Yesterday when I saw the picture of the first fully 3D printed gun (I realize the firing pin is a nail and was not printed) I almost wept for joy. This is a first important step away from the dominance of the state over their citizens in many parts of the world.
The Toomey-Manchin Proposal Will Allow Doctors to Block Your Right to Guns

I just talked to someone familiar with the Toomey-Manchin proposal who raises a serious concern based on his understanding of the legislation.
Everyone on all sides agrees that we need better help for those with mental health problems who need treatment.
Unfortunately, the person I talked with is concerned that the Toomey-Manchin proposal could discourage people from getting help.

ATF Seeks ‘Massive’ Database of Personal Info: ‘Assets, Relatives, Associates and More’ April 6, 2013 By Gregory Gwyn-Williams, Jr. Subscribe to Gregory Gwyn-Williams, Jr. RSS 1674 413
A recent solicitation from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) reveals that the agency is seeking a “massive” online database capable of pulling up individuals’ personal information, connections and associates.

In California, the government is already coming for the guns.Notwithstanding the Second Amendment, rules and regulations across the United States outline certain restrictions for who can legally possess a firearm. In the state of California, factors such as a felony conviction or a history of mental health issues mean roughly 20,000 gun owners are holding onto their firearms illegally. Slowly but surely, though,
Golden State police officers are prying them away. There’s more, though: backers of the program suggest this becomes a nation-wide practice, and are asking the White House to help make it happen.“Very, very few states have an archive of firearm owners like we have,” Garen Wintemute of the Violence Prevention Research Program tells Bloomberg News. Wintemute helped set up a program on the West Coast that monitors not just licensed gun owners but also watches for any red flags that could be raised after admittance to a mental health institute or a quick stint in the slammer.
Wintemute says that as many as 200,000 people across the United States may no longer be qualified to own firearms, and in California they are making sure that number drops day by day. In one example cited in this week’s Bloomberg report, journalists recall a recent scene where nine California Justice Department agents equipped with 40-caliber Glock pistols and outfitted in bulletproof vests knocked on a suburban residence, requested to speak to a certain gun owner and then walked away with whatever arsenal they could apprehend.California Attorney General Kamala Harris seized roughly 2,000 weapons last year, reports Bloomberg, as well as 117,000 rounds of ammunition and 11,000 high-capacity magazines.

This must be Barack Obama’s way of thanking our veterans for serving. US veterans are receiving letters from the government informing them that they are disabled and not allowed to own, purchase or possess a firearm.
If the veteran does decide to purchase a firearm he will by fined, imprisoned or both. This comes on page 2 of the VA letter.

“This is about attacking the Second Amendment, it’s about going after the wrong crowd,”.
Clarke blasted gun-control proposals triggered by presidential executive orders and said he would not enforce unconstitutional laws.
While the President and the rabid left continue to pursue a ban on semi-automatic firearms, manufacturers are fighting back by refusing to sell to government agencies that support the President’s plan.
Illinois Gov. Rahm Emannuel tried to pressure Bank of America to stop doing business with firearms companies. Viewed as perfectly acceptable behavior by a large portion of America, firearms manufacturers copied the tactic and returned the favor.
Larue Tactical, Olympic Arms, Templar Custom, Extreme Firepower and now RAM Arms have vocalized that they will not sell their products to government agencies that support the President’s position on gun rights.

President Barack Obama is, arguably, the best gun salesman ever. Over 65 million guns have been purchased since the President took office in 2009. FBI background check statistics indicate that, over the last twelve months, Americans purchased a new gun every 1.5 seconds, a figure which suggests there is much more to the recent panic buying than people just stocking up to go hunting or sports shooting.
The following guns and ammo industry report indicates that every major gun and ammunition manufacturer in the country is running at 100% capacity, with many so far behind that they’ve stopped taking new orders altogether.

