This week the AP reported the United States government knows who are responsible for the murders of Americans at the U.S. Mission in Benghazi. Despite Mr. Obama’s promise to punish the terrorists he is doing nothing. Talk is cheap.

The White house resident could easily order armed drones to target these thugs but he doesn’t. This is a feckless President whose inaction can be easily explained by the Limbaugh theorem. (1) If he gave the order to kill the terrorists, Obama would be seen as governing. Should anything go wrong he just might have to accept responsibility. Such a possibility is unacceptable to a spoiled man-child as his ego couldn’t handle it. But if he brings them to civilian courts his hands would be clean of any decisions.

The preceding paragraph contains some of the actual words used by Barack Obama to announce he was running for President. Many of us were not surprised, as he had been leading up to the announcement for some time. The following paragraph contains the words of a hypothetical ceremony that must have followed that announcement, between the aspiring candidate and members of the mainstream media.

The media loves ObamaThe honeymoon following this ceremony has lasted almost five years and it has been evidenced by a doting wife, the media, as they dutifully followed President Obama, reporting only what he wanted reported and refusing to see what their unfaithful husband was up to. They have woefully bemoaned the fact that Obama has held very few news conferences with them, but of course, he has his reasons.

At first I thought the IRS scandal was leaked to distract from the Benghazi scandal. But that didn’t make sense because the IRS scandal is a more obvious abuse of power than the White House lying about the murder of four Americans in Libya.
Before I had resolved which scandal was distracting from which, we found out the Department of Justice was spying on The Associated Press — not to protect national security, but to prevent the AP from scooping the White House. Then, this week, it broke that the Department of Justice was also spying on Fox News for reasons that remain unexplained.

First Amendment: For awhile, it looked like the White House wanted just to control “the narrative.” But its seizure of AP phone records and surveillance of Fox employees now show its real aim: to control the news.
The Obama political team at the White House has always prided itself on its media savvy. After all, they got a candidate with an otherwise unsalable socialist past elected on a campaign that sold his personality, not his platform.
They won saintly press coverage, with much blather, mostly from the Washington Post about how Obama was all about “storytelling” and selling a “narrative.”
They also mastered the hard propaganda, creating a Pepsi-Cola-like happy horizons logo to substitute for a platform and market their candidate and even employed pop artist Shepard Fairey to drive the hipsterly message home through his famous portrait.

I mentioned the other day that the Justice Department‘s secretive snooping on AP reporters was not just a personal violation of privacy, but in fact a threat to their ability to do their jobs and a threat to everyone’s ability to report on the Obama administration.
Gary Pruitt, AP’s CEO confirmed on CBS Face the Nation Sunday that in fact, his organization is already finding government sources are more reluctant to talk to them now because of what happened.

Senator Rand Paul responded to the barrage of scandals to hit the Obama administration, from Benghazi, to the IRS targeting conservatives, to the Justice Department spying on Associated Press reporters, by accusing President Obama of being “drunk on power.”
Scoffing at an upcoming House Committee on Ways & Means inquiry into how the IRS targeted those who mentioned the Constitution, the bill of rights, or even making “America a better place to live,” Kentucky Senator Paul said he would introduce a resolution today calling for the IRS agents involved to be fired for abusing their power in targeting people for their political activities.
“The President says he’s going to do something if they’re guilty, well it sounds like there’s already been an investigation and no one’s been fired,” Paul told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “I’m afraid he’s going to do about as much as he did after Benghazi,” he added, noting that those involved in the botched security operation still work for the State Department.

President Obama can’t see how Congress could buck public opinion to vote against new gun laws, he said in an interview released Tuesday.
“The notion that Congress would defy the overwhelming instinct of the American people after what we saw happen in Newtown I think is unimaginable,” he told “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie in an interview conducted before Monday’s explosions at the Boston Marathon.
The Senate is expected to vote on gun legislation later this week, though it’s not yet clear whether there will be enough votes for it to pass. Obama has been calling lawmakers to try to convince them to vote in favor of tougher gun laws, The Associated Press reported late Monday.

