Two billboards in which images of Native Americans are used to make a gun rights argument are causing a stir with some Colorado residents who say the image is offensive and insensitive.
The billboards in this northern Colorado city show three men dressed in traditional Native American attire and the words “Turn in your arms. The government will take care of you.”

DENVER (CBSDC/AP) — Ratcheting up pressure for Congress to limit access to guns, President Barack Obama said Wednesday that recent steps by Colorado to tighten its gun laws show “there doesn’t have to be a conflict” between keeping citizens safe and protecting Second Amendment rights to gun ownership.

I have been on pilgrimage to Rome since last Monday, but am back now, and mightily jetlagged. Obviously I kept it quiet because it isn’t wise to advertise that one’s home will be empty for ten days, even with the security system set on a hair trigger. Also, I was totally prepared to never make it out of Denver in the first place. I figured I had 50-50 odds of being on a no-fly list. But, no worries there. I have never been so happy upon being handed a boarding pass in my life.

This election is shaping up to be a landslide loss for the president, and by the ever-present look of desperation on his face, he knows it. The nation should be preparing for how he might react when it happens — there is nothing more dangerous than a cornered god.
In 2008, Americans wholeheartedly bought the Obama dream. It’s never easy to let go of a dream, but today, people have let go of Obama the dream — and on November 6, they will let go of Obama the man.
The debates served two purposes — namely, showing the world that Mitt Romney was not the evil mastermind Obama and his crew had spent hundreds of millions of dollars portraying him to be while erasing the myth of Obama as invincible and inevitable.
For a man who is supposedly brilliant, it was devastating to see him perform like an uninformed moron in Denver.

There is a lot of anger and frustration out there that has been bottled up for a long time, and this election could end up being a trigger event that releases a lot of it. Both sides are entirely convinced that they can win this tightly contested election, and one side is going to feel bitterly disappointed when it does not happen. Both sides are talking as if it is going to be “the end of America” or “the end of the world” if they lose this election. This is particularly true when it comes to Obama supporters.

A spokesman for the group Americans for Limited Government told The Daily Caller on Wednesday they have contracted with a company to use new truth detecting technology to determine whether either candidate is lying during the debate.“For the first time, within a few hours of a political debate, the American people will know if the candidates are telling the truth, and better be able to judge what promises are real, and which ones are nothing more than political pandering,” Bill Wilson, president of Americans for Limited Government said.The conservative-leaning group says they hope to release the results from Voice Analysis Technology within three hours of the debate.

News broke Saturday night that Aurora police were sent a message electronically threatening more violence if James Holmes wasn’t released from prison. Police found and interviewed him on Saturday, but he hasn’t been charged with anything in connection with the crime.
This Fox Denver affiliate reports police received a message electronically that threatened more violence if Holmes wasn’t released from prison. No one has released his name because he hasn’t been charged with anything. But, according to the person’s Facebook page, he has a master’s in biomedical science, and Anshutz Medical Center confirmed he was in the same program Holmes withdrew from a month ago. ABC News Denver reports authorities traced the message to a router in Aurora, but it’s uncertain whether the message was sent natively or whether someone routed it through there. He was picked up by police and interviewed Saturday afternoon.

It hasn’t.
We continue to have elections, but we no longer have representative government.
In prepared remarks delivered on Feb. 7, 2012 in Denver during the Colorado Caucus, Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, in reference to the 2012 election, stated:
“…this campaign is about more than just replacing a President – it’s about saving the soul of America. We all know in our hearts that soul is corrupted by a Washington culture of reckless spending, voting to raise your own pay, and saying you support term limits but always running for re-election. It’s that Washington that we must change.”
As many before him, as well as his major competitors for the Republican nomination, Romney accurately described the symptoms, but like the others, he offered no genuine and lasting cure beyond a redistribution of power in Washington D.C. between the Democrat and Republican political establishments.
Repeating the same empty promises of the past brings Americans no closer to saving the nation’s soul and restoring a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

American citizens are being trained that their best friend or their closest neighbor could be a terrorist in ‘Community Awareness Program’ classes sponsored by the same DHS-linked non-profit group which was behind the infamous “Recognizing the Eight Signs of Terrorism” video, a PSA that suggested buying gold was a suspicious activity.

“The face of antiterrorism in Colorado includes a former Washington lobbyist, an ex-Marine from Lakewood whose wife gives him the evil eye when he’s sizing up potential threats at Denver International Airport, and a native New Yorker who refuses to ride on the subway and spends as little time as possible in high-rise buildings,” reports the Denver Post.
The story is little more than a promotional vehicle for ‘Community Awareness Program’ courses being run out of Lakewood Police Department in Denver, Colorado.
The classes are taught by Diana Woodson, an administrative assistant in the safety, security and facilities department of the Regional Transportation District. Woodson doesn’t just communicate her paranoia, she lives it, telling her students that although she hails from New York, upon her return she refuses to ride the subway or enter skyscrapers.
The most chilling aspect of the course is the fact that Woodson teaches her students that their best friend or closest neighbor could be a terrorist.

Infowars.com reporter Darrin McBreen reported today outside Denver’s Mile High Stadium that the facility would be used for “processing activities,” according to a handout.
The handout is a news advisory disturbed to press by authorities in Colorado. It states that a “terrorist-driven catastrophic situation” will include the “processing” of students:
Catholic Charities and Sports Authority Field at Mile High will participate in an administrative fashion to test student/teacher processing activities.
“In terms of the drill or even real events, the goal is to get everybody here to reunify with their parents,” Scott Snow, director of the Victims Assistance Unit of the Denver Police, told Infowars.com.
Darrin McBreen talked with a Denver firefighter on a security detail who admitted that she was playing the role of a mother who was at the stadium to pick up fictitious children. She had a print-out of fifth or sixth grade kids, according to McBreen. The woman said she was instructed not to talk with the media and her comments were off the record.
An employee confirmed that the south entrance and tunnel of the stadium would be used to bus children in for processing. Buses were spotted at the location with digital destination banners reading “Special,” according to Aaron Dykes…..

DENVER – A TV bounty hunter and an outspoken Arizona sheriff are headlining a Denver fundraiser for third-party gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo.Duane “Dog” Chapman, star of the A&E Television reality show “Dog The Bounty Hunter,” and Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Ariz., are raising money for Tancredo Sunday at a Western dance hall called The Grizzly Rose.
