Wow! I experienced it first hand. I wrote an article defending the biblical take on an issue. The mainstream media misquoted me – took my words out of context to portray me as someone I am not – a rabid hater.

Recklessly, without reading my original article to learn what I actually said, several news sources re-printed a reporter’s distortion of my article.Folks, I have no problem standing up for what I believe or even being hated for it. But, the media had thousands hating me for something I never said. Associates became nervous about being associated with me. Public figures began denouncing me.

It was a very stressful situation. My stress did not come from the Left hating me.

The urban political machine was born in New York but died in Chicago. It’s no longer a separate entity from the rest of the country; one of the inconveniences of urban life along with smog, muggings and excessive regulation. The urban political machine has gone national. It’s here. It’s there. It’s everywhere.

You may disapprove of New York’s soda ban or Chicago’s love affair with gun control or Los Angeles’ pandering to illegal aliens; but what happens in the country’s blighted metropolises no longer stays there.

You can live surrounded by ten thousand acres of wilderness on one side and the deep blue sea on the other and it will still find you because the urban political machine has gone national.

Did Black People Own Slaves?

The Root ^ | 3/4/2013

One of the most vexing questions in African-American history is whether free African Americans themselves owned slaves. The short answer to this question, as you might suspect, is yes, of course; some free black people in this country bought and sold other black people, and did so at least since 1654, continuing to do so right through the Civil War. For me, the really fascinating questions about black slave-owning are how many black “masters” were involved, how many slaves did they own and why did they own slaves?

On a dark day in our nation’s history -September 28, 1868- a mob of crazed, racist Democrats slaughtered 300+ African-American Republicans at Opelousas, Louisiana

The gruesome series of events was started when a group of Democrats attacked a newspaper editor, a white Republican and school-teacher of ex-slaves.

Exclusive: Erik Rush charges Obama et al. with ‘lobotomizing’ African-Americans

Once upon a time in America’s black communities, distinctions were indeed made between a “black man” and a “nigger.” Any black person who denies this is either very young, or they’re lying in an attempt to validate the current liberal racial orthodoxy.

It probably isn’t of much use to belabor the fact that not only is Barack Hussein Obama not the post-racial president people hoped and claimed he would be (whatever that is), but that he and his political ilk have created a more racially divided and racially tense atmosphere than we have seen since before the Civil Rights Movement.

The Five Black Presidents of The United States Of America « CITIZEN.BLOGGER.1984+ GUNNY.G BLOG.EMAIL

Joel A. Rogers and Dr. Auset Bakhufu have both written books documenting that at least five former presidents of the United States had Black people among their ancestors.

If one considers the fact that European men far outnumbered European women during the founding of this country, and that the rape and impregnation of an African female slave was not considered a crime, it is even more surprising that these two authors could not document Black ancestors among an ever larger number of former presidents.

Selma, Alabama has been the scene of yet another attempt at cultural genocide in the South recently. The situation is still ongoing and the cultural Marxists are having a field day, thanks to a compliant “news” media.

There was a monument, with a bust of General Nathan Bedford Forrest on it in Selma. Last March the bust was stolen off the monument. However, efforts are now underway to restore and improve the monument. And here is an important point, according to http://www.exploresouthernhistory.com “The site on which the monument stands is owned by the United Daughters of the Confederacy and is private property, but open to the public.” So the bust was stolen off private property, not property that belonged to the city.

I try not to watch the MSM very often, but today I tuned into Glenn Beck for his “Founders Friday” program. Sadly, it turned out to be nothing more than a pitch to the multiculturalists where he praised the efforts of black Americans throughout history, particularly in the War for Independence. Beck and his guest David Barton were groveling at the feet of those who demand that history should be studied from month to month, each month honoring some ethnic minority wronged by evil white males, past and present.

any church refusing to perform a ceremony can lose it’s tax-exempt status. This situation would be analogous to cases where churches post Civil Right refused interracial marriage. The Supreme Court upheld any church refusing to perform a legal marriage would lose tax-exempt status.

Pastors refusing to perform these ceremonies which go against the clear word of God could also be sued personally for damages and attorney fees under Civil Rights law. Homosexuals have tried to make their campaign analagous to the struggle of African Americans. A host of legal protections is what they truly want.

