MILTON FRIEDMAN SCHOOLS PHIL DONAHUE – 1979

Today, July 31, 2012, would have been the great free-market economist Milton Friedman‘s 100th birthday. Below, is a series of interviews Friedman had on the Phil Donahue Show in 1979. Friedman repeatedly, in his customary polite demeanor, makes Donahue look like the Socialist fool that he is. I do have to credit Donahue, however, for allowing Friedman on his program to obliterate him. He’s a little more tolerant than today’s lefties in media.
…..Hate them or love them, you have to appreciate their passion and willingness to do whatever it takes to be heard.
Conservatives need to take some lessons from Paul supporters in how to work for their goals no matter the odds, no matter the cost.
I would like to address an issue that is apparently of concern to a significant number of people. In my “Ask Fred” column, several people have expressed concern (some have been adamant and angry)
They contend that at least one of his parents were required at the time of his birth to have been a citizen for him to fulfill the constitutional requirement of eligibility, even though he was born on American soil.
Democrats’ biggest concern isn’t the economy; it’s whether Obama has already peaked. There are numerous reasons to believe it’s true.
If true, there are rapidly diminishing opportunities for the Administration to reverse it, and a growing list that could accelerate it.Pick your poll: the presidential race is a toss-up. …
Election ’08: The mainstream media have finally gotten around to revealing Barack Obama‘s early mentor.
they’ve downplayed the mystery man’s communist background.
IBD Series:(The Audacity Of Socialism)
As noted in the July 29 curtain-raiser to this series, the seeds of Obama’s far-left ideology were planted in his formative years as a teenager growing up in Hawaii — and they were far more radical than any biography or media profile has portrayed.
When George W Bush decided to invade Afghanistan, outwardly he pretended that the purpose was to avenge 9/11 attacks allegedly perpetrated by Osama bin Laden led al-Qaeda based in Afghanistan and to free the world from the menace of terrorism and to prevent 9/11 like attacks to recur. The US hidden motives were however altogether different.
RUSH: We have the 100th birthday today of Milton Friedman. Milton Friedman — some of you in this audience may not know — Milton Friedman, University of Chicago, a brilliant economist. He and his wife were a dynamo. They were a dynamic team. In economics, free market capitalism, Milton Friedman’s a rock star. Milton Friedman should be the Bible for young people, or anybody, trying to understand capitalism and free markets. Back in — I think the year was 1995. Back in 1995, I interviewed Milton Friedman for an issue of the Limbaugh Letter. That’s still the most widely read political newsletter in the country. You can subscribe to it.

Police Battalions Meant to ‘Quickly’ Deploy Abroad

Military police are nothing new, but the US Marines seem to be taking the concept to a new level, forming a growing number of new battalions of police meant not to police the military, but to be deployed abroad as a US-imposed police force for other nations.
The new “world police” battalions are being presented as a way for the US to quickly deploy police abroad for “anti-terror” or drug war operations, and it seems they won’t necessarily be confined to places under direct US occupation, and could be sent anywhere the US has designs on imposing a police state.

The disinformation mafia at Time magazine says that the phrase “’Guns don’t actually kill people’ is sometimes a refrain from gun rights advocates when they run low on arguments in a policy discussion.”
Concerning the false flag staged attack in Aurora, Colorado, the National Rifle Association is pushing for the right to bear arms and the retention of our 2nd Amendment while the talking heads at CNN want us to believe the globalist’s lie that America would be safer if semi-automatic weapons were banned from purchase. In a commentary piece, they say that America’s violent culture can be directly blamed on our ability to have guns to protect ourselves. Never does the author of the article mention that the increase in violent films, television shows and music could be a factor in brainwashing average Americans to think enacting violent outbursts would be acceptable.

Cliff Kincaid — Obama’s Ultimate Cover-up (“…, the fact that Obama was under the tutelage of a pedophile for eight years continues to be a non-story. But it gets even worse…”)
Obama biographer David Maraniss wrote an 1139-word article, “The Audacity of Doubt,” for The Washington Post on Sunday that purported to be a refutation of what some critics have been saying about the President.
Maraniss focuses mostly on questions about Obama’s religion and place of birth and pretends to have the answers. However, Maraniss ignored the fact that the critics were right four years ago when they identified communist Frank Marshall Davis as Obama’s mentor in Hawaiiand the mysterious “Frank” from Obama’s book, Dreams from My Father.Maraniss
had written a 10,000-word piece for the Post in 2008, when the information could have made a difference in the campaign, ignoring this critical fact.

