What happens when Zimmerman’s acquitted?
Exclusive: Jack Cashill stresses significance of attacked Floridian’s bloodied-nose photo
“That man [George Zimmerman] carried a 9-millimeter handgun,” wrote the New York Times’ Charles Blow last April in a typically reckless bit of media disinformation. “That boy [Trayvon Martin] carried a bag of candy.”
That boy also carried a hell of a punch, and now the evidence has emerged that proves it – a front-on, high resolution, color photo of Zimmerman, sitting in a police car, blood dripping from his swollen, disfigured nose
Yes, Lawrence, there is a photograph of Zimmerman’s bloody nose
Remember when ABC obtained a police station surveillance tape which supposedly showed no injuries to George Zimmerman, thereby allegedly disproving his claim that he was being beaten when he shot Trayvon Martin?
The Martin family lawyer along with plenty of left-wing blogs (including a once-famous photo analyst) used that video to proclaim Zimmerman’s guilt.
Among those leading the charge against Zimmermanw as a totally out of control Lawrence O’Donnell, furious that Zimmerman’s lawyer at the time refused to sit for an abuse session with O’Donnell:

ORLANDO, Fla. – The former neighborhood watch volunteer who killed Trayvon Martin told his wife to buy bulletproof vests for them and for his attorney, according to jailhouse calls released Monday.
“As uncomfortable as it is, I want you wearing one,” George Zimmerman told his wife. Zimmerman was wearing a bulletproof vest when he left jail after posting bond. His attorney, Mark O’Mara, has reported receiving threats.

Zimmerman’s Wife Arrested, Charged With Perjury
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. —
WFTV has learned that George Zimmerman’s wife, Shellie Zimmerman, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with perjury.
Earlier Tuesday, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by investigators with the Office of State Attorney Angela Corey, who advised a warrant had been issued for the 25-year-old.

SANFORD, FL- APRIL 20: Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. presides over George Zimmerman’s bond hearing in a Seminole County courtroom on April 20, 2012 in Sanford, Florida. Trayvon Martin was shot by George Zimmerman, a member of a neighborhood watch in Sanford, Florida, who has been charged with second degree murder in the shooting. Bail was set at $150,000 and Zimmerman and could be released from jail as he awaits trial as early as April 21. (Image credit: Getty Images via @daylife)
Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester revoked Zimmerman’s bond on June 1, but his written order was filed Monday. In it, Lester lays out his rationale.
The Lynching of George Zimmerman
George Zimmerman’s public image took a blow when a judge revoked his bond, alleging that Zimmerman willfully misled the court concerning his financial situation. The fact that he’s back in jail makes him appear guilty in the public’s eye, and that’s what matters. Whether or not Zimmerman misled the court is immaterial. In fact, his guilt or innocence is immaterial. His trial has transcended justice; it’s now about capitalizing on opportunity.

The Trayvon Martin case’s Judge Lester has made a judicial misstep about the George Zimmerman bond revocation. And it’s a misstep which only serves to increase the racial tensions in the country, unnecessarily.
Experts Weigh in After Four Witnesses in Trayvon Martin Case Change Story
Several key witnesses in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin by Neighborhood Watch captain George Zimmerman have changed their original stories since first being interviewed by law enforcement, according to news reports about recently released evidence in the case.
Some analysts cited in the media speculated that three of those revised accounts might hurt the shooter’s claims of self-defense as the second-degree murder prosecution goes through the Florida court system.

Two prominent U.S. lawyers are among the skeptics questioning whether evidence in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin supports the second-degree murder charge against George Zimmerman, given the confessed shooter’s apparent injuries and freshly released eyewitness accounts.
“There is no second-degree murder evidence in this case,” Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz said. “It’s a very close case.”

