WASHINGTON – The prospect that countries such as China and Iran soon will have submarines trolling in waters in the Gulf of Mexico and up and down the East and West coasts of the United States is resurrecting concern over the security of oil and natural gas pipeline platforms in those areas, according to a report from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

Also, drug cartels have begun to use submarines to carry their cargo into the United States. Given the cartels’ flourishing relationships with terrorists with various goals, the subs could be used to destroy important platforms, according to Andrew Krepinevich, president of the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments.

New Hampshire board decides Obama eligibility

A state board in New Hampshire has decided that Barack Obama’s name is good to go on the state’s 2012 presidential ballot because the application was filled out properly and the $1,000 fee was paid, according to an attorney who challenged his candidacy because of suspicions of fraud.

The determination came today from the state’s Ballot Law Commission, which heard arguments from attorney Orly Taitz, who had filed a complaint about Obama’s candidacy that was joined by several state lawmakers.

During a news conference for the 19th annual Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation leader’s summit on Sunday, the president gave birthers the answer they have been waiting for, that Obama was not born in America. The media seemingly focused on the “magic beans” statement Obama made during the speech but completely glossed over the part where the president said of his birth state of Hawaii, “Here in Asia.” If Hawaii is in Asia, then the president was not born in the U.S. You win, birthers.

There is extensive evidence from physics for a beginning and fine-tuning of the universe. When the complementary nature of these insights is seen, it provides compelling evidence for a transcendent, intelligent Creator.

Cosmic Origins features eight world-class physicists talking about modern physics and God. They include Nobel Laureate Arno Penzias (who discovered the background radiation from the Big Bang); Templeton Prize winners John Polkinghorne (Cambridge) and Michael Heller (Vatican Observatory); Owen Gingerich (Harvard); Lisa Randall (Harvard); Jennifer Wiseman (NASA); and narrated by Stephen Barr (University of Delaware).

Yeti ‘Nests’ Found in Russia?

Live Science ^ | November 18, 2011 | Benjamin Radford

Posted on Friday, November 18, 2011 9:30:49 PM by decimon

Bigfoot researcher and biologist John Bindernagel claims his research group has found evidence that the Yeti (a Russian “cousin” of the American Bigfoot) not only exists, but builds nests and shelters by twisting tree branches together.

“We didn’t feel like the trees we saw in Siberia had been done by a man or another mammal…. Twisted trees like this have also been observed in North America and they could fit with the theory that Bigfoot makes nests. The nests we have looked at are built around trees twisted together into an arch shape,” Bindernagel told the British tabloid The Sun.

Bindernagel was part of a small group of scientists who visited western Siberia to examine evidence of the Yeti in October. That group made headlines around the world for issuing a statement that they had “indisputable proof” of the Yeti and were 95 percent sure it existed based on the evidence – a few strands of hair – they found.

Tree twisting, also called splintering, has been claimed as Bigfoot evidence for decades throughout the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere. In some cases tool markings have been found on trees said to have been twisted by Bigfoot. This suggests that the creatures are even possibly more intelligent than previously suspected and may be able to somehow locate and use pliers, monkey wrenches, and other common hardware tools. However, for now I’ll just lay out my impression of the gathering and thoughts about its message, then let the photographs speak for themselves.

After Barack Obama announced his candidacy for the presidency, the vetting of the candidate began in earnest, at least on the conservative and libertarian side of the aisle. In contrast, the left-wing, democrat-controlled media was in the tank for Obama from the get-go. His supporters put on their rose-colored glasses, gave up any semblance of journalistic curiosity, and elevated the man to God-like status. In their minds, criticizing or questioning anything about Obama was, and still is, the equivalent of criticizing or questioning Mohammad. At least for now, Obama’s supporters aren’t yet calling for the execution of his opponents.

Ron Paul with Sean Hannity discussing the economy and the election. Paul talks about the lack of attention he receives, if he is not ignored altogether. Paul says he and his staff were “annoyed” by the fact that he only received 89 seconds to speak at the last Republican debate.

Paul warned his Republican colleagues in the Congress that they better keep their pledge to not raise taxes. He says if they do “capitulate” on taxes then people will make them pay.

“I have no intention of doing that,” Paul says of a third-party run if he doesn’t get the Republican nomination. However, when asked several times by Hannity to rule out an independent bid, he would not.

