The Daily Bell – Finis America: Year End Report 2011

December 17, 2011 Leave a comment

It’s over, and I mean all of it. If Obama is re-elected, America is doomed. The progressive process begun by President Wilson and then carried forward by FDR, Carter, Clinton and W. Bush will be institutionalized with Obama’s second term and the republic will die. Leading up to this has been a long line of Republocrat progressives, i.e., socialists in disguise – people like Senator McCain (R, AZ). I know many will not believe me so let me tell you how I came to this horrific conclusion.

So naturally, the notion’s garnering plaudits from those perverted morons at the Department of Homeland Security [sic].

Plain and Simple: DNC Wants Voter Fraud

Like most people, recently I’ve been asked to present photo identification on a number of occasions without regard to my race, religion, or national origin. The majority of the requests I’ve received have come in circumstances many would consider more or less routine: checking in for a flight and passing through airport security; registering as a guest at a hotel; using a credit card when purchasing something more expensive than a meal or tank of gas; and buying over-the-counter medications. In addition, I was required to show photo identification while visiting the Department of Justice here in Washington.

In the last few weeks, however, my experiences in this regard have been of another sort entirely. On November 17, very much to my surprise, I had a medical emergency. The excellent physicians who treated me prescribed a battery of tests and evaluations by a number of specialists, with whom I had a series of appointments and office visits.

As part of the auction item, Carlson, of Fox News and The Daily Caller, will have dinner with the former college professor who has written about helping with bombings at the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon and other government sites.

When John Bolton was asked the question of what he thought was the greatest misconception that Democrats have about Republicans, I honestly didn’t expect such a brilliantly deep answer. I guess I’ve gotten used to fluff. But Bolton hit it out of the park and I just had to start the day with it:

“The core misimpression is that a fundamental belief in liberty and it’s implications is somehow cruel and uncaring. When in fact, liberty is absolutely central to the most massive economic change in the history of the world that has brought more concrete material advantages to people in the last few hundred years than in millennia before that. And that understanding liberty means you have to value the possibility of failure as well as the possibility of success. Because if you don’t have failure as an option, you’ll never have success as an option.

Ron Paul in a Landslide?

Before anyone gets their knickers in a knot, let me hasten to say that the headline for this article is in reference to a “USA Today” poll that I took recently—and yes, Ron Paul did indeed win my poll in a landslide. The results took me by surprise. Link

The online poll weighed your answers to various questions against the answers given by the different 2012 Presidential candidates and tabulated the results.

The results of my poll looked something like this:

1. Paul (just under 70% agreement)

2. Bachmann (just under 50%)

3. Gingrich (just under 49%)

4, 5, and 6. Santorum, Perry, Huntsman—in that order (all close – around 45%)

7. Romney

8.Obama

As you can see, Ron Paul did not win my poll in a “squeaker”—he won it walking away. This left me to wonder if I should take a more in-depth look at the Ron Paul candidacy, nay-saying pundits notwithstanding. Link Link

Drones over Iran? Maybe not « Coach is Right

December 17, 2011 Leave a comment

Why Use Drones?

Drones are extremely effective by maintaining a “persistent observation” of targets. By remaining over an Iranian nuclear weapons complex the drones can observe daily operations over a long period of time providing analysts insight to routine operations and daily traffic of materials entering and leaving the targeted nuclear facilities. It has the ability to monitor and track vehicles going to other locations and possibly exposing additional nuclear weapon related facilities. Such information allows mission planners necessary intelligence as to when to strike identified targets in order to shut down any future nuclear weapon development if so ordered by the president.

Unlimited Military Detention of Americans To Become Law: To Hell With Freedom! by Gary D. Barnett

December 17, 2011 1 comment

I recently wrote an article about this atrocious piece of legislation, (S-1867) but at that time, it had not made it through the House of Representatives, and Obama had pledged to veto it upon its arrival to his desk. It is no surprise that the dishonest Obama lied again, but it is telling that both the House of Representatives and the Senate passed this overwhelmingly. These are the same “representatives” that most of the lemmings in this country believe protect their interests, but the opposite of course is the case.

It is difficult to put into words just how absolutely obnoxious this anti-freedom monstrosity is, and it is even more difficult to imagine the future consequences of this heinous law. How on earth can this be allowed to happen? If this stands, we can openly admit that we are now in an executive dictatorship.

When any American can be “legally” apprehended by the military, held indefinitely without the benefit of any due process, be shipped off to hidden prisons or concentration camps, and tortured or worse, what have we become? What have the people become when they sit idly by and let this go forward without complete and total resistance? They have become slaves to the state, and they have become slaves voluntarily!

