Russia stays loyal to Kalashnikov

MOSCOW, December 21 (RIA Novosti) – The Russian military will not abandon the legendary Kalashnikov AK assault rifle, Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said on Wednesday.

Chief of the General Staff Nikolai Makarov said in September that the Defense Ministry had stopped procuring AK-47 rifles because of oversupply, indicating that new models of small arms and light weapons would replace it.

But Serdyukov dismissed those suggestions as absurd.

“For some reason everyone decided that if the Defense Ministry has not signed large-scale contracts for the procurement of Kalashnikov rifles they will be taken out of service. That is stupidity of course,” Serdyukov said in an interview with Rossiiskaya Gazeta in an issue to be published on Thursday.

“We have large amounts of automatic rifles and it makes no sense to purchase more,” he said.

Prison Planet.com » Martial Law Attempt In Louisiana Echoes Ron Paul’s Warning

December 21, 2011 7 comments

Following the fatal shooting of a toddler in a crime ridden New Orleans housing project, a Louisiana state representative has called for what amounts to martial law.

Austin Badon contacted Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal’s office Monday and asked that the National Guard be deployed. Jindal’s office said Badon was told that any such a request would have to come from the New Orleans mayor Mitch Landrieu.

Under Article I, Section 8, Clause 15 of the Constitution, the National Guard – considered a state militia – is authorized to “execute the laws of the Union and suppress Insurrections and repel Invasion.” The Constitution says nothing about dispatching the military to fight domestic crime, a task usually undertaken by local law enforcement.

A Legal and Spiritual Resistance to the New World Order

“If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—forever.” -George Orwell, Author of “1984’

A battle for the future of mankind has been going on for many centuries. We are in the final phases of the battle, where unless there is sufficient resistance both legally and spiritually, America and the freedom’s it represents is about to violently gang-raped in the public square and shot to death. The men and women who will commit this crime are in the media, military, politics, science, art, culture, education and they could be you and I. The future is not fixed. What we believe and what we do will determine the outcome. Many do not recognize that America’s death and rape will soon be their own, there is nowhere to hide. Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion taken from one group will quickly be stolen from all.

Local Cops Ready for War With Homeland Security-Funded Military Weapons

Daily Beast ^ | 12/21/2011 | Andrew Becker

A decade of billions in spending in the name of homeland security has armed local police departments with military-style equipment and a new commando mentality. But has it gone too far? Andrew Becker and G.W. Schulz of the Center for Investigative Reporting report.

Nestled amid plains so flat the locals joke you can watch your dog run away for miles, Fargo treasures its placid lifestyle, seldom pierced by the mayhem and violence common in other urban communities. North Dakota’s largest city has averaged fewer than two homicides a year since 2005, and there’s not been a single international terrorism prosecution in the last decade.

But that hasn’t stopped authorities in Fargo and its surrounding county from going on an $8 million buying spree to arm police officers with the sort of gear once reserved only for soldiers fighting foreign wars.

Well.

So Ron Paul is picking up steam in Iowa. May even be a frontrunner.

And here he is (beginning at 4:06 in the video) saying of Bradley Manning, the U.S. soldier who leaked thousands of pages of classified U.S. government documents to Wikileaks, that Manning is a “true patriot” and a “political hero.”

I kid you not.

Here’s the link to the video. Wait ’til Newt, Mitt, Rick, Rick, Michele, and Jon hear about this.

National Guard engaged in door-to-door gun confiscation during Hurricane Katrina

Wednesday, December 21, 2011

Lawmakers in Louisiana are calling for National Guard troops to patrol the streets of New Orleans after a toddler was killed in a drive-by shooting. The last time troops were involved in domestic law enforcement in the state, they were used to confiscate legally owned firearms in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Keira Holmes Gordon was caught in the crossfire of two separate groups of men in cars who were targeting another man stood near a B. W. Cooper Housing development on Sunday. The toddler, four days shy of her second birthday, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Citing soaring crime levels, state lawmaker Austin Badon Jr. told CNN he “wants the government to step and help control the violence,” by sending troops to patrol troubled areas, although he admitted that just “a select few people” were responsible for the crimes.

From the remorseless liars that brought America into the Iraq War, have kept the US mired in Afghanistan for now over a decade, oversaw the genocide in Libyawrought by NATO-backed Al Qaeda terrorists, and are attempting to incite war with both Syria and Iran, comes a frothing, if not entirely elementary attack against one of the few obstacles that stands in their way of perpetual war fought at America’s expense but for their personal gain.

