Interesting add-on for Firefox – Collusion

March 3, 2012 Leave a comment

I just installed the “Collusion” add-on to Firefox. Anybody else tried this one?

It shows a graphic of websites that are supposedly tracking you when you open a page.

So far, FR is clean. Rense IS NOT! Neither is Drudge!

Not sure exactly what it means by “websites that are tracking me”. Cookies? One of those weird pixel thingamajigs?

I may leave it installed, I might trash it, not sure yet…

Marines ‘starting to look ridiculous’

March 3, 2012 1 comment

A Marine official’s description of a photograph of two males hugging and kissing at a base in Hawaii as “typical” is making the United States military look ridiculous, charges the head of the Center for Military Readiness, which argues for making the military more of a fighting force and less a social experiment.

The image has gotten widespread attention on the Internet. Posted on a “gay Marine” social networking page, it shows Dalan Wells and Brand Morgan. Their reunion after Morgan returned from assignment is what it is, according to Elaine Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness.

But she said the Marine Corps description that it is “typical” goes too far.

The statement, which was attributed to a Marine Corps Base Hawaii spokeswoman, was, “It’s your typical homecoming photo.”

“This demonstrates just how fragile the culture of the military is,” Donnelly told WND. “Here she is speaking officially for the Marine Corps. Her statement reflects a cultural reversal.”

Donnelly said the spokeswoman “knows this is not a truthful statement.”

A spokesman in the public affairs office at the Pentagon started stuttering when WND asked if the description of the image as “typical” was correct.

“I don’t know if I’m in a position … I don’t know,” the spokesman said. “I think it would be accurate to say a typical homecoming photo has two who are greeting, one who came back. That would be very typical.”

His response didn’t address the issue at hand.

Donnelly said the new culture, marked by the recent elimination of the 200-plus year old ban on open homosexuality in the military, will rebound on the United States at some point.

“We may find out a hard way,” she said.

She said her criticism is not with the individuals involved but with the policy and atmosphere created by government that allows the behavior.

A Statement from Rush, same first apology as Imus and Trent Lott. Left will push for removal

March 3, 2012 Leave a comment

A Statement from Rush March 03, 2012 For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation.

I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress.

I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow?

Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone’s bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.

Why Glenn Beck Isn’t On Television Anymore | Western

March 3, 2012 3 comments

Anyone who actually watched the presentation from Sheriff Joe Arpiao’s all-volunteer Cold Case Posse knows the truth about how much of a fraud Barack Obama is.

If we had an honest media, news as important as what Arpiao and his people presented would have demanded that ALL media– TV and radio included-cover his press conference live from start to finish. Those who watched the presentation also understand that if it had been nationally broadcast and the American people heard and saw the actual evidence, Obama would be gone by May.

Nevertheless, instead of reporting what Arpiao presented, the AP and others took the opportunity to attack Arpiao personally. Not surprisingly, the now toothless, feckless Glenn Beck pandered to the Left and joined the AP. He gave himself away by using their stock lie “Theories that the president’s birth certificate is fake have been widely discredited.”

Mr. Beck, isn’t it true that you didn’t have the nerve to simply report what Arpiao presented for fear that the media would label you (gulp) “a birther?” Do you actually think pandering to the Left will keep them from rolling you over the coals any chance they get?

The Organized Destruction of America Through Political Correctness | Western

March 3, 2012 2 comments

Being a man in my mid-forties, raised in a pre-political correctness society, I have come to realize what is happening in our country today. We have compromised our principles and our integrity.

Every day, it seems, in the midst of all of the political theatrics of the day, someone says something that offends another and before you know it, you may hear the words “I mispoke” or something along those lines.

The average person no longer has a voice in society for fear of offending someone else. Case in point, Rick Santorum refers to Barack Obama as a snob for continuously pushing for higher education.

Well, if anyone has noticed, where does Barack Obama give the bulk of his speeches? At universities or community collages. Rick Santorum has since apologized for his comment.

Why? Mr. Santorum, in my veiw, is entitled to his opinion as is guaranteed by the First Amendment. But, as usual, political correctness ruled the day. Now, jump to the firestorm that Rush Limbaugh is now enduring.

Will People Alive Today Have the Opportunity to Upload Their Consciousness to a New Robotic Body?

