GOP VP Candidate Ryan Pleaded for Obamacare | Veterans Today
When it came to opening a new health center in his own congressional district, Republican Paul Ryan—yes, the same one who is denouncing Obamacare around the country—wrote to the Federal department of Health and Human Servicesbegging for bucks.
By Sherwood Ross
While GOP vice-presidential hopeful Ryan today savages Obamacare as “irresponsible,” an editorial in the Nov. 1 The Nation magazine reports that on Dec. 10, 2010 Congressman Ryan wrote HHS “to recommend a grant application for the Kenosha Community Health Center Inc. to develop a new facility in Racine, Wis., an area within Ryan’s district.”
Paul McGuire — All Americans Will Receive a Microchip Implant in 2013 Per ObamaCare
A major news story broke on AOL and countless other mainstream news media outlets, this past week, that the Obama Health Care Bill will require all U.S. citizens and babies to receive a microchip or Medchip by March 23, 2013. Whether or not the microchip requirement in the bill is implemented by 2013, remains to be seen.
In 2010, my book “Are You Ready for the Microchip?” was released, and I asked the question, “Is the microchip implant hidden in the Healthcare Bill? Are newborn children starting in 2013 going to receive a microchip shortly after birth?” Then in the book, I wrote, “ In the massive US HEALTHCARE BILL, which your elected representatives voted for without reading, there is a section titled: Subtitle C-11 Sec. 2521 – National Medical Device Registry which states:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Obama administration on Monday said $1 billion of federal funds allocated in last year’s health reform law will go toward innovation programs designed to boost jobs and improve patient care.
The announcement is the administration’s latest attempt to show that it is working outside of a deeply divided Congress to create jobs.
The administration will award grants in March to people who come up with the best ideas to lift care and save money for those enrolled in the federal healthcare programs Medicare, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
Nearly Half of U.S. Lives in Household Receiving Government Benefit
Families were more dependent on government programs than ever last year.
Nearly half, 48.5%, of the population lived in a household that received some type of government benefit in the first quarter of 2010, according to Census data. Those numbers have risen since the middle of the recession when 44.4% lived households receiving benefits in the third quarter of 2008.
The share of people relying on government benefits has reached a historic high, in large part from the deep recession and meager recovery, but also because of the expansion of government programs over the years. (See a timeline on the history of government benefits programs here.)
Means-tested programs, designed to help the needy, accounted for the largest share of recipients last year. Some 34.2% of Americans lived in a household that received benefits such as food stamps, subsidized housing, cash welfare or Medicaid (the federal-state health care program for the poor).
Another 14.5% lived in homes where someone was on Medicare (the health care program for the elderly). Nearly 16% lived in households receiving Social Security.
High unemployment and increased reliance on government programs has also shrunk the nation’s share of taxpayers. Some 46.4% of households will pay no federal income tax this year, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center. That’s up from 39.9% in 2007, the year the recession began.

Is Islamic law a promoter of freedom or oppression?
(Sep. 10, 2011) — Jobs, jobs, and more jobs.. Then there’s health care, and the start of the football season. Just by listening to any radio sport call-in talk show, you’d come away convinced that the third pick in the second round was either the biggest mistake in human history or the most brilliant decision that mankind has ever made. I’ve often thought if these guys would put a tenth of their energy into solving the world’s problems that they put into their critiquing the game of football, all of our problems would’ve been solved the day after, say, the Bears shut out the then-to- be-Lions in 1932. Think of it, thousands and thousands of brains just thinking about world peace, world hunger, world population management, the future needs of clean energy, instead of millions of brain-hours deciphering the route of the tight end in the third quarter of last night’s game: did the receiver turn the wrong way or was it an interception by a defensive genius?
I don’t know for sure, but it is my belief that after I die, I don’t think I’ll be in any position to care one way or the other who will make the wild card team this year in the Central Division, or any other, for that matter. As I said, I may be wrong, but let’s say that I’m right, and if that’s the case I won’t be caring about my health care or about the summer job availability for inner city teenagers.. My concern won’t be on the well-being of my worthless 401k, or, sad to say, my neighbor’s sick colt. So what should I do? Should I be concerned about planning for a comfortable retirement or maybe start a new business? I know the perfect location for a laundromat, because our washing machine just went kaput. Or should I be concerned about staying alive, maybe making my continued existence my Number One top priority? Here’s a bit of wisdom; I don’t know if you’ll take it or not, but when your life could very well be on the line, you are not weighing the advantages of a chocolate mousse over a scoop of vanilla with a wafer………………………

