We Must Stop Obeying Unjust Laws

Judge Napolitano did the following interview with Glenn Beck on 10/26/11 to promote his new book: It Is Dangerous to Be Right When the Government Is Wrong. When a judge explains why we must stop obeying unjust laws, it is time to evaluate if the United States is still a country which follows the rule of law. Based on the abuse of power of the current administration, the impotence of the Congress and an activist judiciary, we must question our resolve to maintain our Republic. As the occupation of our cities across the nation continues, it appears that the desire for Socialism in the guise of Democracy will determine the fate of our government and children.

Or is there still a spark of the American spirit left that will stand up and challenge the government and the people to restore our rights as guaranteed by natural law?

Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you and good evening. The sponsor has been identified, but unlike most television programs, the performer hasn’t been provided with a script. As a matter of fact, I have been permitted to choose my own words and discuss my own ideas regarding the choice that we face in the next few weeks.

I have spent most of my life as a Democrat. I recently have seen fit to follow another course. I believe that the issues confronting us cross party lines. Now, one side in this campaign has been telling us that the issues of this election are the maintenance of peace and prosperity. The line has been used, “We’ve never had it so good.”

But I have an uncomfortable feeling that this prosperity isn’t something on which we can base our hopes for the future. No nation in history has ever survived a tax burden that reached a third of its national income. Today, 37 cents out of every dollar earned in this country is the tax collector’s share, and yet our government continues to spend 17 million dollars a day more than the government takes in. We haven’t balanced our budget 28 out of the last 34 years. We’ve raised our debt limit three times in the last twelve months, and now our national debt is one and a half times bigger than all the combined debts of all the nations of the world. We have 15 billion dollars in gold in our treasury; we don’t own an ounce. Foreign dollar claims are 27.3 billion dollars. And we’ve just had announced that the dollar of 1939 will now purchase 45 cents in its total value.

“THE SPEECH”: A Time for Choosing Our Rendezvous With Destiny

Today, everyday citizens find ourselves at a crossroads. Abandon the ideals of the American Revolution, or take control of our destiny. The American people are called to action. Every generation must decide if it wants to leave politics to the politicians — or whether we are ready for our rendezvous with destiny.

Forty-seven years ago this week, then-actor Ronald Reagan made his national political debut when he delivered what came to be known as “The Speech” in support of presidential candidate Barry Goldwater.

Confronted with many of the same problems we face today — a large deficit, growing national debt and growth in government — Reagan’s speech is as applicable today as it was in 1964.

Paid for by Brothers for Goldwater, which was chaired by John Wayne, the program was a half-hour television production delivered by Reagan to a studio audience. The basis for the speech had been built from 1954 until 1962, when Reagan was traveling across the country as a spokesman for General Electric Co. On what Reagan liked to call the mashed-potato circuit, he honed his message.

The concept behind General Electric’s program was the belief that citizens should be engaged in political education between elections rather than just during elections. Lemuel Boulware, a GE vice president who championed the program, believed, “The average citizen cannot afford to leave politics to the politicians.”

Reagan delivered the speech rapidly with passion and enthusiasm, and it is worth taking the time to watch it on YouTube today. What is most striking is the large number of facts that Reagan provides while weaving in his trademark humor and reminders of America’s core beliefs.

The following Reagan messages are still applicable today:

“This idea that government is beholden to the people, that it has no other source of power except the sovereign people, is still the newest and the most unique idea in all the long history of man’s relation to man.”

“This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves. …

“You and I are told increasingly we have to choose between a left or right. Well, I’d like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There’s only an up or down — (up) man’s old-aged dream, the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. And regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would trade our freedom for security have embarked on this downward course. …

“A government can’t control the economy without controlling people. And they know when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. …

“We have so many people who can’t see a fat man standing beside a thin one without coming to the conclusion the fat man got that way by taking advantage of the thin one. So they’re going to solve all the problems of human misery through government and government planning. …

“No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. So governments’ programs, once launched, never disappear. … Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this Earth. …

“Those who would trade our freedom for the soup kitchen of the welfare state have told us they have a utopian solution of peace without victory. They call their policy ‘accommodation.’ And they say if we’ll only avoid any direct confrontation with the enemy, he’ll forget his evil ways and learn to love us.”

At the end of the speech, Reagan challenges his audience to be more, to do more, noting: “You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We’ll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we’ll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.”

Nearly half a century later, the question remains a compelling one: are we ready and willing to have our rendezvous with destiny?

I don’t mean to be presumptuous, but I’m going to count myself standing on the shoulders of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and every author of every book I’ve ever read. I am an unique individual, in that I have no ambition; just ask my ex-wives. I’ve never sought fame or fortune, my name in print or my picture in the paper, and I still don’t. And as I’ve informed the Federal Election Commission and the Republican Party, I will not, under any conceivable circumstances, accept one penny in any campaign contribution, from individuals or PAC’s (Political Action Committees) or from the government’s matching funds.

I am a legal American citizen, born in the USA, as were my parents. I am part Native American Indian, and a town in Oklahoma is named after my great grandfather, a government Indian Agent who married the Chief’s daughter. Obviously, he was one of the few honest agents and regarded very highly.

I’ve never been in politics but have always taken a keen interest. And I wouldn’t be writing this if I didn’t think it was necessary, and it is. Obama is killing America and everyone who’s come down the pike to replace him, all of these Approved Republican Party Hopefuls, just do not have what it’ll take to get us on track…..

It’s bad news for gun-grabbers and other enemies of the Second Amendment – only 26% of respondents to a recent poll believe the government should ban handguns.

The poll is part of Gallup’s annual Crime poll, conducted Oct. 6-9. This year’s poll finds support for a number of gun-control measures at historical lows, including the ban on handguns, which is Gallup’s longest continuing gun-control trend, according to their website.

Gallup notes that the acceptance of gun ownership is not related to crime.

“In 2008, Gallup found widespread agreement with the idea that the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right of Americans to own guns. Americans may also be moving toward more libertarian views in some areas, one example of which is greater support for legalizing marijuana use,” Gallup reports.,,,

The woman who was subjected to a humiliating experience at the hands of the TSA when a screener left a note commenting on a sex toy in her luggage, says she is disappointed with the response the incident has received.

As we reported earlier this week, not satisfied with fumbling through Americans’ private possessions, one TSA screener saw fit write the words “GET YOUR FREAK ON GIRL” on a TSA inspection note after finding a sex toy in blogger Jill Filipovic’s luggage.

Filipovic initially tweeted a picture of the note with the caption “Total violation of privacy, wildly inappropriate and clearly not ok, but I also just died laughing in my hotel room,”

She later told ABC News that she found the note “offensive” and has decided to file a complaint with the TSA.

“I hope they do see the complaint, they’ll look into it and remind their staff that going through people’s personal belongings is a responsibility that should be treated with some modicum of professionalism,” Filipovic said.

The TSA announced yesterday that the offending worker has been removed from checking baggage, yet Filipovic, who is also a lawyer, says the TSA, along with the corporate media, is completely missing the point.

Writing on her blog, Filipovic states:

“It’s easy to scape-goat one individual here, but the problem with the note is that it’s representative of the bigger privacy intrusions that the U.S. government, through the TSA and other sources, levels every day,”

“The invasion is inherent to the TSA’s mission, regardless of whether a funny note is left behind — the note only serves to highlight the absurdity of all this security theater,” she continued.

“As much as this is a funny and titillating story, when I put the note on Twitter for what I thought was a relatively limited audience I was hoping it would open up a bigger conversation about privacy rights (or lack thereof) in post-9/11 America,” she added.

“It unfortunately hasn’t done that, and instead has turned into a media circus. I would imagine that the TSA agent in question feels the same way I do at this point: I just want this story to go away.”

In a further tweet Filipovic joked “Lesson learned: Don’t tweet anything you don’t want to appear on The View.”

While TSA agents are seemingly adept at identifying Americans’ intimate belongings, they fare less well when it comes to identifying potentially dangerous weapons and contraband.

As we also reported this week, The chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, John Mica told reporters that recorded instances of pat downs and body scans failing to detect contraband are “off the charts.”

Referring to still classified security performance reports, Mica described the TSA’s record as “sort of like the record of the Marx Brothers”.

While the TSA says it has initiated “appropriate disciplinary action” in the case of Ms Filipovic, she reiterates that the wider picture cannot be overlooked.

“The note was inappropriate, the agent in question acted unprofessionally when s/he put in in my bag, there should be consequences and I’m glad the TSA takes these things seriously,” she writes.

“But I get no satisfaction in hearing that someone may be in danger of losing their job over this. I would much prefer a look at why ‘security’ has been used to justify so many intrusions on our civil liberties, rather than fire a person who made a mistake.”

Despite telling a House Judiciary Committee yesterday that she only learned of operation Fast and Furious in December last year when the controversy went public, Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano actually helped launch the previous incarnation of the program, Project Gunrunner, at a White House press conference in March 2009.

“Napolitano, at one point likening the questioning to a cross-examination, said repeatedly she only learned of “Fast and Furious” after Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed in December,” reports Fox News. “She emphasized the operation, conceived and run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, “was an ATF operation,” under the auspices of the Justice Department, not her department.”

