Charley Reese, a retired Orlando Sentinel columnist known for his conservative voice, has died, according to a Facebook post by his daughter.
Reese, who was 76, died Tuesday after a long illness, according to the post. He was admitted to a hospital in February and later was transferred to a rehabilitation facility.

Whatever Obama, Hilary Clinton, Susan Rice and other Obama faction officials were seeking to achieve with their lies about the terrorist murders of U.S. officials in Benghazi; whatever the full extent of the ideologically motivated political abuses at the IRS, one thing is clear. Except for mindless apparatchiks, thoughtlessly loyal to the Obama cult, (like Chris Matthews and Al Sharpton, for example) no sane person can now consider it crazy or irrational to distrust the words and actions of those presently controlling the U.S. government. These scandals show the self-serving ‘chutzpah’ of Obama’s snide dismissal of people who “warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s at the root of all our problems….They’ll warn that tyranny [is] always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices.”
In one respect, Obama’s words ring true. Tyranny isn’t just around the corner. It is already upon us. Its forces are not yet confident enough to employ the ‘Gestapo’ tactics routinely associated with socialist dictatorship. But they have obviously been using their control of the Federal bureaucracy to repress and intimidate individuals and grassroots organizations, preoccupying their time and depleting their resources. Should we be encouraged by the fact that these abuses are now being openly discussed and decried? Only if the stir actually leads to actions that effectively curtail them, while establishing am oversight mechanism that assures continually formal and public scrutiny, to make sure that they cannot be repeated without an immediate outcry.
But what if no such action is taken? Inaction is likely, given the collaborative mindset of the GOP leaders in the U.S. House, and the Obama faction’s solid majority in the U.S. Senate. If it happens these abuses will recur in a more virulent form. And they will spread, like an infection treated with an inadequate course of antibiotics. People will realize that the abuses are still in train, and that their elected officials have done nothing to reduce each individual’s vulnerability. Increasingly tinged with fear, the angry public reaction against the abuses will wane. Spreading from one individual to another, as episodes of abuse proliferate, this individual fear will gradually intensify until it dominates the public mind. This is the way tyranny subverts peace of mind.

Yesterday, administration was involved in a cover-up. “If this was some effort on our part to try to downplay what had happened or tamp it down, that would be a pretty odd thing that three days later we end up putting out all the information,” Obama said.
“Who executes some sort of cover-up or effort to tamp things down for three days? So the whole thing defies logic.” Equally willing to defy logic was Obama’s MSNBC # Chris Matthews, who has been more than eager to carry water for the Obama administration. Indeed, Matthews’ coverage of the unrelenting Benghazi scandal has distinguished itself as being particularly loathsome.
Last Thursday, Matthews was in fine form. After acknowledging that Greg Hicks, former deputy chief of mission in Libya, had testified before the House that he had spoken with Hillary Clinton on the night of the attack and that Clinton’s Chief of Staff tried to intimidate him into silence, Matthews downplayed the egregiousness of the former secretary of State’s scandalous behavior.

Although it is now digital, Newsweek celebrated President Obama’s upcoming inauguration with a “cover” that calls the event “the second coming,” an apparent reference to the return of Jesus Christ, The Blaze reported Friday.

He said over the next 60 days, The Blaze will open three foreign bureaus in cities that are “important to America.” He will also relocate his New York staff from their current midtown offices into a building that will “send a very clear message to everyone in New York… it will piss everyone off.”

“Our Nightline will be a nightly half hour broadcast to update you on a topic that no one else quite frankly has the balls to do. I will,” he said.

Matthews: “So Proud” Of Obama Addressing Troops In Afghanistan
Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” raved about a speech President Obama made to American troops during his surprise visit to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.
“I imagine being a soldier over there [and] this is what you want to hear,” Matthews said, as if he was wearing military fatigues.
Matthews also likened the leadership of President Obama to that of Henry V of England.
“It was right out of Henry V actually, a touch of Barry, in this case, in the night for those soldiers risking their lives over there,” Matthews said.
“Well that’s great stuff. I was so proud of the President there, I must say. This has nothing to do with partisanship; this is the Commander-in-Chief meeting with the troops,” Chris Matthews gushed on his program today.

Now, though, he has three plus years as president under his belt. He has the executive experience he lacked in 2008. And incumbents are generally reelected. If he gets bounced by someone who has no presidential experience wouldn’t that be even more racist?”
Matthews further suggested that “to judge him by white standards seems inappropriate. The whole notion that a person ought to excel or achieve—isn’t that what people of color call ‘acting white?’ Shouldn’t breaking this stereotype be one of the objectives of America’s first non-white Chief Executive?

In an embarrassing display of partisanship and outright bias, Matthews poked into every avenue he could in an attempt to paint Paul up as a delusional, paranoid, racist conspiracy theorist. Any non discerning viewers may well have gone away believing Paul was Satan himself when Matthews was finished.
After every sorry attempt to defame Paul, Matthews turned to his bewildered looking guests for reassurance that Paul was indeed a demon sent from the depths of hell to destroy humanity and plunge the planet into eternal darkness.

RUSH: The story is from the Houston Chronicle. “Talk about your Monday from hell. Not only did Bridgett Nickerson Boyd’s car break down on her way to work, but when she pulled over to the side of the freeway, a sheriff’s deputy named Mark Goad pulled behind her, wrote her a ticket for driving on the shoulder, decided to arrest her, followed her to the hospital when her suddenly racing heart prompted a call to paramedics, then took her into custody again after she was treated by doctors and finally drove her to jail.”