There are many attempting to refute the fact that the military has the authorization to indefinitely hold American citizens, but it is very clear that under this piece of legislation, the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, the military can do just that. While the bill is filled with many deplorable aspects, mostly ignored I might add, the detention language is clear. Glenn Greenwald of Salon explains the myths concerning the detention portion of this bill in his brilliant article: “Three myths about the detention bill.”…..

KAILUA, OAHU – The U.S. Secret Service has arrived, street barricades are in place, and the U.S. Coast Guard has stationed itself in the waters surrounding Kailua, Oahu. That is a sure sign President Barack Obama’s security team is preparing for the first family to arrive in the small beachside community as early as Friday night for what is expected to be a 17-day vacation.

The President and his family are traveling separately to Hawaii because he wants resolve the payroll tax cut issue before leaving Washington – and his wife does not want to wait.

But the advanced trip and the cost that comes with it – as much as $100,000 (flight and security) – adds to an already expensive vacation for the taxpayers.

Hawaii Reporter research shows the total cost for the President’s visit for taxpayers far exceeded $1.5 million in 2010 – but is even more costly this year because he extended his vacation by three days and the cost for Air Force One travel has jumped since last assessed in 2000. In addition, Hawaii Reporter was able to obtain more specifics about the executive expenditures.

The total cost (based on what is known) for the 17-day vacation roundtrip vacation to Hawaii for the President, his family and staff has climbed to more than $4 million. Here’s why.

TRAVEL: $3,651,626

The biggest expense is President Barack Obama’s round trip flight to Hawaii via Air Force One, a cost the GAO office estimated at $1 million in the year 2000. Contacted today, the GAO confirmed there is no report the independent office affiliated with Congress has prepared since 2000…

The National Transportation Safety Board wants a complete ban on cellphone use while driving, even on hands-free calls. Some will protest this as yet another government encroachment on freedom, but we should think twice before rocking the boat here.

After all, have you considered how lucky we are that the government lets us drive cars at all?

Imagine if cars hadn’t been around for a century, but instead were just invented today. Is there any way they’d be approved for individual use? It’s an era of bans on incandescent bulbs; if you suggested putting millions of internal-combustion engines out there, you’d get looks like you were Hitler proposing the Final Solution.

Even aside from pollution, the government wouldn’t allow the risks to safety.

“So you’re proposing that people speed around in tons of metal? You must mean only really smart, well-trained people?”

“No. Everyone. Even stupid people.”

“Won’t millions be killed?”

Rick Perry shrugged off his fellow southern state governor, South Carolina’s Nikki Haley, deciding to back rival Mitt Romney, in an interview with CNN’s John King.

“That’s one vote, I’ll be real honest with you, I’ve got a medal of honor recipient Jim Livingston, who endorsed me on the deck of the Yorktown last week, and you know, no offense but I like those guys that have that type of long-time record of endorsements,” said Perry, according to POLITICO’s Emily Schultheis. “I greatly respect Gov. Haley, but if I had to pick between the two, love having those veterans stand up and say this is the guy, this is the man for the job.”

Perry also again dinged Ron Paul for suggesting that there is no real evidence Iran is moving to acquire nukes, saying, “There should be no space between the United States and Israel, and I was just really taken aback by Ron Paul’s almost nonchalant statement about, you know, let the mullahs go, there’s not any evidence that they’re getting a bomb. That’s certainly not my information, I’m relying on some pretty wise and plugged-in people – I talk to John Bolton on a regular basis and the ambassador is greatly concerned about Iran.”

BY THE ENEMY AMONG US

by Doretta Wildes, blogging at Doretta Wildes, ©2011

(Dec. 16, 2011) — Past a certain age, treachery loses its sting. The spouse who cheats on you, the friend who stabs you in the back, the colleague who claims credit for your work–all seem so ordinary in the world we live in, that crying over such matters becomes hyperbole.

But today’s treachery, the passage of the NDAA, the “indefinite detention act,” calls for extended mourning and a funeral. It signifies the formal end of freedom in our country, the blatant but largely ignored murder of the US Constitution by the traitors (our senators and congressmen and president) who serve the vampires (the banking and corporate elite).

Over at Conservatives Network a piece is up stating that, contrary to Ron Paul’s shimmying on the issue, the site has clear proof the newsletters were written by Ron Paul himself. The site has photographic evidence and notes frequent first-person references by the writer to a potential presidential run and so on. Is this revelation to Ron Paul what the Nixon secret tapes were to Richard Nixon’s presidency? A smoking gun that fatally wounds a candidacy as the revelation of the Nixon smoking gun tapes ended a presidency? Stay tuned.

