A former FBI counterterrorism agent has hinted at a vast and intrusive surveillance network used by the U.S. government to monitor its own citizens.
Tim Clemente admitted as much when he appeared on CNN Wednesday night.
Discussing the Boston Marathon attack and past telephone conversations of Katherine Russell and her now deceased husband, suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, Clemente said that those conversations would be available to investigators.

First came the fire, then the blast. Assuming the EMS reports are correct, a terror attack on U.S. soil is responsible for only the second-largest mass-casualty event this week. Dwell on that.
Unbelievable:West EMS Director Dr. George Smith says as many as 60 or 70 people died and hundreds were injured Wednesday night in a fertilizer plant explosion in West.A rescuer earlier said he knew of five deaths.Meanwhile, emergency crews were pulling back late Wednesday night because of concerns about the possibility of a second explosion…

(CNN) — On the evening of March 19, Tom Clements, the director of Colorado’s prison system, was shot and killed when he answered the door of his home near Colorado Springs.
The slaying sparked a police chase that ended a few days later in Texas, with authorities finally killing the suspect, 28-year-old Evan Ebel, in a shootout. It was soon discovered that Ebel had been part of a violent white supremacist gang during the eight years he spent in Colorado prisons.

Did Police Order Media Blackout to Cover Up Plan to Kill Dorner? :
Authorities demanded Twitter, online scanner censorship before setting fire to cabin
By Paul Joseph Watson

February 13, 2013
Audio which indicates police involved in the siege against Christopher Dorner deliberately planned to set fire to the fugitive’s cabin was preceded by an attempt by authorities to impose a media blackout in an apparent effort to cover up the chain of events that led to Dorner’s death.
As the standoff reached its height, Big Bear-area police scanners were disabled online in order to “ensure officer safety.”
Singer Tony Bennett Equates Isolated Gun Violence to Nazi Germany, Fears Foreign Invasion
Tony Bennett is one of America‘s most popular singers but he has proven once again that talent in the arts is no predictor of intelligence.
At a Wednesday press conference, the outspoken pacifist and ardent Democrat Bennett compared isolated gun deaths in the U.S. to Nazi concentration camps and said that if America did not do something to curtail violence in this country, the other countries would “take care of us in a really bad way,” just like they did in World War II to the Germans. Bizarre video and story below.
In a subsequent interview with CNN, Bennett declined to defend his comments but he did not distance himself from them either. Here’s what he said in full at the conference:
What’s an Assault Weapon?
Last week, Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced a new, supposedly improved version of the federal “assault weapon” ban that expired in 2004. But like that earlier law, which the California Democrat also sponsored, Feinstein’s bill prohibits the manufacture and sale of guns based on characteristics that have little or nothing to do with the danger they pose.
Although arbitrary distinctions are a defining characteristic of “assault weapon” bans, recent polls indicate that most Americans support them. New survey data suggest one possible explanation: Most Americans don’t know what “assault weapons” are.
Prominent rifle manufacturer killed in mysterious car crash days after posting psych drug link to school shooters
(NaturalNews) What you are about to read is astonishing. I’m not even sure what’s the right conclusion to draw from it. But here’s what we know so far:
John Noveske is one of the most celebrated battle rifle manufacturers in America. His rifles, found at http://www.NoveskeRifleworks.com are widely recognized as some of the finest pieces of American-made hardware ever created. (I own one of his rifles, and it’s a masterpiece of a machine that just keeps on running.) Sadly, John Noveske was killed in a mysterious car crash just a few days ago, on January 4, 2013. Read more…
Prison Planet.com » DHS Source Confirms Alex Was Being Stalked… (““Bumper lock him. Make it obvious. Do whatever you can, just make sure he knows. Handle him as a hostile.” Those were the instructions reportedly given to federal agents …”)
Both before and after the appearance on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight Monday, Alex and Infowars video producer Rob Dew knew they were being followed and that people seemed to be casing them around New York City.
In addition to being intimidated in New York, Alex was also the target of thinly-veiled death threats on the Piers Morgan program the night following his appearance.
In a segment on the show, sports columnist for the Daily Beast, Buzz Bissinger, shockingly stated:
“I don’t care what the justification is that you’re allowed in this country to own a semi-automatic weapon – much less a handgun. But what do you need a semi-automatic weapon for? The only reason I think you’d need it is, Piers, challenge Alex Jones to a boxing match, show up with a semi-automatic that you got legally and pop him.”
Morgan’s guests laughed at the thought of Jones’ murder. Guest Abby Huntsman, a host and producer at HuffPost Live, said, “I’d love to see that…in uniform,” to which Morgan said, “I’ll borrow my brother’s uniform.”
After Doug Hagmann, of the Northeast Intelligence Network, learned that Jones was appearing on the CNN program, he contacted his DHS insider source who told him that federal agents were indeed “assigned to follow Alex Jones during his visit to New York.”
PIERS MORGAN:BOTH THE BIBLE AND U.S.CONSTITUTION ARE ‘INHERENTLY FLAWED’AND NEED TO BE AMENDED
While CNN’s Piers Morgan is a well known critic of America’s Second Amendment, he has now ventured into a new campaign to reform another document critical in the development of western civilization; the Bible.
During a discussion on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” on Monday — Christmas Eve — with Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren, Morgan argued that there needs to be an “amendment to the Bible” for same-sex marriage, because like the Constitution, the Bible is “inherently flawed.”
“Both the Bible and the Constitution were well intentioned but they are basically, inherently flawed. Hence, the need to amend it,” Morgan told Warren during a conversation where Morgan emphasized the need for America to separate Church and State.
(GyG: First They came For The…..) ~ CNN’s Don Lemon On Gun Control: Should We Start Profiling White Men?

