Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said that the Islamic Republic has up to 150,000 missiles pointed at Israel, according to the semi-official Iranian FARS news agency.
According to the report, Vahidi questioned threats against the Islamic Republic from Jerusalem, asking “How many missiles have they prepared themselves for? 10,000? 20,000? 50,000? 100,000, 150,000 or more?”

Pakistanis burn Obama effigy and US flag Updated: 04:36, Monday November 28, 2011
Hundreds of enraged Pakistanis have taken to the streets across the country, burning an effigy of President Barack Obama and setting fire to US flags after 24 soldiers died in NATO air strikes.
The Sunday rallies were organised by opposition and right-wing Islamist groups in major cities of the nuclear-armed country of 167 million people, where opposition to the government’s US alliance is rampant.

The writing is on the wall. If you can’t read it, then you’re going to have a problem – very soon. It was in early 2009 that we first warned our readers of the coming wave of riots and social unrest that would envelop the globe. Nearly three years on we’re seeing a progressive increase in tension among those affected by deteriorating economic conditions and the trend towards social unrest seems to be accelerating. Absolutely nothing has been resolved in terms of the economic and financial woes facing the world, despite the literally trillions of dollars of wealth in the form of credit and monetary easing that has been committed to the crisis.

Obama Plays Golf for 30th Time This Year, 88th as President

While the U.S. economy continues to wane, and the European Union remains in endless turmoil, President Obama continues his all-too-frequent golf outings, as he hit the links for the 30th time this year – and the 88th time since his presidential inaugural.
Following his Thanksgiving feast on Thursday, the President went golfing Friday with his usual crew, including White House trip director Martin Nicholson, as well as Martin’s brother Walter and Reggie Love.
The problem is despite his countless golf excursions, Obama still has time to issue executive orders, squander taxpayers’ dollars, and sabotage the U.S. healthcare system.

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Jose Guerena Ortiz was sleeping after an exhausting 12-hour night shift at a copper mine. His wife, Vanessa, had begun breakfast. Their 4-year-old son, Joel, asked to watch cartoons.
An ordinary morning was unfolding in the middle-class Tucson neighborhood — until an armored vehicle pulled into the family’s driveway and men wearing heavy body armor and helmets climbed out, weapons ready.
They were a sheriff’s department SWAT team who had come to execute a search warrant. But Vanessa Guerena insisted she had no idea, when she heard a “boom” and saw a dark-suited man pass by a window, that it was police outside her home. She shook her husband awake and told him someone was firing a gun outside.

Lab at Hershey Medical Center identifies a virus that could kill cancer

This is not the kind of lab we picture when we think of world-changing science. It’s not the clean, spotless modern laboratories of television or movies.
It’s a cluttered, workaday environment, where plastic test tubes rub shoulders with petri dishes and tubs of chemicals on busy shelves.
[...]
But it is here, on the fifth floor of the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where Dr. Craig Meyers and his team might have conducted a miracle.
What he and his lab claim discovery of is breathtaking in its simplicity.
A common virus, omnipresent in the world.
When it infects humans, it does no harm.

Euphemistically referred to as “smart growth” or the partnership for “sustainable development”, the purpose of this global assault on freedom, as stated by the UN’s Department of Economic and Social Affairs, is to reverse the “…perpetuation of disparities between and within nations…[and the]…continuing deterioration of the ecosystems on which we depend for our well-being.”

…..the U. S. Congress (or all of Washington, DC, for that matter) has reached the level of almost total dysfunction. There are a few individual exceptions, but not many.
Either the problems have become so large that ordinary men just can’t solve them and we are just passengers on a run-away train, or the widening ideological divide between the two parties and the general population renders them impotent. We tend to subscribe to the run-away train theory where the locomotive is being fed by the “fowl” smelling, explosive fuel of political and ideological insanity.
The foundation under which the American federal government operates (a Constitutional Republic) is sound, but the “players” have so corrupted the system over the last 100 to 150 years, there are serious cracks running through the building above it. This “fowl” system that has been built above the foundation has no future other than total collapse, a “turkey” by any other name.

Here is a deeply disturbing truth of our age—one American group, our most aggressive political ideology, is dangerously reactionary, exhibiting all the hallmarks of a fundamentalist movement. Is this the Conservatives? No. This group is, of course—modern liberalism. In fact, during a recent debate witnessed by this author, one party claimed that any person holding a literal belief in the Bible should be kept from public office by law.

