They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. – Benjamin Franklin

Last February Maxine Waters in an interview stated “The President has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” (1) She continued to reveal “That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before”.

This week Americans were surprised to learn that the National Security Agency (NSA) has been collecting phone call information of American Verizon customers. Like all of the recent Obama Administration scandals, this story wasn’t released by the American media but by the British Press. (2)

In times of trouble, I always look to those wiser and stronger then I for guidance. I look to those who, when faced with hardship, found a way to overcome.

Benjamin Franklin- “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Patrick Henry- “I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!”

I feel a tremendous responsibility to write this article though I am a little apprehensive. Thinking about the possibility of rising up against our own government is a frightening thing for many of us. I am not Johnny Rambo and I will be the first to admit that I do not want to die. The reason I feel compelled to write this, however, is simply because I don’t think the average American is equipped with the facts. I feel that a lot of American citizens feel like they have no choice but to surrender their guns if the government comes for them. I blame traditional media sources for this mass brainwash and I carry the responsibility of all small independent bloggers to tell the truth. So my focus today is to lay out your constitutional rights as an American, and let you decide what to do with those rights.

“Any society that would give up a little liberty, to gain a little security, will deserve neither, and will lose both” –Benjamin Franklin

Introduction: This is the first of a series of articles I intend to write in what may very well be a fools errand. I say that because I love my country. I love the noble ideals of the Republic our flag represents, but I’m not sure many of my fellow Americans still feel the same way.

At the close of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia on September 18, 1787, a Mrs. Powel anxiously awaited the results and as Benjamin Franklin emerged from the long task now finished asked him directly, `Well, Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?’ `A republic, if you can keep it,’ responded Franklin.

Indeed, most of the domestic miseries which America`s labor, businesses and investors now suffer are traceable to irrefutable violations of our constitutionally limited Republican Form of Government. During the past four years President Obama and his Administration has taken it upon themselves to not only ignore the rule of law and the limited powers granted to our federal government, but has willingly engaged in practices which dictatorial regimes around the world have adopted in order to plunder what labor, businesses and investors have worked to create.

The Truth by Brandon J Raub on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 10:00 am

America has lost itself. We have lost who we truly are. This is the land of the free and the home of the brave.

This is the land of Thomas Jefferson.

This is the land of Benjamin Franklin.

This is the land of Fredrick Douglas.

This is the land of Smedley Butler.

This is the land John F. Kennedy.

This is the land of Martin Luther King.

This is the land where the cowboy wins. This is the land where you can start from the bottom and get to the top. This is the land where regardless of you race and ethnicity you can succeed and build a better life for you and your family. This is the land where every race coexists peacefully. This is the land where justice wins. This is the land where liberty dwells. This is the land where freedom reigns. This is the land where we help the poor, and people help each other. This is land where people beat racism.

The Federal Reserve is wrong. They have designed a system based off of greed and fear. They designed a system to crush the middle class between taxes and inflation. This is wrong, and it is unjust. It is wrong.

Recognizing Greatness

June 23, 2012 6 comments

Throughout history, great people have come and great people have gone. Like all people, they are born and they die. In the history of mankind, there have been countless people whom others have described as “great”. Greatness is a rather general concept, but the term is typically bestowed upon individuals that have made a positive impact upon the lives of large numbers of people.

Thomas R. Horn — Petrus Romanus: The False Prophet and The Antichrist are Here, Part 14

April 29, 2012 1 comment

One of the most influential founding fathers, and the only one of them to have signed all of the original founding documents (the Declaration of Independence, the Treaty of Paris, and the U.S. Constitution) was Benjamin Franklin. Franklin was…without question, deeply involved in Freemasonry and in other secret societies.

He belonged to secret groups in the three countries involved in the War of Independence: America, France, and England. He was master of the Masonic Lodge of Philadelphia; while over in France, he was master of the Nine Sisters Lodge, from which sprang the French Revolution. In England, he joined a rakish political group founded by Sir Francis Dashwood (member of Parliament, advisor to King George III) called the “Monks of Medmenham Abbey,” otherwise known as the “Hellfire Club.” This eighteenth-century group is described as follows.

The Hellfire Club was an exclusive, English club that met sporadically during the mid-eighteenth century. Its purpose, at best, was to mock traditional religion and conduct orgies. At worst, it involved the indulgence of satanic rites and sacrifices. The club to which Franklin belonged was established by Francis Dashwood, a member of Parliament and friend of Franklin. The club, which consisted of “The Superior Order” of twelve members, allegedly took part in basic forms of satanic worship. In addition to taking part in the occult, orgies and parties with prostitutes were also said to be the norm.