And yes, blacks have suffered greatly in America. My 84 year old dad’s heart still bears deep scares from racism he experienced in his youth. The Ultimate Appeal to Persuade Fellow Blacks to Stop Voting Democrat

American Thinker ^ | 05/01/2012 | Lloyd MarcusPosted on Tuesday, May 01, 2012 9:31:14 AM by SeekAndFind

Candidly, I have struggled with this for years — how best to explain why I am a black conservative and why fellow black Americans should join me.I served on a board with an extremely bright black mom. Both of her kids, a boy and a girl, are brilliant; her son received a full scholarship to Yale. This black mom is well-read on “whiny” black liberal authors and philosophers.

I am talking about the majority of black authors you see featured on mainstream TV. They sound extremely intellectual, explaining how white America is still systematically abusing blacks and why more heavily funded government programs are the answer. I feel like screaming at my TV, “Knock it off! Bottom line is you hate white people and are seeking more entitlement government freebies!” Such needy victim rhetoric has nothing to do with, nor does it achieve, real black empowerment. Frankly, these people turn my stomach.

As I said, the black mom is extremely well-read on victimhood-peddling black authors and has never heard of brilliant black conservatives Professor Walter Williams and Dr. Thomas Sowell.Professor Walter E. Williams is an American economist and academic.

He is the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University, as well as a syndicated columnist.Dr. Thomas Sowell is an American economist, social theorist, political philosopher, and author of 30 books. Dr. Sowell is currently a Rose and Milton Friedman Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

Both these guys are about “real” black empowerment, teaching personal responsibility, education, hard work, and morality — not the standard blacks-are-eternal-victims and white-America-owes-us garbage spouted by black pundits on TV. Thus, you never see Prof. Williams or Dr. Sowell on mainstream TV.

Now, though, he has three plus years as president under his belt. He has the executive experience he lacked in 2008. And incumbents are generally reelected. If he gets bounced by someone who has no presidential experience wouldn’t that be even more racist?”

Matthews further suggested that “to judge him by white standards seems inappropriate. The whole notion that a person ought to excel or achieve—isn’t that what people of color call ‘acting white?’ Shouldn’t breaking this stereotype be one of the objectives of America’s first non-white Chief Executive?

1,018 Black Americans murdered by Black Americans since Trayvon Martin’s death 47 days ago

But who’s counting?

To be exact, the shameful truth is that 93% of African-American murders are committed by other African-Americans. That is breathtakingly awful when you consider how incensed the African-American community is about the Trayvon tragedy, no matter what you believe about Zimmerman’s guilt.

Let’s do the gruesome math, not out of morbidity, but because it manifests the incredible self-centered insanity of people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

8,000-9,000 African-Americans are murdered each year.

93% of them by other African-Americans.

Obama’s America: Why Black Grievance Will Never End

April 11, 2012 1 comment

When I was 12 years old, I used to play tennis at a certain public park in the Bronx. One day it got back to me that a black fellow at the courts, whose name I forget, said, “Selwyn doesn’t like black people.” This raised my eyebrows.

You see, I had never really thought about the man one way or the other. And what occupied my mind were forehands, backhands, topspin, and volleys, not race. So the only thing I could figure was that I was probably in a funk one day and didn’t hear and acknowledge a greeting he might have extended. Whatever the perceived slight, race was a factor. After all, imagine the reaction if he had been white. At worst, he might have thought, “Selwyn is a self-absorbed brat,” which would have been closer to the truth.

It’s high time we, the majority, take our country back:

When certain individuals began chanting their mantra of ‘take our country back’, the rest of us hoped that it wasn’t a subliminal message to strip away this nation’s advancements and take us back to some sort of Jim Crow era. But in such a short span of time in office, many conservative elected officials have proved that their goal is precisely to implement regressive measures that begin to chip away at the core of the fundamental constructs of the civil rights movement. The latest enactment of voter ID laws across the country are a prime example of how the right is attempting to wrong us all.

Obama is not the cool, calm, and collected guy that he portrays publicly; he’s far from it. Obama is described privately as a thin-skinned hot-head when it comes to questioning his policies, or anything else, for that matter.

Though there has been a slight shift upward in Obama’s poll numbers, Obama knows the real temperature of the American people. Here are 10 indicators as to why Obama will have sleepless nights leading up to the election of 2012:1.

