Constitutional Convention Call Redux – Rexford G. Tugwell & The New States Constitution
There are numerous organizations promoting a Constitutional Convention under the guise of a Balanced Budget Amendment. Tom DeWeese wrote about the 10 Amendments for Freedom, Inc, chaired by William Fruth, President of POLICOM Corporation. He covered this in his articles, “Powerful Forces Calling for a Constitutional Convention,” and “Constitutional Convention Cannot be Controlled.”
Back in 1995, model resolutions for the Conference of States (COS) came from the National Council of State Legislators (NCSL), the organization that indoctrinates liberal (mostly Democratic) legislators, just as American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) does the conservatives (Republicans). The NCSL is presently backing the internet sales tax, and the rotten E-Verify.
Gary Johnson, Stein in Election Eve Debate
Should our federal government be big and “green” or small and frugal? That question is likely to be at the heart of the final debate of the 2012 presidential campaign, when candidates Dr. Jill Stein of the Green Party and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party meet in an election eve debate between “alternative candidates” for president.
Prison Planet.com » Voting for a Third Party Candidate Is NOT a Wasted Vote
…..How do we drive large-scale change during moments of crisis? How do we use this election to do so? Well, voting third party or even just honestly portraying Obama’s policy architecture is a good way to identify to ourselves and each other who actually has the integrity to not cave to bullying….
We need to put ourselves into the position to be able to run the government.
After all, if a political revolution came tomorrow, could those who believe in social justice and climate change actually govern?

[If we had had more courage, we could have] reorganized our politics. Instead the oligarchs took control, because we weren’t willing to face them down when we needed to show courage. So now we have the worst of all worlds, an inevitably worse crisis and an even more authoritarian structure of governance.

Talk Show Icon King to Moderate 3rd Party Debate
Larry King To Moderate Third Party Candidate Debates
Larry King, the celebrated talk show host accustomed to A-list interview guests, has agreed to moderate a debate featuring a squad of minor-party presidential candidates.
The former CNN giant will guide next Tuesday’s debate in Chicago, which will be broadcast on the Internet. The candidates taking part are the Libertarian Party‘s Gary Johnson, the Green Party’s Jill Stein, the Constitution Party‘s Virgil Goode and the Justice Party’s Rocky Anderson.
King told The Associated Pressthat it’s clear none of them will win, but he said they all deserve a voice in the presidential race. Democrats and Republicans are keeping tabs on Johnson and Goode, two ex-Republicans who could be factors in key battleground states.
Do the debates unfairly shut out third parties?
The presidential and vice presidential debates are sponsored by the Commission on Presidential Debates, a nonprofit corporation that mandates that a candidate have at least 15 percent support in national polls to participate.
Since the CPD took over running the debates in 1988, only once has a third party candidate been allowed to participate: In 1992, when Ross Perot joined Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush on the debate stage.
The dominance of the two major parties at the debates has critics charging that the system is effectively rigged to shut out other voices. Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party nominee for president and former New Mexico governor, has sued on anti-trust grounds to be included this year. The CPD, he said in an interview, is designed “to protect the interests of Republicans and Democrats.”
MSNBC | The Bullshit Fighter ~ (“Former Governor Jesse Ventura was on CNN this Tuesday where he was interviewed about his new book, DemoCRIPS and ReBLOODlicans: No More Gangs in Government. If you were watching CNN on television, you would have seen this endorsement. If you went to CNN’s website, you would have seen the endorsement edited out.”)

Ron Paul Won’t Endorse Romney, Sees “Essentially No Difference” ~ (“There are other people who are technically capable of winning because they’re on a lot of ballots,” Paul said about alternatives to Romney or Obama. “Like Gary Johnson, for example,” the interviewer suggested. “Yeah,” Paul replied…..)

…..”I don’t know how anybody could be against transparency,” Paul said during debate on the bill, arguing that the American people have a right to know the details of the Fed’s rescue deals and its support of foreign central banks.
“It’s time that we stood up to the Federal Reserve that right now acts like some kind of high, exalted priesthood, unaccountable to democracy,” Rep. Dennis Kucinich, (D-Ohio) charged during the House debate.
A companion bill in the Senate has been introduced by Paul’s son Rand, a Kentucky Republican, though there is little chance of it passing this year.

Johnson Files Antitrust Suit To Appear in Debates (Libertarian candidate)
Washington — Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnsonisn’t going out without a fight.
The former New Mexico governor this week took his case for inclusion in the presidential debates to U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. Johnson’s presidential campaign filed an antitrust lawsuit alleging that the Commission on Presidential Debates is colluding with the Republican and Democratic parties to prevent third-party candidates from participating.
“It’s antitrust. We’re being excluded by a private organization, and it is fundamentally unfair,” Johnson told the Journal on Friday.

