WHY WE CANNOT “RESTORE” OUR REPUBLIC!
4 July 2013
“COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM (THE HERD) AND BE SEPARATE”!
Most people, I think, have little, if any, understanding of what has happened to our country in recent years because they simply do not know our history, our true history that is. Those who call themselves “patriots” and “conservatives,” for instance, lament the state of our “Republic” and the hue and cry goes out to “Restore” the Republic, etc.
The long and the short of that one is, for me, that you cannot restore what has never been. Liberty and Freedom are simply myths and illusions.
Most schools and universities do not provide an honest review of American history, and it has only been since the blessing of the Internet the last few years that more and more actual information has found its way into the hands of those who actually seek the truth.
But how can I say such a thing? Certainly the old timers among us are fond of telling us all about the good old days when patriotism, freedom and liberty flourished. And I can certainly can see why we have all believed this to one degree or another over time. But I now call this sort of thing the old “the older I get, the better I was syndrome.”
To be sure, a steadily decreasing degree of relatively seeming freedom prevailed back in pre–WW II days, and the ’50s; but generally most seem to agree that something occurred back sometime in the ’60s when things began their turn for the worse.
But let’s back up a little now and take a look at what many good researchers and writers have discovered about our true history. In short, we have been humbugged–lied to, flim-flammed, etc.–call it what you will.
and many others point out that the Constitutional Convention of the late 1780s was in fact a coup d’etat of our then first constitution, the Articles of Confederation. The AOC was a constitution of minimum government w/NO branches of government such as Executive, Judicial and Legislative; and consequently, no alphabet-soup federal agencies, etc.
The delegates to that convention were authorized only to update the articles, not replace them. George Washington presided over this event which met in secret behind locked doors in . Washington, and principally wanted a big federal government with veto powers for the over the sovereign states which were in fact countries in their own right. This they did not achieve; not initially, anyway.
Many of the delegates departed the convention in disgust early after learning what was being planned. Eventually, the Bill of Rights was added to our present constitution in order to get it ratified. Washington and Hamilton, and others, were not finished, however, and they continued their quest for a strong federal government and reducing the power of the separate states. Little by little they worked within the new government and constitution to effect in changes that would allow big government.
Washington in his first term moved forward on new tax laws, and became the first and last (See Dr Ed Rivera’s writings. And so, on and on through the years. to personally lead armed forces in the field against Americans, the .
A major turning point was Lincoln’s Civil War (so-called) against Americans of the south, which effectively ended states rights.
Numerous further milestones have occurred and never ceased to this day.
Ron Holland has called for a return to our first constitution, the Articles Of Confederation as our only means to rid ourselves of the evils of big government and establish order in America. I, for one, believe he is correct.
Today government has permeated all aspects of our personal lives; and there is more to come; much more.
But, if we are to do as we are entitled, no, required to do by the Declaration of Independence, we must first, I think, bring to justice once and for all those responsible and complicit for our present situation. They must not just walk away at some point Scot-free, etc.
Justice must be prevail swiftly and surely; and punishment must be public. Otherwise, the door will be left wide open once again for more and worse of the same madness; and the confidence of the people will remain non-existent.
