In what has become almost a ritualistic rite of passage during the 2012 GOP presidential primary, Newt Gingrich, who has surged to the top of nearly every national and state poll, will meet with Donald Trump on Monday, the day Trump’s book, Time To Get Tough, hits stores.

Gingrich has filled the populist space in the polls that Trump ushered in when Trump combined his harsh rhetoric toward Obama while embracing populist economic messages that endeared himself to Tea Party crowds.

Barney Frank’s legacy will not include the prostitution ring that took place at his Washington D.C. townhouse in 1989, without his knowing, according to Barney. He was reprimanded by the House of Representatives in 1990, but Massachusetts, the home of American witchcraft, reelected him – too many times.

Barney Frank’s legacy will not be that he was the first “Out” gay to become part of the United States Congress.

The Newt Surge is official. Over the last week, Gingrich’s Intrade odds of winning the nomination rose from 16% to 39%. Romney has faded a little but still leads with 47% odds. No one else is above 5% odds.

The polls are even more stunning. Rasmussen shows Gingrich leading 38%-17% in a national poll. Real Clear Politics lists polls with Gingrich leading Romney by 15-30 points in Florida, South Carolina and Iowa, and trailing Romney by only 10 points in New Hampshire.

The Senate this evening is poised to vote on a defense authorization bill that includes a provision which not only repeals the military law on sodomy, but also repeals the military ban on sex with animals–or bestiality. On Nov. 15, the Senate Armed Services Committee unanimously approved S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act, which includes a provision to repeal Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Article 125 of the UCMJ makes it illegal to engage in both sodomy with humans and sex with animals.

James Madison, father of the Constitution, warned, “The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become instruments of tyranny at home.” Abraham Lincoln had similar thoughts, saying, “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter, and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

During war, there has always been a struggle to preserve constitutional liberties. During the Civil War, the right of habeas corpus was suspended. Newspapers were closed. Fortunately, those actions were reversed after the war.

I wouldn’t put him in that category. You know, he was known to be from the left-wing of the party, especially early in his years, you know he would come up with conservative viewpoints and all, but that doesn’t make him a conservative. No, I don’t put him in that category.

In an exclusive interview with The Associated Press, CEO Dan Akerson insisted that the cars are safe, but said the company will purchase the Volts because it wants to keep customers happy. Three fires have broken out in Volts after side-impact crash tests done by the federal government.

Akerson said that if necessary, GM will recall the more than 6,000 Volts now on the road in the U.S. and repair them once the company and federal safety regulators figure out what caused the fires.

He’s at 50 percent in Florida and nationally, among likely voters, enjoys a 20-point lead on Romney. He’s not blowing smoke here. If he doesn’t stumble this month and Cain drops out, it’s absolutely possible that he’ll run the table in the early states. Unlike in other years, that itself won’t cinch the nomination — Romney’s got the cash and organization to press on, and there’ll be time before Super Tuesday for Newt to cool off — but still.

Which is a long way of saying that the best thing that can happen to Newt right now is that the conservative media vet him and do so with great vigor, anticipating every charge and debating every past apostasy and failing. Newt’s personal story, marriage to Callista and his conversion are powerful walls against his past poor judgments in his life, but they serve not as all to answer Steyn’s charge that Newt “hops and skips like a giddy frog across lily pads across the pond, from one, little, itsy-bitsy novelty idea to another, not awfully well thought out.”

Johnson said only the executive branch, not the courts, are equipped to make decisions about who qualifies as an enemy, the AP reported.

Thursday, December 1, 2011

Major US-Israel differences surfaced suddenly Thursday, Dec. 1, over the timing and circumstances of an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, when Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint US Chiefs of Staff, said: “I don’t know whether Israel would alert the United States ahead of time if it decided to take military action against Iran.” Three hours later, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak maintained US policy would enable Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon without the possibility of attacking it.

In an interview, General Dempsey went on to admit a range of differences between the US and Israel on two key issues: The first related to their expectations from the sanctions and the diplomatic moves being taken by the Obama administration, “with the stated intent not to take any options off the table” – language that leaves open the possibility of future military action.

“I am not sure that the Israelis share our outlook” on this matter, said the American general.

President Obama believes that Republican leadership of the country would ruin the United States as a land of opportunity, but he’s (justifiably) confident that his daughters will have plenty of opportunities, no matter what.