March 3, 2012 Leave a comment

At the recent Global Future 2045 International Congress held in Moscow, 31-year-old media mogul Dmitry Itskov told attendees how he plans to create exactly that kind of immortality, first by creating a robot controlled by the human brain, then by actually transplanting a human brain into a humanoid robot, and then by replacing the surgical transplant with a method for simply uploading a person’s consciousness into a surrogate ‘bot.

He thinks he can get beyond the first phase–to transplanting a working brain into a robot–in just ten years, putting him on course to achieve his ultimate goal–human consciousness completely disembodied and placed within a holographic host–within 30 years time.Pushing aside all the extremely difficult technological challenges for a moment, there are a couple of important to considerations tied up in Itskov’s vision.

First, while the later phases of his project are so far out as to seem ridiculous, phase one is totally feasible in fact it’s already being done. From there, the leap to phase two–human brainpower transplanted into a mechanical robot–is a quite a leap. But if we are willing to allow that it might be possible even within the next 30 years, then we have to consider a further possibility: that many people alive today–like the twenty-something author of this piece–could be confronted with this kind of technology in their lifetimes.

Which is terrifying and amazing and disconcerting all at the same time.

(“What more are you waiting for? A knock at your door by the authorities who must remove you from your seats of power? A full blown civil action where We the People “) Letter To Georgia Officials from SERIOUSLY Hacked Off Citizen re. Obozo Eligibility!

March 3, 2012 Leave a comment

March 3, 2012 Attn: Governor Deal, SOS Brian Kemp, State Atty. Gen. Sam Olens

Re: Ballot fraud and criminal cover-up

Dear sirs,

The facts are now in, having been uncovered and disclosed by AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio at his March 1 press conference, and they speak to criminal activity I have been warning you about since before any of you took office. I am but one man in a State of millions but this man will not stop until justice prevails. Your minions, Judges Michael Malihi and Cynthia Wright have now done your bidding and paved the way for the Criminal in Chief to, once again, be fraudulently and illegally placed on the GA ballot. This constitutes aiding and abetting. This constitutes misprision of felony. This constitutes treason. There is no legal cover for your actions or lack thereof.

speaking in Phoenix, Arizona on February 26, 2011.

What more are you waiting for? A knock at your door by the authorities who must remove you from your seats of power? A full blown civil action where We the People converge, en masse, at the Gold Dome? What the hell are you waiting for?

I’m certain the recent announcement of all the Federal money pouring into this State just after the Malihi/Kemp ruling is no coincidence and many of us who watched this sequence of events unfold understand full well that this represents the selling out, by you, of this great State to the DC crowd. Best get your cut of it now and run as fast as you can to a sanctuary country because you are ultimately responsible for this nightmare. No more games or back room deals will be tolerated.

You know what must be done but continue to refuse to do it. Doing the right thing may spare the lot of you some extremely unpleasant time being incarcerated. Then again, you really don’t have a choice now, do you? You’ve made your bed and are comfortably sleeping with the enemy of the State. That comfort level is about to change as the anger continues to well up in those who know what you’ve done.

Obama, or whoever the hell he is, is being protected in the State of GA by you and you alone. The rest of us are now just watching and waiting for the shoe to drop and by default it must drop on you, the criminal conspirators who continue this charade by subverting our GA law at every turn for indefensible reasons. There were no tough decisions to make, the law is clear or at least was until this triumvirate started changing it on the fly. Keep in mind that when the three of you consciously decided to discard your Oath of Office and change our laws for political or monetary gain, you relieved the Citizenry of our responsibility to do the same.

Myself and everyone who else who are now aware of your complicity wonder how you plan on seeking cover for this. You can’t. The buck stops with the three of you. It’s your problem, not ours (misprision). We’ll do what what’s right and let the chips fall where they may but know this.., when we identify ALL the players, and we will, the price for your continued criminal acquiescence will be steep.

Patton’s Secret: I Am Going to Resign From the Army

March 3, 2012 3 comments

But all the while Patton continued to fume inwardly over what had befallen him, and to mull over incessantly what his next step should be. These inflamed thoughts and the consuming anger that prompted them never left him.