Prison Planet.com » Flash Mob Crimes And Organized Looting Have Become A Normal Part Of Life In America
On Saturday, more than 20 teens stormed into a trendy clothing store in Chicago and stole more than $3,000 worth of jeans, but it barely made a blip on the national news because this kind of thing has become so common. After all, we just saw the exact same kind of thing happen in Jacksonville,Detroit, Baltimore and a whole bunch of other places. Flash mob crimes have become so common in Chicago that they take public opinion polls about them. But when I first started writing about this phenomenon a couple of years ago, hardly anyone knew what “mob robberies” were.
“I, Pencil” is an essay by Leonard Read. The full title is “I, Pencil: My Family Tree as Told to Leonard E. Read” and it was first published in the December 1958 issue of The Freeman. It was reprinted in The Freeman in May 1996 and as a pamphlet entitled “I… Pencil” in May 1998.
“I, Pencil” is written in the first person from the point of view of a pencil. The pencil details the complexity of its own creation, listing its components (cedar, lacquer, graphite, ferrule, factice, pumice, wax, glue) and the numerous people involved, down to the sweeper in the factory and the lighthouse keeper guiding the shipment into port.
Chick-fil-A: Democrats’ Jihad Against Christians (“Make no mistake about it; this is much bigger than Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-A.”)
The relentless war by the left on Christians and biblical values has reached a new and more frightening phase with announcements by Democrat mayors and city officials across the country that they are “banning” fast food restaurant Chick-fil-A from their cities because company president Dan Cathy said unapologetically that he is in “support of the traditional family.”

Praise the Troops, Screw the Troops by RALPH PETERS July 30, 2012
It’s a rare politician, left, right or center, who won’t grab a photo opportunity with our troops then plaster the image all over campaign materials. Even the hard left has learned to mouth insincere praise for the men and women in uniform before attacking our national defense. Nonetheless, we’re about to see another shameless and shabby example of Capitol Hill hypocrisy: Those senators and representatives-including yours, my fellow conservatives–are going to put 100,000 veterans out on the street. And that’s just the beginning.

Does the press function as an independent Fourth Estate or as a fourth branch of government?
Are media adversaries of the State or its accomplice?TV’s top journalists are part of the wealthy and influential elite, often socializing with people they’re supposed to be scrutinizing. At an awards banquet for the Radio & Television Correspondents Association during Reagan’s second term, Kathleen Sullivan at the time with ABC was photographed on the arm of then-Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger, while CBS Face the Nation host Lesley Stahl greeted the Republican Party’s national chairman Frank Fahrenkopf with a kiss.
Vice President Bush serenaded the crowd with a speech and journalists got prizes ostensibly for good reporting.David Broder of the Washington Post, often described as the dean of American political reporting, has won many awards in his day. Upon accepting a prize for lifetime service to journalism at Washington’s National Press Club in 1988, Broder stated: “I can’t for the life of me fathom why any journalists would want to become insiders, when it’s so much fun being outsiders-irreverent, inquisitive, incorrigibly independent outsiders, thumbing our nose at authority and going our own way.”

