Back in Mexico after a frantic week in the Yankee capital, these days a cross between asylum for the chronically paranoid, besieged city, and kindergarten run by a totalitarian Mommy. Cops everywhere, metal detectors everywhere else, concrete stop’em-bombs on sidewalks, pop-up metal barriers on streets on Capitol Hill. Bin Laden won, big time.

Stockman apparently couldn’t make it through the entire speech without losing his temper. He’s mad that President Obama is rewriting the U.S. Constitution, and he has every right to be.
Here’s what Stockman had to say:
Tonight I left early after hearing how the president is further abusing his Constitutional powers. I could not bear to watch as he continued to cross the clearly defined boundaries of the Constitutional separation of powers.
Even worse, Obama has openly vowed to break his oath of office and begin enacting his own brand of law through executive decree. This is a wholesale violation of his oath of office and a disqualifying offense.
Stockman didn’t stop there, either.
Now we’re talking!
The nation is tired of the Republican leadership’s complacency and the “let’s all get along” culture that’s endemic among politicians. And finally, it appears that someone on the Hill agrees.
Instead of acting like nothing is wrong, Stockman is speaking the frustration of millions of Americans, citizens who are sickened by their selfish, do-nothing leaders who only care about getting re-elected at all costs.
Recent polls show that just 31% of Americans believe that the country is better off now than in 2009, when Obama was sworn in. And a new Rasmussen poll reported that 69% of likely voters believe that the president should work with Congress, while only 27% believe that the president should go around Congress.

Security Insiders: It\’s Time to Reduce Military Health and Pension Benefits

Are Americans ready to accept a police state? Are pastors and Christians ready to accept a police state? Are Republicans and conservatives ready to accept a police state?
Are Democrats and liberals ready to accept a police state? Are there truly enough people left in this country who even understand what a police state is, and if they do, would they really support it?
Before You Rejoice… by Andrew P. Napolitano… “What’s going on here? What’s going on is the flow of government lawlessness down from the feds to the cops in the streets. Like children observing and imitating their parents’ unsanctioned, inappropriate, yet repeated behavior, when cops see the use of the military today to pull off government crimes, to shortcut the law and to evade the Constitution, they arm themselves with military-grade hardware and do the same.” — Antiwar.com
………………..While much of the above was going on in secret, two public spectacles played out on American TV last week. One involved a gang of bikers in New York City who chased a family in a Range Rover at high speeds and eventually pulled the driver from his car and beat and kicked him. Eventually the cops caught the gang, but not all gang members will be prosecuted, as at least three of them are cops – and they did nothing to stop the assault.
Also last week, a deranged single mom rammed her car into a fence that surrounds the White House.

First, we have the image itself, the colors in foreground and background, the blend of restful and charged hues. The anchor and his/her smooth style.
Then we have the shifting of venue from the studio to reporters in the field, demonstrating the reach of coverage: the planet. As if this equals authenticity.
The managing editor, usually the elite anchor, chooses the stories to cover and their sequence.
The anchor goes on the air: “Our top story tonight, more signs of gridlock today on Capitol Hill, as legislators walked out of a session on federal budget negotiations…”

Army Veteran Takes Allen West To Task For Dodging Obama Identity Document Fraud | Birther Report: Obama Release Your Records
Colonel Ret. Allen West’s response to Pastor Carl Gallups of the famous Freedom Friday Gulf Coast radio talk-show and lead detective of Sheriff Joe’s volunteer Cold Case Posse Mike Zullo when presented with the overwhelming evidence at CPAC that Mister Obama has presented the American people with unquestionably forged documents in a cover-up of unprecedented magnitude and gravity was with words to the effect that he could not act on the criminal usurpation of the presidency because he ‘might have to run for political office someday.’
Pastor Gallups: “…when everything was said and done, he saw all the evidence that caused very important people on Capitol Hill and at CPAC to have their jaws on the table and to say to us ‘we will do further things’ and that’s all I can tell you right now. So, Allen West, this so-called “champion” of the Conservative cause, he hears and sees the very same stuff—here’s his reaction, ‘Well I can’t do anything with this because I might run for political office.’ I kid you not! Well, isn’t this just peachy. This is actually the first time I’ve heard anything about it, but apparently, the public servants of the United States Senate have been enjoying taxpayer-subsidized trims and shaves on Capitol Hill since before the Civil War — an oh-so-beloved tradition that, in merely the past fifteen years, has cost taxpayers over five million dollars. Senate Hair Care Services is technically open to the public, for those who know/care about it, but last year alone the salon needed a $300,000 bailout from the Senate coffers to cover their jacked-up costs.
EDITIORIAL: Did the NRA Make a Backdoor Deal to Support Universal Background Checks? (VIDEO)
Guns.Com ^ | Mar. 13, 2013 | S.H. Blannelberry

