Ron Paul has been retired from Congress for only a few months, but he’s certainly not shying away from politics. The former US representative has already announced his new project: the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity.
In a press release sent to the media Friday afternoon, the Ron Paul camp confirms that the long-time Texas representative will launch a think-tank of sorts in order to carry on his ideologies after his time in office has ended.
“After decades in and out of the US House of Representatives leading the call for a non-interventionist foreign policy and the protection of civil liberties, Dr. Paul is launching a revolutionary new vehicle to expand his efforts. The Institute will serve as the focal point of a new coalition that crosses political, ideological and party lines,” the statement begins.
It’s not a question yet being asked or debated in the Big Media. But it is a question being addressed by some members of Congress, by an increasing number of pundits by activists on the left and the right – and for more than one or two alleged constitutional offenses.
Dennis Kucinich “This War Is A Threat To Our National Security! There are no real plans to end the wars for America. The opposite is true. More wars will be engineered and more money will be allocated for wars. Has the defence budget been reduced despite the economic recession?
They want the MIC to be engaged in continuous wars not just for profit but also to practice war making and also invent new weapons for wars.
Wars will never end for America until America is totally sucked dry of resources………

The things you discover only after Obama is re-elected… (“…Robert Greenwald discovers that Obama has been killing children with drones”)
During my recent trip to Pakistan as part of our upcoming documentary film, Drones Exposed, I was struck most by the stories told to me by children who had experienced a U.S. drone strike firsthand. The impact of America’s drone war in the likes of Pakistan and Yemen will linger on, especially for the loved ones of the 178 children killed in those countries by U.S. drone strikes.
War Costs’ latest video (with accompanying report) brings attention to the children who have died as a result of drone strikes. The video names some of the children who perished in these strikes, and points out the obfuscation tactics of American officials who will not own up to the significant amount of civilian casualties that have occurred due to this legally- and morally-dubious policy.
Ron Paul Won’t Endorse Romney, Sees “Essentially No Difference” ~ (“There are other people who are technically capable of winning because they’re on a lot of ballots,” Paul said about alternatives to Romney or Obama. “Like Gary Johnson, for example,” the interviewer suggested. “Yeah,” Paul replied…..)
…..”I don’t know how anybody could be against transparency,” Paul said during debate on the bill, arguing that the American people have a right to know the details of the Fed’s rescue deals and its support of foreign central banks.
“It’s time that we stood up to the Federal Reserve that right now acts like some kind of high, exalted priesthood, unaccountable to democracy,” Rep. Dennis Kucinich, (D-Ohio) charged during the House debate.
A companion bill in the Senate has been introduced by Paul’s son Rand, a Kentucky Republican, though there is little chance of it passing this year.
It cleared a suspension of House ruled requiring a two-thirds vote. The final vote was 327 to 98 and all but one Republican and 89 Democrats voted yes. The bill had more than 274 cosponsors and faced strong opposition by Democrats and the Federal Reserve.
Will Paul’s bill to audit “high exalted priesthood” Federal Reserve pass today?
Ron Pauls Political Legacy Will Be Decided TODAY auditthefed1Wednesday the 25th of July is the day that libertarian Congressman Ron Paul’s political legacy will be written, as the House votes on his bill to audit the Federal Reserve.
In order to pass, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, H.R. 459, needs two-thirds of the House to vote in favor. That equates to around 292 votes.
Last month, a bipartisan vote in the House Oversight Committee was almost completely unanimous in approving the bill, advancing it to the House floor.
WASHINGTON: Twenty-six US Congressmen have sent a letter to President Barack Obama “demanding a legal justification from the White House for signature drone strikes.”

In response to the question in the title I can report that most of my readers are. Almost everyone got the point of the last column. They see the absurdity of the government’s claim that the identity of the tough, macho Navy Seals, who allegedly murdered Osama bin Laden, has to be kept secret in order to protect our fierce warriors from reprisals from Muslim terrorists, while those government officials responsible for the torture and deaths of large numbers of Muslims can walk around, identity known, unprotected and safe.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), a longtime advocate for reform of the Federal Reserve, is sharply criticizing the Federal Reserve today after Bloomberg news reported that the Federal Reserve secretly committed nearly $8 trillion in support to American and international financial institutions during the 2008 bailout. Kucinich recorded a video for his website before going to the floor of the House of Representatives to call upon Congress to reclaim its Constitution primacy over monetary policy.
After all, until recently, Obama insisted that blabbing with our enemies, AKA, diplomacy, would eliminate the need for dumb wars and violent killings.
Yet in the most dramatic transformation of his persona to date, The One seems to have gone from Talker-in-Chief to Terminator of Bad Eggs While Leading from Behind.
Which proves just how devastating approval ratings in the 30s can be to a fallen messiah figure facing reelection!
The president’s new image started with the messy removal of Osama bin Laden back on May 1 when Navy Seals invaded bin Laden’s ‘luxury’ digs in Pakistan and proceeded to teach the 9/11 freak a vital lesson about Jihad, American style.
The president’s newly minted, “Don’t Mess With Obama!” toughness continued when the Terminator ordered what was left of UBL to be dumped into the sea, without last rites or a proper Christian burial.
Even more shockingly, Obama apparently ordered Navy Seals to send bin Laden to the tender-loving-care of 72 virgins without first reading the brutal killer his Miranda Rights, a real no-no to people like Eric Holder, Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich.