Yes, he’s still governor. He’s “retired” only for benefits purposes, which means he can start collecting his pension while he’s still collecting a salary. It’s perfectly legal. Just … unhelpful.

Perry makes a $150,000 annual gross salary as Texas govenor. Now, thanks to his early retirement, Perry, 61, gets a monthly retirement annuity of $7,698 before taxes, or $6,588 net. That raises his gross annual salary to more than $240,000…

[T]he disclosure is sure to spark criticism of Perry, who has called for sweeping changes to Social Security for average workers and has railed against special “perks” that members of Congress get.

“Perry was legally able to begin collecting the employee class annuity under the ‘rule of 80.’ The combination of his U.S. military service, state service and age exceeded 80 years and qualifies him for the annuity under Texas Government Code 813.503 as amended in 1991,” Sullivan said. “Perry continues to pay into the Employees Retirement System with a 6.5 percent withholding from his state salary.”…

He further affirmed that his office will proceed with the Cold Case Posse investigation into the authenticity of Barack Obama’s birth certificate and his eligibility to be president, which is scheduled to release preliminary findings in February.

That’s a first in the poll’s Obama-tracking history.

Bill Burr recently did a short interview with CNN where he describes why he likes Ron Paul and talks about his decent into the rabbit hole. He humorously describes his attempts at prepping and his conclusions about the Federal Reserve bank. Huffington Post somewhat apologizes for his comments by basically saying, “don’t worry, he’s not crazy.”

He makes a poignant description of Paul when he says, “We’ve got guys like Ron Paul who actually say what everybody says in bars,” when it comes to corporate and banking corruption. The belief that he will not win the election, is not a good reason to pass up a vote “for a guy like that,” he said.

Bill Burr is one of a growing group of celebrities who appreciates Ron Paul’s principles, including Vince Vaughn and Barry Manilow. Fellow cynical comedian Doug Stanhope — an outspoken Libertarian — is also endorsing Ron Paul for the 2012 election.

The Ron Paul 2012 campaign is throwing itself behind a grass roots organized fundraising drive today, encouraging supporters to donate to reach a total of $4 million in one day.

On this day exactly four years ago, Paul set a new all time record for fundraising by drawing more than $6.4 million in a 24 hour period.

Owing to the banker induced financial implosion, the campaign does not realistically expect to break that record this time around, yet it is still aiming high.

The 2007 “money bomb” was held to mark the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in 1773, and has widely been acknowledged as the inception of what was to become more popularly known as the Tea Party movement.

The Paul campaign distributed an email last night calling for supporters to embrace and spread the word regarding today’s Tea Party money bomb. The campaign says it will use the funds to pay for further ad buys and a last big promotional push before the Iowa caucus on January 3 and the New Hampshire primary on January 10.

Republican Tea Party Diva Bachmann Attacks Ron Paul on Iran During Iowa Debate 1a3a2111 4846 4cf7 8a46 751898f21509 big

Since announcing her presidential run, the establishment media has portrayed Minnesota Republican Michele Bachmann as the Tea Party’s candidate. The Tea Party is supposed to be at its heart about the Constitution and the political philosophy of the founders, including George Washington’s admonition about foreign entanglements.

The original political cosmology of the Tea Party was lost when it was cynically exploited by Republican operatives. The Tea Party was retooled as a cheering section for the establishment. Bachmann, as the leader of the House’s Tea Party Caucus, played an instrumental role in neutering it.

On Thursday, Bachmann sparred with Ron Paul, who was instrumental in the creation of the original libertarian Tea Party before it was sold down the river to the waiting arms of Bachmann and the Koch Republicans.

During a Fox News debate in Iowa last night, Ron Paul said the United States has no legitimate claim to block Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Bachmann, revealing her true neocon colors, said his position is dangerous.

Bachmann said Iran is led by “an avowed madman” and committed to destroying Israel. She says Iran must be stopped. She diligently followed her neocon generated script to the letter and ignorantly repeated assertions about Iran that are not supported by reality but are in fact propaganda lies.

1. Paul’s intellectual mentor Murray Rothbard was the founder of anarcho-capitalism and opposed the legitimacy of all nation-states, including ours.

2. Paul openly proclaims himself a revival of the Old Right, the movement which opposed our entry in World War II. He and his followers proudly reject the New Right tradition established by William F. Buckley Jr., Ronald Reagan, and Barry Goldwater.

WASHINGTON, DC, December 15, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Reports that President Obama is poised to sign a controversial Defense Authorization Act that includes a provision allowing the indefinite detention of suspected terrorists has come as unwelcome news to many political activists, including pro-lifers.