However, as the video above documents, not only was Napolitano aware of the ATF program to put guns into the hands of Mexican drug lords, she actually helped launch the previous incarnation of it, Project Gun Runner, at a White House press conference alongside Deputy Attorney General David Ogden in March 2009.

Operation Fast and Furious, which began in the fall of 2009, was merely an offshoot of Project Gun Runner, which was the umbrella program for a series of gun running projects under the ATF that stretched back to 2006.

In the 2009 video, Napolitano clearly explains the process of using the eTrace system to track guns as they went into Mexico under Project Gunrunner. This same system would later be used for the subsequent phase of the same overarching program, Operation Fast and Furious.

Of course, the entire notion of the federal government tracking the firearms in order to target Mexican drug cartels lost credibility when it was revealed that when the guns reached the border “the agency seemed to lose track of the weapons,” which were later used to kill border patrol agent Brian Terry and other innocent people. Of the 2,000 guns knowingly released by ATF agents, 1400 were never recovered.

During yesterday’s testimony, Napolitano also dubiously claimed that she had not spoken to Attorney General Eric Holder about Fast and Furious.

Contrary to his Congressional testimony, records show that Holder was sent briefings on Fast and Furious by both Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer and the National Drug Intelligence Center in July 2010, almost a year before he told a Judiciary Committee hearing, “I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.”

Napolitano’s claim that she knew nothing of Fast and Furious until it hit the news headlines is almost certainly a brazen lie, since she was responsible for launching the previous incarnation of the same program less than two years earlier. If the DHS chief is found to have lied under oath, she is guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice, and faces a jail sentence of a minimum of five years.

Earlier this week, Rick Perry said, “It’s fun to poke at [Obama] a little bit and say, “Hey, let’s see your grades and your birth certificate.”” And why shouldn’t he find birtherism fun?

Racism is supposed to be fun for white people who choose to engage in it. I mean, it’s gotta be fun to be powerful and dominant and flaunt white privilege. Right?

In a country where lynchings once doubled an occasion for barbeques — the strangling and perhaps burning of a Black body as the central performance act at a pleasant Southern picnic — why shouldn’t racism be fun for white people?

Birtherism is absolutely racism. It’s a clever, coded, politically-correct way to remind people Obama’s Black and untrustworthy and not one of us. It’s otherization: making him into an other makes him easier to demonize. For a candidate to say, “Obama’s Black, don’t vote for him,” would be too naked, impolite, and distasteful. But that same message is activated by the suggestion that he’s not like us because he’s not from this country.

See, racism seeks to put Blacks in a second-class position and to say we’re lesser than: lesser intelligence, value and/or humanity. We’re not one of the real Americans. Birtherism subtly says to the audience, “Obama’s not really one of us Americans. We can’t be sure he’s really from here. Is he a full-fledged American? We just can’t be certain.”

President Barack Obama’s political machine is increasingly making common cause with Texas Gov. Rick Perry against a shared enemy: Mitt Romney.

Romney is the opponent Democrats most fear, and whom Obama strategists view as the near-certain Republican nominee. Yet even among strategists who assume Romney will be Obama’s opponent, Perry’s newly feisty performance on the campaign trail has raised hopes that he may drag out the primary fight and bloody Romney ahead of the main event.

Obama supporters aren’t exactly coordinating attacks with Perry. But the Texas governor and national Democrats are reinforcing and amplifying a single, sharply negative message that benefits them both: that Romney is a soulless political opportunist who doesn’t deserve the presidency.

Just days ago in response to a Project Veritas investigation, Stein reported in defense of what he described as a “den for unbending liberals” — the Economic Policy Institute (EPI).

Our investigation (that Stein attempted to pro-actively undermine) found a Rutgers University professor and author at EPI willing to fully admit that when an EPI study ended with results contrary to their agenda, “they pay for it and THEY KILL IT.”

Veteran Scott Olsen Could Be The First Person To Die At A Wall Street Protest

Scott Olsen survived two tours of Iraq, but his life could be over after being critically injured by a police projectile at Occupy Oakland, The Guardian reports. He’s 24 years old.

As we know, Occupy Oakland got incredibly ugly this week as police tried to remove protesters from their camp in front of City Hall by using tear gas, fire crackers, and rubber bullets.

Olsen suffered a head injury on Tuesday night, and is now in critical condition in Oakland’s Highland Hospital. Jay Finneburgh, a photographer on the scene, managed to witness and take pictures of the incident. Police policy specifically prohibits the firing of these weapons at a person’s head.

“This poor guy was right behind me when he was hit in the head with a police projectile. He went down hard and did not get up,” Finneburgh wrote.

At first, Doctors told Olsen’s friends that he was in critical, but stable condition. Now they’re being told that his skull has been fractured and his brain is beginning to swell. Neurologists are in the process of determining whether or not he will require surgery.

According to Keith Shannon, a friend who served with Olsen during his time in Iraq, Olsen was hit in the head with a tear gas or smoke canister, and he has the scar on his head to prove it.

Meanwhile, Oakland police admit that they used tear gas and baton rounds, but have denied the use of flash bang grenades. Protesters, however, say they saw police use them, and the more video that comes out, the harder it is to believe the police.

Olsen hails from Wisconsin, served tours of Iraq in 2006 and 2007, and is active in both Veterans for Peace and Iraq Veterans Against the War.

(Oct. 22, 2011) — I have received information from multiple sources that Congressional Republicans are fully aware that Barack Hussein Obama is a Constitutionally illegal President and has committed felonies both before and after occupying the Oval Office.

Specifically, Obama is not a natural born citizen and, therefore, has never been eligible for the office of President. In addition, Obama has forged his birth documents and Selective Service registration and uses a Social Security number not issued to him.

The Republican establishment has decided that challenging Obama on those issues will be ineffective and will cause complete havoc in the country.

It is clear to me that Obama and the mainstream media have been thoroughly successful using Saul Alinsky’s Rules 5 and 9 of “Rules for Radicals”:

The other day, the impending persecution became even clearer, as Governor Cuomo, the highest public official of New York State, declared us to be enemies of the state and nation.

He was speaking to a group of “gay rights” advocates about the process that led to the passage of the so-called “Marriage Equality Act”. He was remarkably candid about that process, including interesting remarks about the power of money in buying votes, and the behind-the-scenes negotiations for votes. (By the way, this account of the event comes from the “Gay City News” — I refuse to link to such a source, so you’ll have to take my word for it).

When asked if he found persuasive any arguments offered by the opposition to re-defining marriage, this is what the Governor of all New Yorkers said:

“There is no answer from the opposition. There really isn’t. Ultimately, it’s, ‘I want to discriminate.’ And that’s anti-New York. It’s anti-American.”

Savor that quotation for a moment, and drink in the depth of its arrogance, contempt, and hostility.

No answer by defenders of marriage?

*Not the thorough and comprehensive philosophical arguments rooted in natural law, offered by Sherif Girgis, Robert George and their colleagues?

*Not the repeated statements of the United States Bishops and the New York State Bishops?

*Not the arguments offered by the public in the 41 states that have rejected the re-definition of marriage?

*Not the arguments that were deemed persuasive by 85 Senators, 342 Representatives, and President Clinton when the Defense of Marriage Act was passed in 1996?

*Not the arguments offered by Mr. Cuomo’s predecessor as state Attorney General, Eliot Spitzer, that were found persuasive by our Court of Appeals in the case upholding the real definition of marriage?

*Not the arguments we were giving legislators in the hallways of the State Capitol and their home offices, for weeks prior to the vote?

In reality, Mr. Cuomo doesn’t just disagree with our arguments, he denies their existence. He clearly believes that they are pernicious, beyond the pale of proper discourse, and motivated only by hatred.

That is why he has now declared that we are “anti-American” — that is to say, enemies of our nation.

Those of us who have memories of American history are deeply angered and disturbed by such rhetoric. We recall a time when Catholics (and the Irish in particular) were deemed to be a threat to America, and were openly persecuted. We thought that we were past those days, but obviously they are returning.

And remember, the Governor’s thuggish remarks don’t just target the Catholic Church, but also the Orthodox Jewish community, the Evangelical Christian community, many mainline Protestant Churches and Muslims, and others of no religious faith who all believe in the authentic, traditional meaning of marriage.

It is a chilling moment when the top elected official of our state — a man who took an oath to uphold the Constitutions of our state and nation — has declared that so many people are political pariahs. When he calls us enemies of the state.

This is legitimately frightening. We all know what the power of the state can do to its enemies.

Once Again, America Disappoints Its President

Hang your head in shame, America, for you have once again failed to meet the expectations of President Obama.

Attending one of his incessant fundraisers in San Francisco yesterday, the President who led America into stagnancy and downgrade expressed his sorrow at how Americans have “lost our ambition, our imagination, and our willingness to do the things that built the Golden Gate Bridge.”

Can you imagine what kind of paperwork snarls, environmental impact studies, and ruinous union demands would befall a project on the scale of the Golden Gate Bridge in modern California?

Barack Obama is wrong about a great many things, but this is the thing he’s most comprehensively and dangerously wrong about. America hasn’t “lost” its ambition and imagination. It suffers under plans devised by central planners who lack imagination, and it’s been sternly informed by the Obama Administration that its ambitions are reprehensible.