For many in the GOP and Tea Party movements, Ron Paul is a crank; the crazy uncle of the right, the quack eccentric geezer with the ability to put a wrench in the system. And those are just some of the nicer expressions some conservatives have used to describe him. Is he a crank? Ron Paul supporters certainly do not feel that way. To them, he is a courageous and principled leader who tells it like it really is, an outsider with the power of the people behind him, fighting the bad guys and evil-doers

I’ve previously noted that Obama says that he can assassinate American citizens living on U.S. soil.

This admittedly sounds over-the-top. But one of the nation’s top constitutional and military law experts – Jonathan Turley – agrees.

Turley:

- Has worked as both the CBS and NBC legal analyst during national controversies

- Ranks 38th in the top 100 most cited ‘public intellectuals’ in a recent study by a well-known judge

- Is one of the top 10 lawyers handling military cases

- Has served as a consultant on homeland security and constitutional issues

- Is a frequent witness before the House and Senate on constitutional and statutory issues

Turley said yesterday on C-Span (starting at 15:50):

President Obama Allegedly Sent This Congratulatory Letter to a Recently-Married Gay Couple

Barack ObamaThe Blaze ^ | 20 Dec 2011 | Billy Hallowell

Posted on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 7:32:27 PM by mandaladon

President Barack Obama has characterized his views on same-sex marriage as “evolving.” While he has traditionally opposed gay marriage, some intriguing developments — including a wedding card he purportedly sent to a gay couple — are leading to questions surrounding whether he’ll soon change his mind. With the campaign cycle heating up, this may be a demographic he’ll more actively pursue. Regarding the alleged note: A recently-married gay couple has come forward saying that they received a random card from the president. The note, which offers them well-wishes as they start their life together, may be further evidence that Obama is preparing to turn a corner on his views on gay matrimonies (or, at the least, it‘s an indicator that he’s ready to actively pursue votes among this electoral cohort).

The letter, which was dated Dec. 8, 2011, offers congratulations “on this special occasion.“ It goes on to say that both Michelle and the president ”hope it is blessed with love, laughter, and happiness.”

Via Fox News Insider, this clip shouldn’t be as gratifying as it is. Surely no one needs Bill Clinton to tell them that the press was neck-deep in the tank for The Unicorn Prince in 2008. But it is gratifying, partly because of the hint of lingering resentment in Clinton’s reaction and partly because of the extra little shadow of illegitimacy it casts on Obama’s victory.

It’s no secret that BJ didn’t think much of O during the campaign — remember this infamous exchange he reportedly had with Ted Kennedy? — but to see him acknowledge this when we’re on the cusp of another campaign where the media will be neck-deep in the tank for Obama is oddly comforting. Forget the bit at the end where he hedges on media bias against the GOP and never mind that, if asked, he would surely say he thinks Obama would have beat Hillary without the press’s help (she did end up winning New Hampshire, after all).

Those are stock answers that any good soldier would offer for his party. The one about Hillary is not, which is what makes it so striking. No one’s under any illusions about the media’s corruption, including the elder statesmen in their favored party.

In June of 1976, I was Ron Paul’s speechwriter. Shortly after I joined his staff as his newsletter writer and economic analyst, I recommended that he do what I had been doing for a year: buy a Code-A-Phone telephone answering machine and make a weekly 3-minute recording for people in his districts to call. He could send the tape to his office in the district, where the machine would be set up at a local phone number. Residents could call it for free. He thought this was a good idea. So began his weekly speeches.

I wrote his first talk. He later told me that he didn’t like reading a script written by anyone else, so he had decided to record his own. As far as I know, that was the last speech anyone ever wrote for him.

He used that machine for the next two-and-a-half years. After his defeat in November 1976, he posted a weekly phone message. The weekly report became a tool for a comeback. In 1978, he defeated the man who had barely defeated him (268 votes) in 1976.

So, having been his only speechwriter, I will now offer my second speech that he will not deliver.

Before the economic crisis of 2008 there were few who considered the possibility of The End of The World As We Know It (TEOTWAWKI). We were aware of the threats posed by natural disasters – Tsunamis in Asia, earthquakes along the western Americas, and hurricanes in the Gulf.

But the notion that the very system in which we live is susceptible to a man-made shock so powerful that it could wipe out the very infrastructure that keeps us alive was an outlier so far removed from our daily reality that it was reserved for Hollywood scripts and obscure conspiracy web sites.

But the possibility of a system collapse so severe that it could cripple our and monetary systems, food distribution networks, and emergency response services is now becoming a real concern for people all over the world.

The warning by economists that Britain is just ‘nine meals from anarchy’ is brutally borne out. Unlike last summer, the rioters on the streets aren’t looking for trainers and flat-screen TVs — just food.

