Next weekend college football stadiums will be filled. Sunday, NFL stadiums will be filled. Mega millionaires like Pelosi, Barry Soetoro and John Kerry will relax in their mansions. Cowardly Republicans who could have ended those grotesque invasions while they held both houses of Congress under Bush might give the headlines a glance while they attend glad handing political functions. Out of sight, out of mind. For the families, the pain will never go away and two young men, ages 23 & 26, are dead. Won’t be ‘coming home’ – ever.

The Senate has cleared the way for a final vote tomorrow on the National Defense Authorization Act, a provision of which would empower the U.S. military to operate on American soil, arrest American citizens and cart them off to detention centers anywhere in the world.

The Soap Opera that came to stay in the 2012 presidential campaign
With Entertainment now masquerading as News, it didn’t take long for the Soap Opera to come to stay in the American presidential race.
“Celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, in an appearance on Piers Morgan’s CNN show tonight, said that Herman Cain has claimed five different women are lying about him – including her client Sharon Bialek – and said it goes to issues of “character.” (Politico, Nov. 28, 2011).
You can make that “character assassination,” Gloria.
If anything, the assassination of the character of Herman Cain proves is that you can make a silk purse out of any old sow’s ear, especially if the silk purse is dropped off to the team work of astroturf meister David Axelrod and a still giddy from a killing off-Sarah mainstream media.

Obama Ballot Challenge Director Pamela Barnett briefly spoke with Dr. Orly Taitz, Esq. after Taitz’s hearing to decide whether or not the court will let her see any original records that may be on file in Hawaii for Barack Obama. Eligibility activist Miki Booth and some Tea Party supporter were able to attend the hearing. In short, the judge continued the hearing because a clerk of the court refused a Fedex package from Orly Taitz to the court and did not file other documents with the docket that were submitted. Essentially there is illegal sabotage being committed by clerks and possible others within the Hawaii court. In a complete act of tyranny the Hawaii Deputy Attorney General argued to have the press cameras turned off and not be allowed to film the proceedings.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A soldier and his wife stopped a robbery on Tuesday night when the soldier pulled a gun on the assailants and fired, police said.
The husband and wife had just been transferred from Fort Hood to Colorado Springs. They were taking a walk in their new neighborhood at 10 p.m. when they were approached by two masked assailants, police said.
When the assailants ordered the soldier and his wife to the ground, the soldier told police he pulled out his handgun.
The soldier told police the men started to run off, but when one of them turned around and appeared to pull out a gun, the soldier said he fired one shot in their direction.

This is a critical step over the ‘stuck on stupid’ line to the traitorous and treasonous line by our Senate this week. They voted for our Military to detain American citizens as long as they want to, without charges, representation or trial……just because they are suspected of being a terrorist. Americans could be gathered up and placed at GITMO for a ‘mystery’ terrorist reason decided by the military front and directed by Obama or any other power hungry President. It is all kosher and approved by the Senate and President now. Naturally, Obama is threatening a veto, of course that hits the airwaves to soften this traitorous ruling against the American people.
This betrayal by the Senate only gives a US citizen just one hearing by the military where they can then be locked up for life without charge. How is that anything like America, our Constitution or freedom as we know it?
If a person is a real suspect or potential terrorist, authorities need to have some evidence, probable cause and then charges, not just a vague accusation, one hearing then throw them into a dungeon and toss the key into the ocean.
Perhaps, the way we are going we should study the Government structure of former Communist Russia and see if we might find some improvements for our collapsing system. If not that, maybe we should all form some ‘American Camp’ unions so we could have representation as to how our internment rooms might look at the various camps we are assigned to. Can we wear certain colors in our uniforms, have special meals and visit our dogs on the weekends? Can I have bug spray for my bunk…assuming I have one?(continued)

There is a plot to destroy Herman Cain–we see it in the money hungry women vying for 15 minutes of fame and fortune and we see it in the liberal media’s assassination of Herman Cain.
The saddest thing is that America is being sucker-punched by the liberal media. Most of them are so deep in Obama’s trench that there are no limits to how low they will go. They knew that all they had to do was plant a seed… even if it’s a seed pod filled with lies — they knew they’d be successful in placing doubt in the minds of Cain supporters.

RUSH: I haven’t shared with you my thoughts on this Herman Cain situation, the latest. (sigh) Well, this is a frustrating thing. In fact the entire circus that is now… Well, it’s now becoming a circus. This whole Republican race, it doesn’t matter where you go — I don’t care what website you go to, I don’t care what network you tune in — all we’re hearing is all the shortcomings of all of these people. I don’t care if it’s Herman Cain or Bachmann or Romney or Newt, all we’re hearing is their shortcomings. The headlines are, you know, “Newt’s health problems! Romney’s foot flops.” For crying out loud, what are we looking for, perfection?
On the other side what are we dealing with? Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers and all this stuff that never got vetted and is not gonna get vetted now? Yet even as I look at websites, networks, places I would consider to be on our team are nitpicking all this stuff? It’s a little maddening because there’s no such thing as perfect. The Founders were not perfect. The whole Constitution was created on the basis that human beings are fallible. The Constitution’s premise is that human beings with too much power will abuse it and imprison and tyrannize people. The whole point of it was based on the imperfection of people, and yet here we are apparently looking for the perfect — and I’m not running, so it’s not gonna be findable…..

