further in the upcoming issue of Esquire, saying that despite his 2008 campaign promises, Obama is “doing anything he possibly can to keep power. There’s no way he’s going to give it up.”

At the RNC in August, Eastwood, a five-time Academy Award winner, criticized the president largely about the economy and the estimated 23 million Americans out of work, and also stressed that the American people “own this country,” not the politicians, the “politicians are employees of ours.”
In the October issue of Esquire, Eastwood again expresses criticism of Obama. Eastwood mentions that Obama awarded him the Medal of the Arts but that he decided not to attend the ceremony.Eastwood says, “Can you imagine being him, surrounded by people all the time? I’d hate it. But he seems to like it. He seems to like what I’d hate, all the trappings of power. He said that if he failed in his first term, he wouldn’t seek a second.
Well, here he is – unemployment’s still up around 8 percent – and he’s doing anything he possibly can to keep power. There’s no way he’s going to give it up.”