And I want to remind you that I have warned you this kind of thing is going to happen. The unemployment number is going to precipitously drop and it’s going to get close to 8% by next November. Just mark my words. That’s in the can. It’s in the cards. Also, Obama’s approval number now is up five points over the last three months or some such thing. Not sure of the time frame, but it’s up the highest since last summer, and this is being heralded. Now, clearly, if you go through, if you look at the story reporting this, you find that there is still overwhelming disapproval with Obama’s policies, profound disapproval of his policies, but his overall job approval number is up five points…..

The Fast and the Furious (1955 film)

Posted on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 4:51:29 PM by neverdem

In all of my years fighting on behalf of the National Rifle Association to defend the Second Amendment, I never thought I would see a White House so vehemently opposed to gun ownership that it would be willing to arm violent criminals and endanger American lives in pursuit of a gun control agenda. Readers will recall that a little over two months ago, in this same space, I wrote:

“I would like to believe that President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder – no matter how much they oppose our Second Amendment rights – would never break the law and endanger human lives in their mission to score political points against gun owners…

“However, to believe all of this, I would have to ignore a lot of facts.”

And now, according to new documents obtained by CBS News, we are faced with the fact that the Obama administration helped transfer illegal guns to drug cartels in Mexico to build a case for gun control – specifically, gun registration – here in America.

“If these reports are true, even by Washington standards this reaches a new level of arrogance and corruption,” remarked Senator John Cornyn (R-TX). Unfortunately, Sen. Cornyn is not exaggerating.

On July 14, 2010, Mark Chait, who served as Assistant Director for Field Operations for the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives (BATFE) sent an email to Bill Newell, BATFE’s special agent in charge of operation “Fast and Furious.” Chait’s email said:

“Bill, can you see if these guns were all purchased from the same (licensed gun dealer) and at one time? We are looking at anecdotal cases to support a demand letter on long-gun sales. Thanks.”

Just six months later, after a press conference to announce arrests made in “Fast and Furious,” Chait emailed Newell again, saying:

“Bill–well done yesterday… (I)n light of our request for Demand letter 3, this case could be a strong supporting factor if we can determine how many multiple sales of long guns occurred during the course of this case.”

“Demand letter 3″ is a letter sent to U.S. firearms dealers in the four southwest border states, demanding that they register sales of more than one semi-automatic rifle to the same person within five business days.

Under its “Fast and Furious” operation, Obama’s BATFE had been forcing licensed firearms dealers to sell semi-automatic rifles to shady straw purchasers, who would then supply them to drug cartels in Mexico.

Prison Planet.com » Branstad’s Act Of Sabotage An Outrageous Attempt To Tamper With Election Process

December 20, 2011 6 comments

Iowa Governor Terry Branstad’s rhetorical act of sabotage against his own state’s Republican primary, with his insistence that a potential Ron Paul victory should be ignored, represents an outrageous attempt to tamper with the election process.

As we reported earlier, Branstad told Politico that a Paul victory in the primary should be dismissed, urging Republicans to ignore the legitimacy of the result if the Texan Congressman comes out on top, which recent polls suggest he has a very good chance of doing. Politico adds that many fear “such a result….would do irreparable harm to the future role of the first-in-the-nation caucuses.”

“People are going to look at who comes in second and who comes in third,” said Branstad, adding, ““If [Mitt] Romney comes in a strong second, it definitely helps him going into New Hampshire and the other states,” comments taken to mean that Republicans should “ignore” Ron Paul, according to Politico’s Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns.

Branstad’s comments represent a treasonous effort to delegitimize the veracity of his own state’s primary. There are truly no depths to which establishment stooges like Branstad will sink in order to denigrate Ron Paul’s campaign.

Far from a potential Paul victory causing “irreparable harm” to the Iowa primary, as Politico would have it, Branstad himself has already done “irreparable harm” to the sanctity of future caucuses in the state.

Branstad is not only attempting to sabotage Paul’s campaign, he is directly undermining citizens in his own state by openly declaring that their vote is worthless, even though Paul is the current frontrunner.

The Governor has indicated said that he probably won’t endorse a candidate before the Jan. 3 caucuses in Iowa.

However, in an Associated Press interview last week, Branstad said he didn’t think Newt Gingrich “has the discipline and focus to be president”.

A d v e r t i s e m e n t

If Branstad is rooting for anyone, it’s clearly Mitt Romney. Prominent Romney supporters are even trying to groom Branstad into becoming a candidate for Vice President under a Romney administration.

“1996 GOP presidential nominee Bob Dole broached the idea of Branstad as No. 2 on the ticket. Dole reportedly called Branstad this weekend to let him know he would be endorsing Mitt Romney for president, and said he’d like to recommend Iowa’s governor as a possible running mate,” reports USA Today.