Benjamin Franklin 1767

Pinto continues this connection between Benjamin Franklin and dark occultism:

On February 11, 1998, the Sunday Times reported that ten bodies were dug up from beneath Benjamin Franklin’s home at 36 Craven Street in London. The bodies were of four adults and six children. They were discovered during a costly renovation of Franklin’s former home. The Times reported: “Initial estimates are that the bones are about two hundred years old and were buried at the time Franklin was living in the house, which was his home from 1757 to 1762 and from 1764 to 1775. Most of the bones show signs of having been dissected, sawn or cut. One skull has been drilled with several holes.”

The original Times article reported that the bones were “deeply buried, probably to hide them because grave robbing was illegal.” They said, “There could be more buried, and there probably are.” But the story doesn’t end there. Later reports from the Benjamin Franklin House reveal that not only were human remains found, but animal remains were discovered as well. This is where things get very interesting. From the published photographs, some of the bones appear to be blackened or charred, as if by fire… It is well documented that Satanists perform ritual killings of both humans and animals alike.[2]

While many students of history are aware of the magic 666 square and its use by occultists down through time to control the spirit of Apollo/Osiris, what some will not know is how this magical binding and loosing of supernatural entities also extends to the testes of Washington’s 6,666 inch-high phallic Obelisk, dedicated by Freemasons seventy-two years following 1776 (note the magic number 72), where a Bible (that Dan Brown identified as the “Lost Symbol” in his latest book) is encased within the cornerstone of its 666-inch-square base.

One wonders what type of Bible this is. If a Masonic version, it is covered with occult symbols of the Brotherhood and Rosicrucianism and the purpose for having it so encased might be to energize the Mason’s interpretation of Scripture in bringing forth the seed of Osiris/Apollo from the testes/cornerstone.

Why were 10 dead bodies found in Benjamin Franklin’s basement? (Ambassador’s London residence)

April 14, 2012 Leave a comment

Why were 10 dead bodies found in Benjamin Franklin’s basement?

In 1998, a group called the Friends of Benjamin Franklin House began renovations on Franklin’s London residence, No. 36 Craven Street, and discovered a nasty surprise: 1,200 pieces of bone from 10 bodies, six of which were children. And the bodies were buried in the basement around the time Franklin was living in the house.

No, Franklin didn’t engage in a murder spree in between penning Poor Richard’s Almanack and flying kites in lightning storms. In fact, it’s unlikely that the bodies were murder victims at all. The bones were sawed through and bore scalpel marks, suggesting the bodies were used for an anatomical study. And it just so happens that Franklin’s dear friend William Hewson, whose mother-in-law owned Franklin’s home, was a student of the famed anatomist William Hunter. Historical speculation holds that Hewson, after digging up these bodies or paying a “resurrection man” for the remains, set up a lab in Franklin’s basement for his own anatomical studies.

The question remains, however: did Franklin know about the bodies? It’s possible that he participated in, or at least witnessed Hewson’s studies, but Hewson could have used the basement — and then buried the bodies — when Franklin wasn’t around.

Post-mortem America: Proximate cause of death…

…As Americans, we were given a tremendous gift by our founding fathers; a Republic, if we can keep it, to paraphrase Benjamin Franklin. Have we, the people, become so intellectually hobbled that we are unable to understand that this case is not about health care at all?

The health care bill is not now and never has been about health care, but about the systematic dismantling of our constitutional republic through unprecedented control

The health care bill is not now and never has been about health care, but about the systematic dismantling of our constitutional republic through unprecedented control. It has been in progress for decades, yet few have had the guts, will, or capacity to stand up and expose the agenda and people behind it. Anyone who dared to expose the agenda, identify the individuals or even hint at the objectives in play has been publicly mocked, ridiculed, marginalized and muzzled by both sides of the fictitious two-party divide, conservatives and progressives alike.

Obama Forms New “Climate” Coalition Led by UN

The Obama administration announced without congressional approval Thursday that it was forming a new international coalition overseen by the United Nations, supposedly in an effort to fight “climate change” by regulating certain types of emissions. Dubbed the “Climate and Clean Air Coalition,” the emerging alliance includes the governments ruling Mexico, Bangladesh, Canada, Sweden, and Ghana.

The February 16 announcement was made in Washington, D.C. by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who claimed Benjamin Franklin would somehow be “pleased” about the developments. An assortment of so-called “Environmental Ministers” from other countries, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency EPA boss Lisa Jackson, and UN Environment Program UNEP chief Achim Steiner were also present.UNEP boss Steiner, who will help oversee the daily operations of the new “coalition,” also invoked Franklin — an ardent supporter of liberty — to justify the statist policies being pursued.