Jimmy Hoffa, on Michigan: “We’re Going to Have a Civil War”
Yes, this is the same elegant creature who screeched about “taking out” Tea Party “son-of-a-bitches” [sic] at a presidential event last year. In case you’d forgotten, both the White House and the DNC conspicuously declined to repudiate his vituperation at the time. Now Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. has taken his anger mismanagement show to CNN, seething about an incipient “civil war” in Michigan:
Jimmy Hoffa, president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, said Tuesday he expects Michigan unions and lawmakers to break out into “civil war” after the state legislature passed right-to-work bills that would weaken unions’ power. “This is just the first round of a battle that’s going to divide this state. We’re going to have a civil war,” Hoffa said on CNN’s Newsroom.
“What they’re doing is basically betraying democracy,” he told CNN’s Brooke Baldwin. “If there’s any question here, let’s put it on the ballot and let the people of Michigan decide what’s good for Michigan.” Proponents of the legislation say it gives workers more freedom, while opponents say a less robust union presence will negatively affect workers’ rights. Hoffa also argued that those who don’t pay union dues will be considered “free riders,” as they’re getting the same benefits from union representation without the cost.
DeMint takes parting shot at Boehner… ““I’m not with Boehner,” DeMint said on CNN’s “The Situation Room… (“This government doesn’t need any more money, this country needs less government.”)
Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), who shocked Washington on Thursday with the announcement that he would resign his Senate seat in January to become president of the the Heritage Foundation, sent a parting shot at Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) over the “fiscal cliff” negotiations.

What happens when Zimmerman’s acquitted?
Exclusive: Jack Cashill stresses significance of attacked Floridian’s bloodied-nose photo
“That man [George Zimmerman] carried a 9-millimeter handgun,” wrote the New York Times’ Charles Blow last April in a typically reckless bit of media disinformation. “That boy [Trayvon Martin] carried a bag of candy.”
That boy also carried a hell of a punch, and now the evidence has emerged that proves it – a front-on, high resolution, color photo of Zimmerman, sitting in a police car, blood dripping from his swollen, disfigured nose
Kyl (& Sen. Hutchison) Suggest Benghazi ‘Cover-Up’
Kyl suggests Benghazi ‘cover-up’
Sen. Jon Kyl, (R-Ariz.) suggests the Obama administration orchestrated a “cover-up” of the events that led to the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi that left U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans dead.
“There are three questions that have to be answered,” Kyl said in an interview aired Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” appearing on a panel with three other retiring senators. “Why weren’t the warnings about the need for security heeded? Why weren’t the requests for help during the ted attack answered and why did the administration think it had to cover up all the things that occurred before by putting out to the American people a narrative that I think will turn out to be absolutely false?”
Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison(R-Texas), agreed, saying that more than 10 days after the deadly attack, “top level people” were disseminating incorrect information.