I mean really; what is happening to our judicial system? Have the Muslims invaded our formerly known Justice Department, which is now more commonly known as the IN-Justice Department under the non-leadership of the Communist infested Attorney Genera Eric Holder under direct supervision of the Socio-Communist usurper acting president Barack Who’sInsane Obama? It is beginning to appear very much so judging by recent reports.

For the past nearly 3 years, Obama and Holder have been in charge of the laws and other standards that were once subject to our United States Constitution, lock, stock and barrel; but which of late due to the free pass given to the Islamic Nation, supervisors of the deadly international Islamic terrorists, by those two men who swore on the bible to PROTECT AND DEFEND said Constitution, is more like a foreign dictator’s toy to be played with and heaped with calumny and scorn.

Both Obama and Holder literally HATE the very words put forth in our Constitution, the single most lasting and most copied document of its kind anywhere in the world, EXCEPT in those festering and smoldering dens of self-loathing and venom where injustice, murder and intolerance are prevalent where the tortured mindsets of Islam rule. And it is just that which these two lackeys who bore false witness when betraying their oaths of office are bringing to America’s not only doorstep but right into its intimate bosom.

But where is the outrage and the hue and cry for abatement of these slimy and sinister soldiers of slavery to their Islamic god? Where are our fervent believers in the true God who in heaven must be shaking his Head and bowing it in sorrow for the acquiescence and acceptance of the horrors, outrages and oppression of the stone age Shariah Law? Where are the people most affected here in America, the women who would suffer not only the intrinsic indignities but the physical tortures and personal diminishments that the Islamic law would bring unto to the ones we men nurture and adore as soul mates?

Women must stand up to these barbarians and butchers and not let them and their liberal Democrat cohorts demean and degrade their very souls and existence while on this earth that the true God meant for all humans to enjoy under freedom and happiness. Stand up and protect your futures and the futures of your young daughters and their progeny as well.

It is true there are a lot of men with backbone-less and feeble-mindedness, now under an irrational spell which our charlatan usurping president has cast on them, some obviously without objection believing this aberration of beneath the surface disfiguration and grotesqueness will deliver them into riches and luxury for their servitude. The most unbelievable of these boot-licking doormats of disgust are in judicial roles of infamy like their Attorney General leader Eric Holder. Many judges at the federal and various other levels have been mesmerized, at the least and arm-twisted at the worst to comply with their demands for acceptance or acquiescence of Shariah Law to allow men’s murderous treatment of their women and children…..

Many years ago I stood at the bedside of a young father as he hovered between life and death. His distraught wife and their two children stood nearby. He took my hand in his and, with a pleading look, said, “Bishop, I know I am about to die. Tell me what happens to my spirit when I do.”

I offered a silent prayer for heavenly guidance and noticed on his bedside table a copy of the triple combination. I reached for the book and fanned the pages. Suddenly I discovered that I had, with no effort on my part, stopped at the 40th chapter of Alma in the Book of Mormon. I read these words to him:

“Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, … are taken home to that God who gave them life.

“And … the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow” (Alma 40:11–12).

As I continued to read about the Resurrection, a glow came to the young man’s face and a smile graced his lips. As I concluded my visit, I said good-bye to this sweet family.

I next saw the wife and children at the funeral. I think back to that night when a young man pleaded for truth and, from the Book of Mormon, heard the answer to his question.

Americans continue to direct concern, anger and derision toward the TSA over the agency’s aggressive presence in the nations airports, newly released records have shown.

The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) has obtained 241 pages of passenger complaints filed with the TSA by everyday Americans, dating back to early 2010.

EPIC uncovered the documents via a Freedom of Information Act request as part of its ongoing lawsuit concerning the use of the radiation firing body scanners by the TSA.

“The documents reveal that travelers are angry and frustrated about TSA screening procedures.” EPIC states on its website.

“Travelers expressed concern about radiation risks to children, the elderly, and those with special needs.” the statement continues.

“Other travelers wrote the fact that the machines could capture naked images as unacceptable. One traveler said, “using [the full body scanners] is an extreme invasion of privacy.”

There is no Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. The Second Amendment simply tells us that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Unlike the First Amendment’s prohibition against Congress making laws abridging certain rights we hold dear, the Second Amendment is an outright prohibition on all branches of our federal government from infringing on our right to defend ourselves.

For a right to be infringed, it must already exist. The right to self-preservation is among the inalienable Jefferson spoke of in the Declaration of Independence. Without the right to defend life and liberty, those rights are devalued to academic dogma. The right to self-preservation, the right to defend life was not arbitrarily provided to us by fiat from a crown, a delegation of elected officials or a piece of parchment.

The right comes from God (or nature if you prefer). The mere fact that you breathe, the fact that you were given the gift of reason, providence dictates your right to flourish……

In an interview with Lou Dobbs on Fox Business, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) characterized Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano as recalcitrant and a reluctant witness. She testified before the House Judiciary Committee where she was grilled about Operation Fast and Furious by a number of Republican members of the committee.

Napolitano, at one point likening the questioning to a cross-examination, said repeatedly she only learned of “Fast and Furious” after Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed in December. She emphasized the operation, conceived and run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, “was an ATF operation,” under the auspices of the Justice Department, not her department.

Judge Won’t Interfere With Cops’ Gun Savvy(CA)

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) – Two gun owners cannot force the California attorney general to prevent law-enforcement agencies from arresting people in possession of assault-weapon lookalikes, a federal judge ruled.

Mark Haynie and Brendan Richards were each arrested for allegedly owning assault weapons in 2009 and 2010. Haynie’s rifle had a “bullet button,” which makes the rifle’s magazine detachable, and could not be identified under California penal code as an actual banned assault weapon. Haynie was released, but sued the city of Pleasanton, claiming he feared future wrongful arrests. Richards spent six days in jail after his arrest after the Department of Justice found none of his firearms were assault weapons. Haynie and Richards were joined by the Calguns Foundation and Second Amendment Foundation in a consolidated lawsuit claiming California Attorney General Kamala Harris and the Department of Justice should issue bulletins distinguishing guns with “bullet buttons” from assault rifles.

U.S. District Judge Susan Illston refused to issue the order, finding Haynie and Richards have no basis for their claim that they are in danger of future arrests…..

Image of document allegedly obtained at the Coast Provincial General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya, bearing the name of “Barack Hussein Obama II” and the administrator’s name of “Helton Maganga”

(Oct. 27, 2011) — An article dated June 18, 2009 appearing in the Saturday Nation states that the chief administrator of the Coast Provincial General Hospital was Heltan Maganga, whose name is stamped on a document allegedly obtained directly from that facility by Lucas Daniel Smith in February 2009.

Smith told The Post & Email in September 2010 that he acquired the document from members of the hospital staff after producing $5,000 to procure it.

The upper-left corner of the document contains a cursive signature for Maganga, below which appears a stamp with the following text:

CHIEF ADMINISTRATOR

COAST PROVINCE GENERAL

(ILLEGIBLE)

Contained within the stamp could be an email address in all capital letters, as the final letters appear to be “CPGH.CO.KE.”

Lincoln and Roosevelt: American Caesars by John V. Denson

This article is excerpted from John V. Denson’s A Century of War chapter 5, “Lincoln and Roosevelt: American Caesars” (2006).

It is interesting to compare Lincoln and his treachery in causing the Southern “enemy” to fire the first shot at Fort Sumter, resulting in the Civil War, with Roosevelt’s similar manipulation causing the attack on Pearl Harbor and America’s entry into World War II.

Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr., a well-known American “court historian,” has written the definitive defenses for both Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt regarding their reprehensible behavior in causing their respective unnecessary American wars. He clearly documents the unconstitutional behavior of both and offers great praise for the same. He attempts to justify the actions of both presidents on grounds that they were acting during a “crisis” pertaining to the “survival of the American government,” and that their unconstitutional actions were thereby made “necessary.” Schlesinger has stated that “Next to the Civil War, World War II was the greatest crisis in American history.”[1] His defense of these two “great” presidents is as follows:

Roosevelt in 1941, like Lincoln in 1861, did what he did under what appeared to be a popular demand and a public necessity. Both presidents took their actions in light of day and to the accompaniment of uninhibited political debate. They did what they thought they had to do to save the republic. They threw themselves in the end on the justice of the country and the rectitude of their motives. Whatever Lincoln and Roosevelt felt compelled to do under the pressure of crisis did not corrupt their essential commitment to constitutional ways and democratic processes.[2]

Schlesinger, however, recognizes the terrible precedents that were created by these presidents’ violations of the clear constitutional restrictions on their office:

Yet the danger persists that power asserted during authentic emergencies may create precedents for transcendent executive power during emergencies that exist only in the hallucinations of the Oval Office and that remain invisible to most of the nation. The perennial question is: How to distinguish real crises threatening the life of the republic from bad dreams conjured up by paranoid presidents spurred on by paranoid advisers? Necessity as Milton said, is always “the tyrant’s plea.”[3]

Less than a week after her five-person campaign staff in New Hampshire quit en masse, Rep. Michele Bachmann has filed her paperwork to compete in the state’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary by mail.

Bachmann is the only major candidate to file by mail so far. Most of the Republican presidential candidates—former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Utah Gov. John Huntsman, and former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania—filed their paperwork in person. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas and Georgia businessman Herman Cain both sent campaign staff in their place. Texas Gov. Rick Perry has yet to file, according to the New Hampshire secretary of state’s office.