While the language of the bill specifically targets those with suspected ties to Al Qaeda or the 9/11 attacks, Sen. Rand Paul, an opponent of the law, pointed out in a speech on the Senate floor that existing federal policies define terrorist suspects so broadly as to invite the arbitrary targeting of innocent American civilians.

Clearly Senator Obama, and later Candidate Obama, made it abundantly clear that the indefinite detention of detainees at Guantanamo Bay without the due process of a trial is wrong on all grounds – legal, ethical, and moral. He even goes as far as to say that it works against us in our war on terror.

Now, let’s compare that to what has just happened recently…

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) has been sent to Obama who has said that he will sign it into law. Now, pay attention, this is the part of the law that should frighten all Americans

We’ve largely ignored the not-so-great payroll tax debate on the assumption that it would pass in any case and won’t matter much to the economy. But now things are getting interesting: If Republicans hang tough, they might even get a useful policy victory in return for giving President Obama his political fillip.

Keep in mind that the payroll tax “cut” is nothing more than a tax holiday. All the political palaver is about extending it for one more year, through 2012, so Mr. Obama can claim he did something for middle-class voters before Election Day. Because it is temporary, the tax holiday will do little to change employer incentives to hire.

The best one can say for the payroll reprieve is that individuals will better spend the money than the government would. The problem is that government will keep spending anyway, borrowing the money instead. The one-year payroll extension will take something like $121 billion from Social Security revenues, which means about 10% to 15% of the entire federal budget deficit expected for this fiscal year

HAS FREEDOM DIED?

by 82ndSgt, blogging at The Right Planet, ©2011

(Dec. 16, 2011) — Two things happened recently that got little or no attention in the 24-hour news cycle, and for good reason. These things might seem at first glance to be totally unrelated, but when you look at them in the larger scheme of things they could be absolutely chilling. The focus of my recent op-ed’s has been an attempt to assemble a puzzle or mosaic, and these last two pieces bring the picture into startling clarity.

Just over a month ago Obama was threatening to veto legislation called “The National Defense Authorization Act FY2012 over wording in Section 1032 which effectively gives “authorities” the right to detain and torture American citizens indefinitely, just like those Al Qaeda members in Guantanamo. As Congressman Ron Paul warns,” this should be the biggest news going right now“, and he said the legislation would allow for “literally legalizing martial law“. Paul further warns that,” This step where they can literally detain American citizens and put them away without trial is arrogant, bold and dangerous”.

The White House opposed the legislation until, as Senator Carl Levin told lawmakers, “the administration asked us to remove the language which says that U.S. citizens and lawful residents would not be subject to this section’.

Let me run that by you again. The administration actually asked that language be removed which would exempt U.S citizens and lawful residents from this legislation. Are you kidding me?

China Gets Revenge On Obama With Tariff On U.S. Autos

Forbes ^ | 12/15/2011 | Kenneth Rapoza

Posted on Friday, December 16, 2011 10:33:02 AM by Qbert

President Barack Obama hit China automobile tire makers with a trade tariff in 2009 and now Beijing has struck back with a potentially more punitive tariff, as much as a 21% tax hike on U.S. car exports bound for China, the world’s largest auto market.

This week, the Chinese government upped the ante in the Obama-China trade dispute by surprisingly imposing new tariffs on imports of Honda and Cadillac models, Chrysler Jeep Grand Cherokee, the BMW X5 and X3 and Mercedes Benz models made in Michigan, Alabama and South Carolina. China argues that the U.S. provided illegal subsidies to these companies during the economic downturn in 2008 and is selling those vehicles cheaper in China than they are sold for in the U.S.

The U.S. exports around $92 billion worth of goods to China and cars account for around $4 billion of that. The tariffs, which range from just 2% to as much as 21.5% could impact $2.5 billion worth of American auto exports, according to preliminary estimates by the U.S-China Business Council, a Washington lobby.

Preparing for martial law…

December 16, 2011 3 comments

Was the timing merely serendipitous or is something else at play? Yesterday was the “birthday” of the United States Bill of Rights, which our forefathers ratified exactly 220 years ago. The same people who believe the constitution is a living, breathing document just put it on a respirator, metaphorically speaking, by passing the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 (NDAA). Obama has declared his intent to sign the legislation, despite initial indications from the White House of a veto (more on that dog and pony show later in this writing).

