.....It strikes at the heart of what freedom actually is. At its most basic and stripped down level, it is elegantly and brutally unsophisticated; freedom and liberty is the imperative be left alone and not forced to comply with anything you don’t consent to.

Are there negative consequences and sad outcomes as folks choose to do stupid and counter-productive endeavors? Absolutely.