Congratulations, average American! It’s your turn to be blamed for President Obama’s — and America’s — problems.

This is the biggest honor you’ve won since Time magazine named “you” the Person of the Year.

Being the root cause of our dire national predicament puts you in some very august company indeed. You are joining the ranks of George W. Bush, the Japanese tsunami, the Arab Spring, Wall Street fat cats, and other luminaries, both living and merely anthropomorphized.

None of us can pretend to know what motivates Sarah Palin to do what she does. Sure, there’s money. And attention. And more money and attention. But today’s Palin op-ed goes in a different direction. Palin moves away from the pure cultural populism that has defined her since her run for the vice presidency and back toward the reformist populism that characterized her time as governor of Alaska. She turns her resentment away from cultural elites and focuses it on political elites of both parties, arguing – sensibly! – that being elected to Congress admits one to a veritable merry-go-round of special interest wealth and influence-peddling. She proposes reforms and even gives a shout-out to both the tea party and Occupy Wall Street movements:

“No more sweetheart land deals with campaign contributors. No gifts of IPO shares. No trading of stocks related to committee assignments. No earmarks where the congressman receives a direct benefit. No accepting campaign contributions while Congress is in session. No lobbyists as family members, and no transitioning into a lobbying career after leaving office. No more revolving door, ever.

Apparently editorial board editors from Wisconsin to New Hampshire are getting a bit too unruly for Herman Cain… This doesn’t seem like the wisest use of taxpayer dollars. Then again, after that disastrous Libya interview he did in Wisconsin the other day, you can appreciate why Herman Cain wants protection from the media.”

I would be outraged but I expect such hateful drivel from Daily Kos.

One of the enduring questions about Occupy Wall Street has been this: Can the energy unleashed by the movement be leveraged behind a concrete political agenda and push for change that will constitute a meaningful challenge to the inequality and excessive Wall Street influence highlighted by the protests?

A coalition of labor and progressive groups is about to unveil its answer to that question. Get ready for “Occupy Congress.”

The coalition — which includes unions like SEIU and CWA and groups like the Center for Community Change — is currently working on a plan to bus thousands of protesters from across the country to Washington, where they will congregate around the Capitol from December 5-9, SEIU president Mary Kay Henry tells me in an interview.

If the Barack Obama campaign has somehow gotten their hands on your email address, then you should expect to be mercilessly spammed by email after email. Normally, the campaign’s messages are desperate-sounding money grabs or denouncements of Republicans. Today, however, they sent out a new spam email like no other before. It was entitled, “Sign Joe’s Card.”

Yes, like a parent who goes around school with a card for an unpopular kid, the Obama campaign is asking random people to sign an online birthday card in order to make ol’ Joe feel like a special little guy. The email is supposedly from Jill Biden, Mr. Biden’s wife, and begins:

I know I don’t usually send you emails, but Joe has a birthday coming up this Sunday, and I’m trying something new.

The First Family and I are putting together a special card for him, and we’d like as many supporters of this campaign as possible to add their names and messages for Joe.

“We are three years into Barack Obama’s war on prosperity and I think Americans are coming to grips with the upside, if not the necessity, of limited government.”

“What is so arduous about traveling once a week? Major League Baseball teams are traveling constantly. NBA teams are traveling constantly. They are leaving after night games at two o’clock in the morning. They are arriving where they’re going at five in the morning and playing sometimes an afternoon game that day, certainly a night game that night.”

“Market capitalism is the answer. Robust liberty and freedom for the American people is the answer, and then a government willing, after unleashing that, to get out of its way is the answer.”

Hmmmmmm….November 17th??? Why November 17th???

Of all days, why would a leftist organization pick November 17th to stage a mass protest??

The CFR reminds us of the significance of that date:

What is November 17?

A radical, leftist Greek terrorist group, also known as 17 N or N 17, with a tiny membership and a loathing for America, the West, and capitalism…

What sort of attacks has November 17 launched?

The organization’s first known attack came in December 1975, when the CIA’s Athens station chief was shot with a .45-caliber pistol, November 17’s favorite weapon. Since then, the group has claimed responsibility for twenty-one murders, including the killings of a U.S. Navy captain, a U.S. defense attaché, a Turkish diplomat, and a British defense attaché. November 17’s initial attacks were directed at senior U.S. officials and Greek public figures, but during the 1980s the group expanded its operations to include bombings of ordinary citizens and property.

