West articles (it certainly will keep the email inbox a lot tidier)…….

A New Jersey high school teacher became the center of a Facebook controversy on Thursday after writing on the site that “homosexuality is a perverted spirit that has existed from the beginning of creation” and complaining about a school display recognizing October as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender History month.
The teacher, Viki Knox, posted a photo of a display from the school, Union High School in Union Township, on her personal Facebook page last week. It included photos of Virginia Woolf, Harvey Milk and Neil Patrick Harris. When a friend asked if the school had really put it up, Ms. Knox wrote that it had, and “I’m pitching a fit!”
In subsequent posts, Ms. Knox, who teaches special education classes, defended her views in lengthy exchanges with other Facebook users, referring at times to God and her Christian beliefs. A copy of the comments was provided to The New York Times; her Facebook page was removed from public view. News of Ms. Knox’s comments was first reported on Thursday morning by The Star-Ledger in Newark.
“The district is taking the matter very seriously,” said Union’s superintendent of schools, Patrick Martin. “We are running a thorough investigation. We will take all appropriate actions.”
Dr. Martin declined to comment further on the investigation, or Ms. Knox’s background, citing laws that protect the privacy of public employees.
The state’s teacher database showed that Ms. Knox had 12 years of experience in the district and that she earned $72,109 in 2010. Some residents and parents said that she also advised a student prayer group, and that, until now, she had not been involved in any controversies.
Ms. Knox did not respond to messages left at the school.

Manhunt ensues as Marshals search for alleged “hit list”
Paul Joseph Watson
Tuesday, October 9, 2007
Armed federal agents paid a visit to blogger Michael Hampton’s home on Friday, detaining everyone inside the house for 90 minutes, to ask questions about an alleged hit list of federal judges in relation to supposed revenge attacks in the aftermath of the Ed and Elaine Brown arrests.
The visit was part of a manhunt taking place in and around Manchester, New Hampshire, which also ensnared members of the Free State Project who had protested on behalf of the Browns.
“Marshal John Bolen of the U.S. Marshals Office of Protective Intelligence traveled to Manchester, N.H., to investigate threats of violence allegedly made against Steven McAuliffe, a federal judge in the district court in Concord, and other federal officials in the area. He brought along with him other marshals and agents who would only say that they were with the Treasury Department,” writes Hampton in his account of the incident.

The U.S. media and public are being riled up again with a new set of allegations against Iran, this time for a bizarre assassination plot aimed at the Saudi ambassador in Washington. But former CIA analyst Ray McGovern wonders if this is propaganda from David Petraeus’s CIA.
Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, in his accustomed role as unofficial surrogate CIA spokesman, has thrown light on how the CIA under its new director, David Petraeus, helped craft the screenplay for this week’s White House spy feature: the Iranian-American-used-car-salesman-Mexican-drug-cartel plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the U.S.
In Thursday’s column, Ignatius notes that, initially, White House and Justice Department officials found the story “implausible.” It was. But the Petraeus team soon leapt to the rescue, reflecting the four-star-general-turned-intelligence-chief’s deep-seated animus toward Iran.
Before Ignatius’s article, I had seen no one allude to the fact that much about this crime-stopper tale had come from the CIA. In public, the FBI had taken the lead role, presumably because the key informant inside a Mexican drug cartel worked for U.S. law enforcement via the Drug Enforcement Administration.
However, according to Ignatius, “One big reason [top U.S. officials became convinced the plot was real] is that CIA and other intelligence agencies gathered information corroborating the informant’s juicy allegations and showing that the plot had support from the top leadership of the elite Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, the covert action arm of the Iranian government.”
Ignatius adds that, “It was this intelligence collected in Iran” that swung the balance, but he offers no example of what that intelligence was. He only mentions a recorded telephone call on Oct. 4 between Iranian-American cars salesman Mansour Arbabsiar and his supposed contact in Iran, Gholam Shakuri, allegedly an official in Iran’s Quds spy agency.
A d v e r t i s e m e n t
The call is recounted in the FBI affidavit submitted in support of the criminal charges against Arbabsiar, who is now in U.S. custody, and Shakuri, who is not. But the snippets of that conversation are unclear, discussing what on the surface appears to be a “Chevrolet” car purchase, but which the FBI asserts is code for killing the Saudi ambassador.
Without explaining what other evidence the CIA might have, Ignatius tries to further strengthen the case by knocking down some of the obvious problems with the allegations, such as “why the Iranians would undertake such a risky operation, and with such embarrassingly poor tradecraft.”
