Rahm Emmanuel to major banks: Stop serving gun manufacturers
In a letter sent Friday to the CEOs of TD Bank and Bank of America, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel urged the banks to stop serving gun manufacturers unless they support gun control measures, CBS Chicago reported.
According to CBS, Emmanuel wants the banks to “stop lines of credit, financing for acquisitions and expansions and financial advising” unless the manufacturers agree with him on issues like background checks and what he called “commonsense reforms.”
“In the past, the gun industry has stood in opposition to these safety measures.
They opposed a ban on assault weapons on America’s streets, opposed a ban on military-style clips, opposed a criminal background check on all gun purchases and opposed any effort to crack down on criminal gun traffickers,” he wrote.

Wisconsin –(Ammoland.com)- A redneck friend of mine and a native Texan sent me a picture by e-mail of a Texas road sign.
A green highway one, with the Texas flag on it you would see as you drive into that state. They usually have the expression “Don’t mess with Texas” on the bottom of the sign.
The sign in the picture had four more lines added. “Our citizens have concealed weapons”, “If you kill someone, we kill you back”, “We enjoy gun fights-it’s a Texas tradition” and “We have 120 prisons – enjoy your stay.”
There is a good chance that the signage has been enhanced on someone’s computer. Perhaps Texas does not officially endorse such verbiage. The alter-ego of my red neck Texas friend is a mild mannered, retired Oklahoma grade school teacher. I am sure there is no way she would endorse lawlessness in the guise of revenge or streets of Laredo justice.
Accidental death or something more?

……………….As verified by the authors, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s office is not commenting on this matter as the investigation into the death of Jennifer Ann Gallagher-Pinson
appears to be ongoing, as well it should.
The circumstances and conflicting reports at multiple levels by various sources of the Aurora, Colorado shooting, including those outlined by this author here, have raised a number of questions that appear to be inconsistent with the official narrative of the incident. Now, there appears to be a death of a nurse who was involved with the treatment of the victims of that shooting who has also died under questionable circumstances.

The questions no one else seems to be asking…
Movie theaters review gun policies after Colorado shootings (“The men didn’t think they had done anything wrong: Each was one of the state’s 344,000 handgun carry permit holders. They were told to put their guns in their vehicles, in accordance with theater policy, and then the movie resumed.”)
A screening of “The Dark Knight Rises” in Cookeville., Tenn., was halted on Thursday
after a theater worker reported seeing a moviegoer with a gun.
Serious questions surround Colorado shooting
Northeast Intelligence Network
28 July 2012: It’s been just over a week when a male identified by law enforcement officials as James Eagan Holmes entered a theater in Aurora, Colorado and allegedly killed 12 people and wounded 58 others. By now, nearly everyone with an internet connection, who watched the television news or read a newspaper has heard or read various accounts of the shooting.

The former University of Colorado graduate student accused of killing 12 people and wounding 58 others in a shooting rampage at a cinema last week had been under the care of a psychiatrist who was part of a campus threat-assessment team.

The parallels between alleged Colorado shooter James Holmes and Sirhan Sirhan are staggering. Both appear to have been drugged, both cannot remember the shootings they were accused of carrying out, and in both cases other shooters were reported by eyewitnesses.

Outrage Is Not an Argument
Hours after last Friday’s massacre in Aurora, Colo., New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg demanded that the two major parties’ presidential candidates explain how they plan to prevent such senseless outbursts of violence.
“No matter where you stand on the Second Amendment, no matter where you stand on guns, we have a right to hear from both of them concretely,” Bloomberg said in a radio interview. “What are they going to do about guns?”

Gordon Duff the senior editor of Veterans Today recently wrote an article called: “Con Job: Mass Shootings and Pattern Recognition.”
In a phone interview with Press TV’s U.S. Desk on Tuesday, he expanded on his article and the recent shooting in Aurora, Colorado.

Duff said,
“This week in Aurora Colorado there was this shooting. A young man shot a number of people in a movie theater. The country is in a panic. People are looking at each other with suspicion. It isn’t because of this one shooting. It is because we’ve had shootings and bombings for twelve years.”

