(Hillary Clinton and the rest of the cabinet are also absent.) “Instead, the room is filled with a group of trusted confidants who were at his side during the last campaign,” writes the Times, suggesting that Biden is not indeed a ‘trusted confidant.

This is despite the fact that Biden has been termed “campaigner in chief.” He remains a constant presence on the campaign trail, holding rallies and fundraisers, trying to woo supporters with his personality and words. But, likewise, he remains a gaffe machine, continuously tripping over his words and message at these events……
