Pat Caddell gave a fantastic speech to Accuracy in Media on the media and how starting in the 1980s they stopped holding both sides to the same level of accountability.

He focuses a fair amount on Benghazi-gate but also mentions a few other things including the media’s silence on David Plouffe receiving $100k from an Iranian front group for giving 2 speeches. Caddell totally nails it by saying that the media has now become a danger to America and an enemy of the people.
