See Glenn Beck‘s Epic Address at David Horowitz’s ‘Restoration Weekend’ (MUST see)

On November 19, Glenn Beck spoke at the David Horowitz Freedom Center’s “Restoration Weekend,” where he addressed the current political situation in America, entrepreneurship, Occupy Wall Street, Israel and plenty more.

“I think the question — how much trouble are we in — I’ll address. But the bigger question that I would like to address today is — how much trouble is the Left in?,” Beck said at the beginning of his speech. “Because America is waking up. And there’s only going to be one of us standing in the end. And I have every intention of it being us.”

Later on in the speech he quipped, “My six-year-old could be Ben Bernanke for a day and do a better job.“ And he held little back considering his opinion on the ”99 percent,” saying, “Occupy Wall Street is some of the most dark, evil stuff I’ve ever seen.”

Prison Planet.com » Daily Mail In Shambolic & Shameful Hit Piece Against David Icke

November 26, 2011 Leave a comment

Under the headline Wacky conspiracy theorist David Icke cashes in from world tour and booming book business, the Daily Mail, the same newspaper that supported Hitler before World War 2, employs a cocktail of lies, spin and sophomoric taunts in an attempt to discredit Icke. The establishment is obviously not happy about the fact that his speaking tour and books have proven to be wildly popular.

The Daily Mail clock, just off Kensington High...

Of course, the horror that Icke should actually make some money back from the sale of tickets and copies of his book is completely indefensible. I mean, it’s not as if the Daily Mail “journalist” who penned this diatribe gets paid to write is it? Likewise, we’d all be rightfully up in arms if the Daily Mail actually had the shame to ‘cash in’ on the release of information by selling copies of its newspapers! Outrageous! Oh, hang on a minute…

Whatever you study and come to believe, the focus on George A. Custer and his career in the military is open to interpretation. It is also mis-focused as the real hero in the family was Thomas W. Custer, recipient of two Congressional Medals of Honor. Thomas Custer was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Army at age 18, and rose quickly to the rank of Lt. Colonel in two short years. Thomas was the first man to be awarded two Medals of Honor, both for capturing Confederate regimental flags.

The homosexual agenda could destroy the moral fabric of our country as they target children, since that is where our future lies. Have you checked your local school’s curriculum and textbooks? Homosexual activists have set a well planned and well financed agenda that started in the 1960s and now includes not only tolerance of their lethal lifestyle but acceptance with privileges as a special class, as a minority group. The key target is our youth. This can be seen in the following written by “gay revolutionary” Mark Swift and printed in the February 15, 1987 issue of Gay Community News. These excerpts are reprinted from the Congressional Record:

States’ rights group says 10th Amendment opens door to rejection.

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to rule on the constitutionality of Obamacare, the president’s signature health-care-takeover legislation, but a rights organization that advocates for restoration of recognition of the 10th Amendment says states and consumers should not count on the court to reverse the law.

Gunny G’s Old Salt Marines Tavern Weblog: Garwood Debunks the Debunkers

November 26, 2011 4 comments

With July 11, 1993 return of former Marine private Robert Garwood, former N.C. congressman Billy Hendon, and Sen. Bob Smith (R-New Hampshire) from Vietnam, more evidence has been revealed that Vietnam continues to lie about American POWs still in their possession.

Garwood has been the center of controversy since his return to the United States from Vietnam in 1979, six years after the United States government told the American public there were no prisoners left in Vietnam and 14 years after his capture in 1965.

When Garwood secured his release through the efforts of the Red Cross, he came home and was court-martialed for collaborating with the enemy, desertion, assault on a fellow prisoner and other charges. He was found guilty of assault and collaborating with the enemy, was dishonorably discharged from the Marine Corps and forfeited 14 years of back pay.

Not your grandfather’s Republican Party

My lifelong friend and high-school classmate had an wonderful op-ed on iPolitics today. Please consider Not your grandfather’s Republican Party by David Wise.

One of the most negative things to have happened to the increasingly dysfunctional political system in the United States has been the transformation of the Republican Party over the last generation into the party of fiscal deficits. At one time, the bastion of balanced budgets and no free lunches, 70% of gross public debt through the last fiscal year was accumulated under the last three Republican presidents who ran deficits twenty out of twenty years averaging 3.9% of GDP.

As an unabashed and high-profile liberal on President Barack Obama’s White House staff, former “green energy” czar Van Jones was to Republicans what a red cape is to a snorting bull: an irresistible target.

So when he resigned in 2009 under withering fire from the right — triggered by a video of him disparaging the GOP, followed by revelations of a tenuous connection to Sept. 11 conspiracy theorists — few doubted Jones was finished in Washington. He acknowledged as much a year later, writing in The New York Times that politics has become “a combination of speed chess and Mortal Kombat: one wrong move can mean political death.”

Government is in the business of catering primarily to well-organized special interests while spreading the costs of government (i.e., taxes) across the entire taxpaying population. Special interests are well-organized politically, whereas the general public is not, which is why the former group always prevails. Few state legislatures, moreover, are more egregious in pandering to special interests than Maryland?s.

The Men Who Destroyed the Constitution by Thomas DiLorenzo

November 26, 2011 9 comments

In his 1850 Disquisition on Government, John C. Calhoun argued that a written constitution would never be sufficient to contain the plundering proclivities of a central government. Some mechanisms for assuring consensus among the citizens of the states regarding “federal” laws would be necessary.

