Even the name of the department conjures up memories of Nazi Germany. “Homeland” sounds, to me, rather like “The Fatherland.” Speaking it’s name aloud just makes my skin crawl.

Maine Governor LePage Calls IRS ObamaCare Enforcers ‘New Gestapo’

Maine Governor LePage makes a bold statement against the tyrant Obama’s police state.

Gov. Paul LePage used his weekly radio address to blast President Obama’s health care law and described the Internal Revenue Service as the “new Gestapo.”

The IRS description was a reference to a provision in the Affordable Care Act that requires most Americans to buy health insurance or pay an annual penalty when filing their tax returns.

The provision, known more broadly as the individual mandate, was the subject of a multi-state lawsuit, but was recently upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Can you imagine that supporting the United States Constitution will label one a terrorist, a real “Enemy of the State?” You wonder what part of the “defend and protect” part of their Oath the politicians and members of the court didn’t understand? At what point in their lives did our oathtakers cross over to the dark side? Was it on January 20, 2009, or maybe they never had it, were never Patriots, were always followers, never led, have never displayed leadership skills, either on the battlefield of valor or in the intellectual wasteland of the universities’ dogma of “publish or perish?”

The number of unconstitutional pieces of legislation passed by the members of the 111th and 112th Congress is unprecedented, and with the last nail in our coffin, the NDAA, the Gestapo has been given unlimited powers to arrest and censor any citizen without habeas corpus. In other words, the cops can do whatever they want, whenever they want, and to whomever they want.

Of course, following illegal orders doesn’t let anyone off the hook. In the execution of illegal orders by law enforcement, the officers of the court automatically become criminals and are therefore subject to the same reprisals that any other law-breaker is subject to.

If you go to any of Republican candidates’ websites, you’ll be induced to take a nap after reading the boring platforms that they expound, after, of course, navigating by the donation page. “The economy!” “Jobs!” and not a word about deporting illegal immigrants and silence regarding the totally out of control Department of Homeland Security, which purports to target terrorists but really is targeting regular law-abiding Americans, a colossal waste of resources, unless, of course, the goal is to induce fear into the populace.

Homeland Security’s See Something, Say Something snitch campaign is now so pervasive that Big Sis has extended the message to coffee cups, recruiting jittery coffee drinkers to spot terrorists as part of a deal with the Maryland Transit Administration, which used DHS funds to purchase the ads.

The message appears on the sleeve of coffee cups and reads, “If you see something, say something…Report unattended bags and unusual behavior to police or transit personnel.”

The image features a Big Brother eye motif above the lettering.

According to a spokesman, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security provided the funds to pay for the ad and the Maryland Transit Administration duly complied. The DHS has partnered with numerous public and private entities, including Wal-Mart and the NFL, to promote its See Something, Say Something campaign, the PSA’s for which feature predominantly white middle class Americans characterized as terrorists engaging in “suspicious behavior” such as talking to police officers or using video cameras.

“Part of the Department of Homeland Security’s guidelines for suspicious behavior include individuals “acting furtively and suspiciously” and “avoiding eye contact.” The side effects of heavy caffeine use include irritability, anxiety, tremulousness and muscle twitching,” reports the Daily Caller.

The fact that the call to Americans to report on each other is being taken to the lengths of plastering the message all over coffee cups is chilling and a shocking reflection of how Sovietized the country is becoming as a result of the myth that terrorists are everywhere when in reality peanut allergies, accident-causing deer and swimming pools pose a greater threat.

In addition, history shows us that recruiting the population to spy on each other in the name of security only ever creates an oppressive and fearful society, and doesn’t even provide greater security.

One common misconception about Nazi Germany was that the police state was solely a creation of the authorities and that the citizens were merely victims. On the contrary, Gestapo files show that 80% of all Gestapo investigations were started in response to information provided by denunciations by “ordinary” Germans.

“There were relatively few secret police, and most were just processing the information coming in. I had found a shocking fact. It wasn’t the secret police who were doing this wide-scale surveillance and hiding on every street corner. It was the ordinary German people who were informing on their neighbors,” wrote Robert Gellately of Florida State University.

Gellately discovered that the people who informed on their neighbors were motivated primarily by banal factors – “greed, jealousy, and petty differences,” and not by a genuine concern about crime or insecurity. This is precisely the kind of environment the ‘See Something, Say Something’ law, and the campaign itself, is designed to create.

In a bid to convince Americans to follow orders and report “suspicious behavior,” which the DHS has defined as a variety of mundane actions and even political affiliations, security corporations are lobbying for the passage of the See Something, Say Something Act (H.R. 963), which would encourage Americans to frivolously snitch on each other by providing legal protection for people who report “suspicious behavior” to the authorities.

Napolitano’s V.I.P.R. Vows to “Dominate, Intimidate and Control” the American People « Coach is Right

Since its inception in 2002,the Department of Homeland Security has grown increasingly contemptuous of the rights of the American people. But recently,another of Janet Napolitano’s handmaidens of harassment has begun to make news…albeit only on the web,of course. It is the TSA’s Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response task force–or VIPR. Organized into mobile swat teams,VIPR has executed some 8,000 highly public searches in the past 12 months.

And what meaningful operations they have been.

In a Georgia Amtrac station,VIPR personnel “patted down”all travelers,children and adults,both entering AND LEAVING the station.