Bloomberg Ignores Auroras In New York and Chicago
Gun Control: The gun-controlled Windy City is on a pace to have 450 murders this year, an Aurora every 10 days. Meanwhile, the mayor of New York ignores his own body count to say the police should go on strike.
I don’t understand why the police officers across this country don’t stand up collectively and say we’re going to go on strike,” New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg told CNN’s Piers Morgan. “We’re not going to protect you unless you, the public, through the legislature, do what’s required to make us safe.”
Liberalism Drives Men to Madness
The shooting in Aurora, CO dominated the news this weekend, and not just in America. It was world news. The tragedy reminded me of a recurring question people have been pondering for at least a decade: why are so many of these incidents happening now?
The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence reports that the United States has experienced an average of around 20 mass shootings each year since 2005.
There was the rampage at Virginia Tech in 2007 that left 32 people dead. Only three days prior to the Aurora shooting, 17 people were injured in Tuscaloosa, Alabama after a gunman opened fire in a downtown bar, and one week before that, three people were killed and two were injured after another rampage erupted during a Dover, Delaware soccer tournament. The Fort Hood massacre occurred in 2009, two years after Virginia Tech, with 13 people losing their lives in that event.
The evidence is pretty clear that we are having far more mass shooting these days than we had in the past. You might want to make the natural jump to guns, as that is what the media will tell us to do. Guns are easy to blame. Relatively easy to get, guns make good culprits. But if people were killing people by driving into crowds with Chevy Volts, I suspect the media would not blame the Volt.
It should come as no surprise that the rise in mass killing sprees in America is in direct proportion to the rise in liberalism in American politics.
Missing the Point About Aurora…
Public discussion and debate about the Aurora, Colo., horror has missed the point. With numbing predictability, liberal opinion leaders in the press have focused on gun laws as the potential solution for such atrocities, while conservatives have responded that maniacs will find ways to kill people and therefore, nothing can be done about rampage shootings. Others have speculated that our excessively violent entertainments are tipping borderline types into spasms of real violence.

Exercise revolved around gunman attacking theater
A Colorado university just 16 miles away from the site of Friday morning’s deadly ‘Batman’ massacre staged an identical exercise the very same day in which students were trained how to react to a gunman firing at people in a movie theater.

“Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine is in the middle of holding specialized classes in disaster life support for 150 second-year medical students. Along with response to natural disasters like hurricanes and floods and terrorist attacks, one of the scenarios being used to train the students is how to respond if a shooter fires at people in a movie theater and also uses a bomb in the attack,” reports the Denver Post.
A Second ‘Person of Interest’ Was Interviewed in Aurora
News broke Saturday night that Aurora police were sent a message electronically threatening more violence if James Holmes wasn’t released from prison. Police found and interviewed him on Saturday, but he hasn’t been charged with anything in connection with the crime.
This Fox Denver affiliate reports police received a message electronically that threatened more violence if Holmes wasn’t released from prison. No one has released his name because he hasn’t been charged with anything. But, according to the person’s Facebook page, he has a master’s in biomedical science, and Anshutz Medical Center confirmed he was in the same program Holmes withdrew from a month ago. ABC News Denver reports authorities traced the message to a router in Aurora, but it’s uncertain whether the message was sent natively or whether someone routed it through there. He was picked up by police and interviewed Saturday afternoon.

Witness: Someone Let Gunman Inside Colorado Movie Theater
AURORA, CO — A man who was at the Colorado movie theater where a dozen people were killed this morning, says he saw the gunman.
He says he thinks someone deliberately let the gunman inside once the movie started.
Here’s what he told TV station KCNC this morning live on their newscast.
Expanded coverage
“As I was sitting down to get my seat, I noticed that a person came up to the front row, the front right, sat down, and as credits were going, it looked like he got a phone call. He went out toward the emergency exit doorway, which I thought was unusual to take a phone call. And it seemed like he probably pried it open, or probably did not let it latch all the way. As soon as the movie started, somebody came in, all black, gas mask, armor, and threw a gas can into the audience, and it went off, and then there were gunshots that took place.”
Police arrested 24-year-old James Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, for the shootings.