Why? Because such persons are generally assumed unfit as they are incapable of rational thought. Specifically, the left must keep a perennial eye peeled for the advent of a theocracy.

College Student Responds to New Hampshire Representative Who Defends Obama’s “Presidency”
….., you said, referring to the patriotic fight of many American citizens to defend the Constitution, “I am sure that the President loves this stupid fight; it keeps his opposition fighting among ourselves, instead of focusing on his failed presidency and focusing on why it would be suicidal to re-elect him.” In that statement, it is clear that you consider yourself among “his opposition” who, you assert, are “fighting among ourselves.”
Whereas, in the same letter you say, “To think that we can deny the President of the United States access to our ballot is beyond belief. Take your fight to the Federal Courts and leave us alone”, making your best effort to protect the illegitimate fraud and forger, the criminal illegally occupying the Oval Office from ABROGATION. More than 5,000 documents have been leaked online purporting to be the correspondence of climate scientists at the University of East Anglia who were previously accused of ‘massaging’ evidence of man-made climate change.
Following on from the original ‘climategate’ emails of 2009, the new package appears to show systematic suppression of evidence, and even publication of reports that scientists knew to to be based on flawed approaches.
And not only do the emails paint a picture of scientists manipulating data, government employees at the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) are also implicated.
One message appeared to show a member of Defra staff telling colleagues working on climate science to give the government a ‘strong message’.

NATO admits it’s probably to blame for a deadly helicopter raid on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, that killed up to 28 Pakistani soldiers and injured over a dozen others. Islamabad responded by cutting off the flow of vital NATO supplies to Afghanistan. The incident may deal a serious blow to their already-strained relations over lethal incursions in Pakistani territory. John Rees, a political analyst from the British-based ‘Stop the War Coalition’, told RT that the U.S. and its allies are creating an explosive situation in the volatile region.

New Bill Would Extend Federal Employment Benefits to Homosexual Partners
The New American ^ | 11/25/2011 | Dave Bohon

In a deep bow to the homosexual lobby, a small army of Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives has introduced legislation that would extend employee benefits to the same-sex partners of federal workers. Under H.R. 3485, homosexual partners of federal employees would be eligible for such benefits as retirement, life insurance, health insurance, workers compensation, and death benefits.
“The federal government must set an example as an equal opportunity employer,” the bill’s sponsor, lesbian Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) was quoted by The Hill as saying. “If we are to treat all federal employees fairly and recruit the best and the brightest to serve in government, we need this legislation.”

How Eisenhower Solved Illegal Border Crossings from Mexico

Posted on Sunday, November 27, 2011 7:46:13 AM by BarnacleCenturion
Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America‘s southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.
President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents – less than one-tenth of today’s force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.
Although there is little to no record of this operation in Ike’s official papers, one piece of historic evidence indicates how he felt. In 1951, Ike wrote a letter to Sen. William Fulbright (D) of Arkansas. The senator had just proposed that a special commission be created by Congress to examine unethical conduct by government officials who accepted gifts and favors in exchange for special treatment of private individuals.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney says his administration deleted all its emails near the end of his term specifically to frustrate political opponents. Though the move appears unorthodox, if not downright illegal, the Republican presidential candidate claims everything was above board and dismisses the recent flap about the emails as pure politics.
On November 17 the Boston Globe reported that at the end of 2006, just as Romney was leaving office and gearing up for his first presidential run, “11 of his top aides purchased their state-issued computer hard drives, and the Romney administration’s emails were all wiped from a server.” In addition, the remaining computers in the Governor’s office were replaced.

If You Thought Police Brutality Was Bad … Wait Until You See What Congress Wants to Do Next Week
Washington’s Blog
Sunday, November 27, 2011
The police brutality against peaceful protesters in Berkeley, Davis, Oakland and elsewhere is bad enough.
But next week, Congress will vote on explicitly creating a police state.
The ACLU’s Washington legislative office explains:
The Senate is gearing up for a vote on Monday or Tuesday that goes to the very heart of who we are as Americans. The Senate will be voting on a bill that will direct American military resources not at an enemy shooting at our military in a war zone, but at American citizens and other civilians far from any battlefield — even people in the United States itself.
***
The Senate is going to vote on whether Congress will give this president—and every future president — the power to order the military to pick up and imprison without charge or trial civilians anywhere in the world.
