Syndicated columnist Cal Thomas made a statement on Saturday’s Fox News Watch that is guaranteed to raise a few eyebrows.

JON SCOTT, HOST: And then there’s this guy Toure, he likes to go by one name, Toure Neblett on MSNBC. He’s the expert on race there apparently, and co-host of The Cycle. He accuses Mitt Romney of race-baiting using a word you may have heard at the top of the show. We’re not going to repeat it here. But how does he get away with that?

KIRSTEN POWERS, DAILY BEAST: I don’t know. And the thing that always bothers me about these things is that his examples of how Mitt Romney is allegedly this terribly racist person who is trying to, I’m not going to use the word, but portray black people in a certain way are kind of standard campaign attacks. There’s nothing in them that does not happen in every campaign, and yet suddenly when Mitt Romney’s doing to an African-American, it’s racist.

CAL THOMAS, SYNDICATED COLUMNIST: Well, there’s a redefinition of the word of course. An African-American cannot be a racist because they’re always cast by the media and liberal politicians as victims. So they can say whatever they want. On the other hand, an African-American president can divide racially in this country – as I believe this one has done quite effectively – and he gets a free pass from the media……..