On Tuesday, NBC News alleged that the NRA would not fight a federal universal background check bill provided that the UBC bill omits language that calls for a national gun registry. Kaise Hunt, a political reporter for NBC News wrote:
Senators negotiating a bill mandating background checks for all gun buyers are privately expecting the National Rifle Association not to fight the measure — provided the legislation does not require private gun sellers to maintain records of the checks, NBC News has learned.
If that requirement is met and key Republican negotiator Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma signs on, the powerful gun lobby has signaled to lawmakers that they would not actively oppose the bill — and not count votes in favor of it as part of its highly influential NRA lawmaker ratings — according to Senate aides familiar with the stalled negotiations.
The story posted on NBCNews.com alleges that NRA will not oppose expanding the background check system to include all private firearm sales, “provided the legislation does not require private gun sellers to maintain records of the checks”.
This statement is completely untrue.
The NRA opposes criminalizing private firearms transfers between law-abiding individuals, and therefore opposes an expansion of the background check system.
The NRA supports meaningful efforts to address the problems of violent crime and mass violence in America, through swift and certain prosecution of violent criminals; securing our schools; and fixing our broken mental health system.
So, matter settled, right?
Perhaps. But, I believe the question isn’t whether the NRA would fight a UBC bill, because let’s face it, they’re the NRA, they’re going to publicly oppose anything that even vaguely resembles a gun control bill, the question is whether they would really care if it passed.

There were tough questions and no breakthroughs, but a source inside the closed-door meeting called it “very cordial” and told me that virtually every House Republican who stood up to ask a question began by saying, “Thank you for coming” and “You are welcome here anytime.” Some added, “We need to work together.”

What a, um, surprise. More lies from Janet Incompetanto’s DHS. At the EXACT same time her ICE division was setting 2,800 criminal illegal aliens loose from jails in 12 states before the ‘sequester’ in February – which Big Sis insisted was necessary due to “looming budget cuts” – her TSA division was sealing a $50-million deal to purchase new UNIFORMS for its agents. So for the same amount could have housed every one of those released detainees for an additional 10 months, TSA agents will look swell in shiny new uniforms, while thousands of criminal aliens are out on American streets. Oh and here’s the kicker: the uniforms were partially manufactured…IN MEXICO!
The impending sequester did not prevent the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) from acting in late February to seal a $50-million deal to purchase new uniforms for its agents–uniforms that will be partly manufactured in Mexico.
Soon after this new investment in TSA uniforms, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano warned Americans that the lines are already lengthening at airports due to the sequester.
“We are already seeing the effect on the ports of entry, the big airports for example,” Napolitano told Politico on Monday. “Some of them had very long lines this weekend.”
“Look people, I don’t mean to scare, I mean to inform,” Napolitiano said.”If you’re traveling, get to the airport earlier than you otherwise would. There’s only so much we can do with personnel and please don’t yell at the customs officers, the TSA officers. They aren’t responsible for sequester.”

Pelosi: ‘Tax Cuts Are Spending’ March 7, 2013 By Terence P. Jeffrey
(CNSNews.com) – House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) said today that the government must cut spending, and then explained that: “Tax cuts are spending.”
“Our whole budget is what $3.5 trillion,” Pelosi said at a Capitol Hill press conference. “So, when we talk about reducing spending, we certainly must, and we certainly have–$1.6 trillion in the previous Congress, $1.2 of it in the Budget Control Act.
A leaked email from an Agriculture Department field officer adds fuel to claims President Obama’s political strategy is to make the billions in recent federal budget cuts as painful as possible to win the public opinion battle against Republicans.
The email, circulated around Capitol Hill, was sent Monday by Charles Brown, a director at the agency’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service office in Raleigh, N.C. He appears to tell his regional team about a response to his recent question on the amount of latitude he has in making cuts.

