Women Don’t Belong in Ranger School
The United States Army is debating whether to admit women to Ranger School, its elite training program for young combat leaders.
Proponents argue this is to remove a final impediment to the careers of Army women. But the move would erode the unique Ranger ethos and culture—not to mention the program’s rigorous physical requirements—harming its core mission of cultivating leaders willing to sacrifice everything for our nation.
Rivalry At Normandy – National Review Online (“…deep-seeded rivalry between the Army and Marines was in full bloom…”)
By W. Thomas Smith Jr.June 4, 2004 8:51 A.M.
Sixty-years-ago, along a 60-mile stretch of France’s Normandy coastline, a combined force of American, British, and Canadian soldiers began streaming ashore as German artillery, mortar, machine-gun, and rifle fire ripped into their ranks.
The mission of the Allied force was to kick down the door of Nazi Germany’s Fortress Europe, and then launch a drive toward the heart of Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich.Overseen by American Gen. Dwight D. “Ike” Eisenhower, the operation was–and remains to this day–the largest amphibious assault in history.
Since then, the question has often been raised as to why the U.S. Marine Corps did not play a leading role in the landings. After all, the Corps’s raison d’être was amphibious warfare. Marines had been perfecting the art of the amphibious assault since the 1920’s, and between 1942 and 1944, they had put their skills to practical use at places like Guadalcanal, Makin, Bougainville, and Tarawa, in the Pacific. In the Atlantic, Marines had trained Army forces for seaborne landings prior to the North African campaign in 1942, and then made landings during the same. Marines trained Army forces for the Sicilian-Italian landings in 1943.

What would happen if an election took place, and the incumbent losers refused to leave office?
That’s exactly the situation in Quartzsite, Ariz., where two winning candidates for the positions of mayor and town councilman are not being allowed to be seated.

Let The Killing Begin With The Guilty This Time
By Gordon Duff, Senior Editor
I served as a Marine infantryman in Vietnam. Raised on war propaganda, political claptrap and only mildly suspicious that America had been overthrown in the Coup de Etat on November 22, 1963, I was going to do my part. The idea of someone else fighting and dying in my place sickened me.
Little did I know the vast majority of Americans, hawks, “chickenhawks,” so many I find myself amazed, looked on my way of thinking as insane.
Zimmerman judge: Prosecutor must release Zimmerman’s statements to cops
Within the next two weeks, the public will know exactly what George Zimmerman, in his own words, told authorities about the night he shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
-snip-
Among Lester’s other rulings: “Tests” performed on Zimmerman, likely referring to a voice-stress test performed by police, the rough equivalent of a lie-detector test, can be made public, but most of Zimmerman’s phone records will not be.
Thousands of emails sent to police about the case will be released but not photos depicting Trayvon’s body.
Exposed: The Convicted Killer Harassing Conservative Bloggers
Liar, killer, and convicted 1978 “Speedway Bomber” Brett Kimberlin is engaged in a part-time career of using police to harass, intimidate, and even facilitate the death of conservative bloggers across the nation.
In what has come to be called “SWAT-ing,” Kimberlin and a number of suspected associates make bogus calls to 911 in order to report a serious domestic crime–in one instance, masquerading as a husband who admits to the brutal murder of his wife. Police respond with the dispatch of a SWAT team to the address provided in the call only to find, after breaking down the door and training nervous sights on the first male in view, that the whole thing is a hoax.
By choosing prominent conservative bloggers as victims of this life-threatening scheme and other criminal escapades, Kimberlin hopes to intimidate into silence those who have reported to the American public the odious past and current criminal exploits of this George Soros dependent and devotee.
Radiation Levels Were at a Catastrophic Level in South Bend? :
According to Tim Flanegin, owner of MineraLab, the company that runs Radiation Network, it was simply a technical glitch.
Nonetheless a very scary glitch for many. WSBT in South Bend, Indiana had many concerned individuals call after the reported readings seemed to have gone through the roof.
There is no doubt in my mind that we should be on the look out for radiation (especially the particles that are more difficult to test for). So I am glad that people were alert and actively engaged. However, this does “seem” to be a glitch.
In a statement to WSBT Tim Flanegin says this about the occurrence:
“My apologies to all. I have no idea what caused this. The alert level reading (Wednesday) evening appears to be a false alert from an equipment malfunction,” said Flanegin. “We use some form of radiation, almost everyday. We count on it for medicine, the sciences, communication and cooking.”

Is Ron Paul Finished? What About Us? :
You might think that Rand Paul’s interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News spelled the end of his father’s political career, where Rand pledged his support if not full endorsement to Mitt Romney. But No! They can find new ways to milk all the political capital the patriot movement has. Perhaps a new book sale for example:Listen Everybody!
This is not over! You can SUPPORT the CAMPAIGN FOR LIBERTY by buying Ron Paul’s latest book:“HOW I TURNED MY GOOD NAME INTO DUNG”By Ron Benedict PaulThe ugly truth is that Ron Paul has been wasting our contributions, political capital and collective energy since early 2007 which is only one part of the big Presidential picture. Let’s face it, the symptoms were there all along.
Ron Paul has continually avoided the truth about the 911 issue, and we have not objected to his allegations that “foreign terrorists” were behind the attacks. After Obama was elected, he failed to capitalize on HR 1207 when he had over 300 Co-signers a Bill to Audit the Fed while congress passed Obama care instead. He should have left the Republican party back after Super Tuesday, and he will not even campaign in the big states currently.

Rand Paul endorses Mitt Romney last Friday, just days after Romney was anointed at the Bilderberg Conference, elitists who started financing Ron Paul with millions a few months ago. The backlash among the libertarian community is intense. Libertarian leaders all over the place are denouncing him. Adam Kokesh is clearly hurting badly here.
Prison Planet.com » “I’m Supporting The Party That I Belong To”: Rand Paul Speaks About Romney Endorsement
While he anticipated the backlash, Rand believes that supporting the party will enable him to get more done, and that many critics have been too quick to forget the good things he has managed to do so far from within the Senate.
“Supporting the nominee has been part of my ability to try to have influence… If Republicans see that you are not going to support the nominee, the doors close.”
The Senator believes that endorsing Romney will help earn his trust and make him more likely to listen to his policies. He agreed that it is better to have Romney as a friend than as an enemy.

Moral Environment Spiraling Downward in US Military
I’m afraid we’re beginning to see a dangerous slide of ethics and morality in the U.S. military. You know, the force that is in charge of guns and tanks and fighters and bombers and nuclear missiles? The one that is charged with defending the American people and our freedom?

Prison Planet.com » Hubris as the Evil Force in History
I have always been intrigued by the Battle of Bull Run, the opening battle of the US Civil War, known to southerners as the War of Northern Aggression. Extreme hubris characterized both sides, the North before the battle and the South afterwards.
Republican politicians and their ladies in their finery road out to Manassas, the Virginia town through which the stream, Bull Run, flowed, in carriages to watch the Union Army end the “Southern Rebellion” in one fell swoop. What they witnessed instead was the Union Army fleeing back to Washington with its tail between its legs. The flight of the northern troops promoted some southern wags to name the battle, the Battle of Yankee Run.
The outcome of the battle, left the South infected with the hubris that had so abruptly departed the North. The southerners concluded that they had nothing to fear from cowards who ran away from a fight. “We have nothing to worry about from them,” decided the South. It was precisely at this point that hubris defeated the South.

George Washington is justifiably called the “Father of America” for his military and civilian leadership during the American Revolution and his two terms as America’s first president, however, in the new book, George Washington’s Military Genius, General David Palmer persuasively argues that Washington’s strategic military talent was key to his success.