HOUSE BILL NO. 69
IN THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA
TWENTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE – FIRST SESSION
(Try AGAIN!) ~ Bank Of America, No Guns Or Ammo Purchases With Credit Or Debit Cards,You Have To Hear This! Video | Banksters
If this doesn’t clearly reveal to you that perhaps there could be more to the story than just ‘protecting children’ and ‘public safety‘, it’s willful choice to keep those eyes, ears, and mind closed..
Bank of America has decided that they are our lords telling us what we can and can not purchase!!!! ASK THE JEWS OF GERMANY HOW THE PROCESS WORKS!
If you’re reading this, you’ve probably had a conversation with someone in the last few days who asked, “Why do ordinary law-abiding people need those semiautomatic firearms with magazines that can hold more than ten cartridges?” There are lots of sound answers.
For one thing, defensive firearms are meant to be “equalizers,” force multipliers that can allow one good person to defend against multiple evil people. To allow one good person to defend against a single evil person so much stronger and/or bigger and/or more violent than he or she, that the attacker’s potentially lethal assault can be stopped. History shows that it often takes many gunshots to stop even a single determined aggressor. Most police officers have seen the famous autopsy photo in the cops-only text book “Street Survival” of the armed robber who soaked up 33 police 9mm bullets before he stopped trying to kill the officers.
He shot several of them, and discovered that it took so many hits to stop them that he placed multiple loaded handguns every few feet along his workbench. That’s not possible in a home, or when lawfully carrying concealed on the street: a semiautomatic pistol with a substantial cartridge capacity makes much more sense for that defensive application.

SEMINOLE, Fla. – As a pawn shop owner, Frank James was always a big believer in gun rights and the second amendment. After all, it was his bread and butter business. But after what he saw in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday, he’s had a change of heart. “I basically broke into tears and looked up on the wall, seeing the types of firearms I am selling,” James said.
At the Loan Star Pawn store in Seminole, a glass display case that once housed several Bushmaster AR-15 assault rifles is now empty. The glass counters normally filled with handguns has been completely cleared.
“I’m not going to be part of it anymore,” James said. He has several copies of the exact rifle suspected in the massacre.
“The model, the brand, everything,” he said.
The father of four said he was especially touched knowing that his youngest child, a six-year old daughter, was the same age as many of those children who were shot to death.
“I dropped my daughter off at school this morning. That was enough for me,” James said. “Conscience wins over making money.”
The store manager came into the pawn shop Monday and saw James taking down signs advertising guns, and asked him what was going on.
“He said don’t take the guns out of the safe. We’re no longer selling them,” said Leia Thomas. “I was shocked.”
The Chinese state-controlled media’s statement, titled “Innocent Blood Demands No Delay for US Gun Control,” is primarily focused on the Newtown tragedy in which 26 Americans were killed by a mad gunman.
Twenty of the victims were young children. The Chinese government stated, “Their blood and tears demand no delay for the U.S. gun control.”
In an apparent effort to restrict information to their populace, the Chinese government wrote of a number of US mass shootings but failed to mention they were either stopped by a citizen legally carrying a firearm or otherwise only occurred in the controversial gun-free zones that critics say make prime targets for madmen.

Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that’s it.
In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.
There were no criminal charges, no suspicions of criminal activity charge, and he was notarrested but all of his firearms were confiscated and he has been given a notice to appear before a judge. He is a Purple Heart recipient, no criminal background, no issues with prior VA psych evals. I just got off the phone with him and would like to pass along all of the information (and there is quite a bit) so others can be made aware of what is happening. At 18:40 ESTon 22/Aug/2012, I received a call from a very close friend of mine in west central Ohio, claiming he had just had all firearms confiscated. At first I thought he was joking, as we often do, so I made some sarcastic remarks, but he continued explaining what he had gone through. I stopped him and asked if he was being serious or just pulling my leg. He assured me he was being serious.

Yesterday, the BATFE held a briefing for the media on the results regarding traces of firearms recovered in Mexico. Reporters that attended this briefing were not allowed any cameras, recording devices, or video equipment. They were only allowed pen and paper to take notes. Katie Pavlich of Townhall.com tweeted after the event that the moment they got into the briefing they were given a flash drive with the statistics.
The data released show that 68% of the guns submitted for tracing originated in the United States. Note that is only the guns submitted by the Mexican government. Moreover, as Larry Keane of NSSF pointed out in a tweet early this morning, no mention is made of the “Time to Crime” stat. Thus, you don’t know if the “recovered” firearms traced are ones from Operation Fast and Furious or from a burglary in El Paso in 1997.
The BATFE released this yesterday regarding the briefing on the traces.