On his radio show last week, Geraldo Rivera applauded the Associated Press’ decision to drop the term “illegal immigrant” from its official style guidelines and then decreed that no one should use the phrase any longer, seeing as how he believes it is akin to saying “negro” to describe a black person.

The Denver Post, on February 15th, ran an Associated Press article entitled Homeland Security aims to buy 1.6b rounds of ammo, to far too little notice. It confirmed that the Department of Homeland Security has issued an open purchase order for 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition.
As elsewhere reported, much of this purchase order is for rounds forbidden by international law for use in war plus a frightening amount specialized for snipers.

Also reported elsewhere, at the height of the Iraq War the Army was expending fewer than 6 million rounds a month. 1.6 billion rounds, therefore, would be enough to sustain a hot war for 20+ years. In America.

Washington – The senior Homeland Security Department official in charge of arresting and deporting illegal immigrants announced his resignation the same day the agency said that hundreds of people facing deportation had been released from immigration jails due to looming budget cuts, according to a resignation letter obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press.

In an interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts aired this morning, First Lady Michelle Obama recalled the tragic death of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton who was shot and killed in Chicago after performing during the President’s Inauguration celebration in Washington D.C.
“She was caught in the line of fire because some kids had some automatic weapons they didn’t need,” the First Lady explained. “I just don’t want to keep disappointing our kids in this country. I want them to know that we put them first.”

Two San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies have been shot while pursuing a carjacking and home-invasion suspect in the Angelus Oaks area of Big Bear.

NEW ORLEANS — San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver created quite the ruckus this week when he intimated that anyone with a homosexual predilection would not be welcome on his team. Now, he’s doing everything he can to get past that.
According to his publicist, Theodore Palmer, Culliver will be working with “The Trevor Project,” an organization that provides crisis and suicide intervention to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth.

Which means that is was actually written and composed hours before that. State Department press releases in the Secretary of State’s name aren’t written and released without all kinds of “approvals” and process. And this statement is written in nuanced prose, referencing “religious tolerance” and all kinds of bullshit. It isn’t a flash bulletin. It was thought out, long and hard.
Doherty and Woods were killed by mortar fire between 11:14 and 11:26 pm EDT.

Stop and think about this. The bullshit MOTIVE was publicly assigned by the State Department before the murders had even occurred. HOURS before.
As I wrote back in October, Benghazi was the planned and calculated murder of Chris Stevens by the Obama regime, with Hillary at point because they needed him dead to cover the gunrunning by the Obama regime to the Muslim Brotherhood / al Qaeda.

Perhaps most astonishingly, this suspect arrested in the woods was named in an Associated Press report as 24-year-old Ryan Lanza. The original report has long since vanished of course, but you can see it referenced here. This was despite the fact that Ryan had already been named as the deceased suspect inside the school, lying next to two handguns.
Ryan Lanza was actually at work in Hoboken, New Jersey, that morning when his name and photo began circulating in the media. And so, for most of Friday, the ‘lone shooter’ was erroneously reported as “Ryan Lanza, confirmed dead.”

Now I’ve been watching this news for most of the day. Remarkably, it seems to change every few minutes.
First, we had the name change. Who exactly did the shooting? Ryan? Adam? Someone else?
Then, we hear that someone in camo garb or something was apprehended in the woods. When I first heard this, I assumed it was the brother and that was why there was confusion about the name.

But turns out that the brother was actually at work – and was not in the woods. So who was in the woods?

William, Libby Busbee’s 23-year-old son, was talking with a police officer when he fired a shot through the front windshield of his car, according to the police report.
The police recoiled. William rapped on the window in apparent frustration, the report indicated.
Then the second shot was heard.
“I knew that was the one,” said Libby Busbee.