“Our kids are going to be fine,” Obama told supporters at a campaign event last night. “And I always tell Malia and Sasha, look, you guys, I don’t worry about you . . . they’re on a path that is going to be successful, even if the country as a whole is not successful. But that’s not our vision of America. I don’t want an America where my kids are living behind walls and gates, and can’t feel a part of a country that is giving everybody a shot.”

It is good to be the president.

NATO recently literally shot itself in the foot, imperiling the resupply of International Assistance Forces (ISAF) in Afghanistan by shooting up two Pakistani border posts in a “hot pursuit’ raid.

Given that roughly 100 fuel tanker trucks along with 200 other trucks loaded with NATO supplies cross into Afghanistan each day from Pakistan, Pakistan’s closure of the border has ominous long-term consequences for the logistical resupply of ISAF forces, even as Pentagon officials downplay the issue and scramble for alternative resupply routes.

Some troubling inconsistencies are arising regarding General Motors and NHTSA’s response to the crash-tested Chevy Volt fires first reported a few weeks ago. NHTSA and GM delayed informing the public of the initial Volt incident that occurred about six months ago until recently. According to an early NY Times piece on the exploding Volt, NHTSA and GM claimed that they were unable to replicate the fire that occurred at the time. In fact, according to a CNN Money piece that ran when the story first broke, GM spokesman Greg Martin stated that the Volt battery pack was subjected to more than 300,000 safety tests.

About two weeks after these statements, NHTSA announced that in three more recent tests on the Volts…..

In a speech at MIT last night to discuss the packed sweepstakes to build a tech campus in New York City, Mayor Bloomberg said he prefers City Hall to the White House. Almost immediately after Mayor Bloomberg dampened recent speculation he’s eyeing a White House bid, he added fuel to the fire by explaining why a mayor would be the best person for the job.

Mayor Bloomberg’s recent criticism of President Obama for allowing the debt reduction Supercommittee to fail led many political tea leaf watchers to believe he’s eyeing a potential White House bid. To the dismay of those who hope he’ll mount presidential campaign, Mayor Bloomberg began his speech last night by discussing why City Hall is just fine by him.

“I have my own army in the NYPD, which is the seventh biggest army in the world. I have my own State Department, much to Foggy Bottom’s annoyance. We have the United Nations in New York, and so we have an entree into the diplomatic world that Washington does not have,” Mayor Bloomberg said.

O’Reilly’s Book on Lincoln

Quite a few people have emailed me begging me to critically review Bill O’Reilly’s new book, Killing Lincoln, about the assassination. They do this not because they have read the book, which is a big, boring bag of nothingness, but because they’ve heard O’Reilly spout the neocon party line about “Father Abraham” on his television show and they smell a rat.

I’ve read the book, and it really is a big bunch of nothing. All it is is a narrative of the events leading up to the assassination. Over 100 books are already in print on the subject, and all O’Reilly and his coauthor do is cut and paste what others have written on the subject, but without including a single footnote! The authors also have the annoying habit of writing things like, “in his mind, he was thinking that . . . ” as though they could know what Lincoln was thinking when he did this or that 150 years ago.

Yes, Newt Gingrich is more dangerous to the well-being of the United States, and our people, than Barack Obama. That’s a strong statement, and I intend to prove it!

There are many ways to prove this.

I’ll use Newt’s actual voting record, as well as his many positions that run counter to what’s best for the Republic. I’ll also talk about his abilities to persuade otherwise intelligent people to follow him into the abyss.

You see it’s this ability to take the hard left’s positions, and carefully re-word them, making them sound like “conservative” positions, that makes Newt such a threat.

Sympathy for Obama

December 1, 2011 Leave a comment

Our poor President Obama, he’s doing his very best by everything he was ever taught and it’s not coming out right. If we see America through his eyes for a moment we can feel his frustration, the disappointment that humanity is not following its proscribed Marxist path toward truth, justice and the Workers’ Paradise.

First we must appreciate Obama’s rearing within the Soviet sphere. Forty years ago I visited “community action centers” run by the “social action arm” of the Black Panthers in Oakland, California, and taught in a commune in Liaoning Province, Manchuria in ’87-’88. All the educational materials, wall posters and videos intended for children, were the same in all places.

Though his past is nearly impossible to research, we can bet that Obama’s childhood, whether in other countries or here in the USA, was spent in this propagandistic environment, dominated by the international struggle of Socialism over the Running Dogs of Capitalism: America.

Typo or Torpedo? Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand Proposes a Bill to Legalize Insider Trading

With the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee set to begin congressional insider trading hearings today, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, whose husband trades stock options, has proposed a bill that would legalize, not ban, insider trading by members of Congress.

