Rick Perry’s presidential campaign is out with a new ad, “Lazy,” attacking President Obama for his comment that Americans have “been a little bit lazy I think over the last couple of decades.”
After video of the president making that comment is shown in the ad, Perry, standing outside in a casual shirt, addresses the camera. “Can you believe that?” he says. “That’s what our President thinks wrong with America? [sic] That Americans are lazy? That’s pathetic.” (Perry appears to have omitted an “is” from his comments.)
Perry goes on to say “it’s time to clean house in Washington,” an argument that squares with his recent call to overhaul all three branches of government, a proposal that includes making being a member of Congress a part-time job.
“It’s time for a Balanced Budget Amendment that forces Washington to stop overspending,” Perry goes on to say. “If Congress balks, cut their pay and send them home.”

Congress, in violation of Article I, Section 1 of the U. S. Constitution. It operates under the jurisdiction of the Executive Branch, and the Executive Branch under Obama has been directing the EPA to do his dictatorial environmental bidding. Obama talks about providing jobs and then directs the EPA to promulgate rules that KILL jobs. As usual, he “talketh” out of both sides of his mouth. Obama and the EPA need to be dissolved.

Days before the doomed financial broker filed for bankruptcy, MF Global conducted “unexplained wire transfers” that led to a $900 million shortfall in client funds, leading customers like Gerald Celente to learn that their accounts had been looted and setting the precedent for internal bank runs as more big firms go bust.

According to Bloomberg, “Examiners from CME Group Inc., the world’s largest futures exchange, found unexplained wire transfers at MF Global Inc. and a $900 million shortfall in client funds during the weekend the failing broker was talking with possible buyers, a person briefed on the matter said.”
CME noticed the missing funds on October 30, but MF Global didn’t inform the Commodity Futures Trading Commission until the day after, suggesting that the transfers were made, “in a manner that may have been designed to avoid detection,” according to CME.
The suspicious cash movements are now being probed by the U.S. Justice Department.

It’s so problematic, in fact, that the Obama administration is now brazenly trying to rewrite the law without involving Congress.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act offers “premium assistance”—tax credits and subsidies—to households purchasing coverage through new health-insurance exchanges. This assistance was designed to hide a portion of the law’s cost to individuals by reducing the premium hikes that individuals will face after ObamaCare goes into effect in 2014. (If consumers face the law’s full cost, support for repeal will grow.)

The Supreme Court’s decision to take up the challenges to Obamacare is certainly good news for the law’s opponents. At the very least, a decision next year would put Obamacare front and center in the heart of election season when the Democrats would like nothing better than to pretend that Obama’s first two years did not exist. At most, it could also dramatically weaken and undercut the statute itself, helping to clear the way for its repeal.
But opponents of Obamacare should be careful not to let their focus be drawn away to the legal arena—as if the question at the core of the debate is whether the individual mandate is constitutional. That is an important secondary question, but it is not where the future of our health-care system will be decided.

NEW YORK (AP) — Oil prices have hit $100 per barrel for the first time in nearly four months.
The price of benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude rose as high as $100.79 in electronic trading on Wednesday. Oil prices have been soaring for several weeks as the economy improves while tensions rise in countries that hold some of the world’s major sources of crude.
Benchmark crude has surged 26 percent since the end of September. It crossed the $100 mark after the Labor Department reported that consumers paid less for gas, cars and computers. As inflation slows, it increases pressure on the Federal Reserve to do more to further stimulate the economy.

Gun owners who have historically been able to use public lands for target practice would be barred from potentially millions of acres under new rules drafted by the Interior Department, the first major move by the Obama administration to impose limits on firearms.
Officials say the administration is concerned about the potential clash between gun owners and encroaching urban populations who like to use same land for hiking and dog walking.
“It’s not so much a safety issue. It’s a social conflict issue,” said Frank Jenks, a natural resource specialist with Interior’s Bureau of Land Management, which oversees 245 million acres. He adds that urbanites “freak out” when they hear shooting on public lands. [Read about the subpoena issued as a result of Operation Fast and Furious.]
If the draft policy is finally approved, some public access to Bureau lands to hunters would also be limited, potentially reducing areas deer, elk, and bear hunters can use in the West.

A YouTube video shot during the November 9 student rally in London allegedly shows plainclothes police acting as agents provocateurs among the protesting crowds.
The video uploaded by the user “noshockdoc” shows two people who first engage in rough handling of one of the rally protesters. Then, reportedly, the same people are shown along with six others detaining someone behind a police cordon.
The media dubbed the November 9 march against tuition fees and education cuts one of the most intensively-policed events to take place in London. The force had 4,000 officers on duty on the day, and they were authorized to use rubber bullets if necessary. This was never needed, however. The Met reported that 24 arrests were made on the day.

The Secret Service says a bullet hit an exterior window of the White House and was stopped by ballistic glass according to the Associated press.
An additional round of ammunition was also found on the exterior of the White House. The bullets were found Tuesday evening.
The discovery follows reports of gunfire near the White House on Friday. Witnesses heard shots and saw two speeding vehicles in the area. An AK-47 rifle was also recovered.