Worries over a “major catastrophe” hitting the United States also drive firearms purchases
Gun shops are citing fears over Barack Obama’s re-election to explain surging sales, with one store in Lubbock, Texas reporting “drastic” increases in firearms purchases, as a new National Geographic survey finds a majority of respondents believe America will be hit with a “major catastrophe” at some point.
“Now that it’s election season again, you have people uncertain… You have a customer or two coming in and saying that they’re buying because they’re afraid they won’t be able to get it soon,” said J.D. Clay, salesman at Sharpshooters Inc.
Sharpshooters report a 40 per cent increase in recent sales, a figure that has been matched or surpassed nationwide. Gun store owners in West Texas are reporting 50 per cent hikes in sales. The FBI reports a 23 per cent increase in background checks compared to the year before in the lone star state.
After record one day sales on Black Friday back in December, gun stores are also celebrating all time high sales for the month of February.
Gun manufacturerSmith & Wesson’s shares also shot up 18 per cent last week, their highest level in two years, on the back of reports of a 60 per cent surge in backlog orders.
Interest in gun shows is also rampant, with a record turnout of nearly 4,000 people showing up to an event in Iowa this past weekend. Concealed carry permits in the state have soared by as much as 270 per cent over the last year in some counties.

Gun enthusiasts fear that Obama will use his same duck second term to follow through on a promise he made to gun control advocate Sarah Brady during a White House meeting last year, that his administration was working “under the radar” to sneak attack the second amendment rights of American citizens.
“Put down the Chore Boy and back away from the weaponry!”
It’s an order that actually could be heard, given that a letter has surfaced from the federal government warning against consumers stockpiling Chore Boy household scrubbers because they can be considered a component of a gun silencer and, therefore, regulated by federal gun laws.
The letter is from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the ATF. It was obtained by David Codrea, who publishes online as the Gun Rights Examiner.

