One of the most famous sayings of the Bolshevik revolutionary Leon Trotsky was this: “You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.” It’s one of the few correct things that violent Communist ever said.

 

President Obama is clearly not interested in war. And he has stacked his administration with people who are similarly not interested. This is especially true when it comes to Islamist terrorists. They may make war on us, but to Mr. Obama and his minions, these are “man-caused disasters” or, preferably, domestic crimes to be dealt with in the normal course of the administration of justice.

 

Catch them mass-murdering here, then read them their Miranda rights and let them be “lawyered up” with free counsel. Members of what former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy calls “the al-Qaeda bar” can always be found to represent those accused of mass murderers pro bono.

Too many pundits in the national news media glibly stated over and over again that Kentucky Senator Rand Paul stood on the floor of the United States Senate — for nearly thirteen straight hours last Wednesday — to “filibuster” President Obama’s nominee for CIA Director. And sure, while this is technically true, in my view this sort of political analysis completely misses the mark. Writing in the Washington Times on Friday, the senator explained in his own words why he rose to speak that day — namely, to defend the principles enshrined in the United States Constitution:

They…what it is…it’s a whole program to either direct the news coverage, or give media the excuse that they are just reporting on…or reflecting the public opinion. So what we need to do…inaudible…of what I already talked about. We need to get ahead of this new media thing…all of us. Republicans.

 

Conservatives…whatever. Congressman Paul talked about it the other day…he was right about that. 100%. So everyone needs to go out there and post their comments. Make the media know we are more…ummm…we are paying attention now. And so…they need to cover what…the stories that we are commenting on. Use basic economics on them. Just go all out and overwhelm the comments sections of these stories. Share the truth. And demand…demand more of the truth. And demand that they start…they need to ask this White House real questions now.

Can you do that? Can they do that? Petraeus gave us an opportunity – now we need all of your help.UM: I’ll do my best. Just like you – can’t promise anything. But you’re right…people are…after the election they were pissed.

“If Petraeus goes in there and says anything different than what he said on Sept. 13, do you know the world of hurt that he’s in?” Limbaugh said. “What did he say on Sept. 13 — or whenever the testimony was — he said it was the video. He said it was an out-of-control mob, spontaneous-combustion protest, because of the video. OK, now let’s say that he goes into tomorrow and he, if he doesn’t say exactly what he said to Congress back in September, then he’s going to get the question: ‘Were you lying then, or are you lying now?’”

Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer on Tuesday said the White House used David Petraeus’s affair to get the CIA director to give testimony about the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that was in line with the administration’s position on the matter….

KRAUTHAMMER: I think the really shocking news today was that General Petraeus thought and hoped he could keep his job. He thought that it might and it would be kept secret, and that he could stay in his position. I think what that tells us is really important. I have received the letter below a couple times now, and checking with Snoops they can only dispute it to the extent it originated with Nick Palmisciano co-owner and co-founder of Ranger Up and not General David Petraeus. The Army was excited enough about Palmisciano’s work that they published it on their Facebook. I verified the substance of its truthfulness as you can do also by looking at the links I checked.

If he didn’t testify, he said publicly that it was spontaneous combustion that led to what happened in Benghazi. He lent credence to the fact that it was the video, as the CIA director. Then he goes there, and he went to Benghazi, he conducted his own interviews. It’s after that trip to Benghazi that all of this starts hitting the fan.

 

Petraeus probably knows what happened. He knows full well what happened. And he could explain what really happened. But what happens now if he does? And, by the way, how does Hillary Clinton get away with being out of the country, and Panetta?

I recently visited Stone Mountain, Georgia, and I was both surprised and pleased to see them using the old WW II DUKW (DUCKS) there as guided tour buses!

They do both the perimeter of SM, and also go amphib on one of the lakes there, and ashore again.

The park is a great historical site, and seeing the old DUCKS up and running there is a bonus for any old Marine, like me, to behold!

The term “Perfumed Prince” caught my eye on the Net in relation to  to David Petreaus the present CIA Director.

Previously, I had only seen “Perfumed Princes” used by the late retired Col David Hackworth, USA, a decorated hero of several wars, and a prolific writer.

In fact,over the years, I have posted several or more of Col Hack’s writings to my own GunnyG’s sites, forums, and blogs.

I will attempt to find some of his old articles, and others, for posting here.

When NSA or the CIA spy on Americans I always go back to the video/audio clip of a Maryland motorcylist who was pulled over by a nutjob offduty state trooper. He skidded to a stop in front of the motorcyclist and pointed his pistol at the innocent motorist. The off duty cop was in civilian clothes and told the dude to turn the bike off. Later when the cop realized the motorist had a helmet-cam and everything was on tape, the cop charged him with spying without his consent and the motorcylist was threatened with 15 YEARS in jail. But NSA can put spy equipment into our homes to watch us make love to our wife, and sneek a peek at our 12 year old daughter changing clothes, and nothing is done. Its bullshit……