Despite its own insistence that it is very much alive, the Republican Party has now joined the crowd invisible.
The sad pathetic truth of its demise is that those who once believed in it, and cared deeply for it, are no longer around to bury it with dignity. Its corpse has now become the dancing play thing of Washington D.C. consulting firms and lobbyist.
But why? Worrying about debt and default and entitlements is for the responsible people.
Responsibility is for the people who believe in the “responsible self,” the notion developed a couple of millennia ago during the Axial Age. Responsibility is for the bourgeoisie.
President Obama is above all that. Liberal politics in general is above all that. Their politics is about war, not about nice comfortable entitlements. President Obama’s War? He’s fighting a war on “inequality.” Even the Washington Post‘s Zachary Goldfarb is willing to admit to that.
Petraeus Scandal: An affair that was known to the FBI for months and kept from congressional oversight committees might explain his complicity in a false narrative of the Benghazi terrorist attack and the order to “stand down.”
The addition of sex to Benghazigate adds a dimension sure to keep the scandal going and one that does indeed make Watergate seem like a third-rate burglary. The affair admitted to by Gen. David Petraeus, now our former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, might have attached blackmail or the potential for blackmail to a scandal we have already called a case of criminal negligence.
Battalions of super-soldiers could be selected for specific duties on the basis of their genetic make-up and then constantly monitored for signs of weakness. So says a report by the U.S. National Academies of Science (NAS).
If a soldier is struggling, a digital “buddy” might step in to warn about nearby threats, or advise comrades to zap the soldier with an electromagnet to increase his alertness. If the whole unit is falling apart, biosensors could warn central commanders to send in a replacement team.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday defended the health care reform law, tying it to the promises written in the Declaration of Independence.
The Affordable Care Act is “about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for the American people,” Pelosi told reporters on Capitol Hill. She said it “unlocks” them from a job to pursue happiness without the threat of losing their health insurance.
A same-sex ceremony between a lesbian couple in the base chapel at Fort Polk in Louisiana has created a storm of controversy among conservative religious leaders and a growing number of lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
…..He continues: “According to the ancient mystery revealed in the Book of Isaiah, if after that first calamity and warning, the nation doesn’t return to God but responds in defiance, it will end up triggering a second calamity.
It was because of this ancient key, that, seven years after 9/11, the American economy collapsed. In the days after 9/11, the Federal Reserve slashed the base interest rate in an attempt to defy the consequences of the attacks. That action put us on the path leading to the collapse of the American economy seven years later. In 2008, the government made a second fatal mistake, another ill-fated financial decision, that would trigger the collapse of the American economy. Amazingly, it took place on the seventh anniversary of the uttering of the ancient vow on Capitol Hill.”
Listen to Ron Paul
Although Congress was back in session for scarcely more than a day last week, private citizens across the country managed to cause an uproar felt across Capitol Hill. The uproar took the form of hundreds of thousands of phone calls to both Senators and Representatives, urging them to oppose two draconian new bills that threaten the free and unbridled flow of information on the internet.
On Wednesday last week, dozens of prominent websites like Wikipedia, Reddit, and Craigslist, were blacked out in protest of two bills known in DC jargon as SOPA and PIPA. SOPA is the House bill; PIPA is its Senate companion. These bills ostensibly will combat internet piracy, and of course we also are told they will help us wage the never ending “war on terror.”
The war over copyright infringement on the Internet might seem like an easy one for some members of Congress, but for supporters of the Stop Online Piracy Act, Capitol Hill is about to battle it out with some big opponents: bloggers.
From micromessages warning of the dangers of the act on Twitter in under 140 characters to affectations manifested in lengthy diatribes ripe with legalese, the blogosphere is brimming with concern over what the Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA, will do to the Internet. While lawmakers insist that the legislation is necessary to curtail copyright infringement, some users of the Web are writing on their sites that the Internet as we know it will be brought down by the act, weblogs and all.
“If either the US Senate’s Protect IP Act (PIPA) & the US House’s Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) become law, political blogs such as Red Mass Group [conservative] & Blue Mass Group [liberal] will cease to exist,” a blogger on the right-wing website Red Mass Group posted recently.

