Other tough questions are being discussed such as, “Will the U.S. government confiscate Gold and Silver in an economic collapse?” and “Will there be a round-up of American Citizens to be put into FEMA Camps?”
Many believe that the United Nations will be given authority to step in to keep the peace in any civil unrest or economic collapse.

The U.S. government is expanding a cybersecurity program that scans Internet traffic headed into and out of defense contractors to include far more of the country’s private, civilian-run infrastructure.

Last month’s presidential order calls for commercial providers of “enhanced cybersecurity services” to extend their offerings to critical infrastructure companies. What constitutes critical infrastructure is still being refined, but it would include utilities, banks and transportation such as trains and highways.
As a result, more private sector employees than ever before, including those at big banks, utilities and key transportation companies, will have their emails and Web surfing scanned as a precaution against cyber attacks.

Opposing Views Broke the story of David Lory VanDerBeek, who is running for Governor in Nevada in 2014. He recently posted a screenshot from the FEMA website of a supposed Zombie UFO Crash Disaster full-scale exercise drill planned for April 27th, 2013, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
According to his website NevadaGovernor2014.com, the exercise was planned in Moscow, Idaho involving 100 participants. However, after VanDerBeek posted his article about the bizarre exercise, he claims that FEMA pulled the page down and replaced it with a statement that the information is now “only available to coalition members.”

It looks as if Representative Alcee Hastings a Democrat from Florida has decided to reintroduce his FEMA Camp bill. A few years ago I was the first person to write an article about this awful piece of legislation. Fortunately, I was successful in exposing it to a much larger group of people via the alternative media and the bill did not move forward in the legislative process.
The latest iteration of this bill has been introduced as House Resolution 390 otherwise known as the National Emergency Centers Establishment Act. This bill would authorize not fewer than 6 military installations as sites for the establishment of national emergency centers to be run by FEMA under the command of the Secretary of Homeland Security.

In my role as a talk show host, I have been approached by individuals who claim to have “insider information” about what is coming, and according to these individuals, what is coming is very bad. Hurricane Sandy hadn’t even touched down when liberals started blowing kisses to FEMA, or Federal Emergency Management Agency, the federal disaster relief agency. A New York Times editorial declared that the impending storm proved that the country needs FEMA-style “Big Government” solutions more than ever. Salon, New Republic and other liberal outfits heartily agreed.
Why do liberals love FEMA so much? Certainly not for its glorious track record. Rather, FEMA has been a great vehicle for expanding the welfare state.
FEMA’s tragic missteps after Katrina earned it well-deserved disgrace. The Times blames those on the Bush administration, whose anti-government philosophy supposedly gutted FEMA. President Obama, the argument goes, straightened things out, and Americans should now “feel lucky” that the agency is there for them. Without it, local and state authorities wouldn’t be able to coordinate where “rescuers should go, where drinking water should be shipped, and how to assist hospitals that have to evacuate.”

During the 1980s Iran Contra hearings, Lt. Col. Oliver North was questioned by Congressman Jack Brooks concerning North’s role in the development of a continuity-of-government plan called “Rex 84” (“Readiness Exercise 1984”), under which the U.S. Constitution would be suspended, and people moved into FEMA camps in the event of a major disaster.
Upon being questioned, the look of absolute fury on North’s face was telling, as if some great secret had just been revealed. Immediately thereafter, the questioning of Congressman Brooks was shut down by the committee chair on the grounds that the subject touched upon a “highly sensitive and classified area.” The short exchange is documented in a video here.

No doubt FEMA is all geared up for the damage Hurricane Sandy will do throughout the Northeast and wide swatches to the West. And no doubt it will be the States and local communities and utilities that will do the heavy lifting as FEMA tries to give the appearance of doing anything useful.

The discovery by the US Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (3 October 2012) that, “Despite reviewing 13 months’ worth of reporting originating from fusion centers from April 1, 2009 to April 30, 2010, the Subcommittee investigation could identify no reporting which uncovered a terrorist threat, nor could it identify a contribution such fusion center reporting made to disrupt an active terrorist plot” means that there is no evidence of the existence of any domestic terroristthreat. On that basis, it is rational to infer (with high probability) that there is no domestic terrorist threat.

We also know that there are 300 or more FEMA camps distributed around the country. We know that Congress has authorized 30,000 drones to conduct surveillance on the American people. We know that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had requisitioned 1.5 billion rounds of .40 calibre hollow-point ammunition, which is not even permissible for use in warfare under the Geneva Conventions. Since DHS does not conduct operations abroad, it is rational to infer (with virtual certainty) that DHS must be acquiring that massive stock of ammo for use in the United States.

As I mentioned on Press TV earlier this year ~ The Obama administration has militarized the police force for the street protests yet to come which should reach a climax in Chicago now at the NATO summit meetings.
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit in Chicago was designated a National Special Security Event, which puts the Secret Service in charge of “event security”; the FBI in control of “intelligence, counter terrorism, hostage rescue and investigation of incidents of terrorism or other major criminal activities”; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in charge of “recovery management in the aftermath of terrorist or other major criminal incidents, natural disasters or other catastrophic events,” reported the Independent.
Chicago, under the guidance of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, has become an armed fortress. As such it is now Show and Tell time for Obama’s newly minted civilian arrest and detention laws ~ and here’s some early evidence of what’s to come:

The horror stories about the Transportation Security Administration are indisputable. In the post 911 environment, civil liberties routinely ignored or eliminated, become a mere memory in a country that once prided itself as the beacon of freedom for the entire world. The TSA is part of the Department of Homeland Security. FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency is also an agency of DHS. The public relation spin for the purpose of such authorities is to protect citizens and guard the nation. The reality is that DHS bureaus have the same mission, keep the government safe from potential real or imaginary threats. Interpret threats to mean anyone who opposes the establishment regime, now known as, the military-industrial-financial-security complex.

