appointed by the Obama administration to produce a report on climate change says that if Earth’s climate were still “primarily controlled by natural factors”—rather than by man-made global warming—then the next ice age would occur within the next 1,500 years.

But now, because of humans, the committee says, the next ice age has been “delayed indefinitely.”
“Confirmation of what are called Milankovich cycles (cyclical changes in the Earth’s orbit that explain the onset and ending of ice ages) led a few scientists in the 1970s to suggest that the current warm interglacial period might be ending soon, plunging the Earth into a new ice age over the next few centuries,” the advisory committee said in a draft report released last month.

When George W Bush declared war on an abstract noun – “Terror” – he was widely and inevitably mocked by the left for his foolishness. Not to be outdone, Barack Obama has used his second inaugural address to declare war on an even more nebulous threat to the security of the world: reality, itself.

We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations. Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires, and crippling drought, and more powerful storms.
The first sentence is a blatant untruth. Concerted global action so far to deal with the threat of climate change has resulted in: higher energy prices; more deaths from fuel poverty; more intrusive regulation; the destruction of rainforests and the squandering of agricultural land on biofuels; higher food prices; famine and food riots – as a result partly of the drive for biofuels; the entrenchment of corporatism and rent-seeking to the detriment of free markets; the ravaging of the countryside with ugly solar farms and even uglier wind turbines; the deaths of millions of birds and bats; the great recession. How any of this has in any way benefited either our children (who are going to find it far harder to find a job) or future generations is a complete mystery.

However, this goes to show that these terms have become perniciously engrained in popular culture.

I realize you can’t judge a book by its cover, but — oh, my.
A whole slew of new “research” on conservatives’ and global warming skeptics’ “brains” has hit the academic circuit.
First off, environment and sociology Prof. Kari Norgaard’s [Ed: pictured at right] new study claims skeptics of man-made global warming fears should be “treated” for their skepticism. The study compares skepticism to man-made climate fears to the struggle against racism and slavery.
Prof. Norgaard’s concept of “treating” those who do not follow the current day’s political or social orthodoxy is, frighteningly, not new. A quick look at the 20th century totalitarian super states reveals many similar impulses.
It’s even more chilling that there is a whole new movement afoot by the promoters of man-made global warming theory to intimidate climate skeptics by using new brain “research.”

Dubbed the “Climate and Clean Air Coalition,” the emerging alliance includes the governments ruling Mexico, Bangladesh, Canada, Sweden, and Ghana.
The February 16 announcement was made in Washington, D.C. by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who claimed Benjamin Franklin would somehow be “pleased” about the developments. An assortment of so-called “Environmental Ministers” from other countries, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency EPA boss Lisa Jackson, and UN Environment Program UNEP chief Achim Steiner were also present.UNEP boss Steiner, who will help oversee the daily operations of the new “coalition,” also invoked Franklin — an ardent supporter of liberty — to justify the statist policies being pursued.

Never mind where you might stand on the question of global warming, global cooling, climate change or plain old weather. If there’s one constant to this entire climate debate, it is that in the name of “climate,” the United Nations wishes to regulate and tax the economy of the planet — stripping resources from the most productive economies to hand them out as assorted UN bureaucrats deem fit.
This is an agenda for global central planning — which, at the extreme, is what the Soviet Union envisioned as the radiant future of mankind, at least until the USSR itself collapsed as a basket case of monstrously misallocated resources, pervaded by the nightmare repression required to enforce such a system. Nonetheless, at the UN this agenda keeps coming up, year after year, at one climate conference after another. The proclamations of emergency have varied, but always, in the middle of it, there is the UN, proposing to serve as planner and traffic cop for global commerce — a role that entails the UN aiming to redirect resources and collecting a cut to cover the administrative enterprises of its own neo-colonial empire of agencies, organizations, intergovernmental outfits, programs and special envoys. Somehow that already includes a need for climate conferees to travel great distances at other people’s expense, with UN officials touching down from business class long-haul flights to spend a week, or maybe two, conferring at luxury hotels in locations such as Rio, Copenhagen, Cancun and Bali.

At best, the reference to a blanket is a bad metaphor. Blankets act primarily to suppress convection; the atmosphere acts to enable convection. To claim that the atmosphere acts a blanket, is to admit that you don’t know how either one of them operates.

DHAKA, Nov 14 (Reuters) – United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Monday urged governments in rich nations to work around troubled economic times and scale up donations to a global climate change fund that is at risk of becoming an “empty shell”.
The world’s poorest nations are particularly vulnerable to rising sea levels, more extremes of droughts and floods and say rich nations should help them with cash to try to adapt.
Nearly 200 nations agreed at major climate talks last year in Cancun, Mexico, to raise $100 billion annually from 2020 to help poor nations fight climate change. The money would be managed by a Green Climate Fund.

