It was “talking points” that gave oxygen to the Big Lie that an unwatched anti-Islamic YouTube was responsible for the terrorist attack in Benghazi which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

 

When former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton yelled “What difference does it make”, she knew at heart that the Obama regime was already making sure Benghazi wouldn’t matter.

 

We bridled at her hissy fit, not seeing through the unshakeable confidence she brought to the congressional hearing that came from knowing the lies told to the American people would never be redressed in any meaningful way.

A new Quinnipiac poll comparing potential Democratic candidates for 2016 comes to a familiar conclusion: Hillary Clinton, if she decides to run, would absolutely dominate the competition.

Some background: On April 3, 1996, then-Commerce Secretary Ron Brown and 34 others died when their Air Force plane crashed into a Croatian mountainside.

 

Brown’s flight left the Tuzla airport in Bosnia, a Muslim country. As in Libya, not everyone in Bosnia was thrilled by America’s intervention, and some were downright hostile to the American presence.

 

For no good reason, Hillary had made an unanticipated stop in Tuzla – without Bill – just a few days before Brown’s fatal flight.

That’s what it is called when you lie, make excuses, obfuscate and basically tell members in sworn testimony that matters of national security and life and death are none of their business.

“What difference does it make?” has to go down as one of the classic lines of executive-branch contempt for the more powerful branch – what is supposed to be the people’s branch – of government.

 

Others have explained in plain language all the reasons the truth makes a difference:

 

 

 

Because lying to the people by government to cover up ineptitude and bad policy is serious stuff;

 

Because the needless and unavenged deaths of an ambassador and other Americans is intolerable;

 

Because if the executive branch is permitted to get away with such behavior it is likely to be repeated again and again;

 

Because the people have a right to know what actually happened and information is being purposely and arrogantly withheld;

 

And because her story makes no sense.

Going home: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton left New York-Presbyterian Hospital on Wednesday after being treated for a blood clot

 

Republicans have been battering the Obama Administration and any officials associated with the September 11 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate, which killed four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

 

The Washington Post reports that Clinton ‘remains committed’ to appearing in front of the Congressional committees, though no date has been set.

 

The new House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman, Rep Edward Royce, said the government accountability report on the attack points to ‘an unacceptable failure of leadership’ leading up to the attack.

 

Some Senate Republicans have threatened to block the confirmation of Sen John Kerry, Clinton’s successor as Secretary of State, until Clinton testifies.

 

Clinton has long said she planned to leave the job as the nation’s top diplomat after Obama’s first term.

 

. Her physicians say she suffered no stroke or neurological damage as a result of the clot. She is expected to make a full recovery.

 

Clinton’s illness led her to cancel an overseas trip and scheduled testimony before Congress about the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

 

When her absence was reported, several pundits and newspapers accused Clinton of making her illness seem worse than it was to dodge questions from lawmakers over the attack, which has been blamed on lax security installed by the State Department.

US mainstream propaganda news sources have, so far, denied the truth of this incident and as late as 28 December were reporting that Secretary Clinton would be returning to work this past week after her having suffered a bout of the flu and a concussion.

 

Within hours of the GRU releasing their information on the Iranian air crash of the US military C-12 Huron, however, these same American media propaganda news sources began reporting that Secretary Clinton was hospitalized for what they described as a blood clot on her brain near her skull.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s admittance to the New York- Presbyterian Hospital Monday, Dec, 31 – with a blood clot caused by concussion – gave wings to a cloud of rumor and conspiracy theories surrounding her state of health. The hospital, where Saudi King Abdullah was also treated two years ago, stated that the Secretary was receiving anti-coagulents and her condition would be assessed after 48 hours.

Under the cover of the Newtown school shooting, an “independent” five member investigative panel quietly released an unclassified, 39-page report Tuesday night, detailing their findings of the attack that led to the murder of four Americans in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

The report cites five main reasons for the loss of life, all primarily related to inadequate security for U.S. personnel. However, the independent panel found that no “U.S. Government employee engaged in misconduct or willfully ignored his or her responsibilities, and, therefore did not find reasonable cause to believe that an individual breached his or her duty so as to be the subject of a recommendation for disciplinary action.” Stated another way, no one is to blame nor will be held accountable for the murders of Americans Sean Smith, Glen Dougherty, Tyrone Woods, and Ambassador Chris Stevens., so just continue with your business.

Speaking on Fox News, Bolton claimed “every foreign service officer in every foreign ministry in the world” is familiar with coming up with such “diplomatic illnesses” when they “don’t want to go to a meeting or a conference, or an event.”

If past is prologue expect the Benghazi investigations to be covered up whether or not Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testifies. According to Foreign Policy Magazine that despite the House and Senate foreign relations committees having announced she would testify on Benghazi this week, the State Department said last Thursday “that’s not a done deal.”