“But why the use of Mexican drug cartels?” asks Ignatius rhetorically, before adding dutifully: “U.S. officials say that isn’t as implausible as it sounds.”
But it IS as implausible as it sounds, says every professional intelligence officer I have talked with since the “plot” was somberly announced on Tuesday.

Robert Baer: Iranian Plot Is a Bad Hollywood Script
Washington Bombing Plot Is Out of Character for Iran’s Professional Killers
October 14, 2011
Just when you think the Middle Easy couldn’t get any weirder, along comes an Iranian plot to assassinate the ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Washington. The plot has was described by FBI Director Robert Muller as plucked right out of a Hollywood script — if so, it would be a truly awful Hollywood script. None of it measures up to Iran’s unsurpassed skill in conducting assassinations. As for motives, there are no convincing ones.
According to the Department of Justice indictment, an Iranian-American used-car salesman attempted to recruit a Mexican drug cartel to carry out the hit. Other parts of the plan included bombing the Israeli embassy in Washington, as well as the Israeli and Saudi embassies in Argentina. The Iranian was willing to pay the cartel assassins $1.5 million to murder the Saudi ambassador. But the plot came undone when the man representing himself as a cartel operative turned out to be a paid informant of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). The Iranian, who confessed after his arrest, is now behind bars. The other man in the plot, a member of the Quds Force, a secretive special forces unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, remains at large.(Read “Did Iran Hire Narcos as Assassins?”)
Before examining these claims, it’s helpful to remember what we know about the Iranian unit implicated in the indictment: The Quds Force was responsible for the truck bombing the Marine barracks in Beirut. It was behind most of the kidnappings in Lebanon in the 1980s, including that of CIA station chief Bill Buckley. It organized the 1992 and1994 bombings of the Israeli embassy and cultural centers in Buenos Aires, as well as Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia. And most recently, it undoubtedly was behind the execution of five American soldiers in Karbala, Iraq in 2007. In other words, the Quds Force has been happy to target the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. But why so sloppy in this plot when their track record so clearly reflects a deadly professionalism?
In its 30-year history of attacking the West, the Quds Force went out of its way never to be caught with a smoking gun in hand. It always used well-vetted proxies, invariably Muslim believers devoted to Khomeini’s revolution. And when the operation was particularly sensitive, they gave the job to Lebanon’s militant Shi’ite Hizballah, organization the Iranians themselves had founded and which has an unsurpassed record in political murder. Hizballah has cells all over the world, including in the United States. But the point of it all was that if caught — and they were, more than once — Iran still enjoyed plausible deniability, a commodity in this business worth its weight in gold. So, if this plot was genuine, why didn’t the Iranians use tried and tested Hizballah networks and keep Iranian nationals, much less unknown Mexican narcos, out of it?

Details emerging from the dubious Iranian terror plot strongly suggest that the plan to assassinate a Saudi ambassador was concocted not by Mansour J. Arbabsiar, who thought he was overseeing a drugs deal, but by the DEA informant working on behalf of the federal government.
Assassination Plot Was Pushed By DEA Informant 13profile articleInline
“The legal document describing evidence in the case provides multiple indications that it was mainly the result of a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) sting operation,” reports Asia Times’ Gareth Porter.
The document confirms that the assassination plan was “originated with and was strongly pushed by an undercover DEA [Department of Drug Enforcement] informant, at the direction of the FBI”.
Geopolitical experts have almost universally questioned why the highly professional Iranian Quds Force would hire a washed up used care salesman who had a drinking problem and a propensity for hookers to be the “mastermind” behind such a sophisticated operation, and why that operation would take place in the United States when it would be far easier to carry out the assassination in the middle east.
It now appears that Iranian-American patsy Mansour Arbabsiar thought he was merely involved in a drugs deal to sell large amounts of opium from Afghanistan, and that the terrorist angle was introduced by “CS-1″ – the DEA informant working on behalf of the FBI.
“On May 24, when Arbabsiar first met with the DEA informant he thought was part of a Mexican drug cartel, it was not to hire a hit squad to kill the ambassador. Rather, there is reason to believe that the main purpose was to arrange a deal to sell large amounts of opium from Afghanistan,” writes Porter.
A d v e r t i s e m e n t
The legal document fails to list any single example directly attributable to Arbabsiar where he mentions killing the Saudi ambassador.
“Both that language and the absence of any statement attributed to Arbabsiar imply that the Iranian-American said nothing about assassinating the Saudi ambassador except in response to suggestions by the informant, who was already part of an FBI undercover operation,” adds Porter.