“To make matters worse, Boyd claims in a lawsuit that the handcuffs were put on her wrists painfully tight and that she was forced to listen to conservative broadcaster Rush Limbaugh “make derogatory comments about black people” all the way to the jail. Boyd is African-American. Because of the incident, which occurred on Oct. 4, 2010,” and we’re just now learning of this, “Boyd filed a federal lawsuit Monday against Goad and Harris County alleging defamation, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, assault and battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.” That’s where I come in.
“‘Deputy Goad was aware that Boyd had not committed a crime and her arrest was without probable cause,’ according to the lawsuit filed in Houston. The magistrate who saw her while jailed apparently agreed and dismissed all charges. A spokesman for Sheriff Adrian Garcia declined to comment on the lawsuit.” We have an audio sound bite on this. This is a montage of Houston television stations and anchors talking about the woman suing Houston police because they forced her to listen to

HURST: We haven’t heard this one before. She complains a deputy forced her to listen to Rush Limbaugh. She’s suing for mental anguish.
BALLEZA: Handcuffed, and forced to listen to Rush Limbaugh?
SACHSE: She was forced to listen to Rush Limbaugh, quote, “make derogatory remarks about black people through the deputy’s radio on the way to jail.”
CAREY: To torment her, he made her sit in the back of his patrol car listening to Rush Limbaugh.
RUSH: Now, it sounds like the way this thing got reported down there, that that was the number one offense. (laughing) Not the handcuffs. This woman doesn’t know how lucky she is. What a great opportunity she had, forced to listen. Derogatory comments about black people? We don’t make derogatory comments about black people. We make derogatory comments about liberals. Chris Matthews Blames Tea Party for Gifford Shooting
If there’s one thing Chris Matthews is good at, it’s spewing rhetoric-infested propaganda that generally ends up making himself look like an ignorant dunce. Indeed, while the rest of the country was celebrating Gabrielle Gifford’s surprise visit to Washington today, Matthews was lumping “gun-toting” Tea Partiers into the same category as psychotic murderers. Here is MSNBC‘s crazy nut job host in his attempt to play “hardball”:
“It’s also important to remember why she was, why she was coming back. She was shot by a violent act, of course a person using a gun, breaking up a political meeting with a gun, bringing one to a political event which we saw a lot of during the Tea Party demonstrations, people carrying firearms to political events. The violent level of the right-wing in this country, not particularly this case but generally where people feel the need to show firearms at political events, I think that’s a bad development in our history to bring guns to political events.”
“You should come to argue not to show your firearms. And to have now this horrible case of a woman who was shot down in her political act, meeting with her constituents shot, only not dead because of modern medicine and her character and her resilience, that is all part of this story this year, Howard, and I’m not going to forget it.”
Matthews was careful not to directly accuse the Tea Party as responsible for the Gifford shooting, but his insinuation is quite obvious. But also, quite false. After all, last time I checked, two of Jared Loughner‘s favorite books are Mein Kempf and the Communist Manifesto – not exactly Tea Party-friendly literature.

Tucker Carlson on Tuesday said, “Very few people have done more to divide the country than Chris Matthews.”
Such occurred on Fox‘s “Hannity” show as the Great American Panel discussed the “Hardball” host’s deplorable interview with Congressman Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) earlier in the day (video follows with transcript and commentary):
SEAN HANNITY, HOST: Ooh. Thrill up my, that was a good line.
TUCKER CARLSON, DAILY CALLER: It’s excruciating for Chris to listen to other people talk for once. You could see the kind of pain in his face. But, you know, he’s spent the last couple years just sucking up to this guy, sniffing his throne, really, kind of, in an obsequious embarrassing way humiliating himself on behalf of Obama. It must be difficult to watch what’s happened to the country.
SEAN HANNITY, HOST: It’s a good, that’s a good point. Now you as a, as a, you know, lifelong Democrat, you have tried to get the Party to moderate a little bit, and they have just, they’ve excoriated you for urging moderation.

It is yet another example of how the corporate media will lie and break agreements in order to accomplish its overarching mission — to denigrate and tear down any political candidate who will endeavor to break the stranglehold of mega-corporations and banks over the political life of the nation.Earlier in the week Texas Republican Ron Paul ventured into enemy territory when he agreed to appear on the Lawrence O’Donnell show on MSNBC, the same network that ambushed his son and attempted to portray him as a member of the Ku Klux Klan opposed to the Civil Rights Act.
The corporate media immediately took its cue from the Maddow “interview” — actually a drive-by attempt at character assassination — and ran back-to-back segments designed to make Paul out to be a racist. The wife of former Federal Reserve mob boss Alan Greenspan, Andrea Mitchell, declared the attempt to destroy Ran Paul was “a game changing interview.” It was nothing of the sort. Rand Paul leads the race in Kentucky.David Gregory of “Meet the Press” called Rand’s comments “pretty far out view even for those on the right” and professional character assassin Chris Matthews went on “Leno” to bash Paul as “a philosopher and philosophers shouldn’t run for office.
”Instead of philosophers, we get a lickspittles for the establishment.Matthews’ job is to steer people away from the fact that Obama and the Democrats are no different than Bush and the Republicans. Both work for the banksters. Both support forever war and the ongoing effort to erect pyres of dead bodies in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and soon enough Iran.