Neither by ideological colleagues Congressman Bob Stump (R-AZ) and former Senator Steve Symms (R-ID), nor from any quarter of the State Department: the assassination on September 1, 1983, of a United States Congressman aboard a passenger airliner at the hands of Soviet fighter jets. A southern Democrat lawmaker, who was also jointly Chairman of the John Birch Society and President of Western Goals Foundation, both famously anti-Globalist/anti-communist organizations, and who had announced to his advisors in the weeks prior to his death that he would be seeking the Presidency of the United States–as a conservative Democrat–in 1988. A cousin of WWII hero General George S. Patton, and who had inherited Patton’s mountain of anti-Soviet Intelligence records; who had organized a private Intelligence network which threatened to rival that of the CIA–at once commanding, polished on-the-stump and movie-star handsome: …the kind of man who could seriously derail the Presidential aspirations of George Herbert Walker Bush, the elder.

In a letter, the Chief wrote that McCain’s acceptance of proposals to examine the current retirement system along with military pay, allowances and their tax implications, plus to suggest excluding military retirees from TRICARE Prime, implies that his unwavering support of the military exists only as long as you are wearing the uniform. “Troops are of one voice against cutting their pay and benefits,” wrote DeNoyer. “That is why we are so adamantly against any proposal that would have those who sacrifice the most to sacrifice even more.”

In addition to these impeachable crimes, President Obama is clinically insane, and should be immediately removed from office under Section IV of the 25th Amendment, which provides for the orderly removal of a President who is physically or mentally unfit to continue to serve.

If a few people in positions of authority step up to the plate and demand action along these lines, this will already weaken Obama and greatly reduce the immediate danger of world war. This is the true measure of patriotism today.

(Excerpt) The Revolt of the Generals Against Iran War

“To be clear: everyone can agree that Iran is a serious problem. The development of Iranian missile technology is credible enough that NATO is (smartly) working with Russia to develop a defensive missile shield. And the most recent report from the International Atomic Energy Agency on Iran’s nuclear program should rally the international community to apply even more pressure.”

The General concluded with a warning to the Presidential candidates: “America ought not consider another war in the Middle East without a very serious discussion of the consequences. Political candidates should curb their jingoistic, chauvinistic emotions and temper their world view with a little reflective, rational thought.”

In addition to the exclusive EIR interview with former CENTCOM commander, Gen. Joseph P. Hoar (USMC-ret.), other military voices are being raised against the danger of general war, posed by the threat of an Israeli or U.S. attack on Iran.

On Nov. 14, General John H. Johns, a retired Army officer who is a signator on the Human Rights First letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid warning against the police-state measures in the new defense bill, wrote an op-ed published in the New York Times, titled “Before We Bomb Iran, Let’s Have a Serious Conversation.” In the article, General Johns cites former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, retired Marine General Anthony Zinni, another former CENTCOM commander, and former Congressman, Admiral Joe Sestak, all warning about the “unintended consequences” of any attack on Iran.

Bob Goodlatte is the super regulator that authored the SOPA bill. It authorizes the Attorney General to remove rogue websites from search engines and prevent ISPs from delivering them. All it takes is a third party to say that such-and-such website is stealing my content. They don’t even have to warn you.

Here’s Kwiatkowski’s article about it on her website:

Unfortunately, nothing in this bill, and the associated SOPA, promotes prosperity, creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Representative Zoe Lofgren‘s (CA-16) reaction to the bill was, “this would mean the end of the Internet as we know it.”

WASHINGTON — The media horde that has hounded Herman Cain was not the reason the U.S. Secret Service gave him a security detail, a federal official said Friday.

Media coverage or the number of media covering is not a factor in the decision of whether or not a candidate needs USSS protection,” a Department of Homeland Security official told the Daily News.

The GOP presidential hopeful — who has been a walking headline in recent weeks due largely to claims he sexually harassed at least four women — has reportedly faced racially-fueled threats, The Associated Press reported.

But a second federal official as well as a U.S. Secret Service spokesman declined to comment when asked by The News if security threats led to the decision.