Faith of the Founding Fathers

December 9, 2011 1 comment

Since the early days of this Republic, various of our Founding Fathers were accused of being irreligious, impious, and even atheist. Those accusations are unsupportable lies told by those whose own “tolerance” of the faithful informs not only their personal agendas, but taints and twists their biographical descriptions of the Founders, as well.

Often, for example, most of the most renowned and revered of the men of the founding generation are labeled “deists.” Deism was a theological philosophy popular in the 18th century, especially among the stratum of men associated with the Enlightenment. Stated simply, a deist believes in God, but considers Him an absent master, unconcerned with the quotidian comings and goings of His earthly creations.

Every one of the Founders listed in the following survey (with the possible exception of Benjamin Franklin) would reject such an appellation and in fact never referred to themselves as deists (again, with a passing reference to himself made by Franklin).

While the men mentioned herein held different interpretations of the characteristics of God, of His Son, Jesus Christ, and of the most correct way to worship them, they unanimously and sincerely believed that God was an all-powerful Creator and providentially interceded for mankind, particularly in the quest for liberty and the freedom of conscience that permitted diversity of worship.

The Daily Bell – Ingo Bischoff on Why Land Cannot Be Owned, Why the Federal Reserve Was “Good” Once and What Needs to Be Done to ‘Take Back’ America

November 6, 2011 Leave a comment

Daily Bell: You have praised Ben Franklin’s Philadelphia bank. Was its currency backed by gold? Is it true that this bank used only Real Bills against which to create its currency, the Pennsylvania Pound?

Ingo Bischoff: The Bank of Philadelphia discounted Real Bills against the payment of coin which circulated in North America. They were of British, French, Dutch and Spanish origin. The bank collected the discount to the face value upon maturity. The Pennsylvania Pound bank note did not promise redemption in monetary coin to support confidence in its value. Because of the lack of gold or silver mines in colonial America, there were no “colonial” coins. The coins in circulation were those of Britain or other sovereigns. The value of the Pennsylvania Pound was derived entirely from the reputation of the principals of the bank, of which Benjamin Franklin was one and George Clymer, as president of the bank, was another. Despite the lack of redemption promise, the impeccable and honest way in which the Bank of Philadelphia was run caused the value of the Pennsylvania Pound never to drop below the value of monetary coin. This remarkable fact was cited by Adam Smith in his book The Wealth of Nations, published in 1776.

I do not see a contradiction in my logic when I praise the Bank of Philadelphia for adhering to the Real Bills “Doctrine” without promising redemption in monetary coin. The Real Bills “Doctrine” only requires that the value of bank notes in circulation always match the value of un-matured Real Bills held by the bank. I am sure that in the case of the Bank of Pennsylvania this was the case at all times.

Bastards of Entitlement: Flash Mob Attacks on the Rise

July 8, 2011 Leave a comment

The cracks in the dam are visible.

Yet the media conspire to keep it invisible.

Tune in to the three major networks or CNN and you will see (in between their coordinated personal attacks on whichever conservative candidate is currently capturing attention) mob attacks in Greece, mob attacks in Yemen, mob attacks in Libya.

What you won’t see is coverage of the ‘Flash Mob‘ attacks happening in our own country, in Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami and Washington DC.

Could You Be Next?

Why, media, why?

Rhetorical question, that.

The homegrown mobs tell the story the dinosaur-media, the products of liberalized institutional education, wish to conceal – the unavoidable consequences of social programs designed not to solve problems but to build a base of voters dependent on Democratic politicians.

Witness the collapse of the dream that was The Great Society.

The goal of Lyndon B. Johnson’s Great Society was to end poverty in fifty years time. The mission was noble in intent, but was quickly bastardized as the party of the Jackass’ colluded to exploit it into a personal get rich-and-powerful (and stay that way) scheme.

And now the myth of the viability of a one parent household, along with the Democrat’s profferred notion that a welfare check is as admirable as a paycheck, has led us to this critical point in our nation’s history. Mobs of inner city youths, predominantly black, have taken to using social media to coordinate violent attacks on an unsuspecting public of ALL races, and if old media has its way the public will remain unsuspecting.

Yes, black.

They’ve already occurred in Atlanta, Kansas City, Boston, Nashville, Charlotte, St. Paul, Minnesota, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Columbia, South Carolina, and even in Iowa on what was called “beat whitey night.”

Attempting to mask this reality through disingenuous political correctness does not make the truth any prettier, though this will not prevent our deceitful media from trying their damndest.

This is not a racial issue. Fear of being called racist by the real racists cannot be allowed to foster silence and inactivity. Beware the accusers for often they are guilty of what they accuse others. Never is this more in evidence than when liberals in Washington and the media shout cries of racist at others.

LBJ was wrong. His Great Society’s War on Poverty and the enabling government programs it gave birth to have served only to ensure the battle will rage in perpetuity.

