After enduring a major public-relations tsunami this summer, Chick-fil-A, the Atlanta-based sandwich shop that’s closed on Sundays, says it will end its decade-long corporate support of culture-warrior groups that oppose gay marriage.
Joun Marshall, the first Chief Justice of the US, said, “The power to tax is the power to destroy.” The fIght to redefine marriagehas implications for every church in America. If same sex marriage is made law of the land,
any church refusing to perform a ceremony can lose it’s tax-exempt status. This situation would be analogous to cases where churches post Civil Right refused interracial marriage. The Supreme Court upheld any church refusing to perform a legal marriage would lose tax-exempt status.
Pastors refusing to perform these ceremonies which go against the clear word of God could also be sued personally for damages and attorney fees under Civil Rights law. Homosexuals have tried to make their campaign analagous to the struggle of African Americans. A host of legal protections is what they truly want.
Liberal talk show host blames FRC shooting on ‘gutter Christians’ who went ‘too far’

The “ filthy, degenerate, gutter Christians” at the Family Research Council inspired last week’s shooting by “going too far” with their pro-family activism, according to a nationally syndicated liberal talk show host.
“You filthy, filthy right-wing b——-ds, you’re going too far!” Mike Malloytold his audience last week. “One of these days somebody’s going to go berserk and walk into one of your filthy holes of religious insanity with a gun.”
An overwhelming majority of New Yorkers don’t want politicians grilling Chick-fil-A.
A Quinnipiac University poll being released today found that voters by a lopsided 83-11 percent margin feel elected officials shouldn’t try to discourage people from patronizing the fast food chain just because its CEO openly opposes gay marriage.
Does anyone get the impression that the American left will use anything and anyone to further its cause? Today it’s the gay flash mob tomorrow who knows what it will be. The end result will be total failure but at what price?
Without a shot being fired, is it that they want to launch a coup against the United States? Maybe calling it a coup is too much for those who cannot deal with reality. Maybe we should call it a soft coup the dream of the progressive left. Is it that this is a furthering of the progressive movement that seeks to suffocate the 200 year American constitutional movement and evolve it into a nonsensical socialist blob?
We were thinking about this flash mob that attacked Chick-Fil-A. In this case the mob consisted of an axis of the main stream media, the usual suspects of Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Emmanuel et al. and the rest of the leftist truants, the leftist homosexual community and other useful idiots. We already know that President Obama wants to replace the Constitution with his version of the Communist Manifesto but what of the mayors of Chicago, San Francisco, and Boston. They swore an oath to the Constitution when assuming the mayoral office, but when they put together a flash mob to attack Chick-Fil-A they flagrantly violated their constitutional oath. They were in essence saying,” Now that we have the power, to hell with the Constitution we are going to replace it with gibberish and nonsense for fun and profit. Today the gay movement will serve our purposes. Tomorrow it will be something else. Nah! Nah! Nah! The Constitution is no more.”
Do you ever wonder how these leftists always seem to come into office with nothing and leave with hundreds of millions? Isn’t that odd? These leftists who hate the rich become richer than the 1% by steering all those lucrative Federal contracts their way.
Is it really that the Chick-Fil-A controversy boils down to letting gays have their version of marriage, or is it that those pulling the strings of power seek to reduce core values down to confusion before they replace them with the real agenda. What could it be?
While most big-box chain stores and restaurants love to pander to leftist causes, two national restaurant chains recently dived into the public fray on the side of political incorrectness. Denny’s restaurant made a commercial extolling the right to keep and bear arms as part of America’s greatness, and the Chick-fil-A president made a statement that his company supports “the biblical definition of the family unit.” Predictably, the left has gone ballistic–especially in their paranoid reaction to Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy’s comment.
As the name suggests, the Chick-fil-A chain specializes in chicken, not beef products.
It’s also the sponsor of the annual college football game played in Atlanta, formerly known as the Peach Bowl and now simply the “Chick-fil-A Bowl.”
The company is owned by the Cathy family. The Cathys are devout Baptists. One of the company’s hallmarks is that it closes on Sundays, almost unheard of for a fast food chain.
Many customers like the restaurant’s food, and Chick-fil-A has done well. But now it faces protests, criticism and a harsh challenge. Why?
They ought to be ashamed of themselves POSTED ON JULY 31, 2012, AT 6:42 AM
The media-news site JimRomenesko.com reports on Facebook comments by Fort Myers (Fla.) News-Press reporter Mark Krzos, who summed up his disgust as he covered Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day: “Such a brave stand … eating a g-ddamn sandwich.”
“I have never felt so alien in my own country as I did today while covering the restaurant’s supporters.
The level of hatred, unfounded fear and misinformed people was astoundingly sad. I can’t even print some of the things people said,” he claimed. Then he bashed talk radio:

RUSH: Raleigh, North Carolina, this is Jay. Thanks for the call, sir. Great to have you here.
CALLER: Thanks for having me on, Rush.
RUSH: You bet.
CALLER: I just wanted to touch base with you in regards to what I saw. I went to a Chick-fil-A in Raleigh,
Carolina, today. It took me 20 minutes just to even get my order placed. It was packed full of exciting people and a lot of people there just excited to be there. I’ve been through that Chick-fil-A a lot. I’ve never seen it so crowded.
she used her official letterhead and even invoked her position as City Council speaker to apply pressure on the embattled chicken chain.

You Didn’t Fil-A That: Chicken fight is only round one by Daniel Clark
Democrat mayors across America have evidently gotten the memo from party headquarters.
you own a business, it’s not nearly as much yours as you think it is. Your property only exists thanks to a collective effort, thereby rendering it communal property.
Chick-fil-A: Democrats’ Jihad Against Christians (“Make no mistake about it; this is much bigger than Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-A.”)
The relentless war by the left on Christians and biblical values has reached a new and more frightening phase with announcements by Democrat mayors and city officials across the country that they are “banning” fast food restaurant Chick-fil-A from their cities because company president Dan Cathy said unapologetically that he is in “support of the traditional family.”
Make no mistake about it; this is much bigger than Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-A.
…Progressive politicians from coast to coast were lining up last week to keep Chick-Fil-A’s…restaurants out of their towns after the company’s president… made statements that [he supports traditional marriage]. . .Chicago alderman Joe Moreno, called Cathy “bigoted” and “homophobic” and added:
for his opposition to same-sex marriage days after issuing a letter decrying what he sees as the nation’s moral decay.
Rev. Billy Graham, at 93 the senior statesman among Christian leaders in America today, says he’s rooting for his longtime friends, the Cathy family, in a nasty public blowup over their religious beliefs.
“I want to express my support for my good friends Truett Cathy and his son Dan Cathy, and for their strong stand for the Christian
faith,” he said in a statement released by the Billy Graham Evangelical Association……….
Jacobson reveals the hypocrisy and dangerous precedent it sets to condemn private businesses for the
religious philosophies of the owners or the staff.
Jacobson points out that Chicago’s, Rahm Emanuel is supporting the call to block Chick-fil-A in Chicago, yet the city recently allowed Louis Farrakan, of the Nation of Islam, to re-open a restaurant there.
Last week, reports emerged that Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy had condemned gay marriage. It’s no secret that the company is run by devout Christians, but this still caused an uproar. Boston‘s mayor threatened to deny the company business permits, celebrities condemned the company, and the Muppets announced fast food chain wouldn’t be able to license any new toys for their kids meals.
Fast-food company deals with firestorm (Chik-Fil-A) BOTTOM LINE: ““There was quite a bit of fallout. They took heavy criticism,” Sanders said. “But here’s the thing: Their sales increased.””)
A week after Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy’s comments on marriage created a firestorm, the Atlanta company finds itself grappling with a public relations snarl that some experts say could affect its bottom line.

At what point did being right and normal become “controversial”? Oh, we know the cultural tectonic shift from traditional moral values to chaotic debauchery began in earnest in the 1960s, and we have seen our society gradually and steadily slide into moral decay since then.
“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.
“We operate as a family business … our restaurants are typically led by families; some are single. We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that,” Cathy emphasized.
“We intend to stay the course,” he said. “We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles.”