Details released in the past week add to the picture of what might have transpired on that rainy Feb. 26 before Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captain in the Sanford, Fla., community where Martin, 17, was staying with his father’s fiancée, shot the teen dead.
Witness Told Cops He Saw Trayvon Martin Straddling George Zimmerman And Punching Him “MMA Style”
A witness told Florida cops that he saw Trayvon Martin straddling George Zimmerman and pummeling the neighborhood watch captain “MMA style” shortly before the unarmed teen was felled by a gunshot to the chest.
The witness’s account was included in Sanford Police Department reports released today.
Drop George Zimmerman’s murder charge
A medical report by George Zimmerman’s doctor has disclosed that Zimmerman had a fractured nose, two black eyes, two lacerations on the back of his head and a back injury on the day after the fatal shooting. If this evidence turns out to be valid, the prosecutor will have no choice but to drop the second-degree murder charge against Zimmerman — if she wants to act ethically, lawfully and professionally.
There is, of course, no assurance that the special prosecutor handling the case, State Attorney Angela Corey, will do the right thing. Because until now, her actions have been anything but ethical, lawful and professional.
She was aware when she submitted an affidavit that it did not contain the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. She deliberately withheld evidence that supported Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense. The New York Times has reported that the police had “a full face picture” of Zimmerman, before paramedics treated him, that showed “a bloodied nose.” The prosecutor also had photographic evidence of bruises to the back of his head.
But none of this was included in any affidavit.

State prosecutors said Zimmerman, a neighborhood watchman, profiled and stalked 17-year-old Trayvon Martin before killing him, so the FBI is now looking into charging him with a hate crime.
Worst Case Scenario: The Trayvon Martin Case
At the request of my online editor, I am very hesitantly going to discuss the Trayvon Martin case, only because it has huge teachable potential to anyone thinking about carrying a gun for self defense.
The Trayvon Martin case is just about the ultimate Worst Case Scenario, a “Perfect Storm” if you will when it comes to a concealed carry confrontation (one where the shooter survives). I am not talking about the actual physical confrontation, but rather the aftermath.
When Zimmerman evidence is released, what will it show?(FL)
What evidence does Special Prosecutor Angela Corey have that prompted her to charge George Zimmerman with murdering Trayvon Martin? So far, she has refused to say.
Before long, though, she will be required by law to release the evidence — which fills several boxes. What will it show?
“It’ll be like little bits and pieces that will have to be strung together,” said Adam Pollack, an Orlando criminal-trial attorney. “Almost a bunch of little dots. Initially, the little dots don’t make much sense, but if you step back, you see a bigger picture.”

New Black Panther chief defiant after racial rant
A Florida television station’s claim that the Tampa Bay New Black Panther Chief, Michelle Williams, apologized for calling for a race war rings hollow.
This month, Michelle Williams, Tampa leader of the New Black Panthers, called for a race riot on Bubba the Love Sponge’s nationally syndicated radio show just before George Zimmerman’s arrest – days later she followed up with a tearful but remorseless television interview at Tampa Bay 10 News.
Some of the racially derogatory comments made by the New Black Panthers chief that raised brows during Bubba’s Tampa Bay-based radio show included the following racial rant:
“Let me tell you, the things that’s about to happen, to these honkeys, these crackers, these pigs, these pink people, these —- people. It has been long overdue. My prize right now this evening … is gonna be the bounty, the arrest, dead or alive, for George Zimmerman. You feel me?”
Does the Third Amendment Speak to the George Zimmerman Case? (“But what has not been discussed is whether as a Neighborhood Watch volunteer, George Zimmerman… “)
Author’s Note, April 23, 2012: I have removed the word “gated” from my description of the Twin Lakes community per the following link: “According to Ryan Julison, assistant to Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump, Twin Lakes is actually not entirely gated.

