Here’s one I received a few years ago from Marine Jim Ratliff, now deceased.

About four or five years ago when I was new to the net, I was soliciting stories for my Marine Vignettes/Tales Of The Corps webpages. I got an e-mail from Jim about that time, and he advised that he was then putting out a newsletter for H-3-5 News which was his old company from the Korean War days. His hands were full already w/the newsletter, but his newsletter contained many stories from H-3-5 Marines; and he invited me to post the stories to my webpages, if I would like to do so.

I e-mailed Jim back, “you bet, I want them!
I did post many of the H-3-5 stories, and they are still on Gunny G’s…for anyone who would like to see them. Jim had been successful in rounding up many of the Marines and Navy Corpsmen from his old H-3-5 days.

(Col Sellin) See Reader Responses… ~ Election Conspiracy? ~ (“Americans are no longer citizens of a republic, but subjects of a reigning oligarchy composed of self-serving politicians, who are subservient to international financiers and enabled by a dishonest and partisan press. The outcome of the 2012 Presidential election was determined by massive voter fraud. This was done in two ways (1) illegal voters and (2) erasing votes.”)

Press fear Obama private swearing in

December 7, 2012 15 comments

The White House Correspondents Association is strongly urging the Obama administration to allow press access to the president’s official swearing-in ceremony on Jan. 20, following indications from inauguration committee officials that the event could potentially be closed to the press.

“Mindful of the historic nature of this occasion, we expect the White House will continue the long tradition of opening the President’s official swearing-in to full press access, and we as an organization are looking forward to working with the administration to make that happen,” Ed Henry, the Fox News correspondent and president of the White House Correspondents Association, said in a statement.

Who elected Obama?

December 7, 2012 7 comments

Many Republicans seem ready to agree to Obama‘s demands for tax increases — after all, elections have consequences, and he won, right?

Maybe, but before agreeing to anything, the GOP should probably look a little more carefully at just who elected Obama.

Dr. Robert Vanderbei, a professor of Operations Research at Princeton, developed the visualization shown above by combining Democrat blue with GOP red according to popular vote proportions taken at the county level and printing the result as a 3D map in which apparent vertical height is a stand-in for the number of voters counted.

Peter Lemiska — A Eulogy for America
Posted on November 12, 2012

By Peter Lemiska November 8, 2012 1:00 pm

The long-awaited election is finally over. Half the country is elated, and the other half is numb. During the weeks leading up to the election, Republicans had been encouraged by pollsters and political analysts, who confidently announced that no President in recent history won re-election with a national unemployment rate over 7.2 percent. They showed poll after poll indicating that a significant majority of Americans believe we are on the wrong track. They pointed out that uncommitted voters inevitably break for the challenger in the final moments. They said it’s all about voter turnout, and concluded Republicans were much more likely to show up at the polls.

This should not have been a close election. All things considered, Barack Obama should have been easily defeated, especially by a challenger so experienced and imminently competent as Mitt Romney.

Now that the contentious campaign is over, there will be calls for reconciliation and unity, but they will fall on deaf ears. The divisiveness fueled by four years of class warfare and petty politics is not likely to heal anytime soon. And now that Obama has been given four more years, unencumbered by political considerations, he is free to impose his radical ideology with reckless abandon. It will only expand the schism. Any hope of reuniting the country vanished with Tuesday’s election.

We all want a prosperous America, but there are dark days ahead for the country. Obamacare remains intact, and most Americans will be stunned at the resulting higher costs and lower quality of care. Small businesses will curtail hiring because of its impact. Scandals like Solyndra, Fast and Furious, and Benghazi will remain buried. More will occur…..

Who made our children become Communists?
Posted on November 13, 2012

Our Politicians and Pundits don’t seem to understand that in this last election in November, 2012 we lost America to the Communists. We were defeated by Women, Young People, Blacks, Gays, Seniors, Environmentalists and Hispanics! We only won some old people and most of the white men. We can’t win any more serious elections because we are outnumbered so wake up and get it straight. The Communists will just gain stength in the next 4 years even if we go over a fiscal cliff. They know they will have Oblahma and his band of crooks for four more years. They will be printing money and giving things to their people even if we go into a depression. Then they will stop and the pigs won’t be able to do anything because they will already have been caught in the trap, It is too late for them and for the rest of us!

The Communists will control;

1. The Communists will control all of America’s schools from K12 through Doctoral Thesis. Americas children will come out of the end of their schooling as good little Communists ready to toe the line for whichever politician is in charge.

2. They control most of the judges in America and if they get two more Justices on the Supreme Court they will control that august body.

3. They control all of the Unions who bargain for government employees. And they control many of the Unions bargaining for private employees

4. Communists own most of the…..

How U.S. Economic Warfare Provoked Japan’s Attack on Pearl Harbor – Robert Higgs – Mises Daily

………..

Franklin D. Roosevelt

Roosevelt had already led the United States into war with Germany in the spring of 1941—into a shooting war on a small scale. From then on, he gradually increased U.S. military participation.

Japan‘s attack on December 7 enabled him to increase it further and to obtain a war declaration. Pearl Harbor is more fully accounted for as the end of a long chain of events, with the U.S. contribution reflecting a strategy formulated after France fell. . . .
