During an ABC Nightline interview broadcast on December 26, 2012, President Barack Obama said that one benefit of his re-election was the ability “to have men with guns around at all times.” This week, Obama signed a bill extending armed Secret Service protection for former US presidents to the remainder of their natural lives.

 

I’m sure the irony of all this juxtaposed against his ongoing effort to disarm law-abiding Americans has not escaped the reader.

On January 3, Keith Ratliff, a 32 year-old firearms enthusiast, was found fatally shot in the head in his Carnesville, Georgia home. Police are investigating the case as a homicide. Ratliff’s YouTube channel for fellow firearm enthusiasts was ranked as one of the top 10 channels on YouTube, with 3.4 million subscribers and more than 537 million views.

 

Although I have no proof, my inclination is to suspect that the Obama administration or one of its surrogates is responsible for Ratliff’s death, the first of many such executions that will take place in order to silence individuals whom the government deems a threat to their oligarchical collectivist agenda.

We – and here I mean everyone from the water cooler to the radio mic – need to stop talking about politicians being ignorant of firearms laws, crime, and the Second Amendment. They know the realities of these things quite well; their rhetoric is propaganda calculated to deceive those they have helped to render ignorant on those very subjects. The objective is an unarmed populace, unable to resist a tyrannical government. How many times do we have to say it?

 

On January 7, radio personality Glenn Beck advised his listeners “For those of you who are still playing the political game, I suggest you stop.” He also referenced having come by information concerning “GOP operatives” who are involved in things “so shady” that “it will probably destroy the GOP.”

 

Americans can no longer look to the minority of virtuous men and women among Republicans in office; these have been sold out by Republican leaders who have either accepted or endorsed the makeover of America into a socialist state. The trial balloon launched this week by Vice President Joe Biden vis-à-vis the President using the Executive Order to regulate guns was calculated to determine the public’s reaction to unilateral action on the part of Obama.

 

The only people upon which Americans can depend will be each other, private organizations, and a few intrepid state and county officials. Days ago, Sheriff Denny Peyman of Jackson County Kentucky said that his office “will not comply with any federal action which violates the United States Constitution or the Kentucky Constitution which I swore to uphold.”……
