In the movie, “The Outlaw Josey Wales,” a small group was surrounded in the farm house preparing for an attack from a gang of outlaws. Josey prepares the group for the ensuing battle. He finally admonishes them with these words, “Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you are not going to make it, then you’ve got to get mean. I mean plumb mad-dog mean. Cause if you lose your head and you give up, then you neither live nor win. That’s just the way it is.”

It would do well for Romney to keep these words in mind.