Most Americans Still Have No Idea What the Health Care Law Does

It’s now been more than a year since President Obama signed the much-debated—and much-maligned—Affordable Care Act, and even longer since the details of the bill dominated the airwaves. It seems all that time has taken a toll on our memories. A new poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation found that the number of Americans who understand what’s in the health care bill is declining.
The Hill points out that last summer, 72 percent of people polled were aware that the new law will provide financial assistance to people who must buy insurance on their own, rather than getting it from an employer. Now, that number is down to 58 percent. While two-thirds of respondents last year knew the law expands Medicaid, fewer than half know that now. Just 29 percent knew that the law eliminates copays for some preventive services, and half said the law did not provide that benefit—despite the Department of Health’s recent announcement that it would require plans to make birth control and other women’s health services copay-free.
This is what happens when sweeping legislation takes years to be enacted; most provisions of the health care bill won’t take effect until 2014, though some have already taken effect. But major parts of the bill, like the individual mandate or the elimination of annual limits for insurance coverage, are still years away from being put into practice.
Given this astounding gap, can you blame people for hating “Obamacare” when all they hear about is the president getting sued for the law being unconstitutional, or businesses planning to drop coverage from their plans? Nancy Pelosi may have gotten a lot of heat for saying “we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it,” but it turns out she’s right. We won’t be able to judge public opinion on the Affordable Care Act until Americans tangibly feel its effect.
Meanwhile, if you need a refresher on what the health care bill does, the government has a useful timeline and the Kaiser Foundation has a pretty thorough explainer (pdf). For an even more abridged summary, check out this very cute video.

Indoctrination Fridays With Social Justice Math
Those of us who attended public schools before “social justice” spread through the curriculum like a bad infection probably remember sitting in math class and working through problems such as this one:
Leroy has one quarter, one dime, one nickel, and one penny. Two of the coins are in his left pocket and the other two coins are in his right pocket. The coins have been randomly placed in the two pockets.
What is the probability that Leroy will be able to purchase a 30-cent candy bar with the two coins in his left pocket? Using the coins, explain your reasoning.
We didn’t know it at the time, but while we busily charted all of Leroy’s different coin combinations, we were actually being taught to tacitly approve of America’s exploitative capitalistic system.
Think that’s taking things a bit too far?

Sustainable Health: Are You Ready to Be Forced into Health Prevention
Did you think that Obama care and Agenda 21 were not interwoven? The word “sustainable” appeared at least a couple of times in the Summary. The document is quite lengthy, 125 pages.
The National Prevention Strategy is not just concerned with addressing the leading causes of death and disability in the United States (heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic respiratory diseases, and unintentional injuries), but also with “preventable behaviors—including tobacco use, poor nutrition, physical activity, and excessive alcohol use.” These priorities have to align with Healthy People 2020 initiative:
* Eliminate health disparities (euphemism for spreading the wealth)
* Promote healthy development and healthy behaviors across life stages (who decides what is and is not healthy, sounds very controlling and totalitarian)
* Create social and physical environments that promote good health (are we going to be moved to some Elysian Fields, the land of milk and honey?)
* Interventions will reach beyond the health care and public health sectors to include activities that influence health in areas such as:
o Housing
o Transportation
o In-school and outdoor education
o The workplace
o The environment”
If this is not Orwellian enough, required by the Affordable Care Act, the President established an Advisory Group on January 26, 2011 when he appointed 13 people as members, adding two more members on April 8, 2011. Some of the members are doctors; however, the majority are bureaucrats. This advisory group gives guidance to members of the National Prevention Council.

Feds look to regulate food similar to tobacco, with hopes of saving money on health care:
“The federal government has a growing interest in the eating habits of Americans for the same reason it has an interest in tobacco consumption, said Kathleen Sebelius, the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
The reason is money, because three-quarters of medical-spending is driven by chronic diseases, such as obesity and tobacco-related diseases, she said.
Sebelius’ comments came at the tail-end of Tuesday’s White House press conference where officials showcased nine new photos that must be carried on cigarette packs. Officials used a survey of 18,000 people to find the images that would have the most distressing impact on groups of smokers, including young smokers and mothers of young kids.