Indeed, the record shows that it is the informant who constantly refers to the assassination. When Arbabsiar wired $100,000 dollars to an account in New York in August, he still did so under the impression that the money would be used in connection with the drug deal, the legal document shows.
The DEA informant himself was under pressure to pull off the sting because he had already been charged with a narcotics offense and was posing as a drug cartel operative in return for the charges against him being dropped.
It appears as though the entire plot was, similar to a myriad of previous terror cases, a case of entrapment where the FBI deliberately chooses an individual down on his luck and promises him money and importance, radicalizing him in the process and convincing him to commit criminal activities. Even so, there is no specific example where Arabsiar directly advocates killing the Saudi ambassador.
As we reported yesterday, an FBI insider who spoke with retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer told Shaffer that no details of a terror plot existed within the Department of Justice files, indicating that the story was largely fabricated by the Obama administration as a pretext to give Israel the green light to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, which many geopolitical observers are warning is only weeks away.

If it’s not narcissism, what explains President Obama’s habit of demanding something against the people’s will, being rejected, refusing to take no for an answer and berating the public he is pretending to represent?
We saw it over and over with Obamacare. By now, it’s part of our national lore that he delivered some 54 speeches to sell the public on his scheme yet never made a dent in the public approval numbers. Truth be told, in the end he gave far more than 54.
But that didn’t stop him from pressing forward anyway, and his underhanded methods at cramming his bill through Congress will also be enshrined in our national history.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but hasn’t he done the same thing with automobile emission standards and other environmental causes? He couldn’t convince the people that he was right, nor could he convince Congress, so he just colluded with his fellow radical autocrats in the Environmental Protection Agency to bypass Congress and impose these regulations unilaterally.
Let’s also not forget his pet project, the sainted high-speed rail, for which he’s determined to spend billions and billions of dollars in brazen defiance of the people’s disinterest in the project, their objection to further deficit spending, and the marked resistance of the individual states.
Obama demands we embrace his misguided fantasy, even though several state governors have essentially said: “Thanks, but no thanks. We can’t afford your federal generosity. We’re the ones who’ll have to maintain the albatrosses.” Congress has also pronounced it dead on arrival.
But Obama won’t give up. He never gives up. Because he knows better than we do. He tells us this technology is the wave of the future, but it’s actually closer to an anachronism. As others have written, it’s not well-suited for the territorially expansive United States. But that doesn’t matter a whit to him, because his real motive is to coerce us out of our automobiles. If he had his way, he’d mandate interstate bike paths.
Need more proof? Look at Solyndra. Have you heard any apologies from this administration about the colossal waste of federal money in pursuit of an environmental goal that Obama — not the public — is demanding? Obama is completely unfazed — so unfazed that he’s just allocated billions more to similarly reckless pipe dreams. He won the election, after all.
We could go on all day with this exercise, but I’ll conclude with reference to his so-called jobs bill, which is just as inappropriately named as his “stimulus” package. He’s never apologized for the immoral waste of $868 billion, which was wholly his baby. Even if the buck for every subordinate’s misstep doesn’t stop on the president’s desk, this one has his name permanently affixed to it.
It was a disaster in every respect. Whether you measure it against Obama’s promises for it or don’t even consider those, it was a miserable failure. He didn’t say he was sorry for adding so much more to the debt without creating the guaranteed jobs; he didn’t say he’d learned from his mistakes. He mocked us, in effect, for trusting him, with his cavalier, disingenuous claim that there were an unlimited number of shovel-ready jobs.
The man is incapable of putting his tail between his legs. If I hadn’t witnessed it, I honestly wouldn’t have believed he had come back for more with the jobs bill. He doesn’t trifle himself to give us any reason that the bastard son of Stimulus would be any different from its licentious father. He just stands at his podium, with his head raised and his tone haughty, and tells us that spending a half-trillion more Monopoly money is the only solution for getting the economy moving.
Seriously? You have to be kidding me. But he’s not.
And when Congress rejected this offensively ill-conceived project, he flinched not, but redoubled his commitment to force it through — piece by piece, benevolent dictator that he is.
Obama attributes opposition to his plan to partisanship, suggesting that Republicans only oppose it because they want to hurt him politically. That’s right; neither the nearly $15 trillion national debt nor the failed track record of Stimulus Sr. could have anything to do with it. And the prominent Democrats opposing it must be driven by partisanship, as well.