The Pipeline Sellout

Obama puts politics over nation, again.

In 2008, the slogan was “Yes We Can.” For 2011–12, it’s “We Can’t Wait.” What happened in between? Candidate Obama, the vessel into which myriad dreams were poured, met the reality of governance.

His near–$1 trillion stimulus begat a stagnant economy with 9 percent unemployment. His attempt at Wall Street reform left in place a still too-big-to-fail financial system as vulnerable today as when he came into office. His green-energy fantasies yielded Solyndra cronyism and a cap-and-trade regime not even a Democratic Congress would pass.

And now his signature achievement, Obamacare, is headed to the Supreme Court, where it could very well be struck down, just a week after its central element was overwhelmingly repudiated (2–1) by the good burghers of Ohio.

So what do you do when you say you can, but, it turns out, you can’t? Blame the other guy. Charge the Republicans with making governing impossible. Never mind that you had control of the Congress for two-thirds of your current tenure. It’s all the fault of Republican rejectionism.

NEW YORK—Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry says President Barack Obama and his administration are responsible for policies that have endangered agents patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Texas governor made his remarks while picking up an award from the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation.

Perry said lack of funding and “bureaucratic bungling” in Washington have made the border less safe.

He singled out one program in particular, Operation Fast and Furious. The arms-trafficking probe run by the Justice Department allowed AK-47s and other weapons to leak into the black market.

Accused White House shooter Oscar Ortega Hernández recorded a TV pitch to Oprah Winfrey two months ago in which he declared himself to be “the modern day Jesus Christ.”

Who is Oscar Ortega Hernández?

The 21-year-old asked an Idaho State University student to tape the segment. His girlfriend handed the tape over to the Secret Service on Tuesday.

“You see Oprah, there is still so much more that God needs me to express to the world. It’s not just a coincidence that I look like Jesus. I am the modern day Jesus Christ that you all have been waiting for,” he said.

SEIU Endorses Obama Re-Election

November 18, 2011 2 comments

As I read the memorandum in front of me, I am amazed how blind Americans are, how naïve, ignorant, credulous, and unable to discern fact from fiction, reality from fantasy. How much more proof do they need before they realize our country is on the path of purposeful destruction?

Service Employees International Union (SEIU), with its 2.1 million dues paying members had announced on November 16, 2011, “with great pride and a sense of purpose,” that they were endorsing President Barack Obama for re-election.

“President Obama is the only candidate for president who shares our vision of America as a land of opportunity for everyone. We need a leader willing to fight for the needs of the 99 percent, and stand with hard working families to say that the world’s wealthiest corporations must pay their fair share.”

Is this the vision of socialist America where almost 50 percent of citizens already pay no federal income tax and receive welfare from the producers? Is this the vision where pot-smoking youth occupy our parks demanding handouts while preaching Marxism?

“I made some terrible decisions and mistakes,” Davern told NBC NewsDavid Gregory. “I did lie on a report several years ago.”

He added, “I made mistakes by not telling the honest truth in a police report.”

Supreme Court Blocks Government Plan To Claim Ownership Of DNA 020508babyneedle

In a long running case, a Supreme Court has ruled to limit the use of blood samples collected from newborns by the government.

The case has exposed the fact that there is an ongoing semi-covert movement by state and federal governments to claim ownership of every newborn baby’s DNA for the purpose of genetic research without the consent of individual citizens.

The Minnesota Court ruled Wednesday that the Minnesota Department of Health is violating the law in storing, using and disseminating newborn screening test results and newborn DNA.

Overruling a lower court’s decision, the state Supreme Court found that the samples are “Genetic Information” under the State Genetic Privacy Act, and held that “unless otherwise provided, the Department must have written informed consent to collect, use, store, or disseminate [the blood samples].”

When Manly Virtue Died

These are difficult and perilous times for boys. A distorted culture has robbed them of virtue to measure themselves against. The good once associated with masculinity in a patriarchal society has been tossed out with the bad. This, alas, is the era of feminist ascendency.

Manhood is more easily mocked, satirized and derided, or exposed for its villainy, exploitation and criminality, than held up as an ideal for boys to aspire to. We’ve always had rogues, rascals and villains, but until now we’ve also had a baseline, a common denominator, of what it means to be a man. Male-female cultural distinctions, once blurred, now are disappearing.