Karen Testerman, who was recently an unpaid adviser to the campaign, told National Journal/CBS News that she was asked by Bachmann’s national campaign manager, Keith Nahigian, on Thursday to file the Minnesota congresswoman’s paperwork in New Hampshire. But Testerman said she informed Nahigian that she was unauthorized to do so because she was not a member of the paid staff…..

Dave Daubenmire — Public Schools are not Public

When historians look back on the decline of America in the 20th century they will point their fingers directly at the “public” school system.

Nothing has been as destructive to the American culture as the indoctrination camps masquerading as schools. It was in those “schools” that all vestiges of Christianity and American exceptionalism were washed out of the minds of America’s children.

America’s public school system is only “public” in the sense that the public foots the bill. They no longer teach the values of the public, but rather, the values of the educational elite who have committed themselves to a century-long march towards godlessness.

That has been their goal…the elimination of God from the minds of the children, substituting in it’s place a dependency on government in the place of God. If there is no God, then government becomes God.

The sad thing is, they told us exactly what their goals were, but we were too complacent to realize that they played for keeps. By offering the minds of our children to the Humanists we have paved the way for the moral wasteland called America that used to be a “beacon of liberty” to the world.

If the “public” schools were public they would teach the values of the public. But they are not. Our schools are “government” schools, controlled by the government and the teacher’s unions. But blind and foolish citizens believe that they have control of their schools because they get to vote on “levies” to fund the tentacles of the anti-Christ leviathan that is snatching away the minds of their children.

This is done, by the way, with the support of “pastors” who fail to recognize the wolf at the door. Instead of protecting the flock from the poison being injected into the minds of the lambs they are charged to defend, they choose instead to serve on “levy committees” and head up public forums where they sing the praises of the “public schools” that are dragging the souls of the children into the great abyss…..

In the past week, three events occurred around the globe that have great implications for American freedom. On Thursday of last week, Col. Moammar Kaddafi, the acknowledged head of the government in Libya, was shot in the head on a public street corner by a young Libyan man wearing a New York Yankees cap and in the presence of about 25 witnesses, none of whom have stated that Kaddafi was armed. President Obama praised Kaddafi’s demise, while human rights groups condemned it. The rebels who chased him from office have proclaimed themselves to be the legitimate Libyan government, and the U.S. has welcomed them. As recently as 2006, then-President Bush and then-British Prime Minister Tony Blair proclaimed Col. Kaddafi a partner in the war on terror. And as recently as 2009, Sen. John McCain personally met with Col. Kaddafi, and promised to provide him with military weapons…..

Big boost in U.S. requests for Google user data

U.S. government requests for Google user data jumped nearly 30% in the first half of this year compared to the prior six months, the search vendor said this week.

A report released by Google on Tuesday showed that between January and June of this year, various U.S. law enforcement agencies made 5,950 requests for user data from Google accounts or services.

The U.S. made some 4,600 requests for similar data between June, 2010 and Dec. 2010, Google noted.

Google either fully or partially complied with the requests in 93% of the cases, according to the search engine giant’s report.

Was the Raid on Occupy Oakland Really Necessary?

Both the protesters and the police are at fault for the violence yesterday.

I’m not clear on what happened in Oakland last night, except that it was bad. The police are saying that they had to deploy beanbags and maybe tear-gas because people started throwing bottles, plates, and rocks when they tried to clear out the encampment at Occupy Oakland. I don’t find this entirely implausible.

The protesters are saying that when their authority was challenged, the police reacted with overwhelming and inappropriate force, which I also don’t find entirely implausible. Since the police and the protesters seem, to date, to be the only two witnesses to this event, I can’t really call this one.

Since I don’t really know which side is at fault (both, maybe) I’ll offer some unsolicited advice to all parties.

A Declaration to Restore the Constitutional Republic

“A CALL TO STAND!”—- Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness should be the goal of every adult American citizen, not only for themselves, but for future generations.

That quest cannot become a reality unless each adult citizen possesses a patriotic mindset. The facts show that amassing self-serving political power and gaining wealth has displaced American patriotism among our government representatives, resulting in a deplorable lack of integrity and honor from our elected and appointed officials. Most Americans no longer trust their government.

Concerned American veterans and patriots, spurred to action by flawed and misguided interpretations of the Constitution, are determined to correct these ill-advised, if not traitorous, Constitutional perversions.

In accordance with The Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence, they seek a peaceful solution to the tyranny facing We the People and the generations that follow.

It is apparent, based on many indisputable facts, that individual liberty, possession of property, national sovereignty, national security, and freedom will not survive if the present political power base prevails.

The electorate voted for a President, not a tyrant. They do not want autocrats in any branch of government. Despots by their nature ignore constitutions and run roughshod over the laws of the land. Possible WWII submarine wreck found in PNG

THE Royal Australian Navy is investigating an uncharted wreck in Papua New Guinea, believed to be a submarine, discovered in a joint operation with the New Zealand Navy.

The survey ship HMNZS Resolution and the Australian Minehunter HMAS Gascoyne found the wreck on Wednesday during an operation to find and dispose of explosives from the bottom of Simpson Harbour in Rabaul – the site of an intense allied bombing campaign against the Japanese.

Simpson Harbour is an area known for submarine operations during World War II.

As with any wreck discoveries, immediate identification isn’t possible, the navy says, and work will continue to identify the type and the nationality of the vessel.

It has to be a cash purchase, you’ve got to live in the property for 180 days a year, it’s not a staging post on the path to citizenship and the visa won’t allow you to work in the US. That, of course, would stymie another central aim of US politicians, as the senator admits. “The bill [proposal] does not limit people from being productive,” said Schumer. “It simply prevents them from coming here and taking jobs that would otherwise go to Americans.” Schumer wants your money, not you.

But he and Lee have correctly fingered a number of trends. More than five years after US house prices began falling – they still are. Prices edged down 0.1pc in August, according to the latest survey by the S&P/Case-Shiller index published this week, and were 3.8pc lower than a year earlier. You may recall on this broadcast a little over a week ago, I reported on a homofascist vandalism crime accompanied by terroristic threats against the Christian Liberty Academy which was hosting a banquet by Americans for Truth about Homosexuality given in honor of Scott Lively, who is a pro-family champion and defender of the biblical truth about the sin of homosexuality.

Back on October 15th, in the early morning hours on the day of the banquet, unknown perpetrators threw chunks of concrete bricks through the glass in the entryway of Christian Liberty Academy. The demand “Shut down Lively” was written on the bricks. Later, a “press release” was sent to Americans for Truth President Peter LaBarbera, Church of Christian Liberty Pastor Calvin Lindstrom and the Chicago Independent Media Center claiming responsibility for the crime (without actually identifying themselves) and threatening further attacks if Scott Lively’s appearance was not cancelled. The Christian Liberty Academy did not cave to the terroristic threats, and the banquet proceeded as scheduled with no problems…..

U.S. President Barack Obama was recently asked why no Wall Street executives have been prosecuted or imprisoned for their role in the 2008 global economic crash.

He replied: “On the issue of prosecutions on Wall Street, one of the biggest problems about the collapse of Lehman’s and the subsequent financial crisis and the whole subprime lending fiasco, is that a lot of stuff wasn’t necessarily illegal, it was just immoral or inappropriate or reckless.”

That’s absurd.

William Black was a senior government regulator at the time of the Savings & Loan (S&L) crisis in the U.S. in the late 1980s — a significant but smaller financial scandal in which 1,800 banking officials were convicted of felonies, with more than 1,000 jailed.

Black, now a professor of law and economics, told sfgate.com: “We had well over 10,000 criminal referrals from regulators in the S&L crisis.

“This time, zero. The regulatory agencies have since gone out of the business of making criminal referrals.”

Robert Gnaizda, former president of the Greenlining Institute, who coined the phrase, “It’s a Wall Street government,” to explain why no Wall Street executives have been charged, cited “an unwillingness by the Obama administration to effectively criticize ‘too big to fail’ institutions.”

The White House is unwilling to charge anyone, unless they’re certain of a conviction, which can’t be guaranteed in advance. One reason it’s hard to convict anyone over the subprime crisis — despite warnings to Congress by the FBI in 2004 fraud was rampant in the mortgage sector — is the financial services industry spent $5 billion from 1998 to 2008 alone, on lobbying and political donations to Republicans and Democrats, in order to water down laws and regulations governing financial markets.

Today, Wall Street banks routinely pay what to them are inconsequential civil fines, without anyone having to admit guilt or go to jail, for activities such as fraud.

A second reason it’s hard to charge or convict anyone is government oversight of Wall Street is presided over largely by former Wall Street executives, who arranged the taxpayer-funded bank bailouts — raising questions about whether they were ever prepared to bring Wall Street executives to justice.

Third, Wall Street firms — through their Political Action Committees and donations from owners, employees and their immediate families — are some of the biggest funders of presidential campaigns, meaning their views count in the corridors of power.

The Washington Post recently reported a third of the money Obama’s top fundraisers have raised this year for his re-election bid came from the U.S. financial sector, up from 20% during the 2008 presidential election cycle.

The bill’s prospects there look bright, given the fact that even if 27 of its 245 co-sponsors failed to vote for it, that would still leave it with bipartisan majority support.