NDAA: The 2012 version

Every year, a new version of the defense authorization bill is crafted and ultimately enacted into law. It is an extensive piece of legislation that appropriates funds to defense projects. The current bill provides for a $662 billion defense budget and places the chief of the National Guard Bureau on the Joint Chiefs of Staff despite strong opposition of some military leaders. The massive budget allocation and the creation of a cabinet position for the chief of the U.S. National Guard is not at issue, however. The somewhat muted public frenzy over this bill stems from controversial and seemingly contradictory language that will have an impact on all United States citizens.

The schoolboy version of the American system of government centers on the three-branch structure of the Federal Government established by the ratification of the Constitution in 1788. Integral to that structure are a system of checks and balances among those three branches and the division of powers between the Federal Government and the states. The Tenth Amendment makes that federalism principle explicit.

The dirty little secrets, however, are that the division of powers disappeared long ago, and the checks and balances do not work. Instead of a decentralized, republican system in which the Federal Government bears responsibility for only a few issues, then, Americans now groan under an unlimited central government whose taxing, spending, borrowing, and printing seemingly know no limits either of law or of sense.

The article says “Robert Zoellick [of the World Bank] favors gold money just like Ron Paul.” This is laughable. Just because someone utters the word “gold” does not mean he favors the classical gold standard, or indeed any kind of gold standard. What Zoellick said was, “The system should also consider employing gold as an international reference point of market expectations about inflation, deflation and future currency values.”

Bomb technicians and state investigators were called to the scene and determined the object was a non-explosive device.

The fire marshal’s office said Taylor was later arrested on the 13000 block of Ritchie Road.

If you don’t believe Crichton was right, consider this. Our smartphones collate and spit out our diet of fast-news, while Twitter’s 140 characters provide much of our analysis. One of the odd things I hear about from time to time from many of my libertarian colleagues and friends is their perception that Texas Republican Ron Paul is a rare model of purity in a political pigsty.

I have many issues of agreement with Paul, particularly on health policy, and I’ve defended him publicly in the past on many of his calls for government reform. But this perception of Paul as a principled crusader who serves only the Constitution is at odds with his wholehearted embrace of typical pork-barrel politics – a difference which is all the more stark in the wake of House Republicans’ voluntary ban on earmarks last year. The record on this is available to the public, but it attracts scant attention.

Paul made over $157 million in earmark requests for FY 2011, one of only four House Republicans to request any earmarks. Additionally, he made over $398 million in earmark requests for FY 2010, again one of the leading Republican House members. These earmark requests include:

Political blogger Andrew Sullivan has made an endorsement among this year’s ever-thinning field crop of GOP presidential contenders, and it’s none other than Ron Paul.

On his Daily Beast blog “The Dish,” Sullivan writes that, initially, he had his eye on Jon Huntsman, praising for the former governor of Utah’s tax reform proposals and his experience with foreign relations (particularly where China is concerned, as well as his level-headed approach and — as Sullivan puts it — his “conservative position” when it comes to global warming. However, Sullivan has been less than enthused with what he describes as Huntsman’s “mediocre campaign” and apparent inability to connect with voters on a widespread level.

Sullivan is also sure to note that he does not support many of Paul’s “nuttier policy proposals,” adding that the candidate has “had associations in the past that are creepy when not downright ugly.” That said, he believes Paul is a candidate of principle, as well as one who remains consistent and genuine:

Establishment media attacks Paul after confrontation with Bachmann

Ron Paul, member of the United States House of...

Friday, December 16, 2011

Following Ron Paul’s clash with Michele Bachmann over foreign policy during last night’s Republican debate in Iowa, the establishment media characterized Paul’s views as an “outburst” that could cost him votes, when in reality the majority of Republican voters now want U.S. troops brought home, troops who themselves support Paul over every other GOP candidate.

Ron Paul has has received more money in donations from active duty military personnel than all of the other Republican candidates combined and more than Barack Obama himself.

“Paul’s military-connected contributions for the three months more than double such contributions to all the other Republican presidential candidates—and they also exceed Obama’s,” confirms Politifact.

In the three months from April through June, Paul received “more than $25,000 from individuals who listed their employer as a branch of the military” (the campaign itself puts the figure closer to $35,000). In comparison, Michele Bachmann received just $2,250.

“We know without a shadow of a doubt that Iran will take a nuclear weapon. They will use it to wipe our friend Israel off the map, and they would use it against the United States of America,” said Bachmann during last night’s debate, presumably unaware of the fact that Israel has as many as 400 nuclear weapons, backed by the United States which maintains an arsenal of 5,113 warheads, and could turn Iran into a parking lot overnight.

Bachmann then labeled Paul’s refusal to back an unconstitutional pre-emptive strike on Iran as “dangerous for American security”.

Although President Barack Obama had originally insisted that he would veto the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013, Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin revealed recently that the bill in its current wording was drafted after the current administration asked for changes.