Gun ownership is on the rise in some surprising places. As much as President Obama would have us believe that only small-town yokels “cling to guns or religion,” a Gallup poll released Wednesday suggests many of the firearms that have been flying off the shelves in the past two years were purchased by Democrats and women. The Second Amendment has truly gone mainstream.
The initial raid lasted less than an hour.
“These guys were in full get-up, automatic weapons,” said Bahama Mamas manager Joe Gold.
Heavy on action and light on information, investigators remained tight-lipped about the warrants served at the Citadel Gun and Safe store and an unoccupied building behind it.
“I was just trying to get to my car, because I thought it was going to get taken away, because you know it was in the way,” Bahama Mamas worker Rai Reed.
“We were just watching what was going on. Nobody has any idea. I know the gun store, but I’ve never seen anything in there,” Gold said.
While Citadel owner John Call and other people were taken into custody at the store, a warrant was also being issued at Call’s house in northwest Las Vegas.
Neighbors and businesses speculated at what prompted this unusual raid.
“I don’t know. I have no idea,” Gold said.
“All we can do is assume. It’s a gun shop, and this place over here – it could be drugs. It could be anything,” Reed said.
Call and the other people arrested in the raid were released on Saturday.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Nevada is working with the Air Force on this investigation.
The Post & Email spoke with LCDR Walter Francis Fitzpatrick, III (Ret.) regarding the raid on the gun store, and he told us:
We’ve spoken before about the insidious nature of the attempts by the military to replace civilian police with military police in the United States. This Air Force-led raid on a civilian gun shop in Las Vegas is but another example – and it looks as if the Air Force has gotten pretty aggressive on this – of where you have military policemen exercising military government in a civilian community. There is no reason why a sheriff’s department or police department could not have gone in to this gun shop and effected a law enforcement activity. The reports I have seen say that there was someone from nearby Nellis Air Force Base who took property from Nellis and sold it to someone at the store.
I do not know how that business transaction was carried out – if it was someone walking in with body armor, meals ready to eat – I don’t know what precautions the proprietors of the gun shop took or did not take. But if somebody walks in with jewelry to a pawn shop, there is an obligation on the part of the proprietor, if he or she believes the jewelry has been stolen, to notice police officials. I don’t know if the proprietors of the gun shop were under any suspicion at all that the property was “hot,” but I do know this much: it did not fall under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Air Force to find out………………
Something about Project Gunrunner (gunwalker, fast and furious) has been bugging me but I just couldn’t put my finger on it.
This morning when I woke up I remember seeing Project Gunrunner in a bill that was discussed here. The original thread about it was a rumor thread that HR45 had been rolled into the stimulus package.
I posted in the thread: “Only time “gun” or “firearm” appears is in the part that give $10,000,000 to the ATF for Project Gunrunner. That was H.R. 495, asking for 15,000,000 for Gunrunner”.
H.R. 495 that I mentioned never made it out of committee, but it looks as it was to specifically fund Gunrunner.
Instead portions of it were rolled into the stimulus package a month later. That text found in H.R.1 is:
For an additional amount for ‘State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance’, $40,000,000, for competitive grants to provide assistance and equipment to local law enforcement along the Southern border and in High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas to combat criminal narcotics activity stemming from the Southern border, of which $10,000,000 shall be transferred to ‘Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Salaries and Expenses’ for the ATF Project Gunrunner.
Notice that’s $40,000,000 for Southern border enforcement, $10,000,000 of which specifically for Project Gunrunner. What does $10 million pay for here? It didn’t hire any new agents that I am aware of.
What this tells me is that several congressmen also had knowledge of what Gunrunner was going to entail. This isn’t just the ATF and DOJ. This is all levels and areas of government. Even members of the House and Senate knew what Project Gunrunner was.
Rick Scott Approves Bill to “Briefly” Flash Your Gun at People(FL)
Rick Scott Approves Bill to “Briefly” Flash Your Gun at People(FL):
“Since Gov. Rick Scott signed SB 234 into law Friday, it’s been legal to show off your hardware — but just for a little bit.
It is not a violation of this section for a person licensed to carry a concealed firearm as provided in s. 790.06(1), and who is lawfully carrying a firearm in a concealed manner, to briefly and openly display the firearm to the ordinary sight of another person, unless the firearm is intentionally displayed in an angry or threatening manner, not in necessary self-defense.
That all changed, though, over the next couple of centuries when states began imposing massive amounts of gun control. These restrictions turned countless Americans into mandatory victims, and many innocent lives were lost as a result.
But now, we are ever so slowly inching our way back to removing the mountain of prohibitions on being armed in public. Prior to this year, three states had stopped requiring law-abiding citizens to first get a permit to carry firearms concealed in public. And now, legislators in Wyoming have added the Cowboy State to this growing list.
Constitutional carry is the term Gun Owners of America has applied to carrying firearms without getting prior approval from the government. It recognizes that the Second Amendment is serious when it says that our gun rights “shall not be infringed.” We hear statists say that all of our rights are subject to being balanced by the “interests” of the government. Such a view would have us forget that “We the People” are the boss, and the government works for us.
We have the “interests;” but the government has only one responsibility — to do what it is told.
Many of us received copies of gun and outdoors magazines back then. In addition to being chocked full of interesting articles on hunting, the history, use, and maintenance of your firearms, you could buy guns directly by mail from a host of gun dealers who advertised in these magazines. Pay the price and the shipping and your gun would be delivered directly to your home by an agent of the United States Government, the postman.
We have pictured here an assortment of mail order firearm advertisements from 1964 to 1967. Its amazing what $24.00 to $39.00 or so could bring to your door. Or, try this one. For a little more, how about an M1 Garand direct to your door for $79.99 plus $1.00 postage?
These ads will be a shocker to anyone who doesn’t know about the freedom of mail order back then. They will be nostalgic and painful for those of us who miss those salad days.