This, as one might imagine, has put the anti-self-defense lobby in a state of hysterical outrage. The Brady Campaign, for example, has renamed it the “Packing Heat on Your Street Act” (named, perhaps, by the same not very gifted intern who renamed full capacity magazines “assault clips,” or the even more ludicrous “Big Bullet-Blasting Boxes”), and has been shrieking (and lying) about it for weeks.

SAF Says New Gallup Data Shows Americans Value Their Gun Rights

BELLEVUE, Wash., Oct. 26, 2011 — /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Today’s revelation by Gallup that a record low number of Americans support a legal ban on handgun possession by private citizens demonstrates a positive change in the public attitude about personal protection and the Second Amendment, the Second Amendment Foundation said.

According to Gallup, only 26 percent of Americans favor a handgun ban. The annual Gallup Crime poll was conducted Oct. 6-9.

“American citizens have become increasingly aware that they are the true ‘first responders’ when a crime happens in their presence,” noted SAF Executive Vice President Alan Gottlieb. “The public’s attitude about gun ownership has changed dramatically in the last decade, and especially since the Supreme Court’s Heller ruling in 2008 and our victory in the 2010 McDonald ruling, affirming the Second Amendment protects an individual civil right.

“The public has also realized that all the doom and gloom rhetoric from gun prohibitionists about more crime and violence associated with increased gun ownership has been wrong,” he continued. “More Americans today own firearms than they did a generation ago, yet violent crime rates are at their lowest levels in many years.”

According to Gallup, there is also greater opposition to a ban on semiautomatic sport-utility rifles, often wrongly identified as “assault weapons.” Only 43 percent of those polled think these guns should be banned, down ten percent from the 2001 poll. Support for stricter gun laws has also declined, with 44 percent believing laws should be left as they are, and 11 percent favoring less strict laws.

“The pendulum has definitely been swinging in favor of expanded gun rights,” Gottlieb observed. “For too long, people were fooled by hysteria and misinformation from gun prohibitionists and their cheerleaders in the press.

This might seem like a ridicules question from the above average intelligence of one of the Forgotten Men. But is it really? Are you sure conservative and Constitutionalist mean the same?

I don’t think so.

Having followed and been intimately involved in national politics for decades now, in my former years I would have thought that in all cases a Constitutionalist was the same as a conservative. I had my pocket Constitution ready to be pulled out at a moments notice. I even knew a little bit of the Declaration of Independence (though I would often mingle the Preamble of the Constitution with the Declaration of Independence). All in all, if you would have asked me in the 90′s if I was an adherent to the Constitution, I would have looked at you as if you were from another planet…of course I was!

Benhabib also reviles a certain element of the political left that has teamed up with this Islamist sphere of influence.

Quebec leftists did not appreciate her criticism.

Over the past few days, instead of realizing that they are acting as “useful idiots,” these activists wildly attacked Benhabib, calling her “hysterical,” a “Joan of Arc” and “alarmist.”

For those ideologues, the threat or the danger of Islamism here is fiction and invention.

Before shooting the messenger, why don’t these people consult the mainstream media once in a while?

No need to read the international section of the news, where you can find out that the Libyan rebels didn’t wait to bury Moammar Gadhafi before they adopted Shariah law, that Tunisians just elected Islamists or that the Muslim Brothers are on the verge of taking over Egypt.

All they have to do is look at the national section of the news.

Here is a list of events that happened right here in Canada last week:

On Tuesday and Wednesday, in Quebec City, the National Assembly adopted two motions to oppose the holding of a conference in Montreal of the Islamic Education and Research Academy because of the misogynist, homophobic and anti-Semitic comments of its guest speakers.

On Thursday, the trial of Mouna Diab began in Montreal. She’s a Muslim activist who is well known because she was part of the delegation of eight veiled women sent to Herouxville during our reasonable accommodation crisis to show a so-called “moderate” face. Diab is currently accused of trafficking assault weapons to Lebanon.

Also on Thursday, the trial of Montrealers originally from Afghanistan began in Kingston, Ont., where members of the Shafia family are accused of an honour killing that ended with the death of three young girls and their mother.

On Friday, on a TV show on which I am a host, a viewer named Aisha called on-air to show support for the stoning of adulterous men and women, the wearing of the veil for girls starting at age four and to propose stricter punishments against homosexuals.

Also last Friday, in Montreal, an Islamist conference was held at the mosque al Rawdah, administered by the Muslim Association of Canada, which has appropriated the ideology of the Muslim Brothers. More than 150 Muslims and converts participated.

How many more Islamist conferences, “moderate” Muslims arrested for the traffic of assault weapons, and those of the Muslim faith supporting stoning or barbaric honour killings before our “useful idiots” on the left realize that we need to take the Islamist threat on Canadian soil seriously? Do we need to wait for a terrorist attack before they wake up?

Fortunately, we have some Benhabibs to inform us and raise our awareness of the danger.

A true and sustainable friendship with the Muslim community in Canada calls first for a condemnation of its most extreme elements.

Sheriff Joe predicts Obama investigation to be a ‘shock’

The results of a formal law-enforcement investigation into whether Barack Obama is eligible to be president of the United States could come as a “shock,” according to Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Tuesday night, speaking to a tea-party group in Arizona, Arpaio said, “I can’t tell you everything, but there could be a shock there somewhere that my guys came up with. I can’t talk too much about it. It’s in the process.”

WND previously has reported that Arpaio has constituted a special five-member law enforcement posse to investigate allegations brought by members of the Surprise, Ariz., Tea Party that the birth certificate released to the public April 27 might be a forgery.

The US Is Fast Becoming a Third World Police State

As a P.T. (often referred to as perpetual traveller, permanent tourist or prior taxpayer), I have travelled to nearly 100 countries. During those travels there has always been one defining moment, upon entry into a country, which shows that the country is what is generally thought of as a “third world country”.

It is the moment when, upon arrival, you are charged a fee to enter the country. The reason generally being that the government of the country has so destroyed the economy and/or they have so little understanding of what creates wealth that they think that the way to make their country prosperous is to charge a fee upon entry rather than allowing people to enter freely and transact, trade and spend their money in the economy. Either that or the government is so desperate for money that it uses this as a significant source of revenue.

They have this in Cambodia, Indonesia, Bolivia and numerous other similar countries. And now, they have it in the US.

The US has long-used “visa application fees” to bilk money from people in countries like Thailand as a way to raise money but now the US has announced that they are going to charge a $5.50 fee to Canadians upon entering the US.

The fee is ludicrous and counterproductive for many reasons. Not least of which is making it five dollars and fifty cents, ensuring that payment of the transaction will take twice as long as normal to make the extra change. Canadians who are one of the only large groups of people still bringing some economic activity into the US will both be turned off by having to pay to enter the US but also by the extra long lines to enter as they make change for this fee.

Not to mention the hilarity of calling it an “inspection fee”. Does this mean that if we would not like to be inspected then we don’t have to pay?

US lawmakers introduced a bill on Wednesday that would give US authorities more tools to crack down on websites accused of piracy of movies, television shows and music and the sale of counterfeit goods,” reports AFP.

“The Stop Online Piracy Act has received bipartisan support in the House of Representatives and is the House version of a bill introduced in the Senate in May known as the Theft of Intellectual Property Act or Protect IP Act.”

Although the legislation is primarily aimed at foreign websites, it could just as easily be applied to all .com domains.

The most chilling part of the legislation makes it clear that this is about empowering the federal government to create a blacklist of banned websites.

“A service provider shall take technically feasible and reasonable measures designed to prevent access by its subscribers located within the United States to the foreign infringing site (or portion thereof) that is subject to the order, including measures designed to prevent the domain name of the foreign infringing site (or portion thereof) from resolving to that domain name’s Internet Protocol address,” states the bill.

The only difference between this system and the draconian measures currently in place in countries like Iran, China and North Korea, is that the ISP’s would be mandated to enforce the ban list, rather than the websites being blocked via a centralized government hub.

Note that the website only has to be “accused” of doing something the government deems unlawful to be blacklisted, there is no legal process whatsoever.

Given the fact that the U.S. government is now ordering You Tube to remove videos that contain “government criticism,” the potential for this legislation to be abused to silence political free speech is clear. Add to that the fact that Verisign, the global authority over all .com domain names, is demanding the power to terminate websites deemed “abusive” when ordered to by government without a court order or any kind of oversight whatsoever, and the threat to web freedom is clear.

The new legislation, “includes the most controversial parts of the Senate’s Protect IP Act, but radically expands the scope,” the Center for Democracy and Technology said in a statement. “Any website that features user-generated content or that enables cloud-based data storage could end up in its crosshairs.

“Internet Service Providers would face new and open-ended obligations to monitor and police user behavior,” the CDT said. “Payment processors and ad networks would be required to cut off business with any website that rightsholders allege hasn’t done enough to police infringement.”

As we have documented, lawmakers like Senator Joe Lieberman have teamed up with Department of Homeland Security officials to push draconian legislation in an effort to mimic the Communist Chinese system of policing the Internet. During a CNN appearance last year, Lieberman said the goal was to empower the U.S. government with an Internet kill switch.