For some time now, many conservatives have thought that President Obama is the Second Coming of Jimmy Carter. They think that chronic 9% unemployment, creeping inflation, and a foreign policy of self-abasement and weakness will doom Obama to a single term, and that he’ll slink off with his tail between his legs in disgrace, just like Carter did after 1980.

Maybe they should be thinking about the election of 1996 instead.

There are two dynamics going on here. One is that elements of the DC and NYC press corps (pronounced corpse) are in love with Obama, not afraid of him. Don’t forget that Evan Thomas of Newsweek referred to Herr Ruler as “sort of a God.” Remember also Terry Moran of ABC news who told us that Obama is so hugely wonderful and amazing that he actually had to “step down” to the White House.

What ensued was the longest five minutes of an editorial-board meeting ever.

As partisans on the left and right try to co-opt and compare the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street movements, both sides ignore that they aren’t really that different at all. Both, in fact, hew to the same conventions as all mass movements. And as the 2012 presidential candidates — including President Obama — attempt to form their positions on each one, they’d all be wise to put them in perspective.

In Eric Hoffer’s seminal 1951 work, “The True Believer: Thoughts on the Nature of Mass Movements,” the similarity is drawn with startling clarity.

Obama’s Russia Policy: Trust, Don’t Verify

President Reagan’s famous dictum, which he often quoted to Mikhail Gorbachev in Russian, was Trust but Verify. (In Russian, it rhymes: Doverai, no proverai.) President Obama has recognized that Reagan was a “transformational” president. He says he gave the old man credit, though he never gave him his vote.

Now, Barack Obama is determined also to be a transformational president. And he is succeeding in this. More’s the pity. His Russian policy is one of “Trust, Don’t Verify.”

First, he cancelled missile defense for our new allies— Poland , Hungary , the Czech Republic . This was done with the hope and expectation that it would make the Russians more cooperative on Iran.

Russia has responded by pulling the teeth of any sanctions resolutions at the UN that threatened to really bite the Iranian mullahs. The Washington Post tells us—in a front page story, no less, the absorbing tale of Vyascheslav Danilenko, Russian nuclear scientist, who is said to be aiding Iran in development of a nuclear weapon.

The Police State vs. Occupy Wall Street: This Is Not Going To End Well for Any of Us

It would be nice if all Occupy Wall Street protests would be 100% non-violent.

It would be nice if the police would be reasonable and would carry out their duties with gentleness and respect.

But sadly, those things are probably not going to happen.

The civil unrest we are seeing now is only the beginning.

Things are going to get a lot worse.

If things keep getting escalated to “the next level”, eventually we will see martial law imposed in some of our largest cities.

Don’t think that it can’t happen.

The United States is increasingly becoming a very unstable place.

As America comes apart at the seams, this is not going to end well for any of us.

Republicans Throw Their ‘Pledge To America’ Under the OmniBus

Red State ^ | 11/17/2011 | David Horowitz

Posted on Friday, November 18, 2011 8:29:32 AM by IbJensen

Update: Roll call of members who stood strong is below the fold.

This afternoon, the House passed Harry Reid’s first minibus appropriations bill (Agriculture, Commerce-Justice-Science, Transportation-HUD), which contains record levels of spending for Food Stamps, WIC, and international food aid. It also contains $2.3 billion for disaster spending, which is excluded from the budget caps. Appropriations Committee Chairman Harold Rogers promised today on the House floor that spending will not exceed the $1.043 trillion spending cap. Well, the extra $2.3 billion in disaster spending allowed him to do just that. Moreover, if they continue to adopt the higher spending levels of the Democrats, the only way to stay below the cap will be to cut defense appropriations. Worse, this bill has a provision, which was inserted into the conference report, to expand the role of Fannie Mae and Freddi Mac.

Last year, as part of their ‘Pledge To America,‘ Republicans promised to downsize Freddie/Fannie. They also promised to end the practice of minibus bills. Today, they violated both pledges. Yes, we know that mantra; it’s a minibus bill; not an omnibus. But the reality is that House Republicans never had an opportunity to vote and amend two-thirds of the bill.

