Obama\’s Department of Homeland Security is snapping up bullets at an alarming pace.
WASHINGTON — The former Army captain who received the Medal of Honor on Tuesday has asked to return to active duty in the Army, a rare move by an officer who has lived to wear the military\’s highest award.
Two U.S. officials tell The Associated Press that William D. Swenson has submitted a formal request to the Army and officials are working with him to allow his return.
Swenson was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Barack Obama in the White House Tuesday afternoon for risking his life to recover bodies and save fellow troops during a lengthy battle against the Taliban in Afghanistan near the Pakistan border in 2009.

Reports are that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is engaged in a massive, covert military buildup.
An article in the Associated Press in February confirmed an open purchase order by DHS for 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition. According to an op-ed in Forbes, that’s enough to sustain an Iraq-sized war for over twenty years. DHS has also acquired heavily armored tanks, which have been seen roaming the streets.

While collecting data Edward Snowden was able to evade all safeguards at the NSA, leaving the agency puzzled at how he did it, according to new report.
Officials worry that the ease with which he covered his tracks means another breach could happen.Information logs exist to tell the government who tried to view or copy classified information without the proper clearance, but Snowden appears to have bypassed or deleted them, while working as a system administrator with contractor Booz Allen Hamilton in Hawaii.
The revelations come from government officials speaking to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity, as they were prevented from publicly disclosing new information about the Snowden case. This is a worrying development for the Obama administration, which has been at pains to prove to the American public that the NSA’s computer system cannot be taken advantage of so easily.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Chances are, your local or state police departments have photographs of your car in their files, noting where you were driving on a particular day, even if you never did anything wrong.
Using automated scanners, law enforcement agencies across the country have amassed millions of digital records on the location and movement of every vehicle with a license plate, according to a study published Wednesday by the American Civil Liberties Union. Affixed to police cars, bridges or buildings, the scanners capture images of passing or parked vehicles and note their location, uploading that information into police databases. Departments keep the records for weeks or years, sometimes indefinitely.

A new wave of camouflage is underway at the Pentagon and the CIA. The bin Laden “death files” contained in the Pentagon’s data bank have become the object of controversy.
Navy Vice Admiral William McRaven has been entrusted in removing these secret military files concerning the May 2011 Navy SEAL raid on Osama bin Laden’s alleged hideout in Abbotabad, Pakistan from the Pentagon’s data banks.
The files of the bin Laden SEAL operation had to be removed to sustain the Big Lie. Osama was allegedly killed on the orders of the US government, despite ample evidence that he was already dead at the time of the attack:
… the US government pulled off one of the most audacious stunts of the 21st century, when on May 2nd 2011 they claimed to have killed Osama bin Laden during a Navy SEAL operation in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
The contemptuously sloppy story spun by the US government, parroted without question by the controlled corporate media, and obligingly swallowed by a largely gullible Western public, was dubious in the extreme. (Brit Dee, Global Research, May 03, 2012)

The scandals surrounding the Obama administration come down to one common theme — that the ever-growing size and scope of our federal government gives it enormous power over virtually every aspect of our lives, power that in the wrong hands can be used to reward supporters, exact revenge and punish enemies.
In education, health care, transportation, energy, disaster relief, welfare, commerce, work and salary rules, and on and on, the federal government plays an outsized role completely inconsistent with the Founding Fathers’ notion of a limited government that allows maximum personal liberty.
Obama White House spying on half of America… “Shortly after the Constitutional Convention completed its work in Philadelphia in 1787, legend has it that a vagrant approached Benjamin Franklin and asked him what the Convention produced. He reportedly answered “A republic, Sir, if you can keep it.” Thursday morning we learned that the Republic has been lost. It is now a dictatorship.”… Judge Napolitano…
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or Affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, quoted in full above, was written to guarantee what the Framers called “the right to be let alone,” and what we have come to call “the right to privacy.”
The Supreme Court has ruled consistently and repeatedly that its contemporary purposes are to prevent dragnets and fishing expeditions, lest the rights of the innocent be assaulted along with those of the guilty.

When the Obama administration started to pursue whistleblowers they took it to a whole new level than previous administrations by going aggressively after the journalists—the government watchdogs, and their whistleblowing sources by misusing government agencies.
We saw it recently with Attorney General Eric Holders’ Justice Department targeting of FOX News reporter James Rosen and by secretly collecting two months of telephone records from reporters and editors at The Associated Press.
The question that must be asked and answered now is does the National Security Agency (NSA) domestic surveillance program apply to the U.S. citizens in the media as well? The reason this question must be asked is because it appears, my Canada Free Press colleague, private investigator of the Northeast Intelligence Network, journalist, and popular radio show host of the Hagmann & Hagmann report, Doug Hagmann, has apparently been caught up in the NSA’s media dragnet.