“Right now China, the government, can disconnect parts of its Internet in case of war and we need to have that here too,” Lieberman told CNN’s Candy Crowley.

However, China’s “war” is not against foreign terrorists or hackers, it’s against people who dare to use the Internet to express dissent against government atrocities or corruption. China’s system of Internet policing is about crushing freedom of speech and has nothing to do with legitimate security concerns.

Lieberman has already acted to shut down websites without a court order or any form of oversight when Amazon axed Wikileaks from its servers after being pressured to do so by Lieberman’s Senate Homeland Security Committee.

The DHS has already seized dozens of websites merely for linking to copyrighted material, despite the fact that such material isn’t even hosted on the website itself, a process the Electronic Frontier Foundation has criticized as, “Blunt instruments that cause unacceptable collateral damage to free speech rights.”

Here is a message for those nonunion folks who are looking for jobs: Don’t expect any help from President Obama. If there is any doubt about this, just examine the record.

Starting with the president’s pending $447 billion “jobs” bill, Mr. Obama himself has repeatedly stated that his plan is to keep teachers, policemen and firefighters on the job and to provide money to put construction people to work. Now just what do these folks have in common? If you have not guessed it, they are all union members. As noted by The Washington Times in an Oct. 18 editorial titled, “Obama’s jobs bill mulligan,” there is no provision whatever for helping nonunion, private-sector workers. Mr. Obama does not try to hide this fact.

Of the $825 billion stimulus package, more then half went to state and local governments to keep those unionized teachers, policemen and firefighters on the job.

If Suzy opts to heed the president’s call for public service, and takes a job as a city social worker earning $25,000, her payments would be limited to $1,411 a year after the $10,890 of poverty-level income is subtracted from her total exposure.

Twenty years at that rate would have taxpayers recoup only $28,220 of their $212,000 loan to Suzy.

The State Department on Wednesday defended spending tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars on books authored by President Obama, while White House spokesman Jay Carney called the book-buying an “embassy-based decision.” The comments followed a report Wednesday by The Washington Times that found the State Department had spent more than $70,000 on books by Mr. Obama. Most of the purchases came in the months after Mr. Obama won the White House, though the embassy in Paris spent more than $8,000 for copies of “Dreams From My Father” as recently as March.

The Libyan “war” was evidently waged for several reasons, and probably had to do with oil andwith ensuring that Gaddafi did not begin to use gold rather than dollars as the main currency for Libyan oil. Additionally Gaddafi wastrying to set upAfrican Union that would use its own currency and oppose the West on numerous economic and socio-political issues.

The biggest reason from our point of view may be that the West is secretly working to set up an Islamic crescent of countries in the Middle East and Africa that may provide a pretext for war. Most of the countries that the West is destabilizing will end up with Islamic rulership to some degree, or so it seems. Libya is no exception.

It seems to us that there may be war on the horizon – big war – and Western citizens are now to be desensitized to it, and to the enemies of the West generally. This has happened with such Western enemies as the USSR – the “Red Menace” and the German “Huns,” the Japanese “Nips” and the Vietnamese “Gooks. “

Gaddafi death videos are still circulating on the Internet, each one more gruesome and graphic than the last. These videos circulate throughout the world – and especially throughout the Anglosphere at a time when YouTube denies viewers the sight of a breast or female nipple because it might cause offense. Such images are stashed behind a firewall.

Conclusion: But when it comes to videos of Gaddafi being killed or assaulted with blood dripping down his face, we have a full menu of gory items to choose from. We can watch all we want. The images circulate unimpeded. The US Secretary of State laughs and releases her celebratory clip for all the world to see. What does this portend?

How difficult is it for the dead to vote in Illinois?

Defend the Vote tested this question in an April 5th audit of Chicago elections. Results were complied into a report. This report, Vulnerability Assessment and Security Audit of Election Day Polling Place Procedures for the April 5, 2011 Municipal Elections in Chicago, Illinois, by Sharon Meroni, was peer-reviewed and published by the prestigious Journal of Physical Security. The Journal of Physical Security is published by Argonne National Laboratory’s Vulnerability Assessment Team.

On April 5, 2011 a group of citizens from various political parties and the tea party, equipped with audit questionnaires based on the Chicago Board of Election’s, Election Judge Training Guide, visited 239 polling places in Chicago to score the CBoE’s compliance with their own security protocols. The objective of the security assessment (the Audit) was to test enforcement of security protocols that are in place to protect our ballot.

The results were stunning: 210 precincts (91%) failed on one or more of the 11 critical security measures that were evaluated, 66% of them failed on more than one measure. 59% of the time, the CBoE failed to secure the ballot box.

Included in the report is an analysis of the security around the memory devices and the seals that safe guard them. The stack of boxes pictured below next to the open door, contain all of the memory devices used in voting equipment on Election Day in the City of Chicago. Each box has the memory devices for one Ward. These boxes were observed in this location during two separate trips to the warehouse.

Roger G. Johnston, Ph.D., CPP, is head of the Vulnerability Assessment Team (VAT) at Argonne National Laboratory. Dr. Johnston has an expertise in ballot security. In reviewing our Vulnerability Assessment Report, he stated, “The paper by Sharon Meroni discusses an analysis of election security in Illinois. The findings are disturbing and relevant to elections elsewhere in the country. Election integrity is a homeland security issue and we had better start taking it seriously.” Further, Dr. Johnston found that “Chicago Board of Elections security protocols are wholly inadequate in securing the ballot.”

Legacy: Was Steve Jobs a selfish son of a bitch?

Steve Jobs passed away earlier this month with an estimated fortune of $8 billion. I have yet to see a single report about one single dollar that he gave away to charity. How is it possible that a person who was lucky enough to be born and grow up in the United States and take advantage of our laws, schools, infrastructure and patent protections could be so selfish? Compare his lack of philanthropic giving with that of other similarly rich types, past and present. Andrew Carnegie gave away virtually his entire fortune, over $350 million dollars during his lifetime – $5 billion in today’s dollars. John D. Rockefeller gave away over half a billion dollars over his lifetime – $8 billion in today’s dollars. Bill Gates has given away over $30 billion dollars and promised to give away most of the rest of his fortune while his friend Warren Buffett has promised to donate 99% of his wealth. The pair has created The Giving Pledge where billionaires pledge to donate a significant amount of their fortunes to charity. If all of these people can give this amount away, what was wrong with Jobs?

Charity and private giving has been a great force in America since its founding. Through churches and local organizations for those of modest means to building libraries, museums, or foundations for the wealthy, America has been a country where the successful and struggling alike look to support their communities as well as support the less fortunate around the world.

Apparently not so for Steve Jobs however… and charity’s not the only place he was tight. When he was alive he did everything he could to reduce his taxes. He used tax shelters to lower his tax rate from 35% to around 15% on millions. He put his real estate and other assets in trusts so they would escape the death tax.

Everywhere you look Steve Jobs was doing what he could to keep his own money. Not giving it away. Avoiding paying taxes. All while he’s taking advantage of everything America has to offer.

What’s wrong with a person who sees the misery going on around the world, from hunger in Africa to millions of poor here and does nothing to lend a hand? What kind of legacy is that?

When the robber baron Andrew Carnegie died his legacy was obvious. He had built thousands of libraries around the world, founded a university and built Carnegie Hall. By the time he died, JD Rockefeller had remade the face of modern medicine and created what was for years the largest charitable foundation in the world. Bill Gates is still very much alive, and he is remaking the face of charity. What kind of legacy is Steve Jobs leaving?

In 1977 he and Steve Wozniak introduced the Apple II, the first fully assembled personal computer. At the time the notion of a personal computer was an utterly foreign concept to 99.9% of the people on the planet. Term papers were still being written on typewriters. Math was still being done on calculators. Research was still done at the library.

In 1984 Apple introduced the Mac, the first personal computer to feature a mouse and graphic user interface. At the time most others still used the C: prompt.

In 1986 when he purchased Pixar, it was primarily a high-end computer hardware company with graphics as a side note.

In 2001 when Apple introduced the iPod, digital music was just becoming popular but most digital players were “big and clunky or small and useless”.

In 2003 when Apple introduced the iTunes Store the music industry was imploding and college students were being sued in their dorms.

In 2007 when Apple introduced the iPhone few people were able to surf the Internet on their phone and most competitors’ products were poorly designed and performed similarly.

In 2010 when Apple introduced the iPad, it essentially created the market, selling 5 times more than the rest of the devices combined.

Looking at all of this, the question to ask is, is Steve Job’s legacy going to be that he didn’t care about other people because he didn’t give his money away or let the government take it? Or is it going to be the fact that he changed the world and gave people something that is far more precious than money… more of their own time.

People are always saying that China owns the United States. Here at Business Insider, we’ve gone over all the ways that that’s not true.

Now a new book goes even farther, it says that the United States owns China. And because of that, the United States will rise up and dominate in the coming decade.

The book is called “The American Phoenix,” and it was written by Hong Kong based economist Diana Choyleva, and Charles Dumas.

Via Bloomberg:

“When you look at the problems facing the world, the bubbles and imbalances, America’s are easier to fix than most,” Choyleva said. “It says a lot about the state of things globally.”

Choyleva and Dumas think about it like this: Foreign investment in China has only created the illusion of wealth. Once investors go away, that money will be gone because most of it actually is wasted by the people and the government. That, combined with inflation and social unrest, means it’s only a matter of time before China defeats itself.

