IMO, the coup d’tat that occurred at the “secret” 1787 ConCon in Philadephia was the begiining of our problems (mainly by Madison and Hamilton) with the overthrow of our then constitution (AOC) and the adoption of what is now our “flawed” constitution.

Once adopted, the Bill of Rights, etc. was chipped away at for years, but it was not until lincoln that the overwhelming damage was done. Still later, a series of socialists in power continued the retrograde of America, until today the “closer” is now ready to finish us off.

Although not overtly violent at this point, this seizure has been illegal from top to bottom. Since the likely ineligible candidate Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) was installed in our presidency back in January 2009, this takeover has rapidly infected every area of our government and military. It is being run by a Communist-Islamist axis of like-minded, anti-American subversives.

Refutation of the Charge That The Framers Perpetrated a Coup d’etat
For a multitude of reasons, political and otherwise, partly inspired by deep-seated fear of any central government with real powers, however limited on parchment–in a written Constitution–the framing of the Constitution was harshly criticized by a number of people throughout the period of the ratification debates.
One of the principal arguments was that the Framing Convention acted beyond the scope of its authority, because it did not limit itself to proposing amendments to the Articles of Confederation, in keeping with the original “call” for the Convention. (Instead it proposed, in draft form, an entirely new instrument for submission to the people for consideration through their specially chosen Ratifying Convention in each State.)
Madison devoted the entire essay number 40 of The Federalist to refutation of this argument. Among the numerous and convincing reasons which he presented in support of the soundness of the Convention’s course, a main one was “the crisis” then confronting the country but only incidentally, in passing, in the process of his analysis. Yet the crisis, caused by the complete breakdown of all pretense of effective government by the Confederation, was alone sufficient to justify the Convention’s new approach to the problem.
The record shows overwhelming evidence of the completeness of this breakdown and of the impossibility of amending the Articles of Confederation so as to produce any effective remedy within its framework. Besides, earlier attempts to amend the Articles had failed. Lacking a real central government, there was for example no possibility of national security through sound national defense, or sound interstate relations economically, financially or politically, much less sound relations with foreign governments. (The previous comments about the Confederation, at pages 120 and 167, are pertinent here.)

The term “Perfumed Prince” caught my eye on the Net in relation to to David Petreaus the present CIA Director.
Previously, I had only seen “Perfumed Princes” used by the late retired Col David Hackworth, USA, a decorated hero of several wars, and a prolific writer.
In fact,over the years, I have posted several or more of Col Hack’s writings to my own GunnyG’s sites, forums, and blogs.
I will attempt to find some of his old articles, and others, for posting here.

Recently, in a ruling by Army JAG Judge Denise Lind, our worst fears that a military coup has taken place have been confirmed. In a courts-martial pre-hearing concerning the demands of LTC Terry Lakin that the putative Commander- in-Chief must prove that he is a Constitutionally lawful CINC before anyone obeys any military orders, lest they themselves be charged with obeying an unlawful order, Judge Lind stated that any and all orders now originate with the Pentagon and no longer with the Office of the civilian President and Commander-in-Chief.
This issue is now much greater than just LTC Lakin and his refusal to obey an unlawful order; it is a case of the Military Command saying that the Military (the Pentagon) has taken over the government and that orders no longer come from the putative Commander-in-Chief. It is a ruling that says there has been a Military Coup, and we are now ruled by a Military Junta. (NOTE: This is not the same as that which recently occurred in Honduras – a lawful act to uphold their Constitution, until a legitimate President and CINC can be duly selected or elected – this is a secret and treasonous takeover of our Constitutional form of government, with a person of unknown origins and allegiances as the de facto pResident in charge).