Already making its way through the House and Senate, the Act in its current wording will allow for Americans suspected of any “belligerent” act to be detained in Guantanamo Bay-style military prisons indefinitely for any alleged crimes without trial. With it now being revealed that the president put forth suggestions to draft the latest version of the legislation, Levin told the press Monday night, “I just can’t imagine that the president would veto this bill.”

“I very strongly believe this should satisfy the administration and hope it will,” added Levin.

The End is Near 2012 National Defense Authorization Act

Armstrong Economics ^ | December 11, 2011 | Martin Armstrong

I am almost without words. Anyone who is against this new 2012 National Defense Authorization Act is being called a “traitor” as is the case with Senator Marco Rubio of Florida. The provisions of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, approved by the Senate last week, will allow the military to arrest terrorist suspects in the United States and detain them indefinitely without trial. But the definition of terrorist is anyone who disagrees with government. It might be safer in prison than out here right now.

This is strangely timed with the economic meltdown and if there are widespread bank failures, there will now be troops and tanks out on American streets. No standing army could ever conquer the United States. Yet with 19 guys and a camel, we have lost everything. The sheer intensity of this debate from both sides centers on how this new law will affect US citizens. This is just nuts. Britain endured IRA terrorist attacks. I cannot recall how many times I had to evacuate a building in London because of some threat. But the British did not surrender all their rights as Americans have done. Tea Party – you blew this one!

Wayne Madsen has learned from his contacts within the Beltway intelligence community that Jared Lee Loughner is an “MK-ULTRA” programmed assassin and that US District Judge John Roll and Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords were targetted for assassination.

The reason for the decision to target Judge Roll and Congresswoman Giffords has to do with their knowledge of the malicious and purposeful arming of Mexican drug gangs along the US-Mexico border by US intelligence agency assets in an effort designed to destablize the Mexican government.

This towards the end of making Mexico more dependent on US military aid and protection from its private security contractors.

A key quote from Wayne Madsen’s report follows:

(Dec. 12, 2011) — Win or lose, chaos is at the core of Obama’s 2012 campaign strategy.

The Constitution and the American way of life are already under intense assault by enemies of the republic. The signs of degeneration are out there in plain sight.

The Obama Administration has spent the United States treasury to the brink of national bankruptcy, which has set the stage for the desired social unrest.

The Occupy War Street movement was just a test of Obama’s chaos strategy. The weakness demonstrated by politicians nationwide has only encouraged future, larger and more violent confrontations to support the Obama agenda either to transform America by force or, if that fails, destroy her.

Expect Occupy Flash Mobs to increase attacks on businesses and Obama opponents.

Watch for the number of premeditated racial incidents to increase.

To shape the outcome, the Obama campaign will continue to solicit international pressure directed at American election procedures and voters.

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting fed up with these self-important gangs of masked, black-clad agitators running roughshod over our city streets. They’ve occupied parks, shut down roadways, vandalized private property, assaulted law-abiding citizens and left entire communities afraid to venture into financially struggling downtown business districts. They’ve wielded spray cans and left behind eyesores that have incensed the community.

I am speaking, of course, about the police.

President Barack Obama faced a civil liberties backlash today after he signed a law that will allow terror suspects to be held indefinitely- even raising the prospects of U.S. citizens being sent to Guantanamo Bay. The controversial move, revealed last night, effectively extends the laws of the battlefield to American soil.

The move shows a clear hardening of Mr Obama’s anti-terror policies, and a major shift from the liberal stance that helped him sweep into power three years ago.

Senator John Kerry (D., Mass.) is in Egypt, meeting with leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood — the Islamist organization whose goals are to destroy Israel, “conquer Europe” and “conquer America” (to quote its most influential jurist, Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi).

The Brotherhood, which operates throughout the world, seeks the imposition by governments of strict sharia law (as outlined in Reliance of the Traveller: A Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law) and, eventually, a global caliphate. Naturally, the Obama administration describes it as a “largely secular” and moderate organization — and William Taylor, President Obama’s hand-picked “special coordinator for transitions in the Middle East,” announced last month that the administration would be quite “satisfied” with a Brotherhood victory in the Egyptian elections.

As the Investigative Project on Terrorism reports, Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee and key Obama administration congressional ally, “welcomed the results of Egypt’s first democratic elections,” in which “voters gave the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) nearly 40% of seats, and more than 24% went to the ultra-conservative Salafi coalition led by al-Nour Party.” [ACM: by ultraconservative, IPT means al-Nour is somewhat more impatient than the Brotherhood for the imposition of supremacist Islam; as I've explained on other occasions, the Muslim Brotherhood is Salafist in its ideology.]