Most alternative doctors have been against aspirin for a long time because it damages the stomach lining and causes kidney and liver damage. Aspirin is responsible for a significant number of emergency room visits because it causes gastrointestinal bleeding.

New studies are now showing that an aspirin a day actually increases risk of stroke and heart attack in 40 percent of the people who take it. Research is also showing that long term use of aspirin increases your risk of macular degeneration and cataracts by as much as 44 percent.

On the eve of his first official overseas trip since being diagnosed with cancer, Hugo Chávez has launched a blistering attack on Barack Obama, describing the US president as a “clown” and an “embarrassment”.

“Focus on governing your country, which you’ve turned into a disaster,” the Venezuelan president told state TV on Monday. Chávez touched down in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo, on Tuesday for a summit of Mercosur, South America’s leading trade bloc.

We can’t wake the sleeping giant. But someone, somewhere, can club it in the head. When the Empire is too big, too aggressive, too starved and internally paralyzed (vibrantly demonstrated by Katrina, thank you, Ma’am, for that performance), and it finally oversteps one border too many, China , India , and Europe will implement, shall we say, ‘corrective procedures.’

From rightly heralding the Iowa primary as a crucial indicator as to who will eventually capture the GOP nomination, the establishment has closed ranks and now decided that a Ron Paul victory doesn’t count and that the focus will be on who finishes second.

A Politico article entitled Ron Paul panic seizes Iowa establishment perfectly illustrates the supreme arrogance of the very political elite Paul is fighting against and goes a step beyond Fox News pundit Chris Wallace’s insistence that the Iowa result “won’t count” if Ron Paul wins.

Despite the fact that two out of the last three winners of the Iowa primary have gone on to successfully capture the Republican nomination, the political class have decided that Ron Paul doesn’t deserve the opportunity to build the same kind of momentum, and that a victory for him in Iowa “would do irreparable harm to the future role of the first-in-the-nation caucuses.”

So it’s not entirely surprising that Limbaugh’s anti-Paulism has seeped into his commercials, too– or at least in parody. This week, Limbaugh debuted a “pro” Rep. DAVENPORT, Iowa – Newt Gingrich saw the enemy Monday, and his name was Ron Paul.

Without speaking Paul’s name, Gingrich took dead aim at the Texas congressman who’s crept up in state polls as he’s started to tumble, and is looking increasingly likely to run strong in the caucuses.

Focusing on their foreign policy differences, Gingrich painted Paul as unprepared for the presidency and a threat to American safety.

“I will stand apart from some of our candidates and believe we need a strong defense, we need a fairly modernized intelligence community,” Gingrich said during a five-minute opening statement. “I think this is very serious stuff and I hope that every caucus-goer, before they vote on Jan. 3, would ask themselves about how dangerous the world is and whether or not we need somebody who has a background and understands that.”

Ron Paul is doing surprisingly well this year in some of the early primary state polls. There’s a simple reason for that: Most people in the conservative media have concluded he can’t win the nomination, they don’t want to get yelled at by his supporters, and so they’ve laid off of him while most of the other candidates have had to face ferocious criticism. I’d be content to ignore Paul, too, except for the fact that there’s an outside chance he could win Iowa, which is of course, perfectly ridiculous. Why is that ridiculous?

If President Obama signs the National Defense Authorization Act that is sitting on his desk, it will give him the power to arrest any American citizen and send them to Guantanamo Bay without any charges, without a trial and the imprisonment can be indefinite.

Contained in the over 1800 pages of the massive bill is a provision that gives the military the power to indefinitely detain any suspected terrorists without filing charges. Since the President is Commander in Chief of the armed forces, that provision also gives him the same powers.

The real danger lies in the government’s definition of what a suspected terrorist is.

According to Sen Rand Paul (R-KY),

“We’re talking about American citizens who can be taken from the United States and sent to a camp at Guantanamo Bay and held indefinitely. There are laws on the books right now that characterize who might be a terrorist: someone missing fingers on their hands is a suspect, according to the Department of Justice. Someone who has guns, someone who has ammunition that is weatherproofed, someone who has more than seven days of food in their house can be considered a potential terrorist. If you are suspected because of these activities, do you want the government to have the ability to send you to Guantanamo Bay for indefinite detention?”…..

On Monday’s Now with Alex Wagner, MSNBC contributor Meghan McCain was beside herself over Republican frontrunner Newt Gingrich‘s physical absence from Iowa, just weeks away from the caucuses, also expressing disgust over his comments on judicial activism. “I can’t handle it!” McCain exclaimed. “As a Republican, this is the end of the Republican Party if we nominate this man.”

McCain was responding to a report that Gingrich was staying home for the holidays, watching his wife play the French horn at a Christmas concert and noted that when her father was campaigning for President, he didn’t take a break.