George S. Patton signed photo by U.S. Army

Image via Wikipedia

Finally, one night at dinner, he said to General Gay: “I have given this a great deal of thought. I am going to resign from the Army. Quit outright, not retire. That’s the only way I call be free to live my own way of life. That’s the only way I can and will live from now on. For the years that are left to me, I am determined to be free to live as I want to and to say what I want to. This has occupied my mind almost completely the last two months, and I am fully convinced this is the only honorable and proper course to take.”

Gay, startled and deeply perturbed, pressed Patton, “. . . not to be hasty; don’t do anything you might regret later.” Particularly, Gay urged Patton to discuss the matter with people close to him. Talk it over with your wife,” Gay said. “You owe that to her. Also with Fred Ayer [a brother-in-law whom Patton regarded highly] and Harry Semmes [patent lawyer of Washington, D.C. who was a young officer in Patton's World War I tank brigade and remained close to him through the years]. There are others you ought to talk this over with. These people are part of your life and you don’t want to make a decision as momentous as this, and which will affect them as much as it will you, without discussing it with them.”

“I haven’t the slightest doubt that Beatrice and Fred will see it just as I do, and agree fully with my decision,” replied Patton emphatically.

As the days passed, Patton became increasingly tense and restless. He took long drives by himself, and at times nervously paced the floor of his office. At dinner, he said little and went to his quarters early. He smoked more cigars than usual. It was obvious he was undergoing deep and gnawing turmoil.

Early in December, he informed Gay he intended to spend Christmas with Mrs. Patton at their home in Hamilton, Massachusetts, near Boston.

“Admiral Hewitt has invited me to accompany him to the U.S. on his flagship, the Augusta, Patton said. “I’ll fly to London on Monday and join him there. When I get home, I am going through with my plan to resign from the Army.”

“I’m going to do it with a statement that will be remembered a long time. If it doesn’t make big headlines, I’ll be surprised. As I told you, I am determined to be free to live my own way of life, and I’m going to make that unforgettably clear.”

As Patton talked, it was obvious he was under great emotional strain. His long, slender fingers drummed nervously on the table, and he puffed tensely on his cigar.

Forty-eighter Mindset: “…cause a bloodbath to destroy the party of barbarism.” | revisedhistory

March 3, 2012 1 comment

The Forty-eighter socialist and communist revolutionaries from Europe that came to this country to join the forces in the North that hoped to have a hand in destroying Christianity in the South in the 1850s were, much like our “news” media, utterly devoted to the agenda they had laid out, or that had been laid out for them.

Their thinking was anti-religious, anti-Christian, and they never departed one iota from that worldview.

Therefore, anything that would help to tear down Christian civilization was acceptable. These folks were going to replace God with the sovereign state, ruled by “the will of the people.” Trouble was they never really defined who “the people” were that would run their new state. History has shown us that “the people” were really themselves and their friends—seeking power and the prerequisites of god-ship, that all men might worship the state (beast).

Did Woodrow Wilson praise the Bolshevik Revolution?

A steadfast concert for peace can never be maintained except by a partnership of democratic nations. No autocratic government could be trusted to keep faith within it or observe its covenants. It must be a league of honour, a partnership of opinion. Intrigue would eat its vitals away; the plottings of inner circles who could plan what they would and render account to no one would be a corruption seated at its very heart. Only free peoples can hold their purpose and their honour steady to a common end and prefer the interests of mankind to any narrow interest of their own.

Does not every American feel that assurance has been added to our hope for the future peace of the world by the wonderful and heartening things that have been happening within the last few weeks in Russia? Russia was known by those who knew it best to have been always in fact democratic at heart, in all the vital habits of her thought, in all the intimate relationships of her people that spoke their natural instinct, their habitual attitude towards life.

Breitbart A Provocateur to the End

March 3, 2012 2 comments

Andrew Breitbart‘s heart was too big to fail, but it did anyway.

If you don’t know who Breitbart was, you haven’t been paying attention. A conservative activist, entrepreneur, author, muckraker, media pioneer and performance artist of sorts, in his heart he was a radical.

speaking at CPAC in Washington D.C. on Februar...

Image via Wikipedia

His friends saw him as a fearless truth-teller and provocateur. (The word “fearless” will have to be retired from overuse when all of his obituaries have been written.) His enemies, and they are legion even in death, saw him as the most vile creature who ever slithered upon the earth.