RUSH: We had this story yesterday, didn’t have a chance to get to it. “Squeezed by rising living costs a record number of Americans — nearly one in two — have fallen into poverty, or they are scraping by on earnings that classify them as low income. One in five American children live in poverty.” Now, stop and think of this, folks. One in two Americans are now poor or low income. Now, this is the kind of story that usually comes out when a Republican is in the White House. Seriously. You don’t get these kinds of stories when a Democrat’s in the White House. We had a story yesterday about homeless children. I said to myself, “We don’t get these kinds of stories when a Democrat’s in the White House. What’s going on?”

And then, and then I remembered. The New York Times, in an op-ed two weeks ago on a Monday, Thomas B. Edsall (now at the Huffing and Puffington Post) wrote a piece in which he said that the Obama campaign was writing off white working class families. They were going to focus on the poor. The focus is on the votes of the poor and the votes of minorities. They are forgetting white working-class voters, meaning they know they can’t get those votes. The white working class is hurt; the white working class wants to work. Obama has policies that are destroying the creation of jobs. They know it. So Obama’s not even gonna make a pretense in the campaign.

Therefore what’s Obama need? More poor people! More people who are told they’re poor. More people who are told they’re poor because Wall Street stole from ‘em. More people who are told they’re poor because the 1% have taken everything from ‘em. So when you see a story — it’s at US News World Report, it’s at MSNBC, it’s everywhere — one in two Americans are now poor or low income. Well, Obama’s not failed. It’s like I said on Greta last night. I reminded everybody: January 16, 2009, Wall Street Journal calls, “Can you give us 400 words on what you hope for the new president?” I said, “It won’t take 400, I can do it in four: ‘I hope he fails,’” and an excrement storm erupted.

I, for six months, was the only guy carrying that message and that water.

So I said last night to Greta, “He has not failed.” From his perspective, he has had resounding success: Bankrupting the country, joblessness, increased debt, a transfer of money from the private sector to the public sector to government that’s never been done before on this level. The cutting down to size of the private sector, the class warfare, he’s succeeded — and when you see one in two Americans are now poor or low income, and you understand Obama’s gonna spend a billion dollars in his reelection targeting those people? The more poor the better. (New…..

Take our quiz Perry’s strategy amounts to betting everything on Iowa, where he’s making a major push, despite being stuck in the low double digits in the polls.

Less than a month after he threatened to veto terrifying legislation that would cease constitutional rights as we know it, Obama has revoked his warning and plans to authorize a bill allowing indefinite detention and torture of Americans.

After passing in the House of Representatives earlier this year, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 went before the US Senate last week, where it was met with overwhelming approval. In the days before, the Obama administration issued a policy statement on November 17 saying explicitly that the president would veto the bill, as it would challenge “the president’s critical authorities to collect intelligence incapacitate dangerous terrorists and protect the nation.”

Opposition from the White House seemed all but rampant until RT revealed earlier this week that Senator Carl Levin told lawmakers that the legislation was altered because “the administration asked us to remove the language which says that US citizens and lawful residents would not be subject to this section.”

Prison Planet.com » Rise Of The Beast System: 11 Ways That Amerika Is Becoming More Like North Korea

December 15, 2011 Leave a comment

Should we just get it over with and change the spelling of America to “Amerika”? Every single day, the United States of America is becoming more like North Korea. In North Korea, the citizens are told that everything that they do needs to be monitored, tracked, recorded and very tightly controlled so that everyone can be kept safe. No dissent is allowed at all. If government officials in North Korea even suspect that you are thinking the wrong thing, your entire extended family can be shipped off to a prison camp. And you know what? North Korea is a pretty safe place. There is not much terrorism in North Korea. But why in the world would anyone ever want to live like that? America is supposed to be a bastion of liberty and freedom, but now we are falling for the same totalitarian lies that so many other societies have fallen for throughout human history. We are witnessing the rise of the beast system – a system of control more pervasive than anything that the world has ever seen. We are constantly being told that the emerging “Big Brother” control grid is being put into place for “our safety”, but someday we are going to wake up in a dystopian nightmare where government tyrants have absolutely unlimited control over our lives.

Those that approve of the “Big Brother” police state control grids being constructed all over the world should really study North Korea. That country is what the end result looks like.

North Korea is a totalitarian police state hellhole. No rational human being would ever want to live there. You can see an absolutely amazing National Geographic documentary on what life is like inside North Korea on YouTube right here. If you have never seen that documentary before, it is definitely worth the time that it takes to watch it. If we stay on our current path, our country is going to become just like North Korea.

