November 1, 2012; Why Pray? Why Now?

…..Here is the first artistic view of the Anti-Christ in the twentieth century. In the sixties, after living through a time of a SCOTUS decision in 1948 to “erect a wall of separation of church and state” based on a godless interpretation of a Jeffersonian letter to a Baptist church, through Eisenhower healing this by adding “Under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance, through the removal of prayer from schools to satisfy the offense of one woman, Madelyn Murray O’Hair, through collectivist left wing education and mind altering drugs and “Closing of the American Mind”, the artist and critic Marshal McLuhan proclaimed “Art is whatever you can get away with.”

A crucifix in urine and elephant dung smeared on the face of the Mother of God is proclaimed art. In other words, Blasphemy is Art. Predictably we hear a Vice-President explain his political style is based in the same nihilist trend: “There is no controlling legal authority.” In other words, we are agreed in principle to overthrow America.

The Spirit of the World – the Devil for those who have ears to hear—has broken down the absolute truths we in the West use to understand cultural sanity and cultural literacy which include the eternal verities. We need these truths in order to reason, to communicate with one another, to know what God expects from us in exchange for freedom, to know how to assign value and to know wisdom, how to know good from evil, how to prepare our minds to learn in order to succeed, to understand the scientific method and how to make music, how to dress, how to behave, how to honor women and children and families, how to work, how to win, how to love one’s father and mother and country, basically how to leave the world better than you found it, and how to know where you are going when you leave it. The Bible tells us God sent Jonah to Nineveh because that city was culturally insane. Nineveh “did not know its right hand from its left.” God repented of his judgment on Nineveh. He doesn’t always repent. He did not repent of destroying the Tower of Babel. He did not repent of destroying Sodom and Gomorrah because of its infamous perversion. He did not repent of the Diaspora – the scattering of his chosen people into captivity for centuries. And he may not repent of the Judgment and Delusion He has sent to America…..
