Rumor: Marine Corps Officers’ Wives Told to Stock Food, Water, and Some Cash
Posted: 09 Dec 2012 01:00 AM PST
My wife, through her network of girlfriends in Oceanside [California] was told yesterday that the Marine Corps Officer wives at Camp Pendleton were being told to stock up on food, water and cash in contingency for 7-10 days of possible disruption of normal shopping and electronic banking systems. They were also told to keep the gas tanks full of fuel.
This is very similar to what Cobra has said.
When Americans Understood the Declaration of Independence by Thomas DiLorenzo
…..If Americans ever began celebrating the real meaning of the Declaration of Independence, then they would embrace the Jeffersonian rights of secession and nullification as a means of fighting back against governmental tyranny.
They would also withdraw their support for the U.S. government’s aggressive wars of imperialism in the Middle East and elsewhere, along with its hundreds of military bases on every continent on the planet.
RadioFreedom.us » Jim DeMint: Why Republicans Must Become More Libertarian
“The new debate in the Republican party needs to be between conservatives and libertarians,” says Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.). “A lot of the libertarian ideas that Ron Paul is talking about…should not be alien to any Republican.”
Yet right after the 2010 midterm elections, the influential Tea Party favorite proclaimed that “you can’t be a fiscal conservative and not be a social conservative,” a comment that was widely viewed as a slap at libertarians. And South Carolina’s junior senator is also a staunch pro-lifer, has favored a constitutional ban on flag burning, and is on the record saying that gays shouldn’t be allowed to teach at public schools.

More recently, DeMint has been leaning libertarian. His new book, Now or Never: Saving America from Economic Collapse, is a warning to the nation that we need radical spending cuts (including putting defense spending on the table) or else face economic oblivion. And he was instrumental in getting Tea Party Republicans elected in 2010, including the most libertarian member of the caucus, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who also wrote the foreword to DeMint’s book.
Death by Government: The Missing Chapter by Thomas DiLorenzo
…….After familiarizing myself with this stomach-turning literature (you cannot really understand the essence of socialism without it), it struck me that there is a glaring omission. According to this scholarship, “democide” occurs because of a desire on the part of a ruling regime to eliminate its opposition; to eliminate all challenges to its “absolutist ideology”; to exterminate a social group whose very existence is incompatible with the regime’s goals or ideology; and often occurs disguised by a war or a rebellion that provides a convenient excuse.
A Time For Mutiny?

06/01/06 “Information Clearing House” — – The United States Marine Corps was already on it’s last legs as an elite fighting force, our reputation sullied by the dishonorable and sometimes criminal actions perpetrated by bottom of the barrel Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers in Iraq. Now this. We are now observing the death throes of the oldest fighting force in America.
We had a good run, from November 10, 1775 to 2006. These dates may now be etched into the tombstone of an institution that has epitomized the meaning of the phrase “Duty, Honor, Country.” Sure, we had our warts over the decades, but somehow our leaders throughout the many wars we fought managed to pull back from the brink and handle our problems internally. No more. From the Commandant on down, with this incident, this atrocity, the Corps has shown the world that it is now leaderless. The Marine Corps is now in the same league with the American Division in My Lai, Vietnam and a Lieutenant by the name of Calley. Murderers.
Pearl Harbor: Hawaii Was Surprised; FDR Was Not by James Perloff
…..So much official secrecy continues to surround the translations of the intercepted Japanese naval dispatches that it is not known if the foregoing message was sent to McCollum or seen by FDR. It is not even known who originally translated the intercept. One thing, however, is certain: The message’s significance could not have been lost on the translator.

1941 also witnessed the following:
On January 27th, our ambassador to Japan, Joseph Grew, sent a message to Washington stating: “The Peruvian Minister has informed a member of my staff that he has heard from many sources, including a Japanese source, that in the event of trouble breaking out between the United States and Japan, the Japanese intended to make a surprise attack against Pearl Harbor with all their strength….”
More Phony Employment Numbers ~ “The Unemployment Rate is 22.9% Paul Craig Roberts on the Establishment cover-up.”
Statistician John Williams (shadowstats.com) calls the government’s latest jobs and unemployment reports “nonsense numbers.”
There are a number of ongoing problems with the released numbers. For example, the concurrent-seasonal factor adjustments are unstable. The birth-death model adds non-existent jobs each month that are then taken out in the annual downward benchmark revisions.
Williams calculates that the job overstatement through November averages 45,000 monthly. In other words, employment gains during 2012 have been overstated by about 500,000 jobs. Another problem is that each month’s jobs number is boosted by downside revision of the previous month’s jobs number.
The Only Thing Left for the Republican Party is its Obituary