“That’s the thing I can’t understand, someone on the road –you are on the road! I don’t think we spent Christmases at home. I think I spent Christmas in New Hampshire if I remember correctly,” McCain observed. “It is baffling! Everything he does, it’s like, ‘hit me again, crazy!’ I literally can’t get enough. This judge thing is my new favorite thing. It’s clearly insane. It’s out of a science fiction novel.”

When it comes to foreign affairs, Ron Paul is the most mocked of the GOP field. The argument could be made that Paul only wants to follow the Constitution. He does not believe we should fight a war unless it is declared a war by Congress. As a former military man, Paul says he wants a strong defense, but wants to bring troops back home from around the world. Paul’s philosophy on foreign affairs continues to be his biggest stumbling block with older voters and his GOP rivals. An article earlier this year in USA Today stated that Paul has the largest support in military men and women.

Mike Flynn

Yes, I’ve seen the debates. And, yes, I’ve watched the “oops” moment probably a dozen times. While he has steadily improved, Rick Perry is not a skilled debater. Seeing him debate is like watching a high-wire act, where each moment is tense with the fear that the performer could slip and fall. I get it. But, when did debate performance become our sole criteria for picking a President? When did the RNC decide to team up with the legacy media and turn the nomination contest into an almost unwatchable reality TV spectacle? Is this really a sane way to pick a nominee?

Nancy Pelosi

American Thinker ^ | December 19, 2011 | Bruce Walker

House Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi recently said that if Newt Gingrich is the Republican nominee, she will disclose what Americans do not now know about him out of confidential House Ethics Committee investigations. Newt noted that this was an ethical violation itself, which caused Pelosi to back off her earlier threat, but there is more at issue than just House Ethics Committee rules.

The House Democrat Leader may well have committed blackmail. Consider the common-law definition: “Blackmail is gaining or attempting to gain anything of value or compelling another to act against such person’s will, by threatening to communicate accusations or statements about any person that would subject such person or any other person to public ridicule, contempt or degradation.” Is not that precisely what Pelosi did?

We are accustomed to think of the related crimes of blackmail and extortion producing a monetary payoff, but that is not always the case. Not only is obtaining sex by means of threats to reveal hurtful or embarrassing information considered blackmail, but the consummation of that sexual payoff may also be rape. What must be demanded is “anything of value” or “compelling another to act against such person’s will.” Those phrases encompass much more than cash…..

WASHINGTON – With the economic crisis worsening and Barack Obama resorting to rule by executive order and the presidential election still a year away, Americans from both sides of the political aisle are wondering if there are ways to “stop the bleeding” before January 20, 2013, and a change of administration.

Could Obama be removed for violations of the Constitution?

Could he be removed for still-unresolved issues of constitutional eligibility?

What about a Democratic Party challenge to his nomination?

And is there even a way to ensure he doesn’t win re-election through voter fraud or third-party gimmickry?

“Americans aren’t just whispering about these ideas in darkened rooms,” says Joseph Farah, columnist and editor of WND, America’s independent news network. “They are actually writing thoughtful books, making documentaries and laying out prescriptions for a change in leadership. Some of these works have received ‘mainstream’ attention and some haven’t. But all of them are worth the consideration of Americans faced with the gravest challenges to liberty and self-government in the last 230 years.”…..

The US and Israel lie for war with Iran in two key areas of propaganda that you are responsible to understand if you want a US government operating UNDER the law:

Iran’s president never physically threatened Israel.

All of Iran’s nuclear material is fully accounted for peaceful and legal use for energy and medicine.

The US completely lied for its unlawful attack and invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. We now know from our own government’s disclosure of the evidence that all “reasons” for war were known lies.

Our soldiers, government employees, and citizens who operate under good faith have been duped with the above “Big Lies” that are easily proven but difficult to embrace from cognitive dissonance.

When the facts are so clear, the obvious conclusion any rational citizen must make is that the US has planned and is considering a false flag attack to use a dirty or nuclear bomb, blame Iran, and finalize their Middle East tyrannical policy of domination.

The solution is to arrest and prosecute the obvious criminals in areas of war policy and corporate media that lie in provable commission and omission to continue US CRIMINAL wars.

A new survey conducted by Public Policy Polling shows that Ron Paul now leads in Iowa just two weeks ahead of the crucial Republican primary, while Newt Gingrich’s campaign is in free fall.

New Poll: Ron Paul Leads In Iowa, Gingrich Imploding ron paul

“Newt Gingrich’s campaign is rapidly imploding, and Ron Paul has now taken the lead in Iowa. He’s at 23% to 20% for Mitt Romney, 14% for Gingrich, 10% each for Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann, and Rick Perry, 4% for Jon Huntsman, and 2% for Gary Johnson,” reports PPP.

Support for Gingrich has dropped from to 27% to 14% in just two weeks.

The figures illustrate how Gingrich is likely to fade into the distance before the crucial primary takes place on January 3rd. The numbers also show that Paul’s fiercest rival is clearly Romney, meaning all energies should be directed to pointing out that, like Gingrich, Romney is a big government RINO Republican who supported a system almost identical to Obamacare.

Paul’s supporters describe themselves as more “solidly committed” than Romney’s, at 73% to 68%.

Paul’s aggressive work in Iowa has impressed voters, with 22 per cent believing he’s run the best campaign in the state, compared to just 8% for Gingrich and 5% for Romney.

Right now the congressman from Texas is tied in first place in the polls, after a long, slow, but steady climb.

Meanwhile Newt Gingrich’s spotlight seems to be fading, while Romney’s front-runner position remains shaky. This puts Paul in the unique position of surging in the polls just in the nick of time. If he can break that voter ceiling he might be able to win in Iowa, possibly pushing him into front-runner status across the country, especially if Huntsman hurts Romney and Gingrich in New Hampshire.

A Paul win in Iowa and a Huntsman win in New Hampshire would throw this race into chaos – but a particularly good brand of chaos. Huntsman has been trailing badly for the duration of the race so far, and Paul has been laughed off by much of the press and the conservative intelligentsia.

Documents obtained by Salt Lake City attorney Jesse Trentadue in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit show then Clinton Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder authorized members of the FBI to provide explosives to Oklahoma City bombing criminals Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols immediately prior to the April, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah building.

Holder had authorized the FBI to provide the explosives to McVeigh and Nichols in conjunction with a Clinton Administration undercover operation named PATCON, an acronym for “Patriot Conspiracy.” As Jesse Trentadue describes it, “PATCON was designed to infiltrate and incite… militia[s] and evangelical Christians to violence so that the Department of Justice could crush them.”

Both Waco and Ruby Ridge are now known to have been PATCON inspired, Department of Justice plots. Shortly after the Oklahoma City bombing, Holder instructed FBI agents to recover from Terry Nichols any remainder of the explosives the Bureau had provided him and McVeigh.

The principled, antiwar, Constitution-obeying, Fed-hating, libertarian Republican congressman from Texas stands firmly outside the bounds of permissible dissent as drawn by either the Republican establishment or the mainstream media. (Disclosure: Paul wrote the foreword to my 2009 book.)

An old adage reads, “If it quacks like a duck, then it’s probably a duck.” The push by the Obama Administration to progressively strip Americans of basic liberties in the pursuit of political objectives has now taken on more draconian overtones, and no one seems to have noticed.

While the media quibbles over Romney versus Gingrich, the Occupy movement, and other diversions, President Obama continues to undermine law and order, dismantling the US Constitution piece by piece. When public officials seek to limit freedom, it can be concluded that these officials want to rule instead of govern. Cloaking seizures of power in clever misnomers does not validate the abuse of public office. What else can we conclude when Obama claims the illegal power to assassinate citizens at his whim? If citizen assassination were the only example of executive malfeasance emanating from Washington, Americans could breathe easier, except that citizen assassination, e.g. Awlaki, has opened the floodgates for a barrage of new power seizures. The ground softened, the first brick laid, Obama can now proceed unchallenged.

As I warned repeatedly in multiple articles over the last two years, the machinery put in place to thwart Islamic terrorism could be turned against citizens for political purposes, due to the broad constructions used in terror definitions. Only no one could have imagined the speed at which these things would come to pass:

WAS GENERAL PATTON MURDERED? ~ “…At the end of the war Patton was in fact the highest ranking officer in the US Military. In peacetime the Armed Forces would fall under the authority of Patton…”

Rank: Eisenhower had outranked Patton during war, having been appointed Supreme Commander. At the end of the war Patton was in fact the highest ranking officer in the US Military. In peacetime the Armed Forces would fall under the authority of Patton.

WHAT WOULD PATTON SAY?

Eisenhower didn’t relish having Patton giving him orders. There was widespread talk at home of Patton for President. This was bad news for the Democrats, because they had no comparable opponent. It was not good news for the Republicans though, because Patton was considered too stubborn and iron-willed to take orders from Wall Street and professional politicians. Thus, many factions viewed Patton as a threat.”

Ron Paul (R-TX), a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, launched his “Tea Party” money bomb Friday with the goal of raising $4 million to fund campaign activities in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. Mr. Paul has pulled in more than 3,600,000 in cash.

Mr. Paul and his 2012 Campaign Manager John Tate encouraged supporters to donate to the Paul campaign in separate emails Friday.