“This is just nuts,” says UCLA Law Professor Stephen Bainbridge. The controversy surrounding Sen. Gillibrand’s version of the STOCK (Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge) Act involves a curious omission of a conjunction that CNBC.com editor John Carney calls “shocking” and a “scandal” because it would “gut the law” entirely.

In Sen. Scott Brown’s version of the bill, the law reads:

“Not later than 270 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Commission shall, by rule, prohibit any person from buying or selling the securities or security-based swaps of any issuer while such person is in possession of material nonpublic information relating to any pending or prospective legislative action relating to such issuer, if–

(A) such information was obtained by reason of such person being a Member or employee of Congress; or

(B) such information was obtained from a Member or employee of Congress, and such person knows that the information was so obtained.”

Mission Accomplished: Civil War or the Return of Oligarchical Democracy?

The outcome of the “experiment” with a colonial dictatorial technocratic regime is difficult to predict. One reason is because the measures adopted are so extreme and extensive, that they unify almost all important social classes (except the top 5%) against them at the same time. The concentration of power in an “appointed” elite further isolates them and unifies most citizens in favor of democracy against colonial submission and unelected rulers.

The measures approved by the technocrats face the unlikely prospect of full implementation, especially by civil servants and public employees facing firings, pay cuts and reduced pensions. The across the board cuts undermine ‘divide and conquer’ tactics.

Given the scope and depth of the downgrading of the public sector and the indignity of serving a regime clearly under colonial tutelage,it is possible that breaks and fissures will take place in the military and police apparatus especially if they provoke popular uprisings which turn violent.

The technocratic juntas cannot ensure that their policies will be implemented. If not, revenues will falter; strikes and protests will scare off predator buyers of public firms. The big squeeze will undermine local business, production will decline the recession will deepen.

You never want to get in Adam Carolla’s cross hairs when he goes off on a rant.

The podcast king is known for his blistering tirades, and while he’s not the most politically active comic he does dabble in ideological matters on occasion. He recently did more than dabble when the subject came to the Occupy Wall Street movement. If OWS was on life support following a series of shutdowns and sinking poll numbers, then Carolla may have put the finishing touch on it with this nearly 10-minute rant.

It’s not pretty – the language is saltier than an over-brined chicken – but conservatives will cheer that rare comic willing to mine comedy gold no matter where he may find it. To be fair, Carolla isn’t getting political here. He’s talking common sense, and the fact that he’s one of the few comedians doing so with clarity and passion is a sobering testament to modern times.

ATLANTA (AP) – An attorney for Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has demanded cell phone records from an Atlanta businesswoman accusing Cain of an extramarital affair.

Cain attorney Lin Wood sent a letter Wednesday to a lawyer representing Ginger White asking that Cain’s team be provided with cell phone records showing calls and text messages between White and Cain.

Wood said Cain wants those phone records, among other documents, so he can examine them for their authenticity and content.

Adam Carolla Breaks Down Occupy Movement: ‘F**king Self-Entitled Monsters’

Some people have a way of breaking down an issue, laying it out in its simplest, most rudimentary form. Comic and podcaster Adam Carolla did just that recently when he unleashed what many conservatives will hail an acerbic yet painfully accurate debunking of the Occupy movement and its self-ascribed motivations. The nearly ten minute long lampooning of America’s new “f–king self-entitled monsters“ who ”think the world owes them a living” is peppered with very strong language, still, Carolla’s observations are worth listening through to the end.

Sens. Hatch, Lugar and Snowe haven’t been hit too hard by tea-party, yet

The Washington Post ^ | August 24, 2011 | Rachel Weiner

Posted on Thursday, December 01, 2011 10:06:31 AM by Eagle of Liberty

In a few 2012 Senate races, tea- party challenges seemed almost inevitable. Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe (R), Virginia Senate candidate George Allen(R), Indiana Sen. Dick Lugar (R), and Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch (R) were all expected to face tough competition on the right. But so far, serious challenges in all three races have failed to materialize.

Maybe it’s a case of tea-party groups firing too early. Some of these incumbents have been targets since before last fall’s election. That’s given them plenty of time to react. They also know to take these challenges seriously, because they saw firsthand the damage wrought by similar primary challenges in 2010.

Lee Duigon — You Don’t Need College, to be an Intellectual

Face it—the idea of universal college education is a bust. Virtually everybody goes to college nowadays, and what have we got to show for it? Sky-high tuition, bottomless pits of student loan debt, and uncounted hordes of young people who can’t get jobs because they don’t know how to work and jolly well don’t want to.