Within hours of the news, Twitter lit up with repugnant and ghoulish statements from left-wingers celebrating the premature death of a man with four small children. I won’t repeat them because the ones printable in a family newspaper aren’t representative, and the ones that are representative aren’t printable.

Andrew relished such attacks, truly, because they proved to him that he was having great effect in his work and that his opponents had run out of serious arguments.

This is not to say that Andrew was beyond criticism. He made mistakes. He took full swings at some pitches he should have just let go. He overstated some things that needed to be said, and said some things that didn’t need to be said at all. He was a human run-on sentence who showed deference to no punctuation mark save the exclamation point, a conservative Tasmanian Devil from the Bugs Bunny cartoons we both grew up on, whirling and whizzing through anything in his path. Giving him a dose of Ritalin to treat his hyperactivity would be like throwing a glass of water on a five-alarm fire.

But the hatred his enemies had for him overshot his faults like a dart thrown past the board and over the moon.

Others will talk of his accomplishments: working for the Drudge Report in its infancy, creating websites and businesses, pioneering new forms of media and exploiting the inherent weaknesses and pieties of the old media. And many who knew him will talk of his personal kindness: how the only times he slowed down were when he needed to lend an ear, do a favor or talk about how much he loved his family.

Those things matter more than the politics, but they are not what made him a public figure. If being kind and loving your family made you famous, countless plumbers, carpenters and accountants would be famous too.

Did Barack Obama Flip Off Hillary Clinton? [Obscene gesture with kids present in '08]

March 3, 2012 3 comments

Did Barack Obama intentionally make a one-finger gesture when referring to his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton? Quite possibly, yes.

The evidence is in a video filmed April 17th from a Raleigh, N.C., speech that Obama gave.

“Hillary Clinton, she looked in her element, you know,” Obama says right before reaching up and scratching his face with one finger à la Will Smith in “Men in Black.” Note the crowd reactions after Obama does it (21 seconds in) and his sly smile afterwards.

(“there are a growing number of scientists, politicians and global opinion makers that believe that we must reduce the size of the human population for the good of the planet”) They Love Death

March 3, 2012 4 comments

Have you ever known someone that loves death? When someone truly is in love with death, it can take that person to a very dark place. Unfortunately, there are a growing number of scientists, politicians and global opinion makers that believe that we must reduce the size of the human population for the good of the planet.

They are convinced that humanity is causing global warming, killing off other species and making this planet unlivable. In their quest to save the future of the planet, they are becoming bolder and bolder with their calls for population control. They love death because they believe that it will help save the earth. They figure that with less humans around, there will be less carbon emissions, less pollution and more room for other species. So how will this be achieved?

(Ron Paul) A Gentle Voice of Reason for America by Eric Margolis

March 3, 2012 4 comments

America has come back, at least politically, to where it was in the far-off 1950’s when Communist-scares and the American fascism of Wisconsin Senator Joe McCarthy kept the republic in a state of anxiety and deep fear.

Joseph McCarthy

Joseph McCarthy (Photo credit: Wisconsin Historical Images)

“Reds under our beds” was the slogan in those days of paranoia and witch-hunting. Today, the new scare mantra is: “Muslims under our mattresses,” and “Iran threatens the world.”

In the McCarthy era, the Republican Party was run by East Coast moderate conservatives from New York, Boston and Washington who were well educated and worldly. McCarthy was a GOP black sheep from the political badlands of the deep Midwest.

The Soviets and their fellow travellers were a real danger in that era, but not to the absurd degree of McCarthy’s fevered claims. But for a while, his anti-Communist campaign intimidated America and held it in thrall. Being accused of pro-Communism was then as ruinous a charge as being called “pro-terrorist” today.

The Republican elite eventually became sickened by McCarthy’s lies and alarms that the government was filled with Communists and Soviet spies, and worried that they were fast losing control of the party to the populist McCarthy. Sixty years later, the GOP indeed fell under control of the rural heartland.

In recent months, we have witnessed the rebirth of McCarthyism in the Iowa presidential caucusas five Republican candidates struggled to outdo one another in warning of the perils of Iran and Islam – the new Red Menace.

The only Republican candidates who spoke responsibly about US foreign policy were Congressman Ron Paul and former Ambassador Jon Huntsman.

The other Republicans issued blood-curdling threats against Iran, and salaamed Israel without relent, and called for continued US domination of the globe.