A leading advocate of Obamacare told NPR yesterday that Americans who refuse to pay for health care should be forced to wear gold stickers on their foreheads and refused emergency hospital treatment, in a chilling throwback to how Jews were persecuted by being made to wear yellow stars by the Nazis during the occupation of Europe.
In an article carried on the NPR website entitled Alternatives To Mandating Insurance? Maybe, Dr. Len Nichols, Professor of Health Policy and Director of the Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics at George Mason University, and a staunch advocate of mandatory health care, came up with a novel idea “to make the consequences of not having insurance even more dramatic.”………………………

Texan calls for jail time for enforcing Obamacare
Texans take their rights seriously.A bill that has been prefiled for the 2011 state legislative session creates penalties of up to $5,000 in fines and up to five years in jail for anyone guilty of the “felony” of attempting “to enforce an act, order, law, statute, rule or regulation” of Obamacare, the president’s plan that effectively nationalizes the health-care decision making process.
The plan by Texas Rep. Leo Berman, R-Tyler, effectively would nullify the federal health care legislation in his state. At least, that is what the bill that “relates to federal health care legislation” says: The federal Act: 1 is invalid in this state; 2 is not recognized by this state; 3 is specifically rejected by this state; and 4 is null and void and of no effect in this state.Get “Taking America Back,” Joseph Farah‘s manifesto for sovereignty, self-reliance and moral renewalIt provides that “a person who is an official, agent, or employee of the United States or an employee of a corporation providing services to the United States commits an offense if the person enforces or attempts to enforce an act, order, law, statute, rule, or regulation of the United States in violation of this chapter.

No. 111-152 interferes with the right of the people of this state to regulate health care as they determine is appropriate, and makes a mockery of James Madison’s assurance in Federalist Paper Number 45 that the powers delegated to the federal government are ‘few and defined’ while those that remain in the state governments are ‘numerous and indefinite.’”
The Propositions 106 amends Arizona Constitution to block any rules mandating Commiecare™
Proposition 106Proposition 106 would amend the Arizona Constitution to block any rules mandating participation in a health care system. It purports to ensure that Arizona residents have the right to enroll in a private health care system. In reality, the chief goal of Prop. 106 is to undermine federal law, in particular H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act, better known by the pejorative “Obamacare.”
However, anyone with a basic knowledge of civics understands that states cannot override federal law; this attempt to do so is costly, pointless and embarrassing for Arizona. In a time when Arizona has had to repeatedly balance its budget by slashing social programs, more or less inviting a federal lawsuit would be financially irresponsible. The proposition is a rash knee-jerk reaction to an unpopular federal measure and nothing more.In addition, universal public health care would greatly benefit Arizona citizens. Arizona has one of the highest percentages of uninsured people in the nation, particularly uninsured children.
Those people have the right to health care, but can’t afford it. Plus, even those who can currently afford private health insurance would benefit from H.R. 3962, as reducing the number of people who receive health care they can’t pay for would drive down health care costs across the board.Because it’s a costly, irresponsible waste of time and would hurt, rather than help, Arizona citizens, vote NO on Proposition 106.

US House puts oceans, coasts under UN: Senate vote will seal the deal
“It’s too late; it’ll just have to be stopped in the Senate,” Tom, the young male answering the phone in U.S. Rep. John Boehner’s R-OhioWashington D.C. office, said about HR 3534 CLEAR Act.
This is the globalist bill designed to give away our land, oceans, adjacent land masses and Great Lakes to an international body, and makes us pay $900 million per year until 2040. HR 3534 is a thinly disguised permanent roadblock to American energy which drives American companies out of the Gulf, delays future drilling, increases dependency on foreign oil, implements climate change legislation and youth education programs; but most important, it mandates membership in the Law of the Sea Treaty without the required two-thirds vote to ratify it in the U.S. Senate.
Read more at LOST belowThe House passed the CLEAR Act HR 3534 209-193, July 30, 2010. This bill was originally introduced July 8, 2009, but was resurrected by the recent Deep Water Horizon oil spill crisis. According to http://www.govtrack.us, a debate may be taking place on a companion bill in the Senate, rather than on this particular bill. This bill was read for the second time Aug. 4, 2010, and placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar under General Orders, Calendar No. 510. No official Senate Bill number exists as of yet.