He and others who track what they call “denialism” find that its nature is changing in America, last redoubt of climate naysayers. It has taken on a more partisan, ideological tone. Polls find a widening Republican-Democratic gap on climate. Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry even accuses climate scientists of lying for money. I Like Big Trucks And I Cannot Lie
So, fellas! So, ladies! Do you want cheap gas and big, safe rides? Then, drill. Drill. Drill a healthy life.
No, I’m not Sir Mix-A-Lot. I simply think we should responsibly utilize our natural resources to improve the security and prosperity of all Americans.
Think about the last time you moved, went camping or took your boat to the lake. Did you wish you drove a Smart car? Or, did you wish your ride were bigger?
When it comes to cars, big is better. Bigger cars are safer. They haul more people and things. They typically ride higher—providing the driver with a better view. And, they are more comfortable (tall people can drive them without needing a chiropractor’s alignment.)
On the flip side, bigger vehicles use more gas and allegedly hurt the environment. So, let’s solve these two challenges.
Gas prices will go down when oil is plentiful and there is certainty in the marketplace. So, we should promptly drill for oil.
“Not so fast!” environmentalists will object. “We can’t drill for oil if we care about reducing climate change and greenhouse gas emissions.”
Well, environmentalists are behind the times. Liberal politicians and the Obama administration admit climate change is a flawed theory by failing to offer realistic “alternative” energy plans and by avoiding climate change as a selling point for new energy policies.

UNITED NATIONS AFP – A top UN panel on Friday called for increased taxes on carbon emissions and air and sea transport to raise 100 billion dollars a year to combat climate change.The group led by the prime ministers of Norway and Ethiopia also proposed a tax on international financial transactions for a fund to help poorer nations counter the impact of the warming planet.
The radical proposals will be sent to all governments and get a first international airing at the next UN climate conference in Cancun, Mexico starting at the end of the month.The report “contains financing options that are both financially feasible and politically viable,” said UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. “This is not about charity. A popular new game for the iPhone depicts a giant worm slaughtering humans and knocking airplanes out of the sky to save “mother earth” in another shocking example of how the eco-fascists that have taken over the environmental movement are obsessed with mass genocide and gory death.
As I look out my window while typing this article, the sky is blue, the sun is shining, the trees are swaying and the birds are singing, but according to the makers of Super Mega Worm, the planet was only like this many hundreds of years ago before humans started making evil machines that belched carbon dioxide.During the opening sequence, the blue and green earth is shown to slowly turn into a brown and grey goop, with accompanying images of environmental destruction making clear that man is to blame for this non-existent phenomenon, followed by the words “Mother Earth is Dying”.
But fear not, because “her last defense has been unleashed,” in the form of a huge worm that chomps its way though children and women with baby strollers as blood splatters everywhere in a similar vein to the harrowing 10:10 Global climate change propaganda film that depicted people who refused to lower their carbon footprint being liquidated amidst an explosion of blood and guts.Watch the clip below.The game, described as “fun and unique” by CNet, challenges the player to “destroy all humans” by maneuvering a giant earth worm with teeth and spikes from the soil, to the sky and even into space. The worm blows up cars and airplanes while either frying humans with its flame-throwing breath or simply eating them up.
The worm even has the ability to bounce into space and destroy the International Space Station, an example of how eco-mentalists are obsessed with returning the planet to the stone age and reversing hundreds of years of technological progress.
The Green Agenda Is About Getting Rid Of As Many Humans As Possible
Most people tend to think of environmentalists as warm, cuddly hippies that just want all of us to love one another and to do what is right for the environment. And in fact, there are a few people out there who are actually like that. However, the people at the very heart of the green agenda are a quite different breed.
The truth is that there are a growing number of environmental activists including some very, very famous people who are publicly advocating the end of our freedoms, the establishment of a Big Brother style world government and the systematic eradication of at least 90% of humanity all for the good of the environment. Unfortunately, this is not a joke and it is not an exaggeration. As you will see below, these people are very, very serious. To these eco-fascists, climate change is the number one threat to the earth, and in order to eliminate that threat “democracy must be put on hold”, an authoritarian world government must be established and we need to start getting rid of as many humans as possible.
Posted below is a new video about the importance of fighting “climate change” that was recently released by a prominent global warming activist organization known as 10:10 Global.
This short video depicts children and adults being savagely blown to pieces for not reducing their carbon footprints. The organization has since pulled the video and has issued an apology, but the fact that anyone would actually put out such a video is absolutely chilling. In fact, there are many advocates of the green agenda who wish that they could actually press a button and do this kind of thing to “climate change deniers”
….Unfortunately, this type of thinking is not confined to just a few environmental nutcases. For example, Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates is absolutely obsessed with global warming and with population control.The video posted next contains excerpts from a speech that Gates gave at a recent TED conference.
As you watch this, keep in mind that Gates has personally donated hundreds of millions of dollars towards the development of new vaccines and towards “reproductive health” initiatives around the globe.