Seven hundred National Guard members from the Northeast and Caribbean will be in central New York this week for disaster preparedness training. They will train for certification as a regional disaster response force capable of assisting responders following a chemical, biological, nuclear or high-explosive incident, according to the Associated Press.

They are part of the National Guard Homeland Response Force (HRF) controlled by the Department of Defense. There are currently ten HRF units hosted by one state in each FEMA region, according to the Pentagon.

This partnership builds on the historic collaboration between the two agencies and will enhance the federal government’s disaster capabilities, increase the reliability and diversity of the disaster workforce, promote an ethic of service, expand education and economic opportunity for young people, and achieve significant cost savings for the American taxpayer. When the program is at full operational capability, and in an average disaster year, we expect to see a savings of approximately $60 million in a year.
Every year, millions of Americans suffer the effects of natural and man-made disaster. Disasters can lead to human losses, social problems, economic harm, and environmental damage. Given the prevalence and severity of disasters and other hazards, FEMA is looking for ways to diversify and fortify its existing disaster workforce structure.

Once again the corporate media has pounced on any opportunity it can to smear Congressman Ron Paul as he heads into perhaps the most important week of his presidential campaign thus far.
Appearing on CNN Sunday, Paul was asked his opinion on FEMA’s management of the recent aftermath of the destructive tornados in the Midwestern states.
Paul explained that he was not an advocate of the federal government having authority and responsibility over such situations, that he does not support the notion of federal money, and that the states should be allowed to take care of their own.

Federal agency seeks to track “effectiveness of public affairs messaging”
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has followed in the footsteps of the DHS in looking to hire a private contractor that will monitor news coverage of the agency’s activities on a 24/7 basis.

“FEMA is planning to award a 100% small business set-aside contract to a media monitoring firm that can monitor, archive and measure all local news in “major Nielsen markets,” all nationally broadcast news and all cable outlets for their news coverage of FEMA activities in the field across the U.S.,” reports Government Security News.
The program is similar in nature to a Department of Homeland Security monitoring effort that stoked controversy and a congressional hearing after it emerged that the DHS had hired an outside contractor, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, to monitor social media outlets along with a list of websites, on a “24/7/365 basis,” in order to uncover “any media reports that reflect adversely on the U.S. Government and the Department.”
This included monitoring remarks by residents of Standish, Michigan in “newspaper comment talkbacks, local blogs, Twitter posts, and publicly available Facebook posts,” to gage the response to a plan to bring Guantanamo Bay detainees to a local prison.
Although the FEMA contract does not specifically mention the monitoring of blogs and comments made by Internet users, it does call for the program to “Monitor the effectiveness of public affairs messaging,” which implies that feedback from citizens regarding FEMA’s activities will be part of the process.
The FEMA contract for the monitoring service explains that the agency is looking for information on “media statistics including the audience exposure and publicity value” for news items related to FEMA.
Concerned about its reputation in the eyes of American citizens who are growing increasingly wary of big government, this is not the first time FEMA has reached out to try and massage its image following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which “evoked some of the harshest criticism the agency has ever faced.”

Should FEMA be reported to other law enforcement agencies as a potential terrorist threat?Indeed, the Department of Homeland Security is also busy stockpiling storable food and seed varieties in underground bunkers as part of preparations for domestic emergencies.
Under its Resolve to be Ready program, the DHS even encouraged Americans to store food as part of a “basic emergency supply kit”. (Jan. 18, 2012) — One of the more extraordinary people of our time is a gentleman by the name of Al Garza. I recently had the distinct pleasure of interviewing this interesting man about what he has done, what he is doing now and who he plans to support in the upcoming US presidential race.
A portion of Al’s Bio reads: “Al Garza stands out as a national expert on the issues surrounding Homeland security, border security, immigration law, and the illegal immigration crisis. While originally serving as Executive Director of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, Garza became one of the most well respected national leaders within the border security movement for building coalitions and generating interest for the movement by building dozens of state and local chapters.
“Garza continues challenging our government’s ambiguity on open border policies & enforcement of immigration laws. He laments that politicians have ignored the “Oath of Affirmation” mandating allegiance to the United States Constitution. He advocates for diplomatic sanctions against foreign countries that encourage illegal entry into the United States. Our national security incurs serious jeopardy due to politician’s dereliction of duty. We must continue reminding them that this is a nation of laws. The reality is that as far as is known no one’s been “disappeared” yet. Yet untold numbers are trying to get off radar and worry that they’re coming to take them away.
They’re monitoring journalists including Internet website giants like the Drudge Report, and their all encompassing definition of journalists now includes bloggers. (DHS: privacy compliance review)
Far left power brokers who control most of the media have been monitoring journalists for decades. One of their biggest parlour tricks is their use of drones to write and threaten boycotts to the advertisers of the newspapers and websites who hire them, forcing victimized reporters and editors to move on to another job where the same practice takes place.
The only new about power broker potential for disappearing acts and monitoring journalists/bloggers is that Barack Obama gets to boast about having power over the little people and frighten them back from dissident activity into hiding.