And then there’s the fact that China has bought a lot of U.S. Treasuries. That doesn’t mean that they own America. Quite the contrary. It means that China is subject to the decisions of the Federal Reserve. When Bernanke lowers interest rates, Chinese inflation worsens.

The authors of American Phoenix say that China would’ve been better off just letting the yuan appreciate.

But they won’t, and that means their(sic) on the road to regret — a road that Europe has been on for the past two years.

The United States, though, has top Universities, and a great fertility rate.

The Misguided Foreign Policy Of Paul’s Libertarian Loyalists

As Republican realists question President Obama’s wisdom in pulling U.S. forces out of Iraq by year’s end, one subset of GOP activists is cheering: the followers of candidate for commander-in-chief Ron Paul.

That should concern Americans who, understandably, are fatigued by war but who see their country as a force for global stability, not to mention as an influence for universal freedom.

The Texas congressman, now in his third run at the highest office (once as the Libertarian Party candidate) brings magnetic appeal to a burgeoning electorate worried about the unsupportable and oppressive growth of government, for which both the Bush and Obama administrations bear loads of blame.

A tad cranky perhaps, but Paul comes across as the primary campaign’s vindicated seer, refreshingly impervious to the counsel of pollsters and image-makers. His gadfly candidacy, though the Paulistas will cavil at such a description, has noticeably served to pull the other candidates in a libertarian direction.

That’s a welcome development. I myself have toiled for some four decades in the libertarian vineyards and cheer heartily for his calls for radical retrenchments in the outsized federal government. A GOP standard bearer who offers a tepid imitation of Obama — they don’t call it ObamneyCare for nothing — will neither appeal to voters nor restore the critical free-market system.

But if presumed nominee Mitt Romney and Paul are miles apart on important domestic issues, it’s evident the Massachusetts governor has bought in partially to the libertarian’s neo-isolationism. (I know, Paul offers his cosmopolitan free-trade philosophy to counter the isolationist charge, but he clearly wants to withdraw American armed forces to inside our borders, providing a workable definition of isolationist.)

Romney So Far: No Core Beliefs, Many Flip-Flops

Is there anyone sane left in the GOP establishment? Does plain old common sense and gut instinct no longer matter to those who purport to speak for the party? Have conservative principles and traditional values become nothing more than meaningless rhetoric to those so desperate to hang on to imagined power?

As the Republican establishment lines up like lemmings behind Mitt Romney, it would be illuminating and in fact critical to look at the news for just the last couple of days with regard to this untethered and pliable candidate. A good place to start would be Romney refusing to back Ohio Gov. John Kasich against the public-employee unions’ attempt to roll back the law against union greed.

In a devastating and spot-on critique of Romney with regard to this issue, the conservative Club for Growth said:

“The big problem many conservatives have with Mitt Romney is that he’s taken both sides of nearly every issue important to us. He’s against a flat tax, now he’s for it. He says he’s against ObamaCare, but was for the individual mandate and subsidies that are central to ObamaCare. He thinks that collective bargaining issues should be left for states to decide if he’s in Ohio, but he took the opposite position when he was in New Hampshire. This is just another statement in a long line of statements that will raise more doubts about what kind of President Mitt Romney would be in the minds of many Republican primary voters.”

Ouch.

Next we turn our attention to the far-left New York Times and its recent headlines regarding Mitt Romney: “Lectern Gone, Romney Finds More Success,” said one. Another proclaimed: “Why It’s Good For Romney To Be At 21 Percent.”

Perry backing away from the debates?

Either this is the most awesome primary campaign move in recent memory, or an acknowledgment that we shouldn’t expect to see debates become Rick Perry’s strong suit in the near future. I’m know which way I’m betting:

Rick Perry, who made clear during his Bill O’Reilly interview last night that he finds the debate formats geared toward promoting a fight, is going to the No. 9 one after that – but is a question mark for some of the glut of face-offs after that.

The Wall Street Journal also picked up on this statement:

Rick Perry saw his poll numbers swoon after a series of shaky debate performances in September. Now his campaign says the Texas governor may get a lot more selective, potentially skipping some of the jousting contests between now and when voting for the Republican presidential nomination starts in early January. “We are going to evaluate each debate as it comes and take each one on its own merits,” said Perry spokesman Mark Miner, adding that for now, Mr. Perry is confirmed only for the next GOP debate, set for Michigan Nov. 9th. At least five more debates are now scheduled between the Michigan contest and the Iowa caucuses Jan. 3rd. The campaign argues that with less than 10 weeks to go before the first votes fly, the debates devour too much time for travel and preparation. “The primaries are right [around] the corner and there is simply more to do than there is time to do it,” Mr. Miner said.

Supercommittee Dems push for stimulus to be part of deficit deal

Democrats on the congressional supercommittee this week presented Republicans with a plan to cut the deficit that included billions of dollars in stimulus spending, aides told The Hill.

In a private meeting of the deficit panel Tuesday, Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, presented a proposal backed by a majority of Democrats on the panel that includes more than a trillion dollars in tax increases. The revenue would partially cover stimulus spending for the economy, aides said.

More than 50 percent of the deficit reduction in the plan would come from tax increases, one source said.

The plan from Democrats approaches the $3 trillion in deficit reduction that was included in the “grand bargain” that lawmakers debated over the summer.

If I were a liberal, I would have spent the last week in shock that a Democratic audience in Flint, Mich., cheered Vice President Joe Biden’s description of a policeman being killed. (And if I were a liberal desperately striving to keep my job on MSNBC, I’d say the Democrats looked “hot and horny” for dead cops — as Chris Matthews said of a Republican audience that cheered for the death penalty.)

Biden’s audience whooped and applauded last week in Flint when he said that without Obama’s jobs bill, police will be “outgunned and outmanned.” (Wild applause!)

I suppose liberals would claim they were applauding because they believe Obama’s jobs bill will prevent these murders. Which reminds me: Republicans believe the death penalty prevents murders!

Which belief bears more relationship to reality?

In a case I have previously mentioned, Kenneth McDuff was released from death row soon after the Supreme Court overturned the death penalty in 1972 and went on to murder more than a dozen people.

William Jordan and Anthony Prevatte were sentenced to death in 1974 for abducting a teacher, murdering him and stealing his car. They came under suspicion when they were caught throwing the murder weapon from the stolen vehicle in a high-speed car chase with the cops and because they were in possession of the dead man’s wallet, briefcase and watch.

The Georgia Supreme Court overturned their capital sentences in an opinion by Robert H. Hall, who was appointed by Gov. Jimmy Carter.

Hall said that the death sentences had to be set aside on the idiotic grounds that the jurors had overheard the prosecutor say that the judge and state supreme court would have the opportunity to review a death sentence, which might have caused them to take their sentencing role less seriously.

President Obama has unveiled a new a new slogan in his push to use executive orders to pursue his agenda: “We can’t wait.”

The only problem? The Swedish Socialist Party has been using that exact phrase in their election campaign:

Vi kan inte vänta translates to: “We cannot wait.” Feel free to go to Google Translate if you don’t believe me.

Is President Obama’s phrase taken from them? Well, both are left-wing politicians who are using the same phrase in order to be elected. You be the judge.

Senators Propose Law to Make Fake Maple Syrup a Felony Offense

Senators from maple syrup-producing states are seeking a law to make selling the fake stuff a punishable offense.

Sens. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Susan Collins, R-Maine, proposed legislation Thursday to make selling fraudulent maple syrup a felony. The bill, co-sponsored by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is called the Maple Agriculture Protection and Law Enforcement (MAPLE) Act.

Leahy stated in a press release that he is alarmed at the increasing number of people and businesses claiming to sell Vermont maple syrup but actually selling something “that is not maple syrup at all.”

“This is fraud, plain and simple, and it undermines a key part of Vermont’s economy,” Leahy stated in the release.

Collins, whose state is the third biggest producer of pure maple syrup in the country, stated that fake labeling hurts the agricultural industry and defrauds customers “who have the right to know exactly what they are purchasing.”

DENVER (AP) — Raising money and appealing for votes, President Barack Obama is framing his 2012 re-election campaign as a call to complete unfinished business and as a clear choice between his ideas and those of potential rivals who he says are no different than the congressional Republicans who are thwarting him now.

The message lets Obama highlight accomplishments and lump Republican presidential candidates with unpopular legislators. Time and again Obama reminds his campaign backers that the 2012 election will be more difficult than the last. And, aware that some Democrats are less enthusiastic about him than they were three years ago, he is using every opportunity to enumerate achievements, from health care to financial regulatory changes to the repeal of the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy for gay service members.

Lately, Obama has been telling audiences that he is marking off a list of campaign promises he made in 2008.

“We’re through about 60 percent of it,” he told a group of 100 donors in Denver Tuesday. “Which isn’t bad for three years.”

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are asking questions following a report that Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council member Mohamed Elibiary may have been given access to a sensitive database of state and local intelligence reports, and then allegedly shopped some of those materials to a media outlet. He allegedly used the documents to claim the department was promoting “Islamophobia” — claims that the media outlet ultimately rejected. They declined to do the story.