For most people, an extended stay aboard a luxury cruise liner sounds like a dream vacation.
But Valeska Paris says she was held against her will aboard the Scientology cruise ship “Freewinds” for more than a decade. During her stay on the vessel, she alleges, she was forced into hard labor and never allowed to leave the ship without an escort.
In an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC News) Lateline program, Paris claims that Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige sent her to the ship when she was 18 in order to prevent her family from pulling her out of the organization.
“I was basically hauled in and told that my mum had attacked the church and that I needed to disconnect from her because she was suppressive,” she said. “He decided the ship, and I found out two hours before my plane left, I was woken up in the morning and I was sent to the ship for ‘two weeks.’ “
Paris was born into a Scientology family, but her mother quit the group after her husband committed suicide, blaming Scientology for coercing him out of a self-made personal fortune of more than a million dollars.
Instead of the promised two week stay, Paris found herself unable to leave the ship without an official Scientology escort and was often forced into hard labor on the lower levels of the ship for stretches as long as two full days. “It’s hot, it’s extremely loud, it’s smelly, it’s not nice. I was sent down there at first for 48 hours straight on almost no sleep and I had to work by myself,” she said.
So, why didn’t Paris simply escape from the ship when it would take port? The Freewinds has a relatively small sailing route…

. . . from a couple of months ago somehow escaped my notice (and perhaps not coincidentally,Jennifer Rubin’s) until today. It’s the highest, most unreserved praise for a politician I’ve ever read from the formidable mind of Ferguson in which he extols Rick Perry’s accomplishments in reforming the Texas higher education system. No other candidate in the field comes close to being as effective in taking on an entrenched establishment in the interest of taxpayers.
Perry’s admirers praise his sure-footedness—his ability to sense cultural trends before others do and turn them to his political advantage. He was the first national politician to ally himself to the Tea Party movement in 2009, a move that’s just now paying off. He caught the mounting anxiety among middle-income parents about college costs early on. Most American parents now say that a college degree will be essential for their children’s future success; at the same time, according to a new Pew Foundation poll, only 22 percent of Americans believe that most people can afford to send their kids to college.
Bobby Kennedy Assassin Still Claims He Was ‘Victim of Mind Control and His Gun Didn’t Fire Fatal Shot’ in New Appeal After Parole Is Denied by Beth Stebner
Sirhan’s lawyers, William Pepper and Laurie Dusek, are using a defence that is eerily familiar to another Kennedy murder – that there was more than one shooter.
They say the 67-year-old Christian Palestinian born in Jerusalem was hypno-programmed to divert attention from a shooter who actually killed Mr Kennedy in 1968. They also allege he was an easy scapegoat because he is Arab.
The attorneys cite an expert analysis of ‘new evidence’ that shows two guns were fired on the night Mr Kennedy was assassinated in the former Ambassador Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
According to court papers, Sirhan has stronger eyewitness evidence, along with ‘scientific, forensic evidence which cannot be credibly refuted’ that was not available during his 1969 trial.

The same Senate which today passed a bill allowing indefinite detention of American citizens on American soil for suspicion of being terrorists is now considering a bill to repeal the prohibitions against torture:
The ACLU and over 30 other organizations sent a letter to the Senate asking them to oppose an effort in Congress that threatens to revive the use of torture and other inhumane interrogation techniques. If passed, an amendment introduced by Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) to the Defense Authorization bill would roll back torture prevention measures that Congress overwhelmingly approved in the 2005 McCain Anti-Torture Amendment, as well as a 2009 Executive Order on ensuring lawful interrogations. It would also require the administration to create a secret list of approved interrogation techniques in a classified annex to the existing interrogation field manual.

All the world’s central banks have just announced a big coordinated intervention to lower swap rates.
What does that mean?
Basically this: European banks have been parched for liquidity, and need access to dollars. The ECB can’t supply them dollars unless it borrows them from the Fed.
Essentially today’s action makes it easier for the ECB and thus European banks to borrow dollars.
It’s not a solution to the euro crisis by any means; it just means that the most acute liquidity problems will be mitigated for now.
The market is loving the news.
US markets had been down by 0.5% at one point this morning, but now futures are pointing to a 3% gain. Dow futures are up 2.83%.