Consequently, Calhoun proposed giving citizens of the states veto power over federal laws that they believed were unconstitutional (the “concurrent majority”). He also championed the Jeffersonian idea of nullification. To Calhoun (and Jefferson), states’ rights meant that the citizens of the states were sovereign over the central government that they created as their agent, and could only be so if such mechanisms — including the right of secession — existed.

Senators Demand the Military Lock Up American Citizens in a “Battlefield”

While nearly all Americans head to family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, the Senate is gearing up for a vote on Monday or Tuesday that goes to the very heart of who we are as Americans. The Senate will be voting on a bill that will direct American military resources not at an enemy shooting at our military in a war zone, but at American citizens and other civilians far from any battlefield — even people in the United States itself.

Senators need to hear from you, on whether you think your front yard is part of a “battlefield” and if any president can send the military anywhere in the world to imprison civilians without charge or trial.

“Ultimately, responsibility for this failure lays at President Obama’s feet. The whole reason a supercommittee was created was because the President wasn’t willing to lead, wasn’t willing to even put on paper his plans for cutting spending. It’s amazing to what lengths he will go to avoid making tough decisions. And who pays the price for Washington’s failure? The American people and our military personnel, who will now be subjected to a half trillion dollars in national defense cuts?

GOP field running against the media

By Niall Stanage – 11/25/11 09:28 PM ET

Media coverage of conservatives is again in the spotlight, with the furor over the treatment of presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) on the “Late Night with Jimmy FallonTV show.

Fallon’s house band, The Roots, played a segment of Fishbone’s “Lyin’ Ass Bitch” to accompany Bachmann’s stage entrance Monday night. Bachmann was unaware of the musical reference at the time, but later described the incident as “an outrage” and “clearly a form of bias on the part of the Hollywood entertainment elite.”

Fallon apologized for the incident via Twitter.

The controversy is the latest in a series of contentious media episodes that have marked the GOP presidential race, from a June Newsweek cover of a heavily photo-shopped Mitt Romney bearing the headline “The Mormon Moment” to the recent coverage of allegations of sexual harassment against Herman Cain.

Phillip Foster, 73, a retired Canadian diplomat, has been sentenced to house arrest after a 2010 self-defence incident in his home. Foster was attacked in his home by a drunk former romantic partner of one of Foster’s daughters. The attacker, Richard Dean Cantwell, assaulted Foster and was smashing Foster’s possessions. Foster armed himself with a .22-calibre revolver — a potent, if relatively low-powered, firearm. Cantwell attacked Foster, knocking him to the ground, and Foster shot Cantwell in the leg. Cantwell was able to wrest the gun from Foster, but fled the scene. He survived his injury.

Meet Judge John Roll

“Widely respected.” “A wise jurist.”

The US news media heaped on the praise, but was purposefully vague about who this extraordinary judge was and what he actually did.

The early and oft-repeated media claim “the judge was just in the wrong place at the wrong time” doesn’t ring true for several reasons, the most important being how the heck would they know and know so quickly?

Equally as suspicious, why did they feel the need to repeat this statement over and over again from the very beginning of the reports? Who inserted this into the news stream?

Judge Roll was an opponent of the Federal government overreaching its authority.

Specifically:

1. He ruled against federal imposition on states rights in gun law matters,

2. He ruled against elements of the Patriot Act (the part where federal “law enforcement agents” can seize your bank account without cause), and

3. He ruled against the newly announced FEMA Governor system in which the federal government plans to take the power of elected state Governors and put in in the hands of federally-appointed “regional” governors in the case of an “emergency.”

‘Call No Man Father’: Why do Catholics call Priests ‘Father‘?

I want to look at a passage that is often used to say that Catholics are unbiblical because we refer to the priests as Father. Matthew 23:9 is the passage where Jesus says ‘Call no man Father’. How can we call priests Father, when Jesus explicitly says we shouldn’t use such language except of God the Father? I want to start off by looking at the passage in the larger context with the Revised Standard Version, Matthew 23:1-10:

Prison Planet.com » Cell Phones Are Tracking Devices That Governments, Police, Big Corporations And Stalkers Can Use To Easily Track Your Movements

November 26, 2011 4 comments

If you regularly carry a cell phone around with you, you might as well say goodbye to your privacy. The truth is that any cell phone you buy is going to track you wherever you go 24 hours a day. Just as you leave “footprints” wherever you go on the Internet, so also your cell phone is constantly recording wherever you go in the physical world. Most people do not realize this, but the reality is that cell phones are tracking devices that governments, law enforcement authorities, big corporations and even stalkers can use to easily track your movements. If you do not know about this yet, then you are going to be absolutely amazed by what you are about to read. Not only do cell phones track you wherever you go, they can also be used to listen to your private conversations even when they are turned off. We live in a brave new world, and there are a lot of control freaks out there that love to monitor where we go and what we do. Unfortunately, it seems like every time technology advances, we lose a little bit more privacy. Eventually, we may wake up someday in a world where there is absolutely no privacy left.

We all knew that this was coming, didn’t we? Each year Black Friday violence just seems to get worse and worse. What does it say about American consumers when they are willing to fight like crazed animals just to save a few bucks on cheap plastic crap made in China? Not that retailers are innocent in any of this. It certainly seems as though many of them purposely create wild situations on Black Friday where customers will rush like crazy people into their stores and nearly riot as they fight over discounted merchandise. The more Black Friday madness there is, the more of an “event” it becomes, and the higher the profits of the retailers go. This year there was more Black Friday hype than ever and there was also more Black Friday violence than ever. It is being projected that this year a record-setting 152 million Americans will go shopping between Thanksgiving and Sunday night.