At every step, mainstream media attempted to censor information regarding the revolutionary Republican candidate nominee, in some cases even censoring the utterance of his name.
The candidate was even ousted from his speaking role at the Republican National Convention last week, where his delegates were thrown to the nosebleed seats of the Tampa Bay Times Forum, and where he faced, still, further persecution as the Romney campaign’s lawyer, Ben Ginsberg, presented a vote to change party rules concerning the binding of delegates, the outcome of which was later revealed to have been predetermined.
Polls Show Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson Could Be the 2012 Election Spoiler
COMMENTARY | Could Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson, a former New Mexico governor, play a spoiler role in the 2012 election, especially out west? Most polls aren’t even giving him the benefit of the doubt, failing to include him as an option.
EconomicPolicyJournal.com: Gary Johnson to Attend Ron Paul Festival
Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson will be speaking to Ron Paul supporters at a festival in Tampa days before the Republican convention in August. The festival is one of three planned by different organizers, for the days leading up to the convention.
He’ll probably get a better reception, than if Rand Paul appeared…….
Devvy Kidd — End the Violence, Legalize all Drugs – A Pipe Dream
There has been a major push in this country for many years to legalize all drugs – especially by Libertarians and two presidential candidates, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul and Gary Johnson (who dropped out early on):
“During a “lightning round” where candidates were asked to answer questions about the issues that would give them the most problems during the primaries, both libertarian candidates– Paul and former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson– were asked to defend their liberal stances on drugs. First was Rep. Paul, who Fox’s Chris Wallace confronted with his controversial position that drugs and prostitution should be legalized. His unapologetic response elicited cheers from the crowd, as he argues that, just as “you don’t have the First Amendment so you could talk about the weather,” civil liberties do not exist to protect personal rights upon which most agree.
Jim Rogers Isn’t Too Optimistic About Stock Markets in 2012, Sees Longer Term Systemic Collapse
Legendary global investor and chairman of Singapore-based Rogers Holdings, Jim Rogers has been talking about his 2012 predictions.
In a nutshell, he is neither too optimistic about the stock market for 2012 nor about what’s going to happen in the world in the next two or three years.
Speaking to Australia Financial News Network (AFNN) December 23, Rogers said: “The problems are going to continue to get worse until someone solves the basic underlying problem of too much spending and too much debt.”
He sees the biggest risk to global growth in 2012 as “too much debt…too much consumption…and the central bank in the US which keeps printing money.”
Rogers, seen as one of the world’s most successful investors, highlighted the scale of the problem to his host: The problem is that the measures America needs [to solve the crisis] would cause huge pain for a while, but, if we don’t take our pain now, and we wait until the market forces the pain on us, then it’s going to be systemic collapse.”
Refusing to get drawn into US politics, Rogers nevertheless provided a tacit endorsement: “Gary Johnson and Ron Paul seem to understand the problems that are facing America,” he said.
“Blond” vindication: Megyn Kelly AND Shannon Bream to ask questions at Thursday’s FOX/GOP debate
“Blond” vindication: Megyn Kelly AND Shannon Bream to ask questions at Thursday’s FOX/GOP debate
“Blond” vindication: Megyn Kelly AND Shannon Bream to ask questions at Thursday’s FOX/GOP debate:
Well, at least ALL attention Thursday night won’t be focused on deciding who has better hair..Perry or Romney..FOX has decided to “promote” two of its stable of blond bombshells…Megyn Kelly AND Shannon Bream to ask questions of the candidates, along with Chris Wallace. The always capable Brett Baier will host and moderate.
Perhaps the suits at FOX are attempting to atone for their inane decision to include Gary Johnson on the stage..as if that’s what we really need..another distraction from a serious debate among the major candidates. Hey, why not Buddy Roehmer?……………………………

…Andrew Napolitano. The Judge has a print and electronic record a mile long. And, he keeps hitting home runs; no Gary Johnson, he. Judge Napolitano is a charismatic, telegenic presence who is always willing to stand up to the Fox News neo-nuts clamor for war-mongering and Wall Street bailouts. With a Paul/Napolitano ticket, the Republicans would finally have a team that has read, understood, and would honor the original intent of the Constitution. This includes reducing the power of the imperial presidency, engaging in wars for only self-defense purposes, not imperialism, ensuring that Congress declares them, freeing up the economy and promoting personal liberty and responsibility. In any one-on-one debate, Napolitano would overwhelm Biden.
Rand Paul. There have been father and son presidents in the past. The Adamses and the Bushes come to mind. Well, let’s forget the latter duo, please. There has never been a father son pair running for President and Vice President at the same time, however. Well, there is thus a case for breaking that particular pattern. A Paul-Paul Republican ticket would be unique, and attract global attention on that ground alone. It would certainly lay to rest any fears about Ron Paul’s age; should he, God forbid, perish in office, there would be another Paul immediately ready to step into the breach. (Not that this is a reasonable fear: the present authors bet that Dr. Ron Paul could beat any of his competitors for the Republican nomination in any reasonable test of strength or endurance. A former track runner, Congressman Paul could run rings around any of them. However, we make a concession here: if there were a pie-eating contest, our money would be on Newt Gingrich). One more reason for a Rand Paul Vice Presidential run: think of how that would upset the Republican hierarchy!…………………….