Some have said this bill would be a long shot to be approved in the Senate or it will take a while to surface. Similar assessments were made about the health-care bill. Past precedent reflects how a 2,200+-page bill can be created, printed, members held hostage, and that same bill voted on within hours to facilitate holiday recess. This bill assesses a Conservation Fee of $2 per barrel of oil and 20 cents per million BTUs of natural gas for all leases on Federal onshore and offshore lands Section 802.
This will jettison America’s energy prices for oil and gas through the roof!

Prepare To Be Betrayed
by Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr.
Recently by Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr.:
LRC Under Attack It’s another revolutionary season in American politics, with voters preparing to do everything they can within the structure of the law to throw out the bad guys and the bad system they represent. The focus is on this amorphous thing called the Tea Party, which embodies a huge range of political impulses from libertarian to authoritarian, united under the common belief that everything is going wrong in Washington, with a common goal of upending the status quo.
Candidates that the Republican Party doesn’t like are making big inroads into the party structure and, quite possibly, the election itself. That is fun to watch. The wind at their backs is the spectacular – but wholly predictable – failure of the Obama administration‘s economic witchcraft. Trillions and trillions created and spent and yet the suffering endures. The health-care bill is also a source of American public anger. People are not deceived into believing that whatever reforms we are getting are going to fix the problems of the current system; they will make them worse.
As it is, the freedom remaining in the system is the only reason that the system serves us at all. Take that away, and you take away a lifeline. The revolt, then, is in high gear. It’s not the first time, and it won’t be the last. The governed have long been very unhappy about the government, and they periodically wake up and seek to change it. It’s been some 18 years since the last go-round of such revolutionary sentiment.
It is arguably stronger today than it was back in 1994.
American People To Congress: Shut Up And Get The Hell Out Of Office
Americans are sending a pretty clear message to Congress members who have continually pushed hugely unpopular legislation this election year – shut up and get the hell out of office.
The recent success of Tea Party candidates hasn’t necessarily been too closely related to their actual policies – a new Gallup poll reminds us precisely why anti-incumbency fever is running rampant – people despise the government with a passion and that hatred shows no signs of abating. The survey shows that the level of public approval for Congress – 18 per cent – is a new low for a midterm election year.
A sitting Congress has never been more unpopular shortly before a midterm vote in history.“Both the president and the Democratic-led Congress saw a sharp slide in their public approval ratings last summer, punctuated by a sharp drop in October. Their ratings subsequently leveled off, but fell slightly further this summer, and remain at the lower level today,” reports Gallup.Increasing disgust and distrust of Congress can only be beneficial to a plethora of anti-incumbency candidates who are set to ride the wave of resistance to big government in attempting to overthrow the status quo this November.ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOWAmerican People To Congress: Shut Up And Get The Hell Out Of Office 150709banner2Tea Party candidates who are not merely vassals for the Republicans, people like Rand Paul and Sharron Angle, have found politically fertile soil in juxtaposing themselves as genuine alternatives to the Washington elite, and this can only be a good thing for America.
Widespread revulsion at Congress for repeatedly pushing legislation opposed by the majority of Americans, such as the increasingly unpopular Obamacare as well as cap and trade, have undoubtedly been the primary influence behind the slump in approval ratings for lawmakers. But another factor must surely be the cackling arrogance with which people like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and others have figuratively slit America’s throat while smiling, sneering and laughing about it in public. Not only have stunts like the infamous march through Capitol Hill before the health care vote, which was blatantly a huge middle finger in the face of the country, made people’s blood boil, but merely the day to day contemptuousness with which Pelosi and her gang conduct themselves seems deliberately crafted to rile the vast majority of Americans who oppose the big government agenda.Pelosi is without a doubt one of the most loathed Speakers of the House in American history, and her conceited chutzpah came to a head when she told Americans with a straight face that lawmakers would have to pass the health care bill before Americans could find out what was in it.
Kelleigh Nelson — American Citizens as Guinea Pigs, Part 5
Experiments on our MilitaryThe brave men and now women of our military deserve the very best in equipment, training, protection, leadership, healthcare, housing and pay.
Undoubtedly, they have been lacking in these areas and many more over the years. The active military and the veterans all deserve the very best we can give them as well as our daily prayers for all of them. Sadly, they have often been used as subjects for experiments conducted by the same groups I mentioned in Part 3 of this article, the Atomic Energy Commission AEC, the Department of Defense DOD, Department of Health, Education and Welfare, HEW, the Public Health Service, now the CDC, the National Institutes of Health NIH, the Veterans Administration VA, the CIA, and NASA.Undoubtedly, all of us have heard of Gulf War illness and depleted uranium DU sickness our veterans have come home with from the Iraq war. Several Persian Gulf War vets reported that they were ordered to take experimental vaccines during Operation Desert Shield or face prison.
Most researchers cite radioactive poisoning from depleted uranium shells as the deadliest element in the Gulf War Illness “cocktail.” In the 1991 war the Pentagon fired more than 340 tons of DU projectiles at targets in Iraq and Kuwait. More than a half million Gulf era veterans are on medical disability. It was in 1993 that a group of twenty four affected soldiers went to a leading expert on radiation and found they had many times the “safe” level of toxic depleted uranium in their bodies. The military of course continues to deny the connection of depleted uranium to the returning vet’s illnesses, but so many were sick that in 2007, President Bush signed legislation for a newly mandated study. I have my doubts of the outcome simply because the government rarely takes responsibility for their crimes against the citizens and military personnel. However, in 1996, the DOD admitted that Desert Storm soldiers were exposed to chemical agents.
Hundreds of thousands of military personnel during the last seventy years have been involved in human experimentation and other intentional exposures conducted by the DOD, often without a service member’s knowledge or consent. In some cases, soldiers who consented to serve as human subjects found themselves participating in experiments quite different from those described at the time they volunteered.