Prison Planet.com » Justice Department Seeks To Have Anthrax Attack Documents Destroyed
The federal government has agreed to pay $2.5 million to the widow and children of the first person killed in the anthrax letter attacks of 2001, settling a lawsuit claiming that the Army did not adequately secure its supply of the deadly pathogen.
The settlement with the family of Robert Stevens, a tabloid photo editor in Florida, follows an eight-year legal battle that exposed slack rules and sloppy recordkeeping at the Army’s biodefense laboratory at Fort Detrick, in Frederick, Md. As part of the agreement, Justice Department lawyers are seeking to have many documents that were uncovered in the litigation kept under court seal or destroyed.
Mr. Stevens’s widow, Maureen, filed suit against the government in 2003, as evidence accumulated that the anthrax powder in the lethal letters had come from an Army laboratory. The F.B.I. finally concluded in 2008 that the letters were sent by Bruce E. Ivins, a microbiologist who worked on anthrax vaccines at the Army lab in Maryland, though some of his colleagues and friends have maintained that he was innocent.

Senator Rand Paul told Judge Andrew Napolitano last night that Americans could be stripped of their rights and sent to Guantanamo Bay under the terms of the ‘indefinite detention’ provision of the National Defense Authorization Act set to be passed by the Senate this week.
Appearing on Napolitano’s Fox Business show, Paul said it perplexed him “how anyone could vote to send an American citizen who’s been accused of a crime to a detention center in a foreign land without due process”.
Paul has offered an amendment to the NDAA bill that would completely strip Section 1031 from the legislation, although it’s unlikely to pass following yesterday’s rejection of Senator Mark Udall’s weaker amendment that would have merely provided more oversight.
The Senator said that he had spoken with other Republicans who had pointed out the numerous instances where the Constitution specifically mentions the right to a speedy trial, habeas corpus and legal due process, all of which would be completely eviscerated with the passage of the ‘indefinite detention’ provision of the National Defense Authorization Act.

James Madison, father of the Constitution, warned, “The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become instruments of tyranny at home.”
Abraham Lincoln had similar thoughts, saying “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter, and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”
During war there has always been a struggle to preserve Constitutional liberties. During the Civil War the right of habeas corpus was suspended. Newspapers were closed down. Fortunately, these rights were restored after the war.
The discussion now to suspend certain rights to due process is especially worrisome given that we are engaged in a war that appears to have no end. Rights given up now cannot be expected to be returned. So, we do well to contemplate the diminishment of due process, knowing that the rights we lose now may never be restored.
My well-intentioned colleagues ignore these admonitions in defending provisions of the Defense bill pertaining to detaining suspected terrorists.
Their legislation would arm the military with the authority to detain indefinitely – without due process or trial – SUSPECTED al-Qaida sympathizers, including American citizens apprehended on American soil.
I want to repeat that. We are talking about people who are merely SUSPECTED of a crime. And we are talking about American citizens.
If these provisions pass, we could see American citizens being sent to Guantanamo Bay.
This should be alarming to everyone watching this proceeding today. Because it…..

Many people have the misconception that sanctions are an effective means to encourage a change of behavior in another country without war. However, imposing sanctions and blockades are not only an act of war according to international law, they are most often the first step toward a real war starting with a bombing campaign. Sanctions were the first step in our wars against Iraq and Libya, and now more sanctions planned against Syria and Iran are leading down the same destructive path.

From the breaking news, one might think that with a woman who claims she had a 13-year affair with presidential candidate Herman Cain, someone is being seriously exposed as a hypocrite. That would be the press. The media can’t deny they continue to display a lousy double standard. For Republican candidates, scandalous news is instant. For Democrats, it’s eventual, if at all!
Ginger White‘s charges sound a lot like Gennifer Flowers in 1992, when she said she had a 12-year affair with Bill Clinton. So many in the press pounce on Flowers as unequivocal evidence of the media’s sense of balance. After all, they will remind us, just look how we covered that scandal!
Yes, look. It’s a wonderful exercise in media disinformation. Political junkies will recall that Flowers held a press conference carried live on CNN on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 23, 1992. It had all the elements for snappy news. She played audiotapes of phone conversations with Clinton. Despite all this, the first network mention was a short story by NBCs Lisa Myers, more than 24 hours later. Other than that, the three broadcast network morning and evening newscasts waited to breathe the name “Flowers” for four days…..

They call me America’s Toughest Sheriff. I don’t tolerate illegal activity. I don’t coddle criminals. And I refuse to sit idly by while Washington turns a blind eye towards illegal immigration and border security.
As Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, I know that our porous southern border puts all of America at risk. It’s time we had a president who knew that, too.
That’s why I support Rick Perry for president, and I hope you will join me.
Unlike other candidates, Rick Perry has never been the choice of
the political establishment, never been a paid lobbyist and never served in Congress or an Administration. He is the true outsider… the right man to bring desperately needed change to Washington.
No candidate has done more to secure the border than Rick Perry. As governor, he directed nearly $400 million in state tax dollars to secure the border with more boots on the ground.
As president, Rick Perry will stop illegal immigration and drug smugglers with a massive increase in manpower, including National Guard troops and thousands of new Border Patrol agents.
He will deploy new technology like predator drones, order federal officials to build more strategic fencing and end the dangerous Obama catch-and-release policy that allows thousands of illegal aliens to be released on American streets.
With Rick Perry as president, we can secure the border in just one year.