In a new book, What It Means to be a Democrat he says that current airport security procedures are “ridiculous.” He writes, further:

The whole silliness of our response is exemplified by what has happened at our airports. Once sources of architectural pride, air terminals are now barricaded behind concrete. Inside we are required to remove our shoes and belts, hand over our gels and liquids and submit to body scans – with the ante being raised each time there’s a new scare.

What upsets me the most is when I see an elderly woman trying her dardedest to comply with these ridiculous rules. Ron Paul on Politics and Freedom…(Waco)

It’s not so difficult to distinguish between libertarians and statists. Let us say that there are some things which one must believe in to be libertarian: private property, competition, the free market, the right to keep and bear arms, the right to secede, and so on.

It’s not common to meet a libertarian on the street, much less in congress. Despite this fact, Ron Paul is one of us. He was a Libertarian candidate for president in 1988, and later a Republican congressman. He has written several books, including The Case for Gold, and has served as an advisor to the Ludwig von Mises Institute. Ron Paul is more than a mere politician.

Dr. Paul, you were a US presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party during the 1988 campaign. You are currently a Republican congressman. Why did you choose to run under the banner of the GOP?

I have always maintained the same basic view of the proper role of government, and I have patterned that view along the lines of the views of the framers of our U.S. Constitution. Do you think the deaths of 75 persons in the burning compound in Waco, Texas, on April 19, 1993 were a direct consequence of the federal siege?

Obama Administration Training Egyptian Islamists for Elections

If you want proof that U.S. policy towards the Arab Spring is fatally flawed, look no further than William Taylor, the State Department’s Special Coordinator for Middle East Transitions and long associate of Muslim Brotherhood apologists. Taylor officially took charge on September 16 and oversees U.S. aid to countries affected by the Arab Spring, specifically Egypt, Tunisia and Libya.

Taylor’s office has been giving Egyptian Islamists training to prepare for the election contests that begin on November 28. He justified it by saying that the assistance is open to all parties and the U.S. wouldn’t pick sides. “Sometimes, Islamist parties show up, sometimes they don’t,” he said nonchalantly.

When asked how the U.S. would feel if the Muslim Brotherhood won Egypt’s elections, he said, “I think we will be satisfied, if it is a free and fair election. What we need to do is judge people and parties and movements on what they do, not what they’re called.” The answer seemed to infer that critics of the Brotherhood are needlessly alarmed by the name of the group.

It gets worse.

The Founding Fathers hated big corporations. See this, this and this. They were as suspicious of big corporations as they were the monarchy. So they only allowed corporate charters for a very brief duration, in order to carry out a specific, time-limited project.

As James Madison noted:

There is an evil which ought to be guarded against in the indefinite accumulation of property from the capacity of holding it in perpetuity by…corporations. The power of all corporations ought to be limited in this respect. The growing wealth acquired by them never fails to be a source of abuses.

Indeed, while the Boston Tea Party was a revolt against taxation without representation, it largely centered on the British government’s crony capitalism – and disproportionate tax breaks – towards the East India Company, the giant company which dominated the tea market and hurt small American business.

“If we capitulate, they will punish the Republican Party,” Paul said in response to questions about proposed tax increases. He also said that Republicans needed to be thinking more dramatically about reducing the federal deficit.

“Even if they cut a trillion dollars over the next couple of years from the baseline budget it doesn’t mean anything,” Paul said.

Washington and Des Moines – Throughout the roller-coaster Republican presidential contest, one thing hasn’t changed: the stubborn refusal of many tea party supporters to warm up to Mitt Romney.

The swift rise and abrupt fall of a succession of GOP candidates has been driven in part by the restless search for a Romney alternative by that group of voters, who energized the GOP’s big turnaround in 2010.

OTTAWA – Canada’s human rights commissions could soon be de-fanged.

New legislation would repeal Section 13, the hate speech portion of Human Rights Act.

“Our government believes Section 13 is not an appropriate or effective means for combating hate propaganda. We believe the Criminal Code is the best vehicle to prosecute these crimes,” Justice Minister Rob Nicholson told the House of Commons during question period.

