While serving as an instructor at the Joint Forces Staff College (JFSC) , a branch of the National Defense Universityestablished by Congress, LTC Dooley took on the herculean task of guiding students through one of its most vibrant but controversial elective courses.
In grappling with the most dangerous aspects of radical Islamist ideology, students in the elective were
encouraged to debate and affirm or dismiss a number of notions regarding Radical Islam as well as confront what strategic U.S. actions were feasible or infeasible. Dooley assumed his instructor position within the National Defense University with an understanding that years of prior-approved course content, established guest speakers, and doctrinal teaching methodologies were still safe to discuss.

Now we have a political party, ready to nominate a candidate who claims he is a church-man, whose henchmen trample American democracy by excluding nomination of a candidate at the Republican Party meeting in Florida by a last-minute rule change. News is spreading of this far and wide, just as word of the Boston Massacre. Is this the mistake that will trigger a voter revolution?

After a weekend of rage amongst Ron Paul supporters over Rand Paul’s endorsement of Mitt Romney, the Ron Paul campaign has issued its first quasi-official response to the controversy in the form of a video blog by Jack Hunter which argues that the endorsement is a political move designed to position the Kentucky Senator for a presidential run in 2016.

Gov. Daugaard Brings War Against Republican Base Into the Open
I see that Gov. Dennis Daugaard is taking the war against the Republican base to the next level.

Back in 2010, Dennis Daugaard was one of my last choices for governor. He had been Lieutenant Governor under the RINO Mike Rounds–who himself managed to slither into the GOP nomination in 2002 after the two best candidates publicly annihilated one another in a bitter battle. I didn’t have a whole lot of specific reasons to oppose Daugaard, other than the realization that as a solid conservative myself, I would have found it difficult if not impossible to have sat second-chair in such a liberal, mealy-mouthed “Republican” administration for all those years…so how could any other real conservative have done so with such apparent ease? There were also rumors, admittedly not completely substantiated, that Daugaard had stumped for Governor Rounds on some of Rounds’ more “centrist” initiatives. Finally, when you consider that there were other more reliably conservative candidates, Daugaard was pretty far down on the scale of desirability for a committed Republican like myself.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Republican candidate Ron Paul refused Thursday to commit to backing Mitt Romney if the former Massachusetts governor becomes the party’s nominee for president.
An anti-war candidate, Paul said he’d need more information about Romney’s international agenda to make that decision.

“I’d talk to him and see what kind of a foreign policy he is going to have,” Paul, a congressman from Texas, told reporters at a rally two days before most of Missouri’s counties hold their Republican caucuses. “Mitt’s a friend and we talk a lot. We just disagree on the issues.”
Paul has pursued a strategy focused on caucus states, but he trails Romney, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich in the presidential race and has yet to win any of the states that have already voted.
Missouri’s caucuses Saturday are the first step in a lengthy process of awarding the state’s 52 delegates to the Republican National Convention. Paul so far has earned just 48 delegates, the least of the contenders, compared to Romney’s 495 delegates, according to the latest count by The Associated Press.
Paul hit strongly on his anti-war theme while speaking to about 1,000 people at the University of Missouri’s flagship campus. Romney and Santorum also campaigned in Missouri this week.