Benjamin Franklin was right. “I observed that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves.”

The Democrats seized on Franklin’s concept and perverted it as means to their own end, enacting deviously designed social entitlement programs not to give aid to those in need but to provide job security to the liberal overseers. The modern day plantation owner does not give orders, he gives stump speeches. Liberal politicians substitute dependency for chains. They count on the very group they pretend to protect to be ignorant, to not see they are being used to pick candidates instead of cotton. The by-product of this devolvement is the urban mob of today.

The Have-nots have declared war on the Haves.

It is only natural – the culture of dependency digresses to the culture of entitlement, which in turn caves to the culture of decadence.

The cracks are visible.

Will we, as a nation, repair them, or ignore them until the dam bursts at the seams and we’re left with roadside Apocalypse?

Franklin also said, “When people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.” He was right, again. The people have found it, within the vote for the Democratic Party, the party that desires to utilize social justice and entitlement programs to propagate a society of poor people, their own personal flock of sheep.

But the sheep have turned wolf.

And the Republic suffers for it . . .

You Will Respect My Authoritah!

You Will Respect My Authoritah!:

“Article. VI. Clause 2 of the Constitution states:

‘This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the constitution or laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding.’

This simply means that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land and any federal laws made in accordance with the Constitution (thus being Constitutional) are also therefore the supreme law of the land.

I ask you Texans, where is your modern day line in the sand? For that matter, each state should answer that question. I think Americans have just about had enough. No amount of slick governmental propaganda will make this go away. It is shaping up to be one hell of a fight for our freedoms and Texas is the tip of the spear. The DOJ and TSA – well, you can go to hell, we’ll stand with Texas.

THE MAKING OF MARINES: 1956 AND THEREAFTER…:

“Again, in my opinion, I believe the D.I. was the most realistic and honest film yet made regarding the experience of Marine Corps recruit training. I expect I am in the minority here, judging by responses to this that I have received across the Internet, but that is my opinion–take it or leave it.

Jack Webb has been dead these many years, and Ermey has gone on to acclaim as an actor and personality. Ermey, having reached the rank of staff sergeant while on active duty, has now been officially appointed/promoted to the ‘honorary’ rank of gunnery sergeant by the Marine Corps, a title which he uses as a television personality, etc.

This serves to remind me that Benjamin Franklin was the recipient of one or more ‘honorary’ doctorates. Honorary doctorates are not ‘earned’ degrees, nor conferred on the basis of work done or academic achievements met, etc..

I have read, that Franklin thereafter went by… ‘Doctor Franklin.’ Some say he even insisted that members of Congress address him as such. Whether or not anyone ever took him seriously and complied, I don’t know. Gomer Pyle (Jim Nabors), and others, BTW, have also been promoted to honorary Marine Corps ranks, but of course, Nabors was best known anyway as a comic.”

Benjamin Franklin, regarding the new Republic opined: “When the people find that they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic.” His reference was to individual voters or voting blocs using government to enrich themselves directly. Given the limited powers of the then fledgling Federal Government, he did not envision the “money go round” that permeates and too frequently dominates Washington DC.

“Liberals” and their snarky hypocritical ilk controlled the agenda in DC for most years after Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s war. That control existed and was kept alive on a sea of Federal largesse and campaign money. It began when FDR became the first President to use the Federal government as a vast vote buying machine. Republicans were knocked back on their heels and then supported…

Thomas Sowell: The Point of No Return

August 20, 2010 1 comment

The Point of No ReturnThe warnings of Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln have never been more relevant.

How did we get to the point where many people feel that the America they have known is being replaced by a very different kind of country, with not only different kinds of policies but also very different values and ways of governing?Something of this magnitude does not happen all at once or in just one administration in Washington.

What we are seeing is the culmination of many trends in many aspects of American life that go back for years.Neither the Constitution of the United States nor the institutions set up by the Constitution are enough to ensure the continuance of a free, self-governing nation. When Benjamin Franklin was asked what members of the Constitutional Convention were creating, he replied, “A republic, madam, if you can keep it.”In other words, a constitutional government does not depend on the Constitution but on us.

To the extent that we allow clever people to circumvent the Constitution while dazzling us with rhetoric, the Constitution becomes just a meaningless piece of paper as our freedoms are stolen from us, much as a pick-pocket might steal our wallet while we were distracted by other things. It is not just evil people who would dismantle America.

Many people who have no desire to destroy our freedoms simply have agendas of their own that are singly or collectively incompatible with the survival of freedom.Someone once said that a democratic society cannot survive for long after 51 percent of the people decide that they want to live off the other 49 percent. Yet that is the direction in which we are being pushed by those who are promoting envy under its more high-toned alias, “social justice.”
