So, one weekday morning last year I got up with the chickens and went to the 8:30am Low Tridentine Mass uptown. It started out normally enough. In processed Father with one server.

 

Father looked a bit flat-footed, but then this particular priest is pretty old, so one doesn’t expect a Fred Astaire-like gait from the quasi-elderly. It wasn’t until the consecrations of the Host and Chalice that it became clear that something was terribly, physically wrong with Father.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At each genuflection he had to slightly twist his body and almost lay his upper body on the altar in order to genuflect, bearing much of his weight on his elbows both on the way down and on the way back up. It was obvious with each genuflection that Father was in excruciating pain. I sat in my little spot in the back of the church, at once horrified by the obvious physical distress I was witnessing, but also deeply moved by the courageous perseverance and uncompromising love for Our Lord that Father, seen by only the half-dozen or so people in the nave, demonstrated.

Very smart, and very elegant and dignified in a masculine way. Very kind, but will tear the face off of anyone who crosses him. And 70 years old. Plenty young and robust.

 

I like him.

I have been on pilgrimage to Rome since last Monday, but am back now, and mightily jetlagged. Obviously I kept it quiet because it isn’t wise to advertise that one’s home will be empty for ten days, even with the security system set on a hair trigger. Also, I was totally prepared to never make it out of Denver in the first place. I figured I had 50-50 odds of being on a no-fly list. But, no worries there. I have never been so happy upon being handed a boarding pass in my life.

Ann Barnhardt has engaged in no web or twitter activity for nine days, which is highly unusual.

 

She has challenged both the Muhammadens and the US federal government, and it was just a matter of time before one of those psychotic organizations took her up on it.

 

I believe that something has happened to her.

Has Ann Barnhardt been arrested by the Feds?

Ann Barnhardt declared a tax strike and had her bank account seized by the IRS in November. She has not posted on her site for nine days. Does anyone know what is going on with her?

My wife and I have discussed the phenomenon of Ann Barnhardt on a few different occasions.

We both find her intriguing and have basically concluded about her what she concludes about herself – that she is an anomalously masculine woman, that masculinity does not find its optimum expression in her because she is a woman, and that her manner and activity would find a better vehicle of expression in a man.

This is not to criticize what she is doing, or to say she should refrain from doing it.

I have recently discovered a woman named Ann Barhardt. I have watched her “The Economy is Going To Implode” YouTube series and have read here religious/societal/political commentaries.

My problem?…. I can’t figure this woman out.

 

Either she’s the most “free” person I know, speaking truth that has been blocked/subvereted for many, many years in America …

 

… or she is just certifiably nuts …..

Now do you understand why I had precious little to say about the “election”? The results of this election were determined in 2008, including the faux-opposition candidate. …In my opinion, the “best-case scenario” would be continued inflation at roughly the pace we are experiencing now until Obama is removed from office. I am of the considered opinion that there is absolutely ZERO chance for any stabilization or recovery so long as the Obama regime holds power. ZERO. Why would there be? The Obama regime is actively and consciously trying to destroy the United States and its economy.