First, before we look at this bizarre and very troubling story that has already gone viral on the Internet, we need to raise a question that everyone else appears to be ignoring. Since when does the US Department of Education have a SWAT team at their disposal? Official answer: they borrowed it from the Inspector General. Okay. Now, let’s rephrase the question. Since when does the US Department of Education’s Inspector General have a SWAT team at its disposal? The short answer? Since the enactment of the Homeland Security Act of 2002.

President Jimmy Carter and a social progressive Democratic Congress created the Department of Education with Public Law 96-88 on Oct. 17, 1979, and George W. Bush and a Republican Congress armed them in 2002 with an extension of the Patriot Act in what can only be described as the silent creation of the Bully State.

And, finally—why? When the other questions are pondered and answered, one nagging question remains. Since the Office of the Inspector General was specifically created to investigate waste and fraud by individual employees in the federal government, why would the IG for any federal agency need a SWAT team?

Addressing a gathering of the House Democratic Caucus on February 6, 2009, shortly after he and the President were sworn into office, Biden said, “If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there’s a 30% change we’re going to get it wrong.”

A growing majority of Americans has concluded that they got closer to 90% wrong, no matter what they did. The Obama administration is going to go into the history books as one of the worst the nation has ever endured.

Gaddafi son wants to surrender to The Hague – NTC

Former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s son and heir apparent, Saif al-Islam, and ex-intelligence chief Abdullah al-Senussi have reportedly suggested turning themselves in to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

­The news comes from NTC senior Libyan military official Abdel Majid Mlegta, as quoted by Reuters.

Since NTC forces took control of Sirte, Gaddafi’s hometown, the colonel’s son has remained in hiding. He is believed to be somewhere near Libya’s southern border with Niger.

According to the NTC official, Saif al-Islam and Senussi are trying to broker a deal to surrender to the court through a neighboring country. Which country that might be, however, has not been revealed.

Mlegta claimed that they feel unsafe both in Libya and in neighboring Niger and Algeria, where some Gaddafi family members have already found refuge. In any case, he added, they said that Niger was asking for too much money for them to stay.

Saif al-Islam, like his deceased father and Senussi, is wanted for war crimes. The ICC issued arrest warrants for the three of them in June on charges of crimes against humanity, after the matter was referred to the court by the UN Security Council in February. The charges were made in connection with the Libyan regime’s violent crackdown on protesters that month.

As to what is behind Saif al-Islam’s decision, political analyst Samir Awad told RT that it is likely that “he has seen what happens to anyone linked to the Gaddafi regime or his family if they fall into the hands of rebels, who are completely disorganized and who abide by no law.”

The analyst suggested that Gaddafi’s son may have decided that instead of living as a fugitive for the rest of his life, he would rather surrender to The Hague.

Chelsea Clinton Mulls Congressional Run from New York State

Talk of the Sound has learned that Chelsea Clinton may run for Congress next year.

Clinton has been approached by “the right people” in the New York Democratic Party, according to one source in Albany. While no decision has been made, Clinton is said to be “actively considering” a Congressional run from New York State in 2012.

Chelsea Clinton, 31, is the only child of former U.S. President Bill Clinton and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The discussions of running Chelsea Clinton for a house seat grew out of the redistricting plans currently underway in the New York State legislature in Albany.

The plan is to identify an open seat for Clinton in or around New York City where she currently resides with her husband, Marc Mezvinsky. While no specific district has been determined, New York City and Westchester are said to be the focus with New York’s 18th District considered a strong possibility. The 18th encompasses much of Westchester County, just south of where her parents have maintained a home for the past 12 years.

Bill and Hillary Clinton have owned a home in New York’s 19th Congressional District since 1999. The 19th is a swing district that went for Republican Nan Hayworth in 2010. The 18th District on the other hand is solidly Democratic. Barack Obama won the district in 2008 by 62% to 38%, John Kerry won in 2004 by 58% to 42%. Al Gore won the district 58% to 39%.

One senior Democrat, a former elected official in New York, told Talk of the Sound that Democrats involved in the discussions are excited, seeing Chelsea Clinton as an “automatic win” for the Democrats in 2012.

Actor Orlando Jones defends tweet calling for Sarah Palin’s death

Orlando Jones, best known for his stint at comedy show MADtv, recently tweeted for liberals to kill Sarah Palin and defended his statement, saying, “My tweet hit a nerve. That’s good.”

Several days ago, Jones wrote on his Twitter account: “Libyan Rebels kill Gaddafi, if American liberals want respect they better stop listening to Aretha & kill Sarah Palin(:”

He then faced a barrage of criticism on his Twitter feed and via his Facebook account. CNN reports Jones responded to a number of Twitter users, “including one that asked why the actor ‘thinks it’s funny to call for Sarah Palin to be murdered.’ Jones replied to the query, ‘I don’t. I think it’s funny that you are so upset about my inane tweet.’”

Jones, also known for being a 7-Up spokesperson in the late 1990s, defended his tweet, recently writing, “My tweet was farcical not funny or a call to action.”

On his Facebook Page, Jones went further to fully explain his motive behind the inflammatory tweet: “Any anger directed at me and my right to free speech is an absolute waste of time. I am not a statesman. My comments reflect no political affiliation. It’s just me being me, in a world that will never comfortably mix political correctness with artistic expression. For that, I offer no apologies, excuses or wisdom.”

Palin or her representatives haven’t responded to the tweet or its fallout yet. This story will be updated as news comes in.

Army Ranger Dies On 14th Deployment

An Army Ranger who was on his 14th deployment to a combat zone has been killed in Afghanistan.

Sgt. First Class Kristoffer B. Domeij, 29, was killed Saturday when the assault force he was with triggered a hidden roadside bomb in Afghanistan’s Kandahar Province.

Domeij served four deployments in Iraq and another nine stints in Afghanistan. During that time he was awarded two Bronze Stars. His third Bronze Star, earned during his final tour in Afghanistan, will be awarded posthumously, according to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.

Also killed in Saturday’s blast were First Lieutenant Ashley White, 24, a Cultural Support Team member, and fellow Ranger Private First Class Christopher A. Horns, 20, who was on his first combat deployment.

Evan Smith on Bloggingheads.tv says, despite his fall in the polls, Rick Perry will likely best Mitt Romney in the contest for the GOP nomination.

Smith says Romney’s support is “wide and shallow” while Perry’s support is “narrow and deep,” and he categorizes this election as a “narrow and deep” election.

He also says that, other than Jon Huntsman, there is no other candidate left in race whom, upon dropping out, would endorse Romney. He adds that the supporters of the other candidates would also not gravitate to Romney.

Former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter gets up to 5½ years in prison

The former U.N. weapons inspector convicted in an online sex sting has been sentenced to 1½ to 5½ years in state prison.

Following his sentencing in Monroe County Court on Wednesday afternoon, Scott Ritter was led out in handcuffs and sent to Monroe County Correctional Facility, where he will remain until it is determined which state prison he will serve his sentence at.

The company behind a Department of Homeland Security-funded project to install street lights that double as sophisticated surveillance devices pulled its promo video for ‘Intellistreets’ from You Tube hours after our article drawing attention to the issue was linked on the popular Drudge Report website.

Having initially disabled comments on the You Tube clip, Illuminating Concepts yanked the video entirely this afternoon, presumably nervous about the negative publicity that could be generated from concerns about new high-tech street lights being used for “Homeland Security” purposes – their words, not ours.

However, having gone to the trouble of putting together a promotional video for their product, and having already started installing the system in the city of Farmington Hills, Michigan with the aid of federal funding, the fact that the company attempted to prevent people learning about the “Homeland Security” applications for the street lights speaks volumes.

If ‘Intellistreets’ is such a cutting edge concept that presents an array of wonderful benefits, as the promo video claims, then why remove it from You Tube? It’s almost like a kid getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Now that the company has tried to hide the video, it will only generate more suspicion about the true purpose behind ‘Intellistreets’ and the level of involvement on behalf of Homeland Security.

As we documented earlier today, ‘Intellistreets’ is even more frightening a concept than the DHS-funded surveillance cameras that have blanketed America. Not only does this system have video surveillance capabilities, it also includes audio sensors and speaker systems that will be used by authorities to “promote civic awareness,” presumably in the same vein as Homeland Security’s telescreens in Wal-Mart stores that feature a message from Janet Napolitano encouraging Americans to spy on each other and report suspicious activity.

Using street lights as Minority Report-style broadcasting platforms for advertising and government propaganda also dovetails with the Obama administration’s agenda to have complete control over communications by means of the Emergency Alert System and the program to have all new cell phones display mandatory “emergency” messages from the federal government by next year.

HOW AND WHY DID THE MEANING OF THE 14TH AMENDMENT CHANGE?

Rep. John A. Bingham represented the 16th District of Ohio and was the principal framer of the Fourteenth Amendment following the Civil War

(Oct. 26, 2011) — Many people leave out very important wording in the 14 Amendment, which states:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States [[AND SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF ]], are citizens of the United States…

Per the U.S. Constitution, anyone born in the U.S. and NOT SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF are definitely NOT U.S. citizens.

Just because one is born on U.S. soil does not make him a U.S. citizen. No court can overrule the U.S. Constitution which they are supposed to defend and protect. Perversion of the law is not law.

LAW OF THE LAND, WE ARE A REPUBLIC.