Obama started African Americans for Obama. When blacks supposedly voted at 95 percent for Obama in the last election, one has to question his motives in starting this group. The answer is that Obama’s poll numbers among blacks have fallen back to their lowest point, a clear sign that Obama is feeling the pressure.

If Obama loses his street cred amongst blacks, he will likely be abandoned by other groups. Obama must have the “race” element in 2012, even though the black vote will be much less significant in 2012. By the way, how would the media have covered “White Americans for McCain?”

Prison Planet.com » Revealed: US Government Program Secretly Injected Citizens with Plutonium, Uranium

February 22, 2012 1 comment

In a secret program that is now admitted to be true, the United States government injected unknowing human ‘participants’ with highly toxic plutonium. It sounds like a bizarre torture scenario that you’d expect to see blamed on illegal terror organizations, but the individuals behind this crime are actually doctors working for the United States government. Disregarding the health of innocent citizens, the government testers were eager to see how unknowing participants suffered as a result of secret plutonium injection.

It began in 1945, when an employee at the Oak Ridge Nuclear Facility was in a car accident. Ebb Cade survived, but was taken in as a human participant in a disturbing study he did not consent to. It is important to note that this man was a fifty-three-year-old African American, as previous government trials have singled out African Americans and other minorities. The racist sterilization programs occurred between 1929 to 1974 under an admitted eugenics programs that officials claimed were ‘creating a better society’. Most victims were poor, black women who were ‘deemed unfit to be parents’. Individuals as young as 10 were sterilized simply for not getting along with schoolmates or being promiscuous, and many parents were misled into sterilizing their children.

Ebb Cade was taken and bound to a bed with a broken arm and leg, where doctors interviewed him regarding his current state of health. After determining he was in a state of proper health, doctors secretly injected him with 4.7 micrograms of plutonium on Aptil 10th. It is still unknown who exactly ordered the program within the U.S. government, as they have managed to disassociate themselves with the entire nefarious program. At the time of the injection, scientists were perfectly aware of the negative effects associated with radiation. With cancers and radiation sickness on the rise, these scientists knew exactly what they were doing — examining the effects of plutonium isotopes on living beings.

Prior to the tests on Cade, the scientists injected animals with plutonium and noted the severe adverse effects. In some cases, animals were even fed radioactive waste. In fact, one scientist received a face full of gas and required his stomach to be pumped along with a full face scrub in an attempt to eliminate the threat. The scientists made sure that they were given the full treatment after the exposure. Meanwhile, they were injecting individuals with plutonium.

Scientists took excretions from Cade over the next five days to see how much plutonium retained in his body. They also refused to set his broken bones until April 15th, and cut samples from the bone before doing so to examine the plutonium content in his bone tissue. Fifteen of his teeth were pulled for testing. After all of this, they never informed Cade what they were doing. One nurse said that the tortured Cade escaped in the middle of the night, and he was later found to die in 1953 of heart failure.

Sadly, Cade was not the last test experiment.

Three human experiments followed, all cancer patients seeking treatment. Instead of treatment, the patients were injected with deadly plutonium in order for government scientists to see the effects. A man in his sixties with lung cancer, a woman in her fifties with breast cancer, and a “young man” with Hodgkin’s lymphoma were all given the poison. Conveniently, the third patient’s records are not available. He was injected with fifteen times more than any other individual, at 95 micrograms.

Racism? Depends Who’s Talking About It

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

…..The Black Congressional Caucus has been increasingly vocal regarding their unhappiness with President Obama. In remarks at its annual Phoenix Awards dinner on September 24, the President said, “I expect all of you to march with me and press on. Take off your slippers, put on your marching shoes. Stop complaining, stop grumbling, (and) stop crying.” It is hard to imagine a white President saying such things as Obama strove to rally his audience.

For anyone familiar with the history of race and politics in America, the loyalty of black Americans to the Democratic Party is astonishing. During the years of FDR’s New Deal, civil rights for blacks were not on the agenda. Even the years following World War Two when two million blacks served in a segregated military, the Democratic Party—especially in the “solid South”—opposed any civil rights legislation. It took the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963 to finally get a bill passed.

For my part, I think Obama has done incalculable harm to any current or future black candidate for the presidency. He had an opportunity to address the nation’s problems of unemployment and debt, and he gave all Americans, black, Hispanic, and white, more unemployment and debt. It’s unfair, but black candidates will likely have to work twice as hard to overcome his legacy.,,,MORE,,,,,

Obama to CBC: ‘You can’t stop marching’

September 25, 2011 Leave a comment

Against a backdrop of slipping support among African Americans and widely acknowledged tension with black members of Congress, President Barack Obama delivered a fiery defense of his record at a Congressional Black Caucus gala Saturday night.

Judging by the audience’s reaction — the president’s words often brought the crowd to their feet — Obama went a long way toward silencing his critics.

Like a minister preaching to a restive choir, Obama used familiar cultural touchstones to remind the audience of his roots, including Biblical references, a rhythmic cadence and his own humble beginnings as the son of a single mother who sometimes relied on food stamps. He then challenged his naysayers with a list of legislative accomplishments that he said will uplift African American communities: middle-class tax breaks, money for college education and summer jobs programs.

Ask the family struggling to make ends meet if that extra few hundred dollars in their mother’s paycheck from the payroll tax cut we passed made a difference. They’ll tell you,” he said. “Ask them how much that Earned Income Tax Credit or that Child Tax Credit makes a difference in paying the bills at the end of the month.”

But he also framed the growing complaints that he hasn’t done enough for poor and working-class blacks — brought into sharp relief in a CBC-sponsored “jobs tour” that drew tens of thousands of unemployed workers in cities like Atlanta, Cleveland and Detroit this summer — with images of the civil rights movement, where marchers “pressed on” for years despite setbacks, frustration and sometimes violent opposition.

Washington (CNN) — While acknowledging the hard-hit black community and budding criticisms in its ranks, President Barack Obama said in a speech Saturday night to the Congressional Black Caucus that he wouldn’t give up — and urged members of the black community to join him to jump-start the still-sluggish economy.

“I expect all of you to march with me, and press on,” Obama said. “… Stop complaining, stop grumbling, stop crying. We are going to press on. We’ve got work to do.” The unemployment rate among African-Americans is 16.7%, nearly double the national average, while 40% of black children live in poverty.

Such facts have made fiscal reforms a priority for caucus members, some of whom — most of them Democrats — have criticized Obama for not doing enough on the issue.

They include Rep. Maxine Waters, D-California, who at a caucus “jobs’ tour town hall” in Detroit this month described the unemployment rate among blacks “unconscionable.” She said the strategy to fix it was unclear, adding that the caucus was “getting tired” of waiting for one. She questioned the president’s decision to focus on the Midwest during a three-day jobs bus tour in August, stating that the 3 million who live in Iowa — and are mostly white — are roughly equal in number to the African-Americans who are out of work.

She suggested that Obama’s administration seemed more keen to focus on that politically important state than on the black community. “Are the unemployed in the African-American community, including almost 45% of its youth, as important as the people of Iowa?” she asked in the statement she released ahead of the president’s speech before a joint session of Congress in which he announced his jobs…

Cherokee Indians: We are free to oust blacks

September 16, 2011 1 comment

The nation’s second-largest Indian tribe said on Tuesday that it would not be dictated to by the U.S. government over its move to banish 2,800 African Americans from its citizenship rolls.

“The Cherokee Nation will not be governed by the BIA,” Joe Crittenden, the tribe’s acting principal chief, said in a statement responding to the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Crittenden, who leads the tribe until a new principal chief is elected, went on to complain about unnamed congressmen meddling in the tribe’s self-governance.

The reaction follows a letter the tribe received on Monday from BIA Assistant Secretary Larry Echo Hawk, who warned that the results of the September 24 Cherokee election for principal chief will not be recognized by the U.S. government if the ousted members, known to some as “Cherokee Freedmen,” are not allowed to vote.

The dispute stems from the fact that some wealthy Cherokee owned black slaves who worked on their plantations in the South. By the 1830s, most of the tribe was forced to relocate to present-day Oklahoma, and many took their slaves with them. The so-called Freedmen are descendants of those slaves.

After the Civil War, in which the Cherokee fought for the South, a treaty was signed in 1866 guaranteeing tribal citizenship for the freed slaves.

The U.S. government said that the 1866 treaty between the Cherokee tribe and the U.S. government guaranteed that the slaves were tribal citizens, whether or not they had a Cherokee blood relation.

The African Americans lost their citizenship last month when the Cherokee Supreme Court voted to support the right of tribal members to change the tribe’s constitution on citizenship matters.

‘Back when we were Negroes’

September 5, 2011 Leave a comment

There was a time until the early 1960s when the terms to describe those of African decent, like me — African-American or Black or Afro-American — were almost unheard of.

I remember a distinct conversation with a friend discussing descriptive terms for ourselves in 1963 or ’64. The term “black” was just coming into vogue and he didn’t like it one bit. “Call me a Negro,” he said, “but don’t call me black.”

Now, the word “Negro” (publications used a lower case “n”) has almost become a pejorative, so I was a little surprised when my pastor, the Rev. Willie Reid, used it during Thursday’s revival. “Back when we were Negroes,” he said, and listed several things that were different about black life in America back then.

That got me to thinking. Back when we were Negroes in the 1950s, “only 9 percent of black families with children were headed by a single parent,” according to “The Black Family: 40 Years of Lies” by Kay Hymowitz. “Black children had a 52 percent chance of living with both their biological parents until age 17. In 1959, “only 2 percent of black children were reared in households in which the mother never married.” But now that we’re African-Americans, according to Hymowitz, those odds of living with both parents had “dwindled to a mere 6 percent” by the mid-1980s.

Is The Congressional Black Caucus Purposely…Aggravating Racial Divide For Violent Resistance

August 31, 2011 Leave a comment

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) have been on tour across America. In their talks, they have been saying some very inflammatory things. Naked Emperor News has compiled them into one video:

The video itself is outrageous and plenty of bloggers like Gateway Pundit and Patterico, even outfits like The Blaze, simply post it will little or no comment……………..

Obama Loses Beer Buddy

Obama Loses Beer Buddy:

“The webzine edited by Henry Louis Gates Jr. has published an article suggesting that blacks not be so emotionally invested in President Obama.

It’s written by Michael Arceneaux and entitled ‘Breaking Up With Boyfriend Barack’. It appears in today’s (Aug. 16) edition of The Root.

Arceneaux notes that (official) unemployment for African-Americans is double that of whites at 15.9 percent.

He points out that Obama’s approval rate among blacks is down to 85 percent.

Gates was the famous participant at the ‘beer summit‘ held in July 24, 2009 which came after Obama made uninformed comments in defense of Gates who had been charged with disorderly conduct after police found him trying to break into his Cambridge, Mass. home from which he locked himself out, and he threw a fit upon being asked to identify himself.

Obamageddon Coming to a City Near You?

July 13, 2011 Leave a comment

The election of the first African-American president was widely hailed as a giant step forward for American racial politics. The future, however, may remember this administration as a giant step back for Black America during a period of deepening alienation, anger and despair in America’s inner cities.

Not since the 1960s, when scores of American cities were shaken by one race riot after another, have African-Americans faced such deadly conditions: high expectations and hopes running up against a reality of vanishing jobs, shrinking government budgets and a fractured and fragmented leadership. Barring an unlikely change in economic fortunes we could soon face a new period of explosive anger and even violence; alternatively, the urban poor could fall prey to a new kind of passive despair and anomie as hope dies on one inner city street after another.

Either way, the mainstream press’s slowly fading intoxication with the Obama administration has led it to miss the dimensions of the new urban crisis now stalking the United States. The liberal Reagan, they swooned back in the good old days. No — the new FDR! No, wait! The new Lincoln!

But as the rosy glow surrounding the administration and all its works slowly dies away, many Americans will be taken aback at the urban crisis that quietly and unostentatiously took shape while the fatuously exhilarated press choirs sang about the hope and the change that was coming our way.

Black America vs. Obama? by Patrick J. Buchanan

July 12, 2011 Leave a comment

One explanation for this surely is the wave of foreclosures on subprime mortgages, a large share of which were held by African-Americans.

But while unemployment among white men has surged in the Great Recession, among black men it has hit 16 percent, the highest level since the Department of Labor began to keep records in 1972.

Ominously, things are likely to get worse, because Bill Clinton’s assertion, “The era of big government is over!” is today palpably true.

Not only in Wisconsin, Ohio and New Jersey, run by Republicans, is this so, but in liberal mega-states like New York and California. There, Govs. Andrew Cuomo and Jerry Brown run the show, and government payrolls are also being slashed and government pensions pared back.

America’s New Racists by Walter E. Williams

America’s New Racists by Walter E. Williams:

“Born in 1936, I’ve lived through some of our openly racist history, which has included racist insults, beatings and lynchings. Tuskegee Institute records show that between the years 1880 and 1951, 3,437 blacks and 1,293 whites were lynched.

I recall my cousin’s and my being chased out of Fishtown and Grays Ferry, two predominantly Irish Philadelphia neighborhoods, in the 1940s, not stopping until we reached a predominantly black North or South Philly neighborhood.

Today all that has changed. Most racist assaults are committed by blacks. What’s worse is there’re blacks, still alive, who lived through the times of lynching, Jim Crow laws and open racism who remain silent in the face of it.”

Herman Cain: ‘It’s Not Planned Parenthood — No, It’s Planned Genocide’

March 15, 2011 Leave a comment

Likely Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain supports ending all federal funding to Planned Parenthood, an abortion business that he said was founded to target African Americans and is continuing that mission.

“Here’s why I support de-funding Planned Parenthood, because you don’t hear a lot of people talking about this, when Margaret Sanger – check my history – started Planned Parenthood, the objective was to put these centers in primarily black communities so they could help kill black babies before they came into the world,” Cain told CNSNews.com on Tuesday when speaking at the conservative Heritage Foundation.Cain’s comment was in response to a question from CNSNews.com about whether the Republican-controlled Congress should vote against any federal tax dollars for Planned Parenthood.“You don’t see that talked that much about,” said Cain.

“It’s not Planned Parenthood. No, it’s planned genocide. You can quote me on that.”

Political Narratives On Race, Southern Identity Influence National Elections

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

“In 2004, then-Senator Zell Miller, a Democrat, gave a speech at the Republican National Convention that garnered widespread attention for its angry tone and its refutation of the Democratic Party as representing Southern interests. Following Miller’s speech, Republicans and Democrats spun competing political narratives about the American South.”

“The Republicans portrayed Southerners as rural, loyal to their party, God-fearing, pragmatic and family-oriented people who had learned their lesson about racial prejudice,” Moss says. “Democrats highlighted the South’s history of racial strife, intolerance and resistance to change. However, both narratives painted a picture of a predominantly white Southern electorate, giving little voice to the African-American population.

“One factor in Obama’s later success in the South may have been his ability, as an African-American, to cut through those competing narratives and allow African-American Southerners to regain a political identity.”The two narratives in 2004 effectively reinforced the idea that political power rested primarily in the hands of white voters.

“The narratives effectively marginalized African-Americans,” Moss says, “by defining the South’s regional identity in terms of how whites have handled political power.”Excerpt Read more at news.ncsu.edu …

Prez Says “Tea Party” Movement Racist

March 6, 2011 Leave a comment

In a new book—Family of Freedom: Presidents and African Americans in the White House, by Newsweek reporter Kenneth Walsh—President Barack Obama is said to have characterized the so-called Tea Party movement as “racist.”At a White House dinner party for political supporters the President pointed out that “the preceding 43 white presidents never had to face the kind of opposition I’ve had to face with these tea baggers.

I find it very telling that such a movement only came to life after the first Black man took control of the government.”“I mean, there have been some inept white men running the show,” the President continued. “I wouldn’t expect these right-wingers to go after guys like Reagan or Bush. But what about Jimmy Carter? Stagflation, gas lines, hostages—they were all on his watch. But he got a pass because he’s white. I think if we look closely at the facts the only coherent explanation we can come up with is racism.”In related news, US Attorney General Eric Holder in testimony before a House Committee defended his decision to drop voter intimidation charges against two Black Panthers who accosted voters at a Philadelphia polling place in the 2008 election. “There’s still a long way to go before the scales of justice are balanced for my people,” Holder argued. “Call me when whites are getting hanged by Black lynch mobs.

That’s serious intimidation.

But two guys with clubs outside a voting booth—give me a break, that’s nothing.”

Obama Says Race a Key Component in Tea Party Protests

March 4, 2011 Leave a comment

African-Americans have been an integral part of the White House since it was built in part by slaves. In Family of Freedom: Presidents and African Americans in the White House, veteran U.S. News White House reporter Kenneth T. Walsh traces this sometimes fraught history from its roots all the way to the Barack Obama presidency.

As he began his second year in office, Obama’s presidency was not going well. His legislation to overhaul the healthcare system was still bogged down in Congress.

The unemployment rate, which polls showed was the top concern of most Americans, remained stubbornly high at about 10 percent, and much worse in many African-American communities

Obama’s job-approval ratings had dropped markedly from the astronomical levels of his first few months to below 50 percent.

My people reject the race card

March 4, 2011 1 comment

My fellow Americans, who are “your people”? I ask because US Attorney General Eric Holder, who is black, used the phrase “my people” in congressional testimony this week.

It was an unmistakably color-coded and exclusionary reference intended to deflect criticism of the Obama Justice Department‘s selective enforcement policies. It backfired. In pandering to identity politics and exacerbating race consciousness, Holder has given the rest of us an opportunity to stand up, identify “our people” and show the liberal poseurs what post-racialism really looks like.Herman Cain is my people. I’ve never met him, but we are kin because we are unhyphenated Americans comfortable in the black, brown and yellow skin we’re in.

We are growing in numbers on college campuses, in elected office, on the Internet.Cain is the successful Georgia businessman who has wowed audiences with his passion for free markets, free minds and the American Dream.

The former president of Godfather’s Pizza and forceful Tea Party speaker happens to be black. So he must pay the price that all minority conservatives in public life must pay.

A cowardly liberal writer recently derided Cain as a “monkey in the window” and a “minstrel” who performs for his “masters.”Race traitors. Sellouts. Self-haters. I’ve heard it for nearly 20 years in public life. Every outspoken minority conservative has……………………..

Holder ill serves his ‘people’

March 3, 2011 Leave a comment

Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. played the race card in congressional testimony on Tuesday, referring to blacks as his “people” while neglecting the rest of Americans.

That race-based lens pervades his Justice Department, causing consistently skewed enforcement of the law…. Mr. Holder has a history of stoking racial resentments. … In 1996, he told The Washington Post that for 25 years he carried in his wallet a quote from a black preacher [to the effect] that….

I am not the tall U.S. attorney, I am not the thin U.S. attorney. I am the black U.S. attorney.

And [the preacher] was saying that no matter how successful you are, there’s a common cause that bonds the black U.S. attorney with the black criminal or the black doctor with the black homeless person.” In short, race comes first.

It makes allies, not adversaries, of black criminals and prosecutors.

A Genuine Black American Hero for Black History Month

February 25, 2011 1 comment

Don’t look for this from Oprah, Tavis Smiley, The Congressional Black Caucus, or anywhere in the MSM, including especially! The History Channel or PBS, but the second in command of the freedom-fighters who hit the Bay of Pigs beachhead 50 years ago was a black Cuban and today a proud U.S. citizen and retired Major General of the U.S. Amy named Erneido Oliva.

The Knights of Camelot dumped Oliva and his men on that beachhead with only light arms and no air cover—then abandoned them. Oliva’s men were outnumbered 30 to one by Castro’s Soviet led and supplied troops, who had swarms of Soviet T-34 Tanks and jets overhead. On the third day of unrelenting battle Oliva’s men were virtually out of ammo for their carbines and the battlefield horrors were taking their toll.“Where are the U.S. planes?!” they kept bellowing into their radios. “Where is our ammo?!”

Crazed by hunger and thirst, they’d been shooting and reloading without sleep for three days. Many were hallucinating. By then they knew damn well they’d been abandoned by the Knights of Camelot………………………………..

NPR calls Washington ‘Chocolate City’: Report focusing on racial make-up leaves bitter…

wnd ^ | 2/16/11 | Joe KovacsPosted on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 7:22:14 PM by Nachum

In the days following Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin came under fire for publicly saying he wanted to rebuild his city as a “Chocolate New Orleans.”Now, a report by National Public Radio is using similar terminology, calling the nation’s capital “chocolate,” but noting a change in its flavor.

The article, titled, “D.C., Long ‘Chocolate City,’ Becoming More Vanilla,” by Alex Kellogg, opens by stating: “For decades Washington, D.C., was known affectionately as ‘Chocolate City’ to many black Americans, because it was predominantly African-American.”Most big U.S. cities are getting browner as more blacks, Hispanics and Asians move in. Washington, by contrast, fell to just 53 percent black in 2009, down from a peak of 71 percent in 1970.

That’s partly because D.C. has quickly become one of the most expensive cities in America, and one of the only cities in the U.S. where property values continue to rise despite the economic downturn.