Despite its own insistence that it is very much alive, the Republican Party has now joined the crowd invisible.
The sad pathetic truth of its demise is that those who once believed in it, and cared deeply for it, are no longer around to bury it with dignity. Its corpse has now become the dancing play thing of Washington D.C. consulting firms and lobbyist.
Gunny G: Do Marines Surrender?
Note:
I have been online since about 1997 (at that time with my WebTV) and most of my postings at that time were on the topic of USMC history and/or related subjects.
Even though I always had my own websites, blogs, bulletin boards, forums–call them what you will…I did a lot of posting to bulletin boards/forums around the net; consequently, much of my stuff is out there somewhere in cyberspace or lost.
The following is an example of such.
And, many of my sites have gone belly-up over the years, for one reason or another.
I do, occasionally find some of my old stuff while cruising about the net, and when i do so i usually just go ahead and blog it, else I’ll likely never find it again.

Do Marines Surrender? A controversial subject.
Now and then this question comes up, but usually Marines seem to have little in the way of facts for their assumptions, etc. Nor is there a complete summing up of the subject in any one place under one title; but the info is out there, though somewhat piecemeal. George Smith’s book, “Carlson’s Raid,” devotes an entire chapter, for instance, to the surrender note controversy re Carlson’s attempted surrender during the Makin Raid of 17-18 August 1942.
Yes, Marines have surrendered. It’s just one more aspect of the profession of arms.
Most notably, there have been occurances of such for the Marine Corps, in the opening days of World War Two at Guam, the Phillipines, Wake Island, and China. And then there was the little-known, for many years, surrender attempt during the Makin Island Raid.
Arabs team with Russia, China to push Internet control
Certain Arab nations have teamed up with Russia and China to attempt to place the World Wide Web under the control of the International Telecommunications Union.
At the World Conference on International Telecommunications currently meeting in Dubai Dec. 3-14, a group of Arab states along with Russia and China proposed that nations strictly control Internet companies, leading many critics, especially in the United States, to charge that the proposal would severely hamper Internet freedom.
A Firsthand Account of the Most Extraordinary Battle in the Afghan War (Dakota Meyer, MOH)
No, this is not a rush-to-press account of the recent disgrace in Benghazi, but if you think Libya was a unique screw-up during the Obama administration, Into the Fire — the story of the Battle of Ganjigal, by Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer and war correspondent extraordinaire Bing West — will change your perception.
As Benghazi and Ganjigal show, it’s the unwritten policy of the Obama administration that civilian lives come before the lives of American soldiers, even when there is only a slim chance bystanders will be killed.

Dakota Meyer speaks with Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) the honorable Ray Mabus before an induction ceremony at the Hall of Heros in the Pentagon. I first learned of Meyer’s story while reading West’s masterful The Wrong War, a scathing critique of how the Afghan war has become more of an ill-conceived welfare plan than an anti-terrorism fight.
Black-Eyed Children, don’t invite them into your home
Imagine this. You and your better half are on your way home after a late night out on the town. You pull into a convenience store, and you wait in the car while he runs in for something. You’re sitting there in the dark waiting for him to return when suddenly you get an inexplicable, overwhelming feeling of terror.
You sit up a little straighter and glance toward the driver’s side window. There staring in at you are two children – but not just any children. These are “Black Eyed Children,” and they want to get into the car with you.

Net of prior-period revisions, November’s seasonally-adjusted monthly gain was 97,000.”

2. Warrantless home surveillance. Just in case you still think there must be some limit on how the authorities can surveil you, there’s this — a federal agency, not the police, but the larger point stands.
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled that it is legal for a law enforcement agent to enter your house and videotape you without your consent. The case, United States v. Wahchumwah, revolved around a U.S. Fish and Wildlife undercover agent who recorded Wahchumwah without a warrant. The Ninth Circuit found the search to be “voluntary,” which led the EFF to write on its Web site:
