A program in Palm Beach County intended to encourage residents to report suspicious behavior is attracting resistance from around the state.Under the proposed “Violence Prevention Program,” anyone who sees a potentially dangerous situation — a schizophrenic person with weapons, a war veteran making threats to passersby — could call a 24-hour hotline.

If you have never seen the blue-state-red-state map broken down to blue-counties and red-counties, you should take a long, hard look at it. It is a striking divide. If you mapped the nation according to gun crimes, gun control, welfare, and approval ratings for same-sex marriage, you’d find that it superimposes nicely on the blue-red breakdown by county. We have a deepening divide between conservative, God-loving, hard-working, gun-toting, sodomy-disapproving country folks, and liberal, Obama-supporting, humanistic, gun-despising, welfare-expanding, sodomy-approving city folks.
The left, who are largely at the helm of the media, Hollywood, partisan political machines, and colleges and universities, have a vision for the nation that takes us to what Karl Marx envisioned – a socialist, Communist utopia, where personal civil rights dissolve into what’s best for the nation, and all is supervised and infractions sanctioned by an all-powerful, loving state. The left have been steering the helm of the culture this direction for decades, but the turns have been slow, lest they awaken the sleeping passengers and provoke revolt. If the left isn’t careful, they may cut too deeply and too quickly, provoking a backlash that may push the nation in a direction they don’t intend for us to go – back to God and righteousness, back to freedom and justice.

Commentators are always quick to link guns and emergency stores to dangerous and paranoid actions that they consider to be tell tale signs someone is going to commit a crime. They always focus on these areas because it is a trait mostly seen in conservatives that know enough to question the governments’ ability to take care of every problem that emerges.
In short, if you are not a Liberal that needs the government to make all of your decisions for you and care for you on a daily basis then there must be something wrong with you.Any deviation from the norm of unpreparedness is a danger sign to these people that you are out of control and need to be stopped, detained and heavily medicated to assure compliance.

Schlockumentary filmmaker Michael Moore isn’t pleased with the level of outrage or support for stronger gun control following December’s massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
To gin this up further, he wants someone to release the pictures of the slaughtered children:
I believe someone in Newtown, Connecticut – a grieving parent, an upset law enforcement officer, a citizen who has seen enough of this carnage in our country – somebody, someday soon, is going to leak the crime scene photos of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. And when the American people see what bullets from an assault rifle fired at close range do to a little child’s body, that’s the day the jig will be up for the NRA. It will be the day the debate on gun control will come to an end.

Former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is urging key senators to support expanded background checks for gun purchases in new television ads airing in Iowa and her home state of Arizona.
The ads specifically target Senators Charles Grassley (R-IA) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ), two lawmakers who have made statements supporting background checks in the past. The ads include black and white images after high-profile mass shootings at a Colorado movie theater and a Connecticut elementary school.

QUESTION: Book Mentioned on David Barton’s Heritage Series (GyG: Re Barton & Beck Bash The South…)
I’m trying to find a school textbook about government mentioned on the American History Series show Jan 27, 2013 by Davide Barton.
I believe he said it was the first textbook published for the State of Connecticut around the 1850s.
He also said all of the thirteen states used it, and many states used it up until around the 1960s.

I can’t remember the title, but it was a tiny book with just four items:
1. The Declaration of Independence
2. The Constitution of the United States
3. George Washington’s Farewell Address
4. [I can't remember]
It ended with an elementary test covering all these subjects and David Barton said these items today are only covered to that detail in a college course for Law School.

When a person experiences the tragic and untimely loss of a loved one, particularly in unusual or apparently inexplicable circumstances, the initial intense feelings of grief usually give way to a desire to understand HOW and WHY the tragedy occurred, in an effort to make sense of it and achieve some kind of ‘closure’.

SEMINOLE, Fla. – As a pawn shop owner, Frank James was always a big believer in gun rights and the second amendment. After all, it was his bread and butter business. But after what he saw in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday, he’s had a change of heart. “I basically broke into tears and looked up on the wall, seeing the types of firearms I am selling,” James said.
At the Loan Star Pawn store in Seminole, a glass display case that once housed several Bushmaster AR-15 assault rifles is now empty. The glass counters normally filled with handguns has been completely cleared.
“I’m not going to be part of it anymore,” James said. He has several copies of the exact rifle suspected in the massacre.
“The model, the brand, everything,” he said.
The father of four said he was especially touched knowing that his youngest child, a six-year old daughter, was the same age as many of those children who were shot to death.
“I dropped my daughter off at school this morning. That was enough for me,” James said. “Conscience wins over making money.”
The store manager came into the pawn shop Monday and saw James taking down signs advertising guns, and asked him what was going on.
“He said don’t take the guns out of the safe. We’re no longer selling them,” said Leia Thomas. “I was shocked.”

Spengler killed two firefighters and wounded two others before fatally shooting himself.”

Gun owners have been threatened with fines and imprisonment for wishing to defend family and property. In Connecticut, law abiding Americans were rendered defenseless by state statute, their slaughter knowingly and deliberately facilitated by politicians interested only in the implementation of an anti-gun agenda.

Perhaps most astonishingly, this suspect arrested in the woods was named in an Associated Press report as 24-year-old Ryan Lanza. The original report has long since vanished of course, but you can see it referenced here. This was despite the fact that Ryan had already been named as the deceased suspect inside the school, lying next to two handguns.
Ryan Lanza was actually at work in Hoboken, New Jersey, that morning when his name and photo began circulating in the media. And so, for most of Friday, the ‘lone shooter’ was erroneously reported as “Ryan Lanza, confirmed dead.”