There is one problem with the entirely justified if self-interested media squawking about the Justice Department snooping into the phone records of multiple Associated Press reporters and Fox News’s James Rosen.
The problem is that what the AP reporters and Rosen did arguably violates the letter of the law.

Dick Durbin: Are bloggers and tweeters entitled to constitutional protection?

Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin has in the past had a very subjective and abstract view of the Constitution, and on Fox News Sunday he once again wondered which people might be “entitled” to constitutional protections and which people might not:
“You’ve raised an important point and I heard Sen. Graham call for special counsel,” Durbin said. “I’m not ready to do this at this moment. I would like to know if Holder has any conflict in here beyond what we heard when it comes to the Fox case.”
“But here is the bottom line — the media shield law, which I am prepared to support, and I know Sen. Graham supports, still leaves an unanswered question, which I have raised many times: What is a journalist today in 2013? We know it’s someone that works for Fox or AP, but does it include a blogger? Does it include someone who is tweeting? Are these people journalists and entitled to constitutional protection? We need to ask 21st century questions about a provision that was written over 200 years ago.”

This week the AP reported the United States government knows who are responsible for the murders of Americans at the U.S. Mission in Benghazi. Despite Mr. Obama’s promise to punish the terrorists he is doing nothing. Talk is cheap.
The White house resident could easily order armed drones to target these thugs but he doesn’t. This is a feckless President whose inaction can be easily explained by the Limbaugh theorem. (1) If he gave the order to kill the terrorists, Obama would be seen as governing. Should anything go wrong he just might have to accept responsibility. Such a possibility is unacceptable to a spoiled man-child as his ego couldn’t handle it. But if he brings them to civilian courts his hands would be clean of any decisions.

The Media To Barack Obama – Until Death Do Us PartPolitical Realities ^ | 05/24/13 | LD JacksonPosted on Friday, May 24, 2013 7:43:57 AM by LD JacksonMay 2, 2007 – Springfield, Illinois – Barack Obama announces his candidacy, to the media and to the country, for President of the United States
“And that is why, in the shadow of the Old State Capitol, where Lincoln once called on a divided house to stand together, where common hopes and common dreams still live, I stand before you today to announce my candidacy for president of the United States of America.”
The preceding paragraph contains some of the actual words used by Barack Obama to announce he was running for President. Many of us were not surprised, as he had been leading up to the announcement for some time. The following paragraph contains the words of a hypothetical ceremony that must have followed that announcement, between the aspiring candidate and members of the mainstream media.
Barack Obama: I, Barack Obama, take thee, the mainstream media, to be my lawful wedded Wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part. The Mainstream Media: I, the mainstream media, take thee, Barack Obama, to be my lawful wedded Husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love, cherish, and to obey, till death us do part.
The media loves ObamaThe honeymoon following this ceremony has lasted almost five years and it has been evidenced by a doting wife, the media, as they dutifully followed President Obama, reporting only what he wanted reported and refusing to see what their unfaithful husband was up to. They have woefully bemoaned the fact that Obama has held very few news conferences with them, but of course, he has his reasons.

At first I thought the IRS scandal was leaked to distract from the Benghazi scandal. But that didn’t make sense because the IRS scandal is a more obvious abuse of power than the White House lying about the murder of four Americans in Libya.
Before I had resolved which scandal was distracting from which, we found out the Department of Justice was spying on The Associated Press — not to protect national security, but to prevent the AP from scooping the White House. Then, this week, it broke that the Department of Justice was also spying on Fox News for reasons that remain unexplained.

First Amendment: For awhile, it looked like the White House wanted just to control “the narrative.” But its seizure of AP phone records and surveillance of Fox employees now show its real aim: to control the news.
The Obama political team at the White House has always prided itself on its media savvy. After all, they got a candidate with an otherwise unsalable socialist past elected on a campaign that sold his personality, not his platform.
They won saintly press coverage, with much blather, mostly from the Washington Post about how Obama was all about “storytelling” and selling a “narrative.”
They also mastered the hard propaganda, creating a Pepsi-Cola-like happy horizons logo to substitute for a platform and market their candidate and even employed pop artist Shepard Fairey to drive the hipsterly message home through his famous portrait.

He’s right, it isn’t a scandal. A scandal is something to read in the supermarket tabloid for entertainment value. “The President says he’s going to do something if they’re guilty, well it sounds like there’s already been an investigation and no one’s been fired,” Paul told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “I’m afraid he’s going to do about as much as he did after Benghazi,” he added, noting that those involved in the botched security operation still work for the State Department.

As elsewhere reported, much of this purchase order is for rounds forbidden by international law for use in war plus a frightening amount specialized for snipers.
Also reported elsewhere, at the height of the Iraq War the Army was expending fewer than 6 million rounds a month. 1.6 billion rounds, therefore, would be enough to sustain a hot war for 20+ years. In America.