Survivors of a 1996 terrorist attack in Saudi Arabia that killed 19 U.S. servicemen are offendedthat an Iraqi official with ties to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was welcomed to the White House this week.

“Outrage at the visit to the White House really doesn’t describe what I feel,” said William M. Schooley, who survived the June 25, 1996, bombing of the Khobar Towers.

“I watched outstanding airmen die that night and witnessed horrific carnage. The survivors of Khobar Towers have been swept under the rug and now have received the greatest insult,” he added.

The Washington Times first reported Tuesday that Hadi Farhan al-Amiri, who serves as Iraq’s transportation minister, was part of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s delegation to the White House on Monday.

The FBI linked Iran’s Revolutionary Guard to the terrorist attack on the Khobar Towers. No Iranians were named in the indictment, and the Saudi Hezbollah was blamed for the blast.

Big Sis Orders ICE To Prepare For Mass Influx of Immigrants 29detain2 articleLarge

“The Department of Homeland Security wants a plan to deal with sudden mass migrations of immigrants to the U.S.,” reports Government Security News.

“DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, according to a statement by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, recently directed ICE to develop a national-level mass migration plan. The plan will outline how to address the health care, sheltering, processing, transition and disposition of large numbers of undocumented individuals who might arrive in the U.S. as the result of a mass migration, said ICE on Dec. 13.”

Part of the preparations for sheltering and processing an influx of people includes the construction and manning of detention camps.

In 2006, Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root was contracted by Homeland Security to build detention centers designed to deal with “an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S,” or the rapid development of unspecified “new programs” that would require large numbers of people to be interned.

You’ll note that at the time the legislation was being debated President Obama assured Americans that he would never sign the bill if it came to his desk.

The bill, which allows for the indefinite detainment of those, including American citizens, suspected of engaging in or supporting terrorist activity has not changed in any meaningful way over the last few weeks. This, of course, leaves inquiring minds questioning why the President would have so abruptly reversed his position:

Can Congress make legal something that is inherently wrong, and can Congress take a freedom that is a part of our humanity and make its exercise criminal?

If there were no First Amendment, would we still have the freedom of speech? The answer, like many in the law, depends on what values underlie the legal system. If the government is the source of our rights, then without the First Amendment’s guarantees of free speech, any government could legally punish you for saying words and expressing thoughts it hated or feared; and it could even silence you before you spoke.

On the other hand, if our rights come from our humanity and our humanity is a gift from God, then we would still enjoy the freedom of speech, whether it is insulated from government interference by the First Amendment or not. The wording of the First Amendment itself gives us a peek at what its authors thought. They wrote: “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech.” It doesn’t say that Congress shall grant freedom of speech; rather, it prohibits Congress from interfering with it. And by referring to free speech as the freedom of speech, the drafters recognized that the freedom of speech already existed before the country that they were founding even came to be.

The government as lawbreaker, again ~ Judge Andrew Napolitano

December 15, 2011 6 comments

The same founders who drafted the First Amendment also accepted Thomas Jefferson’s values articulated in the Declaration of Independence that we are endowed by our “Creator with certain unalienable rights, (and) that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

” It is clear beyond serious dispute from just scratching the surface of history that wedded to this country at its birth is the Judeo-Christian concept of the natural law. The natural law is the self-evident truth that our rights come from our humanity; that we have them by virtue of our mortal existence; that they do not depend upon government for their existence; that they do not vary as a consequence of where we are now or where our mothers were when we were born; and thus we remain fully endowed of these rights so long as we live, wherever we go. If you believe that we are the present result not of a supreme being, but of natural selection, you can accept as the founders did that humanity – and not government – is the repository of freedom.

I suspect that most people accept the natural law. We have even seen people in the government claim to accept it. Yet almost as soon as they take the oath to uphold these values, they start rejecting them. In the Patriot Act, for example, Congress made it a crime to reveal that the feds came calling on you with a search warrant in which a federal agent authorized himself to search records that you might have.

This, of course, not only violates the Fourth Amendment, which stipulates that only judges may authorize searches, but it also violates the First Amendment because it punishes speech.

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul declared on Wednesday his campaign was “peaking at the right time” as polls show him closing in on the two perceived front-runners.

The libertarian congressman from Texas with a passionate core of followers complained that pundits were dismissing his longshot campaign prematurely and sounded optimistic about catching former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and former House of Representatives speaker Newt Gingrich.

All three and others are seeking to represent the Republicans and unseat Democratic President Barack Obama next November. The first of a series of Republican nominating contests is set for January 3 in Iowa.