On Saturday, the deal was undone when it was announced that Hillary would not testify due to health issues but would be able to continue to work from home.

Recall how it was Clinton who was one of the first top Obama administration officials to mislead the public by falsely blaming a YouTube video for the deadly attack. President Barack Obama, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice and White House Press Secretary James Carney towed-the-line and repeated the same falsehood knowing it would be reported as the truth by the media.

Since then it has been revealed that the Obama-Clinton regime watched the terrorist attack take place via live feeds, knew within two hours that the Islamist militia group Ansar al-Sharia took credit for it, and declined life-saving requests for help.

For once, I am inclined to believe Hillary Clinton. The U.S. Secretary of State, suffering from a sick stomach, has reportedly fainted and bumped her head. As a result, her spokespeople have already announced that she will be unable to testify at the Benghazi hearings, although she was not due to appear until December 20, many days after the vaguely reported fainting spell.

 

Already, the internet is resounding with a chorus of “How convenient!” (See here and here, for example.) Many, upon hearing this news, are assuming that Clinton, who has been hedging for a month on whether to appear at the congressional hearings, has concocted yet another excuse to avoid facing the music on a scandal which, if pursued with integrity, would likely end her political career, to put it mildly.

I, on the contrary, would like to give Secretary Clinton the benefit of the doubt on this one. Though I have never participated in a cover-up involving the brutal murder and defilement of people under my direct employ, I can only imagine that if I had, and if I were being called on the carpet to answer questions about my role in events surrounding a seven-hour terrorist assault on my representatives in Libya, and the subsequent disinformation campaign being managed, in part, out of my office, I would be feeling sick to my stomach, too. I imagine I might even faint, as the day of reckoning approached.

Although the word was not used back then, the Clinton White House, with the help of a complicit media, rewrote the event’s “narrative” to assure re-election. Again, as with Benghazi, that narrative was clumsily improvised almost on a daily basis. Knowing the media had his back, Clinton responded much as Obama did: deny, obfuscate, and kick the investigatory can down the road until after the election.

If he didn’t testify, he said publicly that it was spontaneous combustion that led to what happened in Benghazi. He lent credence to the fact that it was the video, as the CIA director. Then he goes there, and he went to Benghazi, he conducted his own interviews. It’s after that trip to Benghazi that all of this starts hitting the fan.

 

Petraeus probably knows what happened. He knows full well what happened. And he could explain what really happened. But what happens now if he does? And, by the way, how does Hillary Clinton get away with being out of the country, and Panetta?

Evidence Hillary Answered the 3:00 a.m. Call While Obama Hung Up

This weekend, while pondering the recent revelations that explicit calls for military help may have been rejected, I realized the media has been misunderstanding the basic lines of authority that were likely in place in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

If those lines of authority were conventional, then on that night it is highly likely that Hillary Clinton did all she could while Barack Obama — who controlled vastly more resources — did nothing effective.

Now, I’m not at all excusing State Department decision-making that left the Benghazi compound ridiculously vulnerable or the State Department’s spin after the attack. Instead, I’m focusing on the events of that night — the subject of the most recent revelations that someone rejected urgent calls for military help.

Is Hillary Clinton‘s insistence yesterday that the leaked State Department e-mails were “not evidence” yet more evidence that indicates the Obama White House not only knew what was going on but deliberately turned a blind eye to Benghazi because of that ideology?

Specifically, did an ideological soft spot for Sharia — Obama’s name is being used by his step-grandmother to raise funds to educate kids in Sharia — blind the U.S. government to the threat posed by Ansar Al-Sharia? A group whose objective, says its Libyan leader, is to “impose Sharia” on Libya.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday downplayed State Department internal e-mails regarding the deadly attack on the diplomatic mission in Benghazi on September 11th, reported by Reuters, and Fox News by telling the AP, “Posting something on Facebook is not in and of itself evidence.” Clinton added, “I think it just underscores how fluid the reporting was at the time and continued for some time to be.”

Don’t look behind you. Tread the path resolutely to what you have to do. Don’t idly look out your windows, there isn’t time. Ignore completely predictions by talking heads, film stars and best selling authors who claim the Clintons are about to expose Obama.

There is no altruism to be found in the cut-throat politics of the lib-left progressives. They long ago doubled down together in the luxurious comfort of the same feather bed while the people who elected them to serve suffer it out in the worst economy since the Great Depression.

Recognize reality when you see it and never doubt what you saw with your own eyes. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton included a chuckle when she last spoke about the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya. Obama dropped his ‘likeable’ mask at the last presidential debate, showing the malevolent look he’s kept largely hidden during the last four years of Marxist misery of the masses.