“Whenever the political establishment can’t win an argument, they resort to outright smears and fear tactics. But I think they’re just scared of us finally taking our country back from their reckless policies,” Mr. Paul said in an email to supporters Friday.

“And we can’t forget that the national media and my opponents are now shifting strategy from ignoring my campaign to launching attack after attack,” Mr. Paul wrote.

Prison Planet.com » Indefinite Detention: Political Washington Abolishes Due Process Protections

December 18, 2011 3 comments

Main Street Europe and America face protracted Depression conditions. As a result, millions lost jobs, homes, incomes, and futures.

Human misery is growing. So is public anger. Rage across America and Europe reflect it. Gerald Celente explains the stakes, saying:

“When people lose everything and have nothing else to lose, they lose it.”

Draconian police state provisions were enacted to contain them. Hundreds of secret Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) camps may hold them. Martial law may authorize it, claiming “catastrophic emergency” conditions. Senators blew their cover calling America a “battleground.”

During WW II, loyal Japanese Americans were lawlessly detained. Today, social justice protesters and others wanting change are at risk. Political Washington’s targeting them to assure business as usual continues. Obama’s fully on board.

On December 14, the House passed the FY 2012 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). On December 15, the Senate followed suit – ironically on Bill of Rights Day.

Obama will sign it into law. The measure ends constitutional protections for everyone, including US citizens. Specifically it targets due process and law enforcement powers.

Now more than ever, “we the people” must steel ourselves against this immense corporate-fascist empire as it sprawls death, destruction, and domination, militarily and economically, across the planet. We must, our very survival depends on it, boycott and replace entirely the corporate-financier interests that drive this dark, expansive agenda. It has been literally spawned of our apathy, complicity, and ignorance, fueled by us – the very source of corporate fascism’s power – and it must be our activism, resistance, and intellect that brings it to an end.

Stand With Arizona

Prominent Congressman Rep. Steve King (R-IA) is defending Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio against Justice Department charges of committing “civil rights violations” against Latinos in Maricopa County.

Thomas Perez, head of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division – and a former board member of Hispanic hate group CASA de Maryland, unexpectedly released the report on December 15. Some observers, including Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, believe the sudden release of results of the 3+ year investigation was timed to distract from the one-year anniversary of the murder of Border Agent Brian Terry, for which Eric Holder‘s DOJ was directly culpable, through their disastrous ‘Operation Fast and Furious’. 57 Congressional Representatives and one senator have called for Holder’s resignation over the bloody debacle.

King rejected allegations that Arpaio has been engaged in racial profiling and carrying out strong-handed patrols along the Arizona border aimed at stopping illegal immigrants. “I’ve been to visit his operation,” King says in the video, adding: “There is not a profiling operation that I can see.”

King characterized the Justice Department allegations as “a political agenda that’s working against a man who stands up for the law.”

The Empire Strikes Back… Against Ordinary Americans, Constitutionally-Protected Protesters and the Rule of Law

Joining the Dark Side: Darth Vaders Stranglehold on America obama+change+death+starWould it be taken as parody to openly state that the United States has moved away from its Constitution, and the hope that its concept of freedom would be a light upon the world, and instead shifted towards ‘The Dark Side’– that is, the kind of evil empire portrayed in Star Wars? The language authorizing the indefinite detention of American citizens without trial under the sections 1031 & 1032 of the 2012 Defense Authorization Act take America many steps towards that fictional but importantly symbolic Empire– it too a broken and corrupted Republic.

But it is much more than the naked tyranny demonstrated under NDAA. It is the direction towards paradoxical control by the State, sold psychologically in Orwellian terms. Preemptive strikes define the atmosphere of lawlessness and paranoia that has painted in succession terrorists, rogue states, patriots and homeland dissidents as threats that must be dealt without outside the framework of due process and the rights explicitly stated under the Bill of Rights.

THE DARK SIDE, BORN ON 9/11

Joining the Dark Side: Darth Vaders Stranglehold on America leno cheney vaderSomehow victory in the War on Terror was successfully accepted under a definition that saw constitutional protections under the Fourth Amendment, preventing warrantless checkpoints and guarding privacy, as a barrier to stopping the bad guys under due diligence. This same attitude, coaxed under the manufactured fears from 9/11, helped to stifle, but not stop, free speech and encouraged legislation and administrative policies that disregard (and even spit upon) many of the Bill of Rights– from warrantless wiretapping, to policies on torture and legal-roundabouts turning definitions like waterboarding, spying, searches, enemy combatant status, lawful detention & imprisonment, “war” and many other important concepts upside down, all with legal ramifications. And it’s no wonder why, as the president during this era had referred to the Constitution as ‘just a goddamned piece of paper.’