Pardon me for being so confused, but isn’t the argument I am about to make exactly where the homosexual “born that way” logic leads?

Sexual activity is a behavior. Sexual orientation is an attraction. They are not the same.

Orientation is not a sin. Acting on that inclination, or attraction, can be. That is if you believe in sin. It is behavior that is sinful. Healthy people do not act on destructive impulses.

The elimination of God, along with His moral standards of right and wrong, has built a belief system undergirded by the sinking-sand of humanistic moral-relativism. We find our nation swaying with moral-vertigo because the orientation of our moral standard is no longer anchored to Truth.

…..The solution to our nation’s problem will not come in the next federal election, just like it didn’t come in the last federal election, despite all the Tea Party winners who have done nothing to stop the rush towards the cliff since 2010.

In fact, politicians in general will not be the solution to our nation’s woes. Only the people can solve the problem now, as our government passed the point of no return in 2006 when Democratic Socialists won control of both houses of Congress and drove the economy into the toilet by 2008 — and then 2008 when a totally ineligible and unfit nobody became Dictator-n-Chief of the United States.

Obama’s cabal of mental midgets and moral misfits are the laughing stock of the free world. Daffy Duck could defeat Obama in 2012, unless Americans remain divided by the lack-luster pool of Republican candidates who can’t get the job done either, in which case, they deserve to live under the boot of Obommunism.

Can Congress Steal Your Constitutional Freedoms?

Townhall.com ^ | December 1, 2011 | Judge Andrew Napolitano

Can the president use the military to arrest anyone he wants, keep that person away from a judge and jury, and lock him up for as long as he wants? In the Senate’s dark and terrifying vision of the Constitution, he can.

Congress is supposed to work in public. That requirement is in the Constitution. It is there because the folks who wrote the Constitution had suffered long and hard under the British Privy Council, a secret group that advised the king and ran his government. We know from the now-defunct supercommittee, and other times when Congress has locked its doors, that government loves secrecy and hates transparency. Transparency forces the government to answer to us. Secrecy lets it steal our liberty and our property behind our backs.

Is Mitt Romney as Whiny as Barack Obama? Or Just Not Really Vetted?

If you haven’t seen the Bret Baier interview with Mitt Romney it is now abundantly apparent why Mitt Romney will not sit in the middle chair and take tough questions from the roundtable — his skin is as thin as Barack Obama’s. (To Bret’s credit, he had the roundtable panel submit questions and Steve Hayes asked an awesome one. You’ll have to watch the interview to see it)

Bret Baier asked Romney, “About your book, you talk about Massachusetts healthcare. We’ve heard you many times, in the debates and interviews, talk about how it is different in your mind than the president’s healthcare law, Obamacare. The question is, do you still support the idea of a mandate? Do you believe that that was the right thing for Massachusetts? Do you think a mandate, mandating people to buy insurance is the right tool?”

Bulletproof Barney Frank Retires — Liberal, Gay, Untouchable

Townhall.com ^ | December 1, 2011 | Larry Elder

Posted on Thursday, December 01, 2011 9:10:36 AM by Kaslin

When Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., announced his intention not to seek re-election after a 32-year career, not one of the nightly news broadcast network anchors found time or space to mention either Frank’s central role in the housing meltdown or his congressional reprimand. Not one. Similarly, an Associated Press article headlined, “Democratic Rep. Barney Frank Announces Retirement,” mentioned the reprimand, but nada on Frank and the housing collapse.

ABC called him “one of the most familiar, powerful and colorful characters on Capitol Hill.” NBC said, “Among his legacies — besides his legendary sharp tongue — he was the first member of Congress to publicly acknowledge he was gay, back in 1987.” In a nearly 30-paragraph press release — uh, news article — headlined, “Barney Frank, a Top Liberal, Won’t Seek Re-election,” The New York Times sanitized, purged and whitewashed.

The “all the news that’s fit to print” newspaper, America’s most influential, left out a few things.

Frank relentlessly defended Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the “government sponsored entities” at the center of the housing meltdown. National Review editorialized: “It is as a champion of a different kind of pay-for-play operation, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, that the congressman did the most damage to the country.” Economist Thomas Sowell wrote last year, “No one contributed more to the policies behind the housing boom and bust, which led to the economic disaster we are now in, than Congressman Barney Frank.”

