Once upon a time, most Americans had never even heard of “flash mob robberies” or “organized looting”. Now they are considered to be a part of normal life in America.
On Saturday, more than 20 teens stormed into a trendy clothing store in Chicago and stole more than $3,000 worth of jeans, but it barely made a blip on the national news because this kind of thing has become so common. After all, we just saw the exact same kind of thing happen in Jacksonville,Detroit, Baltimore and a whole bunch of other places. Flash mob crimes have become so common in Chicago that they take public opinion polls about them. But when I first started writing about this phenomenon a couple of years ago, hardly anyone knew what “mob robberies” were.

Youths who had their house party broken up by the cops quickly moved the rager to a nearby Jacksonville Walmart on Saturday night, creating a veritable flash mob, according to News 4JAX.

‘Honor is a hard term to describe. It doesn’t have a color or weight or shape. If someone were to ask me what honor looked like, I’d probably struggle with what to say.
But something happened on May 23, 2012 at 9:31 a.m. at Gate 38 of Reagan National Airport that might change that. A flash mob of sorts broke out. But not like you’ve seen on YouTube with highly choreographed dance numbers or people singing a song in unison. In fact, virtually all of the participants of this “flash mob” didn’t know they would be participating until moments before it happened.

The Occupy movement is stepping up its confrontational tactics, plotting “alternative forms of protest,” including flash mobs that can be deployed nationwide.
Citing the success of last week’s so-called Day of Action protests, Take to the Square, one of Occupy’s main online planning forums, has devised an “Alternative Day of Action” to coincide with international Human Rights Day on Dec. 10.
“Our freedom and dignity are under attack as a result of market dynamics and corrupt government institutions that are turning our local and global societies into increasingly unjust places,” the site complains.

Are they teaching community organizing at Mastery Charter High School?
Philly officials reported that the latest violent flash mob to hit the streets were from an Oprah-funded charter school.

The incident occurred July 29—the same day flash mob attacks took place in another section of the city—just blocks from Mastery Charter High School. Students in the video face expulsion or suspension, school officials wrote in a letter to residents in the area where the attack took place.
Sources told Fox 29 that man attacked in the video was hospitalized with injuries to his head and teeth. No charges have been filed so far, police told Fox 29.
“It makes me sick,” said Mastery CEO Scott Gordon.”We’re very very upset about it, that any student, but particularly a student that’s been in a Mastery school, would behave like that, to think that that’s okay, is very disturbing.”
Mastery’s parent company received $1 million from Winfrey last September as part of her Angel Network.