Lately, about once or twice a day, I receive an email from a well-meaning correspondent asking whether the late black nationalist Malcolm X was, in fact, the natural father of President Barack Obama.

The question is not as outlandish as it sounds: The falsification of Obama’s official bio makes speculation on his origins almost inevitable.

The Malcolm-as-father proponent usually begins with photos of Malcolm and Obama. (Yes, they do look vaguely alike.) He then builds a case by adding any random detail that might support his thesis and ignoring those that don’t. The latter category includes just about everything known about Malcolm X’s character and history.

In1960 Malcolm X was the least likely black man in America to have impregnated Ann Dunham, Obama’s mom, then a mousy white adolescent in Washington state or Hawaii or wherever.

Beyond the logistical problems – Ann, are you sure America’s most prominent black nationalist will feel comfortable at your lily white prom? – Malcolm was bound by several restraints, both philosophical and personal.

For one, while a member of the Nation of Islam (NOI), the married Malcolm opposed adultery. He did so with such conviction that it would ultimately cost him his life.

In 1962, the year after Obama’s birth, Malcolm learned that two of the former secretaries of Elijah Muhammad, his spiritual leader in the NOI, had sued the old geezer for child support.

The USA was not immune to these impulses. Perhaps the territorial designs and war with Mexico (1846-48) was a harbinger of things to come. Yet that seemed more like a classic land-grab than a centralizing power-grab.

But there was restlessness in the Northern states. The growing Northeastern materialist establishment began to cast their eyes on the government in Washington. The antiquated relic of Jacobite idealism would not bend to their wishes and impress the will of the few upon the whole country. Supported in the South the power balance and decentralized structure of the Constitution promised integrity for the individual while it bridled government control. The North chaffed under the Constitution. This out of kilter situation was doomed.

Benjamin Disraeli

With a close eye on Europe, adoration for the French Revolution, and the acceptance of Karl Marx into the pantheon of intellectuals the establishment in the North was aware which way the wind was blowing. In the 1800’s the heroes of modern Europe were centralizers, colonizers, and empire builders; led by strongmen like Benjamin Disraeli, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Bismarck. These trends were known to the Yankee powerbrokers who did not want to be left behind.

The only thing that stood in their way was the South. From the swamps of Florida to the Ozarks of Missouri the vast geography harbored “archaic” notions of governance. In the same way that Prussia coveted Bavaria and Austria the Yankees craved the South and its wealth.

In colonial times Christmas was frowned upon in New England and observed mostly as a private feast in mid-Atlantic and Southern colonies. The strait-laced New England Puritans, partially motivated by anti-Catholic sentiment, banned Christmas in 1659 under the guise that the holiday was pagan and that it encouraged decadence. Colonial Americans celebrated a Christmas that contained both religious and secular elements thus establishing a uniquely balanced American approach to faith. Christmas harkens back to the ancient Roman celebration of the Saturnalia, a day in which all Romans, Emperor and slave, addressed each other on a first name basis.

In the Year 1839, John Quincy Adams, son of John Adams, and himself a President of the United States, was invited by the New York Historical Society to speak on the 50th Anniversary under the Constitution. His extensive “Jubilee” Address can be read here. The following relatively short review of the history he summarized in the final portion of his Address is excerpted here:

The President himself is no more than a representative of public opinion at the time of his election; and as public opinion is subject to great and frequent fluctuations, he must accommodate his policy to them; or the people will speedily give him a successor; or either House of Congress will effectually control his power. It is thus, and in no other sense that the Constitution of the United States is democratic – for the government of our country, instead of a Democracy the most simple, is the most complicated government on the face of the globe. From the immense extent of our territory, the difference of manners, habits, opinions, and above all, the clashing interests of the North, South, East, and West, public opinion formed by the combination of numerous aggregates, becomes itself a problem of compound arithmetic, which nothing but the result of the popular elections can solve.

It has been my purpose, Fellow-Citizens, in this discourse to show:-

Doomed from the Start: The Myth of Limited Constitutional Government in America by Thomas DiLorenzo

December 17, 2011 5 comments

After spending a lifetime in politics John C. Calhoun (U.S. Senator, Vice President of the United States, Secretary of War) wrote his brilliant treatise, A Disquisition on Government, which was published posthumously shortly after his death in 1850.

Thomas DiLorenzo, Illinois 2

In it Calhoun warned that it is an error to believe that a written constitution alone is “sufficient, of itself, without the aid of any organism except such as is necessary to separate its several departments, and render them independent of each other to counteract the tendency of the numerical majority to oppression and abuse of power” (p. 26). The separation of powers is fine as far as it goes, in other words, but it would never be a sufficient defense against governmental tyranny, said Calhoun.