The “October 2011” movement organizer Dennis Trainor tells me that he believes capitalism is “homicidal” and that the U.S. needs a revolution. “This is not a reform movement,” he said. He is part of the illegal occupation of Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. The “October 2011” movement is not part of, but endorses the “Occupy Wall Street” movement that began several weeks ago.
Although he describes himself as new to professional agitation, Trainor runs the “No Cure For That” website and served as a writer/media consultant for Dennis Kucinich’s 2008 presidential campaign. Kucinich is the Cleveland Democrat perhaps best known for proposing a “Department of Peace” for the U.S. Government…..
Republicans who mostly goose-stepped behind Bush’s illegal invasion of Iraq are now up in arms against Obama‘s illegal adventure, while Democrats who opposed Bush’s muscular foreign policy are now mostly in lockstep behind their man — a pathetically political Jekyll-and-Hyde dance.
There are, however, a few pols with principles beyond knee-jerk party loyalty: Reps. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and Walter Jones (R-NC, who opposed Bush’s foreign policy) have filed a joint complaint in the U.S. District Court of Columbia challenging the legality of Obama’s Libyan intervention.

“Listen to Ron Paul.
Last week, more than 70 days after President Obama sent our military to attack Libya without a congressional declaration of war, the House of Representatives finally voted on two resolutions attempting to rein in the president.
This debate was long overdue, as polls show Americans increasingly are frustrated by congressional inaction. According to a CNN poll last week, 55 percent of the American people believe that Congress, not the president, should have the final authority to decide whether the U.S. should continue its military mission in Libya. Yet for more than 70 days Congress has ignored its constitutional obligations and allowed the president to usurp its authority.
Finally, Congressman Dennis Kucinich was able to bring to the floor a resolution asserting that

Dennis Kucinich Running for Reelection In …. Washington State?

The Seattle Times checked in with the congressman’s office after he was observed spending an inordinate amount of time in Washington State — where Kucinich once communed with an apparent alien at Shirley MacLaine‘s house, according to her memoir — to find out whether he was scoping out a potential backup district.
Kucinich’s response certainly seemed to encourage the idea.