In Santa Fe,New Mexico,teams of VIPR agents were assigned to conduct searches at a high school prom.

In Texas,agents thoroughly “…searched all private and commercial vehicles entering and exiting…”the port of Brownsville. EACH AND EVERY VEHICLE was searched even though the task force was not responding to any known or reported threat!

In April,VIPR staged a raid at a Tampa bus station. Once again,the teams were not responding to any particular threat. Rather,Homeland Security official Gary Milano said the purpose of the exercise was to “…invent the wheel in advance,in case we have to,if there is ever specific intelligence requiring us to be here.”

What Progressives Fail to Understand: This Is War (The Left plans their attack on us)

As for the progressive-libertarian joint effort, it isn’t as far out as it sounds, Ron Paul and Ralph Nader get it as did 1960s radical activist Carl Oglesby but Paul is a “nutcase” despite his anti-interventionist, antiwar, pro-civil liberties, anti-Federal Reserve stance and he wants to abolish the Gestapo TSA as well. Nader is poison to the Democrats and progressives/liberals who still believe in the functioning system despite watching Bush family operatives steal the 2000 election in Florida and then have not do a goddamned thing other than jerk off and point fingers at Nader when the Supreme Court put George W. Bush into the White House. Oglesby is a “conspiracy theorist” the dreaded pejorative that is used by all establishment lackeys and those enshrouded in comfortable cocoons of denial when they dare to ask serious questions. For even suggesting such a thing, even temporarily I was shunned as a leper, mocked and derided as much for that as for my inability to suck it up, turn the other cheek and be a pacifist. I must admit that I always had a bit of sympathy for the Jack Nicholson character, Colonel Nathan Jessep in the movie A Few Good Men, his methods were unsound and his arrogance was his undoing but he had it right when he barked that:

You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. The liberals and progressives are impotent and on the verge of extinction, of being hunted and persecuted in their own country simply because they never understood that there had to be someone on that wall to beat back the hordes. Better get a clue folks, they are closing in now.

I figured we would be seeing this. Back at the end of September, I wrote a column expressing my dreadful certainty that the left would be engaging in massive voter fraud in this election, and here comes the tidal wave of stories in the past couple of weeks about desperate attempts by the left to steal elections. One thing I did not mention in that piece is that I have long feared the left making the underhanded move of programming those computerized voting machines to steal our votes. If it’s a computer, it can be programmed to do anything, and how would we know how many votes are stolen if the machines aren’t talking?

As we get ready for perhaps the most important mid-term election in our lifetime, I was thinking about what I should write. There’s really nothing new, and I’m not in the mood to carry on about all these cheating, leftist enemies of freedom out there who can’t possibly win in an honest election, because their agenda is treasonous, so they have to play dirty, illegal tricks to get “votes.” Instead, I decided to go back and give you a re-run of one of the most intense pieces I’ve written, thus far.

Back in March, shortly after Barack Obama signed into illegal law, the unconstitutional, so-called healthcare bill, I wrote an open letter to those villains in our government. With the election just few days away, I thought it would be good to remind you just what is at stake and to revisit, “An Open Letter to the Evil Tyrants in Washington“:

To Mr. Obama, Mr. Reid, Mrs. Pelosi and your fellow travelers:

I write this for countless millions of Americans. We know who you are. We know what you are doing. We know your hatred for us–for America. You are traitors. You are the enemy within.

You and your ilk have been creeping into our institutions for much of the last century. You have crawled into our schools, polluted our colleges, and for most of the past thirty or more years have poisoned the minds of untold numbers of children and young adults, and you have deliberately lowered the educational standards to create a class of dumbed-down kids, while you continuously scream for “more money for education!” Now, you will use many young people of our country as unwitting tools to be your personal army, your Gestapo.

You have slithered onto our court benches, and you have nested in law offices all across our country. You have worked tirelessly to pervert and overthrow the laws of our land and our Constitution. You have fought for and gained public offices at all levels.

You hid your evil intentions, except among yourselves, and you took advantage of the trust of the American people who did not see the dangerous plans you had spawned for our great Republic. Over the decades of the last century, you positioned yourselves, quietly amassing your power.

Monroe County, TN occupies 653 square miles and borders the state of North CarolinaOct. 27, 2010 — As of 9:50 p.m. EDT, The Post & Email has just spoken with LCDR Walter Francis Fitzpatrick, III, who was arrested today at his home on a charge of “failure to appear” at a hearing last Friday of which he claims he was not notified.

Fitzpatrick is being held in the Monroe County detention facility.Fitzpatrick reported that there were four officers who used a taser on him “over and over and over” and that “they tried to rip off my left ear. I don’t know how much of it is left.” He states that he is unable to use his right arm and that “they came out with the intent to hurt me.

They broke down the door. It was a battle. They didn’t stop.”

The Post & Email contacted the detention facility earlier and inquired as to Fitzpatrick’s state of health and was told, “He’s fine.” When we asked if he were injured, the woman dispatcher answered, “No, not that I know of.”Fitzpatrick stated that a nurse came to the jail with an x-ray machine and took x-rays of his shoulders and ribs.

He reports that the ribs on his right side are still sore and that he was beaten over the head. He also said that he has facial contusions.“It was an ambush,” he said. “I resisted them. They hit me pretty hard.”