RUSH: Let’s move on to the congressional super committee. Now, I want you to have audio sound bite 20 standing by. I have to admit this is a little troubling. But I’m gonna reserve some of this because it’s reported in the Drive-By State-Controlled Media. First up, the Washington Post. “Republican Super Committee Members’ Tax Plan Gives Party An Identity Crisis — Growing Republican support for raising taxes to help reduce the deficit has prompted a GOP identity crisis, sparking a clash within the party over whether to abandon its bedrock anti-tax doctrine. Tensions have mounted in recent days as two of the GOP’s most fervent anti-tax stalwarts on Capitol Hill — Sen. Patrick J. Toomey (Pa.) and Rep. Jeb Hensarling (Tex.) — have lobbied party colleagues behind the scenes to forgo their old allegiances and even break campaign promises by embracing hundreds of billions of dollars in tax hikes.
“The two conservative lawmakers have pushed the increases as part of their work on the bipartisan congressional ‘super committee’ tasked with finding at least $1.2 trillion in deficit reductions by a Thanksgiving deadline. Their plan, which also addresses entitlement spending, would generate at least $300 billion in new tax revenue…” It’s what we talked about yesterday, but now the Washington Post is portraying this as these Republicans wanting to just flat-out raise taxes, and they are trying to get other Republicans in Congress to go along with it, to raise taxes. No, they want to lower rates. They’re not talking about raising tax rates. They’re talking about raising revenue, and the media is misrepresenting what they’re doing. At least one veteran Capitol Hill lawmaker is quietly looking into a revealing comment contained in remarks delivered the other day to the United Nations by Laura E. Kennedy, this country’s permanent representative to the Conference on Disarmament.
A tempest erupted when the Bellevue-based Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms uncovered a copy of Kennedy’s remarks via a website sponsored by Reaching Critical Will, which is more normally associated with nuclear proliferation and military armament concerns.
Here’s the comment that has lit everyone’s fuse:
The United States signed the Inter-American Convention against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials in 1997, and the Obama Administration is seeking advice and consent to ratification by the U.S. Senate.— Laura E. Multiple sources, including sources from ATF, DOJ and Congressional offices have said there is a white paper circulating within the Department of Justice, outlining the essential elimination of ATF. According to sources, the paper outlines the firing of at least 450 ATF agents in an effort to conduct damage control as Operation Fast and Furious gets uglier and as election day 2012 gets closer.
“It’s a serious white paper being circulated, how far they’d get with it I don’t know,” a confidential source said.
After a town hall meeting about Operation Fast and Furious in Tucson, Ariz. on Monday, ATF Whistleblower Vince Cefalu, who has been key in exposing details about Operation Fast and Furious, confirmed the elimination of ATF has been circulating as a serious idea for sometime now and that a white paper outlining the plan does exist.
Sounds great right? Eliminating ATF? But there is more to this story. Remember, low level ATF field agents, like ATF whistleblower John Dodson, were uncomfortable conducting Operation Fast and Furious from the beginning, but were told by high level officials within ATF that if they had a problem with the operation, they could find a job elsewhere.
“Allowing loads of weapons that we knew to be destined for criminals, this was the plan. It was so mandated,” ATF Whistleblower John Dodson said in testimony on Capitol Hill on June 15, 2011.
In fact, not only were the ATF agents forced to carry out the operation, they were told to go against what they had been taught in training.

In light of the fact that a government shutdown has been only narrowly averted once again, this time regarding FEMA funding, Paul noted that debating important issues seems to have been almost completely lost amidst a culture of partisan stand offs on Capitol Hill.
“American people are upset because we keep bumping up against deadlines. It sort of looks like poor planning or it looks like a circus up here because we always bump up against deadlines.” Paul told CNN host John King.
“But I can tell you I’m up here day after day not voting, sitting around, having no debate and then the deadline comes and it’s hurry up or the government shuts down.” Paul added.
“How come we didn’t have this debate last week or the week before or the week before that? Everything comes to a deadline, I think, because of poor leadership and poor planning in this place.” the Senator urged.
Defending his own position on reigning in government spending, no matter how small, Paul said that, though he would never be in favor of a government shutdown, such issues must be appropriately addressed if the deficit is ever going to be reduced.
“…every program up here you can say it’s only a tiny amount of money, but you know if you can’t cut 100 million here or you can’t offset three billion there, we’re never going to balance a $1.5 trillion deficit.” paul urged.
“So really you do have to look at even small amounts and it should be a priority. Should we be spending this money overseas in foreign aid or foreign welfare? Should we be building our bridges here in our country?”
* A d v e r t i s e m e n t
“Every time we have a new spending program, it’s got to be offset by cuts in other places and that’s the only responsible way for a legislature to act is to prioritize spending.” Paul added.
“For example, on the highway fund or you giving money to turtle tunnels, squirrel sanctuaries and flower beds and our bridges are crumbling. That’s what I asked the president. Can we not fix our bridges and put off some of these beautification projects for a while? I think that’s a bipartisan way of looking at it and I’m more than willing to work with the president on that.”

Aiming to renew the ardor of Democratic loyalists who have grown increasingly disenchanted with him, the president mixed frontal attacks on Republicans with words of encouragement intended to buck up the faithful as the 2012 campaign revs up.
“From the moment I took office what we’ve seen is a constant ideological pushback against any kind of sensible reforms that would make our economy work better and give people more opportunity,” the president said at an intimate brunch fundraiser at the Medina, Wash., home of former Microsoft executive Jon Shirley.
About 65 guests were paying $35,800 per couple to listen to Obama at the first of seven fundraisers he was holding from Seattle to Hollywood to San Diego on Sunday and Monday.