The time has come for those who claim high regard for the U.S. Constitution to show that they mean what they say. The time has come to begin impeachment proceedings against President Barack H. Obama for high crimes and misdemeanors.
The United States has initiated a war against Libya, as Secretary of Defense Robert Gates has conceded. When one country bombs another, which has not attacked it nor posed any immediate threat to it, that is an act of war. No “humanitarian” rationale justifies such an act. Only an act of Congress suffices according to the United States Constitution. Barack Obama has violated that provision of the United States Constitution, which he swore, falsely it is now apparent, to defend and protect. Barack Obama has committed this greatest of impeachable offenses. Other offenses related to torture and violation of the civil liberties of U. S. citizens may emerge as articles of impeachment are drawn up.
Many Tea Party candidates and paleo-conservative and libertarian Republicans, such as Rep. Ron Paul, won office by declaring their high regard for the Constitution. Rep. Paul stated in advance of the attack on Libya that a Congressional declaration of war was necessary according to the provisions of the Constitution before an assault could proceed. If these Republicans do not act now to begin impeachment following the lead of the very principled Dr. Paul, their words meant nothing, and they should be turned out of office.
Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich didn’t stop at blasting President Obama on his Libya war policy recently in a meeting of ultra-liberal Congressional Democrats. He practically invited Congress to consider an impeachment discussion of Obama.
Kucinich didn’t even stop there. He rammed the impeachment point home further in a follow-up interview in which he flatly said that the president went squarely against the Constitution in approving the Libya military action. So far, no other Democrat went quite that far. But several key Congressional Democrats including Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), John Conyers (D-Mich.), and Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.), did openly grouse that Obama went too far in not getting approval of Congress for his action.
There is no dispute that presidents have a legal, constitutional and political responsibility to get approval from Congress when the issue is waging war. This obligation is clearly spelled out in the War Powers Act. And those who made that point were right to make it. But Kucinich and the handful of Democrats who ripped Obama about Libya certainly know that there is virtually no possibility that Obama will blatantly abuse that power as Bush did in Iraq and Afghanistan and commit American ground troops to combat in Libya. This would be a gross violation of the provisions of the Act.
Obama backed the Libyan no-fly zone because the United Nations Security Council by unanimous vote backed it. The House Foreign Affairs and Intelligence committees backed the action. More importantly, the Arab League requested that the United Nations impose a no-fly zone over Libya. And nearly every humanitarian group around has backed it.
But, most important he backed it because it’s the politically and morally right thing to do. Kucinich and others would have screamed the loudest if Obama had done nothing and Gaddafi slaughtered thousands in a blood-lust rampage against the rebel groups. In his case, and that of every other dictator that’s ever been under siege from their own people, it always leads to the slaughter of innocent women, children and elderly, under the guise of restoring order. If Obama hadn’t acted, he would have been even more loudly condemned as being weak, indecisive and a chronic ditherer when it comes to making tough decisions on foreign policy issues.
Kucinich suggested during a Saturday conference call with anti-war Democrats that he thought impeachment could also be considered for Obama’s “unconstitutional” actions in Libya.
Paul’s spokeswoman Rachel Mills confirmed to The Daily Caller via email that Paul shares Kucinich’s point of view on the severity of the constitutional breach. “Yes, he thinks it is an impeachable offense,” Mills wrote.
“The President committed the U.S. to military invention without consulting Congress, in clear subversion of Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, which gives only Congress the power to declare war,” Kucinich wrote in a Tuesday letter to colleagues.
Paul released a video last week decrying the intervention in Libya as unconstitutional and saying that “the American people should be yelling and screaming about what the president is doing.”
Once again, the professional war-makers are taking you to the cleaners. So far, according to Fox News, Obama’s little excursion into Libya has cost you millions. Fox cites a Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments analysis estimating that the Libyan no-fly zone may cost $100 million to $300 million per week.
Clinton’s State Department refuses to provide a figure on how much this unconstitutional boondoggle to oust Gaddafi and secure Libyan oil for transnational globalist corporations will cost.
The Pentagon wants $553 billion for the fiscal year beginning October 1. In addition, it wants $118 billion in war costs for the endless occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.
The violation of Libyan national sovereignty and calculated murder of its citizens is a “national security” issue and beyond the pale of budget cutters, according to Rep. Howard Berman of California, top dog Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
“Do we sit out the whole transition in Egypt or are there roles we can play?” Berman asked in rhetorical fashion. “Even the most rabid budget-cutters have as a general proposition accepted the notion that national security matters are treated differently than other matters.”

VIDEO- BIDEN FLASHBACK: Launching an Attack Without Congressional Approval is an Impeachable Offense
The reason, I don’t say those things lightly, Chris, you’ve known me for a long time. I was chairman of the Judiciary committee for 17 years or its ranking member. I teach separation of powers and constitutional law. This is something I know. So I got together and brought a group of Constitutional scholars together and write a piece I’m going to deliver to the whole United States Senate in pointing out the president has no Constitutional authority to take this nation to war against a country of 70 million people unless we’re attacked, or unless there is proof that we are about to be attacked.
If he does, I would move to impeach him.
House obviously has to do that– but I would lead an effort to impeach him. The reason for my doing that-

Amid the ongoing coalitional bombardment of Libya it turns out President Obama may have had no constitutional authority for ordering US military involvement. US Rep. from Ohio Dennis Kucinixh says the use of US armed forces is unconstitutional, explaining Obama had no authority to commit US resources without congressional approval.
The US now finds itself involved into another war in addition to Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan. ‘Bombing villages in order to save villages’ — that didn’t work in Vietnam, Kucinich explained. In fact, he argued this time around the Libyan intervention could end up strengthening US enemies.
A number of Democratic and Republican lawmakers are concerned about the White House‘s air assault on Libya, but Rep. Dennis Kucinich D-OH raised the rhetoric to 11 on Monday, suggesting President Obama should be impeached.
“President Obama moved forward without Congress approving. He didn’t have Congressional authorization, he has gone against the Constitution, and that’s got to be said,” Kucinich said in an interview with Raw Story.
“It’s not even disputable, this isn’t even a close question. Such an action — that involves putting America‘s service men and women into harm’s way, whether they’re in the Air Force or the Navy — is a grave decision that cannot be made by the president alone.”According to Kucinich, Obama’s decision “would appear on its face to be an impeachable offense,” though he questioned whether Congress would ever move forward with a trial in practice. As reported earlier by Politico, Kucinich raised the specter of impeachment in a conference call with Democratic lawmakers on Saturday.Excerpt Read more at tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com …