I have lived all but four of my thirty two years in Connecticut. In that time I have heard about the haunted cemeteries, Revolutionary War ghosts and hidden psionic labs (more on all these in future issues).

Satanism in Connecticut, specifically Newtown, has been one I’ve often heard. It was only a few months ago when a friend came to me with tales of further satanic atrocities perpetrated in Newtown as told to her by a local nun. Once again the shadow of Lucifer‘s wing had apparently darkened the skies over this innocent hamlet. This was a respected nun at a well known school. If she too could fall under the sway of these rumors, then indeed they could not be ignored. Understanding the obvious connection between a woman of the cloth and satanic sensitivity, this was still a person of irreproachable reputation. And she was not alone.

Last week 27 Americans were murdered in a shooting spree, 20 of those killed were children.
An enormous amount of attention is being focused on this event, even to the point of having the president make emotional speeches about it and visiting the families, and the story has been the top story on the news not just in the United States, but all over the world.

Obviously this is an enormous tragedy for the families involved, however there is something very important that’s not being said here.
The obvious attack on the 2nd amendment may be the main topic on your mind, but the problem goes much deeper than gun control or any of these other surface issues.

Today, President Obama took to the podium to declare his unsurprising support for new, poorly-calibrated gun laws. His logic was simple: a horrific massacre occurred in Newtown, Connecticut at Sandy Hook Elementary, and we must try something. Anything. Well, not anything — the same tried-and-true liberal gun control measures that have failed time and again.

Determined not to let the senseless murder of at least 20 young schoolchildren and six adults by a madman last Friday in Connecticut go to waste, the nation’s Demagogue-in-Chief is taking aim at the Second Amendment by urging a reinstatement of the useless federal Assault Weapons Ban.
The Assault Weapons Ban, enacted during the Clinton era, prohibited civilian use of specific semi-automatic firearms that politicians arbitrarily deemed “assault weapons” for superficial reasons largely unrelated to how they operate. As Daniel Greenfield wisely put it, an assault rifle “is some sort of mysterious weapon forged in the fires of hell solely for the purpose of murdering people.” The ban, which had no measurable impact on crime, expired in 2004 and attempts to revive the nebulous law have failed so far.

Calls for increased gun control are being renewed in the wake of the Newtown, Conn. school shooting last Friday, and President Barack Obama indicated he would pursue measures to stop such events from happening in the future. Obama said at a memorial service Sunday that he would “use whatever power this office holds” to prevent such massacres.

In yet another high-profile public shooting, 20 children and six adults were killed in Sandy Hook Elementary School when a gunman forced his way in and began firing. Obama spoke strongly about the failure of the country to protect its children, and suggested his administration would explore new efforts to better regulate guns.

Now I’ve been watching this news for most of the day. Remarkably, it seems to change every few minutes.
First, we had the name change. Who exactly did the shooting? Ryan? Adam? Someone else?
Then, we hear that someone in camo garb or something was apprehended in the woods. When I first heard this, I assumed it was the brother and that was why there was confusion about the name.

But turns out that the brother was actually at work – and was not in the woods. So who was in the woods?

But by limiting their discussion only to shootings, they ignore the worst school massacre in U.S. history which wasn’t a shooting at all.

The idea of some is that such crazies should be stopped via gun control. If they cannot get guns they cannot hurt people with them.

Of course, in Britain where guns are virtually banned there has been a subsequent increase in knife crime and battery. And in China there have been reports of numerous horrifying knife attacks on children in schools. People will hurt each other if they are motivated to do so.
But these massacres are something else. Who picks up a rifle and shoots little children? And why?
And why are there always questions lingering after “official” investigations?

The most conscientious law abiding citizens might turn them in, but the bad guys won’t. So that means bad guys will have even more of an edge. If they want to rob, they are going to know their upstanding citizen/prospective-victim walking down the street is most likely unarmed.

The mother of Newtown school massacre gunman Adam Lanza was a survivalist who was stockpiling food because she thought the world economy was on the verge of collapse.
Nancy Lanza began hoarding such items because she feared that the financial crisis was going to bring about the end of civilized society.

She reportedly became ‘obsessed’ with guns and taught Adam how to shoot, but on Friday he turned on her and blasted the woman to death while she laid in her own bed.
Law enforcement sources told the Hartford Courant that she had not gotten up – and could have even been asleep – when her son killed her.

The clamor that is about to dominate the next several news cycles will be the usual stable of pundits engaging in obligatory verbal hand-wringing over the unthinkable death of innocents in a small Connecticut town. Newtown was once a town where life was the imitation of a Norman Rockwell painting, and where any of those young children whose lives were shortened by unimaginable madness could have been the very faces depicted in the paintings by Rockwell himself.

Individually and collectively, we weep for our needless loss. The salty bitterness we taste from the tears that stream down our faces must serve to remind us that our tears originate from a much greater loss and a much deeper trouble that anyone before the camera or in front of a keyboard has the willingness to confront. No one, I suspect, will have the moral courage to address the real problem, or the intellectual honesty needed to rebuke the fallacious arguments that are about to occur between pundits who are, it appears, just made-over and better dressed carnival barkers for their own agendas.
