Inside Playboy’s Special Edition Showing Marilyn Monroe’s Nude Photos on 50th Anniversary of Her Death

This stunning collection of Marilyn Monroe in the nude has been released to mark the 50th anniversary of the tragic starlet’s death.

 

Playboy magazine has dug deep into its exclusive archive of 10 million photos to publish rare shots of the iconic beauty throughout her career.

‘It’s really all about the collection and the way its composed,’ said Jimmy Jellinek, Playboy’s editorial director.

 

‘This is the first time we’ve shown the totality of our collection, from the beginning to almost days before the end of her life. it showcases the arc of her life.’

 

Fifty years after her death, the world is still entranced by Miss Monroe. Playboy’s special package includes the features The Nude Marilyn, a carefully selected portfolio of photographs.

 

The package also features editorials by Roger Ebert and Kim Morgan, recollections from Playboy Publisher Hugh Hefner and an excerpt by novelist John Updike.

 

Playboy had a long relationship with Ms Monroe. The very first issue of Playboy featured Ms Monroe as the cover girl.

 

That famous photograph by Tom Kelley, with Monroe on red velvet cloth, was purchased by Hefner, and says Ebert, it would not be going too far to say it was the making of Hef’s new magazine.

Well, what about them? We all know what liberal Dems do – they want to tell us where we can live, what we can build on our property, take away our guns, tell us who we can hire, regulate our healthcare, take away our SUV’s and add layer upon layer of big government that will require more and more of our hard earned dollars. When next you sing the Hymn of Harvest Home, think kindly of our Pilgrim Fathers, for they were not “communists with a small c” nor any other kind of communists, Some conservative editors and commentators in recent years have given the impression that the Pilgrims were starry-eyed idealists intent upon founding a socialist utopia in the wilderness.

 

One such editor, zealous to refute socialism, has written: “Socialism is not a new experiment in the United States. Neither is Communism. The Socialist community was tried by the Pilgrims in New England over three hundred years ago. The dream of the Pilgrims didn’t work and the Mayflower Compact was a total failure.”

That is nutshell history as spurious as it is brief. It misrepresents the purpose of the Pilgrims and the results of their heroic strivings. It derives from a superficial appraisal of a statement by Governor William Bradford and a partial reading of the copious records left by the literate Pilgrims.

 

Stated in the simplest terms, and in their own language, the Pilgrims purposed to lay a good foundation for propagating and advancing the Gospel of the Kingdom of Christ in remote parts of the world. In order to make that possible, they sought financial backing from a group of venture capitalists in England. While in Holland, the Pilgrims gave much consideration to what part of the world they would settle and finally decided upon Northern Virginia, above Jamestown but below the Hudson River. Negotiations with a syndicate called the Merchants and Adventurers of London dragged on for three years. Finally in 1620 the Pilgrims wound up on the wrong end of a bad bargain.

As you can imagine, thousands of readers respond to my commentaries because they can see this immigration onslaught affecting their own communities. They see its effects in their stores with shop lifting and homes with burglaries, their schools with dramatic flunk out rates and violence, hospitals with anchor babies by the tens of thousands. They see churches turning from English to Spanish language along with radio stations and television stations serving millions of Spanish speakers. We now have Arabic language TV stationsin Islamic strongholds like Detroit.

Samuel Huntington, in The Clash of Civilizations, said, “It is my hypothesis that the fundamental source of conflict in this new world will not be primarily ideological or primarily economic. By his own admission George Orwell was a committed socialist. About a year before his death in 1950 Orwell responded to the leftist charge that his recently published novel 1984 represented a direct attack on both socialism and the British Labour Party. Orwell calmed the fears of his progressive friends with the following response:

If you’re a thief, there are a couple of warning signs that you should watch out for. A dog bowl and a leash in the front yard would tip you off that you’re probably going to get bitten. A sign that reads, “Trespassers will be shot!” is pretty self-explanatory.

The home of 77-year-old Lloyd McCarty is similarly filled with warning signs. He flies an American flag on the front porch, he has a U.S. Marine Corpspatch tacked to the wall, and he also keeps a framed picture of himself in his glory day as a Marine. If the home invader had noticed these clues then maybe he would have picked another house to rob.

According to reports, McCarty heard a knock on his door – a knock so light that it was suspicious — on Nov. 10. The shrewd veteran retrieved his .32-caliber pistol just in time to encounter the home invader breaking down his front door. With the casual devil-may-care attitude that only a war veterancan have, McCarty said, “He hit (the door) that hard and when he hit it that hard that’s when I shot the door. He went to a hollerin’ and screamin’. I could hear him going clear down the street hollerin.” He added, “Well, maybe I shoulda shot two or three times.”

However, something mysterious is happening again with the ceremony raising the eyebrows of some.