Without an Idea, Capital and Resources, the American Worker is Nothing! | The Post & Email
CREATIVITY, AMBITION AND A FREE MARKET CREATE SUCCESS, NOT SOCIALIST LABOR UNIONSby Ron Ewart, ©2010The private enterprise system has created unprecedented wealth as opposed to socialist systemsSept. 7, 2010 — Did you see Obama in a labor day speech in Milwaukee this last weekend, dripping all over himself about the American worker? He was in full campaign mode to his base. It was, to this observer, disgusting. In the true spirit of Marxism and “let the workers of the world unite” Andy Stern – SEIU, he gushed socialist praises and accolades on his adoring audience. He shouted about his accomplishments of regulating the banks, wall street and the fat cats, doing as he always does, pitting one class of people against another. He extolled the virtues of nationalizing the entire American health care industry and that it would create jobs and save money. This hollow con man never found a lie he didn’t like, or couldn’t embellish. But the hard, cold truth is, workers in and of themselves, are not the only element in the equation that produces products, services, wealth and an increasing standard of living. Workers, without an idea, capital and natural resources are virtually nothing and can create nothing. To be fair, an idea, capital and natural resources are nothing without the American worker. They work in concert with each other. Each is indispensable to the equation and the equation will not work without each of the needed elements.

Judicial Watch Obtains New Documents Related to Closed-Door Obamacare Meetings
These secret meetings violated one of the president’s key campaign promises — to televise all health care discussions on C-SPAN:
“I’m going to have all the negotiations around a big table,” the President said during a town hall meeting in August 2008. “We’ll have doctors and nurses and hospital administrators. Insurance companies, drug companies — they’ll get a seat at the table, they just won’t be able to buy every chair. But what we will do is, we’ll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies.”
“Secret meetings with special interests to hammer out backroom deals are one of the reasons that Americans oppose Obamacare and this administration’s unethical approach to governing,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
Constitution “Silly Stuff,” Says Illinois Congressman
Democratic Congressman Phil Hare, who caused outrage earlier this year when he told constituents who asked him about the legality of the health care bill, “I don’t worry about the constitution,” has sparked fresh consternation after he was caught on camera in an Illinois hotel labeling the founding document of America “silly stuff”.
Video confrontations with arrogant and dismissive Congress members uploaded to You Tube have come to represent the angst of the Tea Party movement, as elected representatives betray disdain and sometimes even open hostility to the rule of law that they are supposed to uphold on behalf of their constituents. The latest example was provided by Illinois Congressman Phil Hare, who was asked on camera about his previous response to a question about Obamacare during a meeting with constituents, in which he told the audience “I don’t worry about the Constitution on this to be honest.”
The new clip shows a citizen asking Hare, “Where in the constitution does it say that you can force people to buy health care?” to which Hare responds, “Oh boy, we’re not going there again are we?”Watch the clip below.