Sowell explains: “His powerful position on the House of Representatives’ Committee on Financial Services gave him leverage to force through legislation and policies which pressured banks and other lenders to grant mortgage loans to people who would not qualify under the standards which had long prevailed. … With the federal regulators leaning on banks to make more loans to people who did not meet traditional qualifications — the ‘underserved population’ in political Newspeak — and quotas being given to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to buy more of these riskier mortgages from the original lenders, critics pointed out the dangers in these pressures to meet arbitrary home ownership goals. But Barney Frank counter-attacked these critics.”…..

‘Iran Planning To Attack US Bases In Germany’

Officials in the German government said Iran will try to target US military bases located in Germany, if Washington launches an attack against its nuclear program in Tehran, German newspaper Bild reported on Thursday.

According to the paper, the German security services held an investigation against a German businessman who is suspected of having secret ties with the Iranian Embassy in Berlin, and helping to plan an attack on American Air Force bases located in the country.

The aim of the attack, the report noted, is to thwart American logistic activities needed in order to carry out a military operation against Iranian nuclear facilities.

Prison Planet.com » War on drugs revealed as total hoax – US military admits to guarding, assisting lucrative opium trade in Afghanistan

December 1, 2011 Leave a comment

Afghanistan is, by far, the largest grower and exporter of opium in the world today, cultivating a 92 percent market share of the global opium trade. But what may shock many is the fact that the US military has been specifically tasked with guarding Afghan poppy fields, from which opium is derived, in order to protect this multibillion dollar industry that enriches Wall Street, the CIA, MI6, and various other groups that profit big time from this illicit drug trade scheme.

Prior to the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Afghanistan was hardly even a world player in growing poppy, which is used to produce both illegal heroin and pharmaceutical-grade morphine. In fact, the Taliban had been actively destroying poppy fields as part of an effort to rid the country of this harmful plant, as was reported by thePittsburgh Post-Gazetteon February 16, 2001, in a piece entitledNation’s opium production virtually wiped out(http://news.google.com/newspapers?n…).

But after 9/11, the US military-industrial complex quickly invaded Afghanistan and began facilitating the reinstatement of the country’s poppy industry. According to the United Nations Drug Control Program (UNDCP), opium cultivation increased by 657 percent in 2002 after the US military invaded the country under the direction of then-President George W. Bush (http://www.infowars.com/fox-news-ma…).

Forget about the obvious violation of Constitutional rights that the recently-approved $662 billion Defense Authorization bill inflicts by allowing for indefinite military detention of United States citizens without formal charges or trial by a jury of peers, the justification for doing so just became more absurd. In the clip below, Rand Paul (R-KY) asks John McCain (R-AZ), “if an American citizen is declared an enemy combatant, could they be sent to Guantanamo Bay and detained indefinitely?”

The Fed’s latest actions in cooperating with foreign central banks to undertake liquidity swaps of dollars for foreign currencies is another reason why Congress needs enhanced power to oversee and audit the Fed. Under current law Congress cannot examine these types of agreements. Those who would argue that auditing the Fed or these agreements with central banks harms the Fed’s independence should reevaluate the Fed’s supposed independence when the Fed bails out Europe so soon after President Obama promised US assistance in resolving the Euro crisis.

How are we monitord in this country? What do we see that is changed? Where have our freedoms diminished?

Bureracratic oversight is a big problem and different legislatures certainly suuport it.

Our cell phones monitor our every move.

Off the bat I think of banking oversight that reports to authorities all transactions. In our state smart meters utitities are required to report unusual usage patterens,

Our pharmacies are not permitted to sell cough syrup in more than two bottle sales per three days.

The IRS… I dont even begin to understand the ins and outs there on how they control our lives…

The neurosurgeon had just returned from a conference by HHS (Health and Human Services) for physicians regarding the new health care law that will go into effect in 2014. The neurosurgeon said that the physicians in attendance were instructed that if a “unit over age 70” comes in needing brain surgery, only comfort care is to be given. Patients, according to the new health care law, will be referred to as “units”.

Agenda 21 – What Is It? Apparently is is a plan to reduce the population

Several people have become interested in a quite controversial topic called “AGENDA 21.” They have requested being on a ping list for this topic.

While I do not have time to do a thorough treatment of this subject, nor am I in any way an expert, I am willing at least for a time,to ping people as I run across articles which might pertain to this concern.

It might be good to start with an examination of just what it is or might be.

To kick this discussion and exploration off,I did a Google search (just for fun) on “Agenda 21.” There were a number of YouTube clips and various blogger links which surfaced in answer to the query.
