Mitt Romney: His Draft Evasion Cover-up

During the brutal Vietnam War, some men dodged the draft, sought deferments, faked illnesses, were placed in National Guard and Reserve units then destined to never be called up. Some opposed the war, some favored war but wanted others to fight for them, those are called “Chickenhawks.”

Others, like Mitt Romney, current presidential candidate, go further. Elections bring out fiction, acrimony and hagiography. The latter is the drivel money buys to hide the truth even if the truth may be the only signs of humanity left in what has otherwise become an empty shell.

We will learn about Mitt Romney, more an invention than a person and a family that, for generations, rejected American citizenship, fled America to avoid prosecution for 26 years and never reapplied or met citizenship criteria.

Everything known about Mitt Romney is hagiography, basically bull. This will be something different, unvarnished, and true.

Draft evasion isn’t a clever ruse to avoid serving your nation during wartime; it’s a criminal act punishable by ten years in prison and a large fine. It labels violators felons for life, prohibits voting, running for public office and can even, heaven forbid, prohibit serving as President of the United States.

The difference between the two involves analysis of the legality of efforts to be “unavailable” for service.

There are several “official histories” of Mitt Romney, but his favorite is written by John Kasich of the Boston Globe, his official approved biographer. Kasich wrote a bestselling book on Romney, oft describing him as a “liberal Ronald Reagan.”

However, in 2007, it was Kasich, in his role of “investigative reporter” to use his hundreds of hours of research and full access to all Romney documents to look into accusations of draft evasion leveled against Romney.

Mitt Romney’s Father Was A Mexican Citizen When Mitt Was Born.

Is Mitt Romney a “natural born citizen”?

———-

It is absolutely clear that Mitt Romney is NOT a Natural Born Citizen unless he can prove that George Romney gained citizenship from naturalization prior to Mitt’s birth in 1947.

Mitt Romney’s father George was born in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1907, the son of Gaskell Romney and Anna Amelia Pratt. Three generations of Romneys lived in Mexico because Miles Park Romney, a polygamist, moved the family there in 1884 as it became increasingly clear that the U.S. government would not tolerate polygamy in the Utah Territory.

(“…Romney’s own birth record became a reminder that in the 1968 presidential campaign, his father had faced his own “birther” controversy….”) Romney’s birth certificate evokes his father’s controversy – chicagotribune.com

Yes, Republican Mitt Romney appears eligible to be president, according to a copy of Romney’s birth certificate released to Reuters by his campaign. Willard Mitt Romney, the certificate says, was born in Detroit on March 12, 1947.

His mother, Lenore, was born in Utah and his father, former Michigan governor and one-time Republican presidential candidate George Romney, was born in Mexico.

So on a day when real estate and media mogul Donald Trump was trying to help Mitt Romney by stirring up a new round of questions about whether Democratic President Barack Obama was born in the United States, Romney’s own birth record became a reminder that in the 1968 presidential campaign, his father had faced his own “birther” controversy.

Back then, George Romney – who died in 1995 – was a moderate who was challenging eventual President Richard Nixon in the Republican primaries.

Records in a George Romney archive at the University of Michigan describe how questions about his eligibility to be president surfaced almost as soon as he began his short-lived campaign.

Six Romney Family Members Hit Campaign Trail… For RON PAUL 2017674619

No less than six relatives of Presidential candidate Mitt Romney have joined the campaign trail in the race for the GOP nomination, but they’re not supporting the former Massachusetts governor, they’re campaigning for Texas Congressman Ron Paul.

Three of Romney’s relatives will even speak at Idaho caucus sites, declaring their support for Paul in a story that is sure to create a buzz around Paul’s campaign as he looks to pick up his first caucus win on Super Tuesday.

The Paul campaign issued a press release Monday introducing five Romney relatives, then issued another release shortly afterwards noting a sixth.

Travis Romney, Troy Romney and Chad Romney, all cousins of Mitt Romney, will speak before Ron Paul crowds in Idaho today. Ty Romney and Jared Romney, whose grandfathers are cousins of former Michigan Governor George Romney, the father of Mitt Romney, have also declared their support for Paul.

“I don’t dislike Mitt at all,” Chad Romney (pictured above) said. “He seems like a nice guy. He just doesn’t understand the constitution like Ron Paul.”

Romney’s connection to Saul Alinsky…

January 31, 2012 6 comments

BOSTON – Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has frequently brought up President Obama’s fondness for the politics and methods of activist Saul Alinsky.

However, there is evidence presumptive Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney may have been influenced by the late 20th century, Chicago-based radical.

Political commentator Dan Riehl wrote on BigGovernment.com that the “toxic-to-conservatives” Alinsky effect has its roots in the former Massachusetts governor’s father, George Romney.

“The progressive Alinsky is infamous and actually toxic on the right,” Riehl wrote. “George Romney’s endorsement of him, coupled with his acknowledged strong influence on son Mitt, will do little to assure suspicious conservatives concerned about Mitt Romney’s record as a progressive, including his introduction of Romneycare in Massachusetts.”