Lawsuit challenges state’s demand
for reporting of online transactions

Want to buy a “long live the tea party” bumper sticker online? Soon, the state government in Colorado could know that you purchased it, what you paid for it, where it was shipped, what billing address you used, and a few other details.
A plan requiring that consumers’ online purchases be tracked, compiled into lists and reported annually has been launched in the state, and now a lawsuit is challenging the constitutionality of the Big Brother look into credit-card records.
The Direct Marketing Association’s lawsuit is over the state’s law that now gives “out-of-state retailers” the option of demanding consumers pay to them the Colorado sales tax or complying with the information compilation and reporting requirements.
“The Department’s tax-policy director has stated publicly that he believes most affected retailers would choose to collect Colorado sales tax to avoid the more unpleasant option of having to send tax notices to their customers,” the lawsuit alleges.
But there are threats to companies because of requirements that they keep consumers’ information private.
(Story continues below)
“The department was cited in a May 2008 report of the state auditor for its failure to take appropriate measures to protect the confidentiality of personally identifiable information that it maintains in its databases,” the complaint alleges.
The case in federal district court in Colorado challenges the state’s action as “an unprecedented invasion of consumer privacy” and alleges it “unfairly discriminates against interstate commerce, as the law is targeted solely at out-of-state retailers.”
“The new law and the regulations implementing it are an unconstitutional and blatant violation of Colorado consumers’ privacy,” said Jerry Cerasale, senior vice president for government affairs for the association.
“The law may have been passed in the hope of balancing the state budget through increased use-tax reporting by Colorado residents, but it has serious adverse consequences for consumers and businesses,” he said.
The complaint details how:
The association explains how the law would let state tax officials “pry into citizens’ purchasing behaviors and histories.”
A fellow professor with Barack Obama at the University of Chicago in the 1990s told radio host Laura Ingraham last week that the man who would become president once insisted, “People shouldn’t be allowed to own guns.”
Progressive organizations behind White House policy have crafted specific, second-term plans for President Obama
to transform the U.S. Armed Forces into a social work-style organization designed to combat “global warming,” fight global poverty, remedy “injustice,” bolster the United Nations and increase “peacekeeping” forces worldwide.
Dr. Patrick Johnston — Anybody but Romney
This article will give greater meaning to Barack Obama’s outrageous declaration in Roanoke that, “If you own your business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” (didntbuildthat.com)
Obama’s minions in the press claim that highlighting the president’s Roanoke quote is ripping an incidental remark out of context or bungling his intended syntax. Taking together all the president’s actions since assuming the throne in the Oval Office, it’s easy to see his remark in Roanoke fits quite well with his agenda: ATTACK THE INDEPENDENT INDIVIDUAL.

Whether the topic is the environment, immigration concerns or the state of country music in the new millennium, Haggard hardly needs an invitation to share his opinions. During the course of a half hour or so,
Haggard easily proffered thoughts on how politicians, songwriters and television evangelists share myriad things in common. He’s carved out a niche as an insightful and sometimes subversive social critic, and uses honesty to deliver his personal message. It doesn’t damage his cause that those messages just happen to make up a massive chunk of the classic country songbook.

When I go into a Japanese restaurant, I am a racist. I don’t want to see a white guy or a black guy or a Latino guy, or even a Korean guy making my sushi. Funny that. When I go into a Korean restaurant I certainly don’t want to see a Japanese making the food either (ask any Koreans you know if they agree with me).
And speaking of Seoul food, ditto goes for, say a German or Italian, or down-south real Soul food restaurant; and nope, I don’t want to see a guy named Yamazaki making the pork chops and gravy with collard greens.
The remnants of Posse Comitatus stand between the Pentagon and the globalist dream of a police state in the United States. The 1878 law prohibits federal military personnel from working with state and local law enforcement. It has weathered sustained attacks following the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Last week, when U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann and four other GOP House members wrote letters suggesting that federal government personnel close to the White House be investigated more closely for Muslim Brotherhood connections, they were severely criticized. The criticism was due to a sentence in one of the letters that mentioned Sec. of State Hillary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff Huma Abedin.

While the federal government is arming itself to the teeth against conservatives
The recent deluge of attacks against the second amendment were completely predictable in the aftermath of the Colorado massacre,
but what perhaps wasn’t so expected was the fact that a lot of them have come from so-called Republicans.
Although normally aligned with the right to keep and bear arms, over the last week numerous self-proclaimed conservatives have proven themselves to be wolves in sheep’s clothing.
The most recent rhetorical assault on gun rights came yesterday courtesy of Reagan appointee and so-called intellectual anchor of the Supreme Court’s conservative wing, Justice Antonin Scalia.
Would seem to be sagging at this moment, so I think Obama would need a war with Iran. I think that all these negotiations now are basically shadow boxing and posturing for what will eventually will be a war with Iran. And I think the Iranian Ajatollah regime will be overthrown by a UN coalition.
I wouldn’t be surprised if… Iran was divided up in World War I between the Russian Czars administration and the British because Shah in Iran in World War I was pro-Kaiser and in World War II Iran was divided up with the Soviets, British and the Americans and I would not be surprised if President Obama offered Putin a piece of the pie. In other words, if Russia goes over to the United Nations led coalition, Russia will get a piece of Iran. Or at least a piece of the oil and I think that there are two important reasons, much more important reasons to go to war with Iran rather than the nuclear threat. I think that the nuclear threat is important but it’s a fig leaf, it’s an excuse for the attack.