What Most Americans Don’t Get About Iran

If you are American, chances are fairly good that you have heard of at least some measure of religious prophecy associated with the concept of the ‘end times’, or Armageddon – as it is usually referred to. Most often it has to do with a human-being inclined, but supernaturally omnipotent entity by the name of Jesus, who will lead a horde of heavenly spirits in service to a ‘God’ of all things ‘good’ into war against the forces of evil – which are about the business of inhabiting the inherently materialistic, sinful and easily corruptible people of the planet Earth.

Obama claims share of credit for huge Boeing deal

US President Barack Obama Friday claimed a share of the credit as Boeing sealed its largest-ever commercial aircraft order to build 230 jets worth $21.7 billion for Indonesia‘s Lion Air.

The deal, for 201 737 MAXs and 29 737-900 ERs, bolstered Obama’s strategic decision to orient the struggling US economy with booming markets in emerging Asia, which he sees as an engine of US jobs growth for years to come.

One hundred fifty years ago, Civil War broke out in the United States. In my opinion, this war was the worst war in our 235 + year history. It divided us as a people on many issues – slavery only one of them. The casualties – including both the Union and Confederate soldiers – were the greatest of any of our wars – even the American casualties during World War II – the worst war of the 20th century.

The video scene below from Cold Mountain (2003) and extended lyrics from When Johnny Comes Marching Home give a sense of the intensity of the fighting during the Civil War:

Newt’s Contract with the Earth: Pseudo-Science, Big Government

Most Americans remember Newt Gingrich as being the former Speaker of the House who led America into the glories of conservative victory, and who guided the Republican Party to electoral success in its 1994 “Revolution,” which resulted in the economic boon of the Internet era of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Most do not associate Newt, however, with his true record, which speaks volumes about his underlying ideology and motivations. This ideology is especially evident in his 2007 book A Contract with the Earth, which he coauthored with environmentalist Terry Maple. Read more…

“I believe the government should legalize polygamy because it is lawful in Islam. It would enable all the wives to have the same legal status.” — Muslima in an Islamic polygamous marriage

…nearly 70 percent said they believe that the U.S. should legalize polygamy…42 percent of those surveyed said they were either in, or knew others in polygamous marriages within the local Muslim community. Thirty nine percent said they would engage in a polygamous marriage if it were legal in the United States.

JACKSON, MISS. – As president, Rick Perry would not uphold spending cuts required if the congressional supercommittee fails to meet next week’s deadline for a plan to reduce federal spending by $1.2 trillion, the Republican presidential candidate said Thursday.

“Not at all,” Perry told reporters here when asked whether he would allow the draconian cuts – including $600 billion from the Pentagon — to take place if he is in the White House in January, 2013. The Texas governor insists that his plan to lower taxes and reduce regulations will make the cuts unnecessary by stimulating the economy.

The logical outcome of the OWS movement (What is AmericanThinker Thinking?)

As OWS was the logical outcome of three years of Obama’s fascistic class warfare rhetoric, nationalizing America’s most profitable global companies is the logical outcome of the OWS movement.

As corporations are not people no one will be hurt as we nationalize. It takes medium-sized cities in Shenzhen and Chengdu for Foxconn to manufacture Apple products in China. (snip) The repatriation of Apple manufacturing infrastructure to the US could create as many as 500,000 positions–all high paying, high quality union jobs–here at home, offsetting by at least a factor twenty-five the jobs lost by the delay of the construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline from Alberta, BC to the Gulf of Mexico.

A man accused of firing an assault rifle at the White House believed he was Jesus and thought President Barack Obama was the Antichrist, according to court documents and those who knew him.

At one point, he even suggested to an acquaintance the president was planning to implant computer tracking chips into children.

Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez, 21, was charged Thursday with attempting to assassinate the president or his staff.

U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., who apparently unsuccessfully demanded answers from Attorney General Eric Holder about the prosecution of a Border Patrol agent, today was joined by dozens of his colleagues in going over Holder’s head to address the questions to Barack Obama.

A copy of the letter, signed by Hunter and 36 other members of Congress, was obtained by Andy Ramirez, president of the Law Enforcement Officers Advocates Council, which is working on the case involving the prosecution of and two-year sentence for agent Jesus Diaz.

After twice being cleared by investigators of wrongdoing, he was prosecuted by the Obama administration and ultimately sentenced to two years for violating the constitutional rights of an illegal alien drug smuggler he caught hauling 75 pounds of marijuana into the U.S.