Obama is reduced to banging the table like a toddler, demanding he get his way. The only difference in the analogy is that parents correct their toddlers to keep them from hurting themselves; Obama’s opponents oppose him to keep him from further destroying the nation.
America’s 36th president, Lyndon Baines Johnson, recognizing his failure to steer the United States through the Vietnam War period, gracefully did not seek re-election.
You can’t blame me for dreaming.
With Greece on the precipice of default, and Portugal and Italy approaching the ledge, the European monetary union appears in peril.
Should it collapse, the European Union itself could be in danger, for economic nationalism is rising in Europe. Which raises a larger question.
Is the New World Order, the great 20th century project of Western transnational elites, unraveling?
The NWO dates back as far as Woodrow Wilson’s League of Nations, which a Republican Senate refused to enter. FDR, seeking to succeed where his mentor had failed, oversaw the creation of a United Nations, an International Monetary Fund and a World Bank.
In 1951 came the European Coal and Steel Community, love child of Jean Monnet, which evolved into the European Economic Community, the European Community and the European Union. A European Central Bank and a new currency, the euro, followed.
The hidden ultimate goal of economic union was political union — a United States of Europe as model and core of the 21st century world government.
With the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the EU expanded to the east. And the New World Order, formally proclaimed by George H.W. Bush in 1991, was out in the open and seemingly the wave of the future.
Progress was swift.
A North American Free Trade Agreement, bringing the United States, Mexico and Canada into a common market that George W. Bush predicted would encompass the hemisphere from Patagonia to Prudhoe Bay, was signed in 1993.
A World Trade Organization was born in 1994. U.S. sovereignty was surrendered to a global body where America had the same single vote as Azerbaijan.
The Kyoto Protocol, brought home by Vice President Al Gore, set up a regime to control the worldwide emission of greenhouse gases.
An International Criminal Court, a permanent Nuremberg Tribunal to prosecute war crimes and crimes against humanity, was created.
A doctrine of limited sovereignty had been asserted. Elites claimed a higher law than national sovereignty, “a responsibility to protect,” enabled them to intervene in countries where human rights violations were egregious.
Serbia, bombed by Bill Clinton for 78 days for fighting to hold its ancient province of Kosovo, was the first victim.
Suddenly, however, the progression has stalled. Indeed, the New World Order seems to be unraveling.
Emerging powers like China, India and Brazil are demanding they be exempt from restrictions that developed countries seek to impose. The follow-up summits to Kyoto — Copenhagen in 2009, Cancun in 2010 — ended in failure. The Doha round of world trade negotiations ended in failure.
China refuses to let her currency float lest she lose the trade surpluses that have enabled her to amass $3 trillion in cash reserves.
Protectionism is rising. Americans chaff at a new world economic order that has led to deindustrialization of their country. Congress is talking of defunding the U.N. as anti-Western and anti-Israel.
Why is the New World Order suddenly going in reverse?
A primary reason is the resurgence of nationalism. Nations are putting national interests ahead of any perceived global interests.
A second reason is the decline of a West whose project this was. We no longer dictate to the world, and the world no longer marches to our tune. The deficits and indebtedness of Western nations preclude more of the big wealth transfers in foreign aid that once bought us influence.
A third reason is demography. Not one European nation has a birth rate sufficient to replace its population. Europe’s nations are aging, shrinking, dying. A depopulating Germany cannot carry forever the deficit-debtor nations of Club Med. The oldest nation, Japan, is on schedule to lose 25 million people by 2050, as is neighbor Russia.
Militarily, America remains the most powerful nation. But Iraq and Afghanistan have bled the country and left us without the certain attainment of our goals. Old allies like Turkey go their separate ways.
Ethno-nationalism also explains a disintegrating world order. Aspiring nations like Scotland, Catalonia, Padania, Flanders, Ingushetia, Dagestan, East Turkestan, Kurdistan and Baluchistan seek a place in the sun, free of the cloying embrace of the mother country.
The desire of peoples for nations all their own, where their own language, faith and culture predominate and their own kind rule to the exclusion of all others, is everywhere winning out over multiculturalism and transnationalism.
Through history there have been attempts to unite the world.
The Roman Empire. Catholicism. Islam. The West that ruled much of mankind from Columbus to the mid-20th century. Communism, which conquered half of Europe and Asia but arose and fell in a single century.
With the death of communism and the decline of the West — in relative population and power — Islam has become the largest religion, China the world’s emerging superpower, and Asia the continent of the future.
Could this still be the Second American Century?
Not the way we are going.