There is also no guard at the gate, there are no high fences. The community is just modest condos, Julison says, not protected with the electronic equivalent of a castle moat. So the Gate Access Form provided by The Retreat at Twin Lakes Homeowners Association could be considered somewhat misleading.” – J. Neil Schulman
On February 26, 2012 George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer in the Sanford, Florida Retreat at Twin Lakes community which had recently suffered a spate of home burglaries, observed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin walking in circles in the rain, and telephoned his local police department to report the activity as suspicious.
While on the phone with the police dispatcher Zimmerman reportedly followed Martin, and at some point there was a confrontation between Zimmerman and Martin in which witnesses report Zimmerman down on the ground with Martin on top of him. We know this confrontation ended when Zimmerman, who was licensed to carry a concealed firearm, fatally shot Martin.
Zimmerman is now out on bond, charged by Florida with Second Degree Murder. The state’s affidavit in support of this charge alleges that Zimmerman improperly followed Martin, initiating the confrontation, even though in the bail hearing State Investigator Dale Gilbreath testified that Florida does not know whether Zimmerman continued to follow Martin after the police dispatcher advised him this was not needed, and even though according to Dale Gilbreath’s testimony the State does not know whether Zimmerman or Martin started the fight.
But it’s the Florida prosecution’s contention that Zimmerman can not claim self-defense justifying his use of deadly force since by following Martin he created the circumstances leading to the teenager’s death.
Much of the discussion of this case has referred to Zimmerman’s right to be armed, constitutionally preserved under the Second Amendment. I’ve previously written on these pages that instead of restricting George Zimmerman’s right to keep and bear arms, it should have been expanded to include Trayvon Martin’s right to defend his life.
But what has not been discussed is whether as a Neighborhood Watch volunteer, George Zimmerman was acting properly in following Trayvon Martin.
I think the Third Amendment speaks to that question.
George Zimmerman Released From Florida Jail on $150,000 Bond
George Zimmerman has been released from a Florida jail after posting $150,000 bond as he awaits trial for the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman exited the John E. Polk Correctional Facility (JEPCF) at the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office at approximately midnight on Monday. The 28-year-old posted bond and was fitted with an electronic monitoring device prior to release, according to a statement from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

Trial of George Zimmerman Could Trigger Another Rodney King
Trayvon Martin’s shooter has a new lawyer. Mansfield Frazier hopes he’s advising his client to take a plea, since a protracted murder trial is the last thing we need.As George Zimmerman faces murder charges for shooting Trayvon Martin, it’s worth asking if America is in danger of facing Rodney King, Part II?That’s what I see down the tracks:
If this case goes all the way to trial, it’s a train wreck waiting to happen. The time is now for strong hands to take the helm and steady the ship of state—not to mention our national racial, political and legal discourse. The paramount concern has to be to avert a large-scale racial calamity. As Touré recently wrote, if sane adults are not careful, deliberate and measured in the handling of the Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman affair, a dark time could descend upon America.Look what’s already festering on the streets of Sanford…..
The Arrest of George Zimmerman: Justice or Politics?
Most people have responded to Angela Corey’s decision to charge George Zimmerman with second degree murder in one of two ways: they have applauded her or they have cautioned people to wait for the trial — in which we will hear all the facts.
Very few people have accused Angela Corey of filing these charges for political reasons, despite her affidavit of probable cause not demonstrating probable cause, or indicating any new evidence that her predecessor didn’t have. Indeed nothing new has become public that would indicate significant new evidence since March 13, when the Sanford police concluded their investigation.

An analysis of media reports on the Trayvon Martin shooting reveals how a local crime story became a national racial outrage.
The incident happened on Feb. 26, 2012, and was primarily reported in local outlets. The first major national news report was on CBS This Morning on March 8, and did not mention race. The story did not take on a racial dimension until later that day, when the AP mistakenly identified the shooter as white (George Zimmerman is of mixed Hispanic descent).
The racial claims were then repeated and amplified by other media outlets, including Gawker, which claimed the neighborhood in which Martin was shot was “predominantly white” (it fact is is “almost 50 percent white,” according to the Daily Beast).
Zimmerman was on the ground being punched when he shot Trayvon Martin – Charleston Charleston Conservative | Examiner.com
Last weekend in the city of Chicago alone, gangbangers slaughtered ten people and wounded another forty. The youngest fatality is only six years old. The youngest person wounded is only one-year-old. Many of the victim were pedestrians sprayed with bullets in drive by shootings. The national news has said nothing about this.
So why does one shooting in Florida warrant weeks of national news? Why has there been thousands of articles a day, for the last four days, about one single shooting?
Almost all of the news items about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin contains a combination of false statements, opinions presented as facts, transparent distortions, and a complete absence of some of the most relevant details. Almost all news items are written soley from the point of view of the grieving family. The media also fills their articles with outdated baby-faced pictures of Trayvon. Very few include that he was a towering 6’2” football player. Is the media really reporting the news, or is this classic agitation/propaganda to advance a political agenda.

George Zimmerman once took criminal justice classes at the community college and was practically a one-man neighborhood watch in his gated part of town, calling police close to 50 times over the past eight years to report such things as slow-driving vehicles, strangers loitering in the neighborhood and open garages.