The holy grail of the anti self defense and anti rights special interest groups is gun registration. This is because once your gun is required to be registered, it is in effect, already confiscated. Only a little thought will reveal to you why this is so. The Government will know who has legal possession of each firearm. They will know where the firearm is stored. When physical possession of the gun is desired, they can order you to turn it in.
This has happened repeatedly. The historical examples include NAZI Germany, Soviet Russia, Red China, and Cambodia. Recent examples include Kosovo, Great Britian, Australia, New York, and California. Not having possession of the firearm registered to you can be grounds for criminal action. If you have reported the gun stolen, and it is then found in your possession, you can be charged with obstruction of justice. It is a truism that once all guns are required to be registered, the only people who will legally possess guns will be those who have registered them. If you choose to follow the course of civil disobedience, and not register your firearms, mere possession of an unregistered gun can put you at grave legal risk. Civil disobedience has been the most common course of action in California and Canada, where it has proven impossible to enforce the laws requiring registration. If you choose this course of action, you would now be at the mercy of any informant who discovers that you possess a gun illegally. Children in the public schools are already being trained to tell the police if there is a gun in the house. Doctors are being urged to ask children if there are guns in their home. A warrant was issued in California for a SWAT raid based on the mere picture of people holding unidentified guns which were legal. The picture had been sent to the police by an informant in the film developing company. If you are not on the list of those who have registered, you have become a criminal. If you are forced to use the gun for self defense, you will have committed a serious crime.
It will become extremely difficult to train your children in firearms safety or to bring friends or relatives into the gun culture. In a few years, the number of people with personal knowledge of guns will be much smaller. The people who urge gradual or immediate gun registration are attempting cultural genocide of the gun culture.
Gun Ownership Rises to All-Time High, Violent Crime Falls to 35-Year LowNational Rifle Association of America, Institute for Legislative ActionCoinciding with a surge in gun purchases that began shortly before the 2008 elections, violent crime decreased six percent between 2008 and 2009, including an eight percent decrease in murder and a nine percent decrease in robbery.

Murder has fallen 49 percent to a 45-year low.2 At the same time, the number of guns that Americans own has risen by about 90 million. Predictions by gun control supporters, that increasing the number of guns, particularly handguns and so-called “assault weapons,” would cause crime to increase, have been proven profoundly lacking in clairvoyance.4Crimes per 100,000 populationYear Total Violent Crime Murder Rape Robbery Aggravated Assault1991 758.1 9.8 42.3 272.7 433.32008 457.5 5.4 29.7 145.7 276.72009 429.4 5.0 28.7 133.0 262.8Trend, 2008-2009 -6% -8% -4% -9% -5%Trend, 1991-2009 -43% -49% -32% -51% -39%More Guns: There are well over 250 million privately-owned firearms in the U.S., including nearly 100 million handguns and tens of millions of “assault weapons” – the types of firearms that gun control supporters have tried the hardest to get banned5 – and the number of firearms typically rises about 4 million per year.

Capt. John Raguso keeps threatening to send us a review of Kel Tec’s smokin’ SUB-2000 9mm carbine.
Today, Hi-Point Carbines drops the news that their long awaited .45 ACP rifle is ready to rock and roll. These handgun-caliber carbine may be gaining favor over the venerable 12-gauge as the weapon of choice for home defense. And for good reason.
In fact, here are four. . .1. Less recoil than a shotgunWhile home defense shotguns put an awful lot of lead downrange with a single trigger squeeze, shooters pay the price with a big ole’ wallop to their shoulder. That’s no big thing for big people who’re comfortable with firearms who may, in fact, like the kick. And in the heat of battle, who cares? But if a gun is formidable to fire i.e. painful, its owners are FAR less likely to practice. If they don’t, they will not be confident and accurate.Even in .45 ACP, handgun-caliber carbines have minimal recoil, relatively speaking.
The lower recoil makes the rifles far more attractive to women, teens and let’s be honest here small-framed men. They can also put a lot of lead downrange. BONUS! Quick mag changes are easier than reloading a shotgun.