Yesterday, US and British forces launched over 100 Tomahawk cruise missiles into Libya in an attempt to knock out its air defenses.A group of left-wing House Democrats are fretting about the constitutionality of this military action military action seems to be about the only time this bunch worries about constitutionality.
Rep. Dennis Kucinich — who recently awarded himself the Purple Molar for injuries he sustained single-handedly attempting to thwart an olive pit attack at the congressional cafeteria — is even talking about impeachment:
A hard-core group of liberal House Democrats is questioning the constitutionality of U.S. missile strikes against Libya, with one lawmaker raising the prospect of impeachment during a Democratic Caucus conference call on Saturday.Reps. Jerrold Nadler N.Y., Donna Edwards Md., Mike Capuano Mass., Dennis Kucinich Ohio, Maxine Waters Calif., Rob Andrews N.J., Sheila Jackson Lee Texas, Barbara Lee Calif. and Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton D.C. “all strongly raised objections to the constitutionality of the president’s actions” during that call, said two Democratic lawmakers who took part.
Kucinich, who wanted to bring impeachment articles against both former President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney over Iraq — only to be blocked by his own leadership — asked why the U.S. missile strikes aren’t impeachable offenses. I love the smell of a potential primary challenge in the morning.Others on the left who helped carry Obama into office on their shoulders are going apoplectic as well.
Michael Moore suggested that Obama return his Nobel Peace Prize and compared him to Bush a charge that will be especially hard for Obama to avoid if he’s going to recycle W’s speeches, but at least that might help keep the greens happy. Louis Farrakhan asked Obama “Who the hell do you think you are?” Obama’s even lost Joan Baez, and you know how the old saying goes: If you’ve lost an aging folk singer from the 60′s, you’ve lost… well, not much actually.

When Will U.S. Leaders Confess To The American People That America Carries Out False-Flag Attacks As Part of Its Foreign Policy?
…According to professor Peter Dale Scott, the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 was part of a long series of “deep events” in America. Scott: However to call 9/11 a coup d’état exaggerates the difference between the current weakened condition of the public state, and the prior state of affairs that has been building for years, indeed for decades, towards just such a dénouement.
For half a century the constitution and laws of the open or public state have been first evaded, then eroded, then increasingly challenged and subverted, by the forces of the deep state.
I wish to suggest that this erosion has been achieved in part through a series of important deep events in post-war American history – events aspects of which it is clear from the outset will be ignored or suppressed in the mainstream media.Recent history has seen a number of such events, such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy, that are so inexplicable by the public notions of American politics that most Americans tend not even to think of them.
Instead most accept the official surface explanations for them, even if they suspect these are not true. Or if others say they believe that “Oswald acted alone,” they may do so in the same comforting but irrational state of mind that believes God will reward the righteous and punish the wicked. The nature of the deep-state is such that not everybody in the government knows what is going on behind the scenes. Military officials and public representatives who are part of the deep-state are unlikely to confess to the press and the public about their involvement and knowledge, as they would be admitting to committing high treason, and great crimes.
In November and December of 2004, U.S. Marines were involved in the heaviest urban combat since the Vietnam War as they went house-to-house rooting out insurgents in the terror stronghold of Fallujah, Iraq. In all, fifty-one brave Americans would be killed and 560 wounded in the battle that would be the bloodiest of the Iraq War but one which would eventually turn the tide toward victory in Iraq and signal a significant defeat for America’s radical Islamic enemies.
Shockingly and tragically, at the same time our servicemen were staring into the eyes of evil, Senator Barbara Boxer and Congressman Henry Waxman were conspiring with radical leftist groups Code Pink and Global Exchange. Groups who were committed to America’s defeat in Iraq and were providing aid and support to our nation’s enemies.
In December 2004, Boxer and Waxman along with fellow congressmen Dennis Kucinich of Ohio and Raul Grijalva of Arizona signed letters of diplomatic courtesy to the U.S. Embassy in Amman, Jordan, facilitating the transfer of more than $600,000 in cash and supplies to the insurgents and their families who were fighting and murdering U.S. servicemen and contractors in Fallujah. Henry Waxman’s letter, dated December 14, 2004, was addressed to American Consul General Daniel Goodspeed and requested assistance on behalf of radical anti-war groups Palisadians for Peace and Global Exchange.
As I detail in my newest book, Conduct Unbecoming: How Barack is Destroying the Military and Endangering Our Security, Global Exchange and its sister group Code Pink are anti-military organizations intent on undermining America in its war against radical Islamic fundamentalism. Code Pink was founded in Santa Monica, CA in November, 2002 by American radicals Jodie Evans, Medea Benjamin, and Diane Wilson. Evans is the leader of Code Pink which is closely aligned with Medea Benjamin’s group Global Exchange.Don’t know Jodie Evans? Barack Obama, Barbara Boxer, and Henry Waxman do… and you need to as well…
